Ohio, like all states, has minimum auto insurance requirements; however, Ohio's "auto insurance" requirements are a bit different. You are actually required to obtain, and show proof of, financial responsibility. So, rather than only being able to purchase a liability car insurance policy, Cincinnati drivers are able to choose from a variety of ways to meet the financial responsibility requirements in Ohio. This makes it much easier for some Ohio drivers to obtain affordable car insurance in Cincinnati.

In Ohio, you can obtain affordable Cincinnati car insurance, or satisfy financial responsibility requirements, in any of the following ways.

=95 Purchasing a liability car insurance policy. Cincinnati companies with more than 25 vehicles apply for these, and once they are approved, the Ohio BMV issues the certificate.

=95 Obtaining a Treasurer of State certificate.
This summer saw the creation of the Cincinnati Schools ' Parent Leadership Institute. The program reflects the changing role that parents play in public education. As Vanessa White, the Board President of the Parents for Public Schools (PPS) stated: "The days of bake sales are long gone. Today, parents need a new set of skills and knowledge if they are to realize their full potential to impact student achievement and drive school improvement." Organizations such as PPS work to align the needs of Cincinnati schools with the resources of parents in order for both sides to work together for the benefit of children attending Cincinnati schools.

One of the models that the Cincinnati schools have been looking at is the Pritchard Committee of Lexington, Kentucky. The Pritchard Committee established the Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership and trained over 1300 parents from a variety of backgrounds in the ways that they could be productive in assisting the public school system. Cincinnati schools have seen the success of the Lexington program and have worked diligently to see if such a program could have a similar positive effect on parental involvement in Cincinnati schools. Ms. White is eager to see how Cincinnati schools will benefit and expresses high hopes for the program: "Expectations have been raised for students and teachers, and it's time for parents to step up to the plate as well. This program will greatly enhance our ability to identify and develop parent leaders who can then engage other parents to ensure that our schools provide a quality public education for all children."

Other educational professionals in the Cincinnati schools have also welcomes the process and look to the success of the Lexington program to justify their enthusiasm. Superintendent Rosa Blackwell argues that "decades of research confirm that when parents are more involved, student achievement increases."

Cincinnati schools stand to benefit from those decades of research in creating a program that clearly aligns the activities of parents and teachers in order to make a Cincinnati public school environment that provides the most comprehensive program for students.

Cincinnati schools are relying on a number of local and national partners to implement the program. In addition to the Pritchard Committee, Cincinnati schools will be working with the United Way and Xavier University. These groups hope to create Community Learning Centers where parents can come for training. Cincinnati schools are grateful for the support from business and other community partners in order to fund these Community Learning Centers. Among the grant supporters are the KnowledegeWorks Foundation, the Scripps Howard Foundation and the Kroger Foundation. All of these groups will work in conjunction to make the program as effective as possible for Cincinnati school parents.

To start the program off, a pilot group will begin working under the direction of Zakia McKinney. Ms. McKinney has worked as an Education Director at the Urban League as well as an Executive Director of the Walnut Hills Churches. She has been active in community organizations for many years and looks forward to sharing her experience with Cincinnati schools. She is optimistic of the program's potential for Cincinnati schools, stating that "The Parent Leadership Institute will play an important part by training parents as informed advocates and willing change agents equipped to engage other parents to work with the schools on solutions for change" <bio>Stacy Andell is a staff writer for Schools K-12, providing free, in-depth reports on all U.S. public and private K-12 schools.
Cincinnati Schools' Green Renovation

Cincinnati School's has in effect a long term $1 billion building project that will help to renovate and rebuild many of its older buildings. One Cincinnati School 's elementary school, Pleasant Ridge Elementary School, has been recently featured in District Administration. This national magazine focuses on issues in K-12 education. The article from the August issue discusses the growing concern and interest in green building and environmentally friendly construction. The article states that even though the upfront cost can be more the long term benefits of green construction are quite clear. The construction of Cincinnati Schools' Pleasant Ridge Elementary School is not only a gain for green construction strategies but it also teaches the students important lessons about the environment and responsibility.

