Everyone has experienced at some time or another difficulty in falling asleep. Sometimes it is for one night or can be an ongoing problem. Tossing and turning all night isn't anything new to most people occasionally but none the less it is a terrible feeling when you just start to fall asleep and it's time to wake up. It can seem like a very long day with no rest behind you. Good sleep habits are known to be healthy for you in the long run.

Insomnia has varied causes and one of them can be your eating habits. The food you eat does play a part in how your body prepares itself to sleep. Different foods will cause different reactions in your body.

A good way to help you understand how foods play a part in insomnia is to write a journal. All you need to do is write down everything that you eat during your day and the times that you are eating it. Also write down how you slept, was it a sound, peaceful sleep? Was it a restless night? Include the length of time you slept also and then you will see a pattern forming from your daily intake of food and the quality and amount of the sleep that you had. This will guide you into being able to avoid certain foods that don't agree with your sleep pattern and include more of the foods that seem to produce better results for you.

Everyone is different but there does seem to be some foods that are universally known to help induce and promote good sleep quality. This list can help you identify some of these but keep in mind that your body chemistry is unique, only research will help you find the best diet for you.

Milk really does help you sleep. So that old saying about a glass of warm milk before bed is definitely true, milk does have a chemical in it that helps you sleep.

Fruits seem to have a way to help promote a sound sleep. Lemons seem to be the most effective fruit.

Breads, preferably whole grain breads seem to have the most positive effect. But all bread products including, bagels and muffins are included.

As stated before every individual has a different body chemistry and finding what works for you may take some trial and error. Sometimes the natural sugar in foods will cause some people to toss and turn but in others it may not have that same effect. Of course we all know that consuming caffeine or processed sugars late in the day are not very good choices for promoting a good night sleep. Keeping a journal will help you identify what works for your body chemistry, what may help you get a good restful sleep and what to avoid.

Controlling your insomnia with a good diet is the healthiest and most natural way to a better nights sleep. <bio>Abby Johnson is a staff writer at http://www.retirementplanningdigest.com and is an occasional contributor to several other websites, including http://www.lifestylegazette.com. </bio>

In order to have sexual chemistry with a man, you have got to create it by getting and keeping his attention, proving to him that you are not like the rest of the women he has met and create a challenge for him that he cannot help but take up. In other words, you need to flirt with him!

For some people, the art of flirting well is just natural. To others, it is an ancient language that cannot be deciphered not matter how hard you try. So let's de-code good flirting here for those of us who are a little mystified about exactly what to do in order to peak a man's interest.

Chemistry or attraction MUST be SPARKED right at the beginning, and it must be sparked by YOU. How do you do that? In order to fan the flame of attraction, you have go tot show the man that you are unusual woman - and not by pretending to speak in tongues or be weird in a Lemony Snicket kind of way. You have to show him that you are fun, unpredictable, intelligent and witty as well as beautiful and attractive.

This, my friends, is flirting at its finest. Flirtation is NOT just about batting your eyelashes at a man and making him want you physically. Men do that all by themselves without a whole lot of help from women. Flirtation is about promoting and MAINTAINING attraction with a man. Good flirtation consists of mockery, sarcasm, being a little too grave for the situation, but joking underneath, breaking the "socially-acceptable" limits on physical space, like reaching out and touching a hand or a shoulder gently or interpreting communication through a sexual subtext or making sexual/sensual innuendo - to name a few.

Busting on him, being slightly too intense towards him, etc., all not only generate attention because they're surprising, but focus that attention specifically on the chemistry between the two of you. Being spontaneous leads to an atmosphere where both people are impatient to know what's coming next, he may laugh at you, he may not know how to respond, and he may even get a little rattled, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. These are all good things that work in your favor, because they all share one common positive aspect -- his emotions and attention are focused on YOU!

What all these things have in common is that they are unpredictable to a man, and that really dials up attraction for him. This gets his attention, and more importantly - KEEPS it because he does not know what is going to happen next. This, in turn, leads to that beautiful thing called sexual chemistry - which is two people involved and flirting, attention focused on one another, eager and open body language and having solid