Cincinnati Schools' Pleasant Ridge Elementary School will be the first LEED School in Cincinnati Schools upon its completion. The LEED Green Building Rating System was devised by the U.S. Green Building Council which has helped Cincinnati Schools write its new building plans and codes. The article refers to the work of Ginny Frazier as one of the major influences on the Pleasant Ridge Elementary School project. A private citizen who lives in the area, Frazier is the head of a local group that advocates environmentally friendly building. She went to the Cincinnati Schools' authorities and administrators with proposals on how the school in her neighborhood could be rebuilt using green materials and environmentally friendly tactics. Some of the ideas she proposed included according to the article, "geothermal heating so the new building uses the earth's temperature for cooling and heating, using natural building materials, noxious-free cleaning products and art supplies, as well as natural water filtration systems."

The article discusses the five key areas that the Cincinnati Schools' Pleasant Ridge Elementary School project uses innovative techniques or old-fashioned common sense to improve the building design. The Cincinnati Schools' Pleasant Ridge Elementary School project will improve the lighting of the schools in several ways. The lights will feature sensors that will automatically turn off lights in unoccupied rooms. Currently Cincinnati's City Hall is using a similar system that has greatly reduced energy costs. The Cincinnati Schools' Pleasant Ridge Elementary School will also have photovoltaic panels, which convert solar energy into electricity. Saving energy with heating and cooling systems is also a concern. All the new and renovated Cincinnati Schools will have central air systems. The article states that, "Air conditioned classrooms prevent pollution from outside, and in the end, help asthmatic children breathe easier, he says. And moisture from hot, humid days can also cause ceiling pads to buckle or gym floors to sag"

Another area the article talks about is indoor air pollution. Cincinnati Schools' Pleasant Ridge Elementary School project is using less carpet in the design in order to help reduce pollutants indoors. Plans for reducing the amount of water use in the Cincinnati Schools' would also be based on sensors that detect movement around sinks and toilets. The article comments on the concerns that the Cincinnati Schools' Pleasant Ridge Elementary School project has in this area. The main concern is in using faucets that have an automatic shut off system or a push button system. <bio>Patricia Hawke is a staff writer for Schools K-12, providing free, in-depth reports on all U.S. public and private K-12 schools. The entire playing area is confined to the Cincinnati Bengals practice field allowing guests and participants to have much more one on one contact than at a golf outing. Whether signing autographs, talking football, or pitching cornhole bags, the atmosphere is relaxed and engaging.

The game of cornhole is simple. Pitch a bag of corn toward a 6" hole cutout on a 2' x 4' elevated board. In this event all boards are American Cornhole Boards. These are the best cornhole boards available. The boards are made of hardwood with all rounded edges, and the AC Cornhole Bags are the Official Tournament Series SoftTouch Bags, so excuses are limited to the individual not to the equipment.

The participants at this event vary in size and demeanor. Each having their own special cornhole bag delivery and style, hoping to be good enough to win the round they are playing in so as to avoid elimination and go on to the next round.

Proceeds from the Carson Palmer Cornhole Classic go to Cincinnati based Lighthouse Youth Services. Carson is a strong supporter of the Emancipated Youth Program of Lighthouse Youth Services that provides supervised apartment living and aftercare services for youth 18 and over who have been discharged from HCJFS custody.

It's true the Carson Palmer pass game is setting records for the Cincinnati Bengals, however it is his cornhole pitch that is making a difference in lives at Lighthouse Youth Services. <bio>Kenneth R.
Why should I buy, instead of rent?

Answer: You'll love the feeling of having something that's all yours - a Cincinnati home where your own personal style will tell the world who you are. A thriving vegetable garden in the backyard, a tiled entryway, a yellow kitchen... when you own, you can do it all your way! But there's more to owning a Cincinnati home than personal satisfaction. You can deduct the cost of your mortgage loan interest from your federal income taxes, and usually from your state taxes, too. And interest will compose nearly all of your monthly payment , for over half the number of years you'll be paying your mortgage. This adds up to hefty savings at the end of each year. And you're also allowed to deduct the property taxes you pay as a homeowner. If you rent, you write your monthly check and it's gone forever. Another financial plus in owning a Cincinnati home is the possibility its value will go up through the years.

There are advantages to buying a Cincinnati home versus renting. View these advantages in a financial comparison of buying versus renting in the Buy vs. Rent Calculator.

Savings: Buying

In many cases, the amount of money a renter spends on rent can be about the same as or less than the amount a homeowner spends on a mortgage. With the tax benefit for homeowners, the savings can be significant.

Buy vs. Rent Comparison

The renter starts out paying $800 per month with annual increases of 5% The homeowner purchases a Cincinnati home for $110,000 and pays a monthly mortgage of $1,000 After 6 years, the homeowner's payment is lower than the renter's monthly payment With the tax savings of homeownership, the homeowner's payment is less than the rental payment after 3 years

Monthly Expenses: Buying

Your rental company takes part of your rent payment to cover certain housing expenses. When you decide to purchase a home, you accept responsibility for paying for these expenses (listed below). They are additional costs to your monthly mortgage payment and should be included in your budget estimates:

Cincinnati Home Taxes and Special Assessments Home/Hazard Insurance Utilities Maintenance

Home Owner Association (HOA) Fee: Doesn't apply to all purchases. It pays for trash and snow removal and maintenance of common grounds if applicable.

Membership Fee: It may pay for recreational facilities and other services (cable TV).

Looking for an apartment? It can be both exciting - and frustrating! But if you approach the whole process systematically and if you know your rights, apartment hunting doesn't have to be a hassle. Read through this Renter's Kit before you begin. And happy hunting!

Before You Start Looking...

Know your rights and responsibilities: Federal law prohibits housing discrimination based on your race, color, national origin, religion, sex, family status, or disability. If you have been trying to rent a Cincinnati home or apartment and you believe your rights have been violated, you can file a fair housing complaint. When you live in an apartment, you have both rights and responsibilities. Be sure you know what's expected of you - and what you can expect in return.

Figure out what you need: It's a good idea to think through what you need in an apartment BEFORE you begin shopping. How many bedrooms do you need? Do you need to be close to schools? Do you need parking? Make a list before you begin...that will help you narrow down your search. <bio>By Sandy Bakst, committed to EXCEEDING your real estate expectations.
Cincinnati Pilot Schools

Cincinnati Schools are pleased to announce that three area schools have been selected to participate in a nationwide pilot program to improve teacher quality. The three Cincinnati Public Schools chosen include John P. Parker School in Madisonville, South Avondale School in Avondale, and Whittier School in Price Hill. All the schools were chosen based on their federal ranking within the No Child Left Behind Act.
Home loans can be available from several types of lenders--thrift institutions, mortgage companies, commercial banks, and credit unions. Various lenders may quote you different prices, so you should contact several lenders to make sure youand#65533;re getting the best price. You can also get a Cincinnati home loan through a mortgage broker. Brokers set up transactions rather than lending money directly; in other words, they will find a lender for you. The brokerand#65533;s contacts to several lenders can mean a bigger selection of loan products and terms from which you can choose.

There are many factors to consider when looking for a home

Types of Cincinnati homes - There are many different types of homes: single family, condominium, townhouse, and duplex. Additionally, the type of home you select may impact your buying power.

New or existing home - Consider whether you want to move into a new home or an existing home. In general, new Cincinnati homes are more costly than existing homes. However, the condition of an existing home can significantly increase your maintenance requirements.

Quality of home - Examine the condition of the home. Carefully inspect the structure, interior and exterior of the house for defects. The additional renovation costs may add up over time and exceed your maintenance estimates. Will the house need a lot of repairs? How old are the appliances? The purchase of the home is one step, but the renovations and repairs are added costs that need to be considered. Would you prefer to purchase a newer, costlier home or would you prefer to invest additional time and money into renovations and repairs for an older, less expensive home?

Features - Consider the features of the home. Does it have gas or electric heating? How many bathrooms does it have? How many bedrooms do you need? All of these characteristics will influence the price of the home and your monthly housing expenses. HUD's Wish List worksheet (A PDF Reader is necessary to view this file. PDF reader options for the visually impaired.) can help you identify and prioritize the features you are looking for in a home.

Location - Would you rather live in the city, the country, or the suburbs? Do you want to be near parks or the library? What about a shopping center? Is it important for you to be near major highways or public transportation? Get a feel for the surrounding area by exploring the Cincinnati neighborhood and talking to residents.

Crime rate - Look into the safety of the Cincinnati neighborhood. Does the Cincinnati neighborhood have a high crime rate? Has there been an increase in crimes committed in the area? If so, how will this influence the future property value of your home?

School system - The quality of the school system in a particular area is not only important to families with children but can influence the property value of your home.

Economic stability of area - The economic growth and stability of the area surrounding a Cincinnati home can influence its future property value.

Cincinnati Home tax - Examine the annual amount of Cincinnati real estate taxes and other assessments levied on Cincinnati homes in the Cincinnati neighborhood you are considering.

Brokers will generally make contact with several lenders regarding your application, but they do not have to find the best deal for you unless they are contracted with you to be your personal agent. You should also consider contacting more than one broker, just as you would with banks or thrift institutions.

Knowing if you are dealing with a lender or a broker may not always be cut and dry. Some financial institutions work as both lenders and brokers. And most brokersand#65533; advertisements do not use the word "broker." So be sure to ask whether a broker is involved. This information is important because brokers are usually paid a fee for their services that may be separate from and in addition to the lenderand#65533;s origination or other fees. A brokerand#65533;s compensation may be in the form of "points" paid at closing or as an add-on to your interest rate, or both. You should ask each broker you work with how he or she will be compensated so that you can compare the different fees. Be prepared to negotiate with the brokers as well as the lenders. <bio>By Sandy Bakst, committed to EXCEEDING your real estate expectations.
Almost everybody has a dream home. A place they like to wander through in their thoughts, choosing imaginary wallpaper and putting in imaginary skylights. But for too many people, dream Cincinnati homes remain just that--dreams. The reality of owning their own home never seems to become theirs.

Once you have figured out what kind of home are looking for, the next thing to do is to search for the best possible deal. Although this is the toughest part of the whole home buying process, doing your homework certainly does help. There are two ways of doing this. Searching on your own or by hiring a Cincinnati real estate agent and letting them do the hard work for you! Leverage their experience!

In case you are looking to do it yourself, here are a few tips that would certainly help.

Know Your Rights as a Homebuyer

Before you start, there are many laws that protect you from scams, unnecessary expenses, and discrimination in the process of homebuying. Know your rights!

Find out How Much Mortgage Can You Afford

You can save yourself a lot of wheel-spinning if you take a minute to figure out how much mortgage you can afford. Generally, a lender will want your monthly mortgage payment to total no more than 29% of your monthly gross income (that's your monthly income before taxes and other paycheck deductions are taken out.) You also need to consider current loan interest rates. The lower the interest rate, the more expensive the home you'll be able to afford. Follow our tips and use these simple calculators to see how much you can afford in a mortgage payment.

Create Your "Wishlist"

Make your Wish Lst. Focus on the features you want in a home: 2 bedrooms or 3? 1 bath or 2? Garage or no garage? Knowing what you're looking for will help you focus your search. And it will help your Cincinnati real estate broker, too.

Research, Research and Research!

The easiest way to do this is the Internet! The best way to find what you should expect for your hard earned money is to surf all the Cincinnati real estate sites and see what is available in your price range! Make a Short list of all the houses that meet most of your (written down) requirements.

Searching Tip

Searching for Cincinnati real estate over the net is so much easier than browsing a newspaper because you can key in your personal search criteria and donand#65533;t have to be bothered with the vast number of listings that arenand#65533;t for you. Internet Cincinnati real estate sites offer customized search options that allow you to zero in on your key requirements.

Local newspapers would be a better bet in case you are looking to buy a house in the same locality. Sunday newspapers generally have a number of good listings.

Make appointments to look at all the short listed houses

Make sure that you visit each and every house short listed. Call the landlord well in advance and set up an appointment. Don't shy away from taking as many inspections as you want.

You can find out by asking yourself some questions:

Do I have a steady source of income (usually a job)? Have I been employed on a regular basis for the last 2-3 years? Is my current income reliable?

Do I have a good record of paying my bills?

Do I have few outstanding long-term debts, like car payments?

Do I have money saved for a down payment?

Do I have the ability to pay a mortgage every month, plus additional costs?

If you can answer "yes" to these questions, you are probably ready to buy your own home. <bio>By Sandy Bakst, committed to EXCEEDING your real estate expectations.
The Cincinnati Red Stockings is the very first team of baseball professionals. This means that all members of the club were paid players. The club has major influences on how baseball is today. The popularity of the team boomed from the first time they played and won in 1869. After winning their first game over Mansfield Independents, they set off to create the longest winning streak in the history of baseball. They won 130 games straight, until the Brooklyn Atlantics defeated them in 1870.

The fame of the team has made its mark in the sport that gave birth to them. There were nicknames for players, which is also evident to baseball players of our generation. They also made an impact to the fashion of baseball uniforms, creating the color that some teams derive their name from, like the Boston Red Sox.

There were few sighting of the Red Stockings After 1870. They fully resurfaced in 1876, as one of the first eight teams in the National League. However, the team name is probably the closest it can get to the original team. The team struggled to win games. They ranked last in two consecutive years.

However, they were not about to give up. They changed their name to Cincinnati Reds. This proved to be a good thing because of the good season they played in 1878 to 1879. This did not continue though. Their violation of the rules of the association led to their expulsion from the league in 1880. The league was not happy about their distribution of beers to fans during games. The team also declined to stop playing on Sundays, adding more reason for the expulsion.

The incident did not stop the team from playing baseball though. They played for the newly founded league American Association. It commenced in 1882. During the first year of the league, the Reds dominated. They slowly slipped after a while because of the competition in the league. They bounced back and have been trailing the St. Louis Brown for some time.

They also went through a tough time. Their attempts to go back to the top were challenging. Just when they thought things would get better after a strong start in 1888, they have to endure yet another obstacle. One of their star players, Bid McPhee suffered from a leg injury and winning was difficult without him in the field.

Although there were hopes of the team getting back on their knees, the team only finished fourth in their final game under the roof of the American Association. The Cincinnati Reds went back to the National League in 1990 and stayed.

The team has definitely contributed a lot to the evolution of the sport. Being the first team to have all professional players and having a 130-winning streak under their belt are reasons enough to remember the team in a special kind of way. Although the players made bad choices and struggled to bring back their stature, they have raised the standard of the sport and of the league in general.<bio>Rick Grantham is an expert on sports equipment, specially on Cincinnati Reds Merchandise for more information on the MLB Shop, visit BooYah Village.</bio>

Teacher Advancement Program

Three Cincinnati Schools have volunteered to take part in a new program next school year that is aimed to improve the school's instructional strategies and increase professional development. The aim of the program is to illustrate the connection between effective teaching and the student's academic performance. The Cincinnati Schools involved in the pilot program are John P. Parker School in Madisonville, South Avondale School in Avondale and Whittier School in Price Hill. These schools cover kindergarten to eighth grade. These schools were chosen over other Cincinnati Schools due to each school's rankings within the federal No Child Left Behind Act and their potential for growth.

The Teacher Advancement Program is a research based school reform program that is designed to retain the best teachers in the profession in the schools. The Teacher Advancement Program was created in 1999 by the Milken Family Foundation. A major goal of the Teacher Advancement Program is to reverse the tendency of gifted young teachers leaving schools for other work by turning teaching into a worthwhile career choice. Teacher Advancement Program is endorsed by the Ohio Department of Education as a new restructuring program and by Cincinnati Schools' teachers' union, the Cincinnati Federation of Teachers. Teacher Advancement Program focuses on four areas of teacher development and student achievement:

• Ongoing, applied professional growth -- Teachers are given time each week during the school day to work with teachers in the same grades or subjects to match instructional practices to student needs.

• Multiple career paths -- Each school offers mentors and master lead teachers to meet regularly with teachers to plan and reflect on instruction.

• Instructionally focused accountability -- Teachers will focus on student data to improve instruction and on feedback from observations by the mentors, master teachers and principals.

• Incentive pay -- Following negotiations with the CFT and CPS, incentive pay for teachers could be added for student achievement, professional growth and/or instructional growth.

Cincinnati Schools Set Five Year Plan

Cincinnati Schools have initiated a five year progress plan beginning this coming school year. The plan known as Building Futures: Every Student... Every School... Every Day has been recently approved by the Cincinnati Schools Education Broad. The plan aims to be students centered and sets high performance objectives. The plan wants to foster stronger links to families and community members with Cincinnati Schools and increase professional development among the teachers, staff and administrators. The plan also sets clear accountability measures. The plan was developed based on input from individuals and groups representing parents, community members, school staff, students, elected officials, business leaders, civil-rights organizations, faith-based associations, and others. This plan is divided into ten strategic areas. The plan sets improvement goals for all ten of these areas:

1. All pre K-12 students meet or exceed high academic standards. 2. All students graduate and are prepared for postsecondary education, successful careers and productive citizenship. 3. Schools have autonomy and effective governance, and are held accountable for results. 4. Schools are safe, supportive and family friendly. 5. The district supports schools and is accountable for results. 6. The district employs a highly qualified, diverse workforce that engages in continuous improvement through ongoing, high-quality professional development. 7. The district implements a systemic leadership development program. 8. State-of-the-art school facilities are designed to support student learning in a standards-based environment and are constructed meeting diversity-participation goals. 9. The district and schools are fiscally responsible and allocate resources equitably to support student learning. 10. Community partnerships strengthen the connection between schools and neighborhoods while supporting student learning and family engagement. <bio>Stacy Andell is a staff writer for Schools K-12, providing free, in-depth reports on all U.S. public and private K-12 schools.
Motor trade insurance is very important if you are in the motor trade business. Any of your cars could be damaged or completely wrecked while you are driving, or even while they are parked. The amount of cars on the road now-a-days that do not have insurance is very high, so you do not want to lose your whole investment on a car if your car gets wrecked and the person who caused the accident does not have insurance.

Motor trade insurance can also be used to protect your car if you are the one that causes the accident. Some people think that motor trade insurance is only good until you get into an accident, because then the insurance company decides that they do not want to pay your claim. Most of the time it is hard to know if you have a good insurance company until you have had an accident. However if you use an insurance broker then they usually have someone that works for them that will work with a particular insurance company on your behalf.

This in-house claims manager as they are sometimes referred will work for you to get the insurance company to pay for your claim. The best thing about using an insurance broker is that they work for you and not the insurance company, so they are going to do everything in their power to make you, their customer, satisfied. If you bought your own motor trade insurance, then you have to fight with the insurance company by yourself to get the money you deserve on a claim.

The biggest problem with this is that most of the time you do not know all of the insurance jargon that an insurance company uses, so you will not be able to understand everything that is going on. The insurance broker's claim manager knows the insurance business inside and out, so they can fight for you and get much better results. <bio>Save $$$ on your motor trader insurance at http://www.northerncounties.com/motor-trade-insurance.php </bio>

Let us first understand the idea of dental insurance. Dental insurance is a type of insurance in which a person buys a dental insurance plan by paying a monthly or annual premium to a dental insurance company. In turn the dental insurance company provides dental insurance coverage against dental costs. That is if there are any dental costs borne by the insured during the insurance period, the dental insurance company will reimburse the costs incurred by the insured.

Most of the health insurance provided today has dental insurance provided in it. So usually there is no need to buy a separate dental insurance. If your medical or health insurance does not provide dental insurance, you can obtain dental insurance in your health insurance by increasing your premium by a small amount. There are tax benefits also for going for this type of dental insurance plan. In the united states, the premium you pay for health insurance is straightaway deducted from the taxable income, thereby you end up paying lesser taxes.

Family dental insurance provides dental insurance to the entire family. It is better to go for this type of dental insurance compared to individual dental insurance. Since family dental insurance is much cheaper than individual dental insurance. In insurance as the number of people increase in the plan the premium per head reduces. This is because the risk gets distributed.

If your employer is providing dental insurance, then it is the best bet. You should go for this type of insurance if your employer is providing it as the major part of the premium is paid by the employer and the remaining part is paid by you.

Studies have also indicated that people with dental plans, have the tendency to have better dental health as they go for preventive dental checkups. This is good as bad dental health may ruin your looks as well as increase your costs. <bio>We offer the best independent family dental insurance source. The AFL merged with the National Football League (NFL) in 1966. The Bengals first season was in 1968, playing as an AFL franchise and expansion team; they only became part of the NFL in 1970. The team is now a part of the American Football Conference (AFC) North Division in the National Football League (NFL). Their uniform colors are black, white, and orange.

Their first seasons in the NFL

During their membership in the AFL, rusher Paul Robinson led the team and got the honor of rookie of the year. In their first NFL season in 1970, the Bengals won the AFC Central Division but during the playoff, they lost in the first round. Paul Brown, the Bengals esteemed coach from the 1950s guided the team to postseason games in 1973 and 1975. During that time, Bengals quarterback Ken Anderson emerged as one of the premier quarterbacks in the NFL. In both the 1973 and 1975, the Bengals got as far as the playoffs but lost again in the first round.

1980s - A good decade for the Bengals

The next few seasons saw a number of changes, particularly the several replacements of head coach. The result was mixed over the next NFL seasons. In 1981, the Bengals won the division crown once again under the guidance of head coach and hall of famer Forrest Gregg, formerly an offensive tackle. It was a fairly successful season for the Bengals with a couple of their players earning awards. Ken Anderson won his fourth passing title. Wide receiver and rookie Cris Collinsworth and running back Pete Johnson both gained more than a thousand yards. During the playoffs, their luck also turned around, defeating the San Diego Chargers and Buffalo Bills and playing in the Super Bowl. They finally lost to the San Francisco 49ers, the eventual Super Bowl Champions with a record of 26-21. Throughout the mid-80s, the Bengals was a team to contend with and played competitively. In 1985, Boomer Esiason replaced Ken Anderson as quarterback. Like Anderson, Esiason also became one of the best quarterbacks in NFL. In 1987, Cincinnati had a win-loss record of 4-11. The next season, 1988, they finished with a 12-4 record. Esiason won his first National Football Conference passing title and won player of the year together with quarterback Randall Cunningham of the Philadelphia Eagles. Among the American Football Conference's top-rated offense were Cincinnati running back James Brooks, tackle Anthony Munoz, and receiver Eddie Brown. The Bengals once again advanced to their second Super Bowl in a decade, playing against the San Francisco 49ers. But, history, repeating itself, the Bengals lost to the 49ers who scored a touchdown at the last minute.

1990s -- A struggle for the Bengals

In 1990, the Bengals once again won in the Divisions, gaining their fifth division title. Boomer Esiason got a 3,000-yard season for six consecutive times. The 1990s was a struggle for the Bengals compared to the 1980s. Between 1992 and 1994, the Bengals won only eleven games.<bio>Rick Grantham is an avid sports fan.
If you are having your carpet cleaned you need to decide which method to use first. If you have decided on steam cleaning you need to decide whether you should use a truck mounted steam cleaner or not. Truck mounted steam cleaning is the latest in carpet cleaning equipment. Learn more about this technology by reading this article.

If you are having steam cleaning done to your carpet you need to insist on having your carpet cleaner use a truck mounted system. Truck mounted systems have several advantages over portable carpet cleaner. For starters the cleaner does not have to bring anything into your home other than a couple of hoses. This means that all of the noisy and smelly equipment stays outside. It also means that there is no machine venting humid air into your hoe resulting in reduced humidity and reduced drying times. Another benefit of truck mounted units it that they have higher vacuum power. This results in more recovery of water leaving your carpet cleaner and dry much sooner. Truck mounted cleaning units can get carpet clean and dry in up to half the time of portable units. The last reason to use truck mounted steam cleaning is for the extra heat they can generate. Truck mounts can reach over 200 degrees which helps your carpets get cleaner and dry faster. There is no disputing the fact that hot water cleans better and portable cleaners can not touch the heat generated by truck mounted units.

As you can see there are several reasons to choose a truck mounted unit for your next carpet cleaning. This article just scratches the surface. Hopefully you have decided to use a cleaner with a truck mount for your next cleaning. You will be more than happy with the outstanding results the cleaner achieves. Good luck with whatever you decide. <bio>Visit http://www.thecarpetcleanerlist.com/cincinnati.htm for information on carpet cleaning. </bio>

Motor trade insurance is a necessity for anyone that makes a living in the motor trade industry. The hardest thing about motor trade insurance is picking a plan that fits your needs and also fits your budget. If the motor trade insurance is not a good fit for your business and you do not find the best price possible, this insurance could actually be a cancer on your business instead of a cure. Many different companies offer many different plans with a wide range of monthly premiums. I think that the best way to find the perfect insurance for your business is to use an insurance brokerage company. An insurance brokerage company can help you tailor a motor trade insurance plan to your needs, get you the best price, and also help you get money when you have to make a claim.

An insurance brokerage company can help to find a plan that fits your business, because they have a bunch of different insurance company contacts that they can tap into to get you what you need. It would take you about two to three times as long to get in contact with the insurance companies that the brokerage company can contact, and sometimes you might not even be able to contact the same companies. Also a brokerage company understands all of the insurance jargon that insurance companies use, so they can move quickly to match your needs to a motor trade insurance plan. Also since the insurance brokerage company has access to so many insurance companies they can put pressure on them to get you the best price possible.

An insurance brokerage company can help you get paid the money you deserve on the claims you file. Many of these companies have their own claims person that works for you to try to get the money you deserve from the insurance company. This is not so easy to do on your own, because once again it is hard to understand all of the terminology used in the insurance business. If you are in the motor trade industry then you need to have motor trade insurance, and your best bet is to use an insurance brokerage company to get exactly what you need. <bio>Learn more about motor trade insurance at http://www.northerncounties.com/motor-trade-insurance.php </bio>

Canadians have a lot of options when it comes to life insurance as there are many canadian life insurance brokers offering free quotes online. Perhaps the single most important decision one will make during the buying process is finding a life insurance broker to trust.

How Do You Start Shopping For Life Insurance?

The first thing to remember is that an insurance broker works for you and should meet every expectation as anyone you employ. When it comes to insurance, each person has different needs based on time of life, lifestyle, and the value they place on their security. Any canadian life insurance broker is a professional who represents you in an insurance purchase. In Canada a large number of all insurance purchases are done through a broker, whether it be a simple automobile insurance policy, or a sophisticated life policy. The role of the insurance broker is to be your guide to the various life insurance options available. Then, after consultation with you, he will shop for the life insurance coverage that best suits your needs.

Who Do I Contact For My Life Insurance Needs?

Technically there is no difference between an insurance broker and an insurance agent. An insurance agent is the representative that you would meet with to make a purchase with a particular company. A broker on the other hand is independent of an insurance company, and analyzes the policies of many companies for you. Simply, a broker will help you determine your insurance needs, and then suggest the best policy and life insurance company to meet them.

Not being a captive agent, they are able to get quotes from many companies to find the best fit.

As always, the best way to choose an insurance broker is by interviewing several and picking one you feel comfortable working with in order to get the best deal on your life insurance. <bio>Ivon T.
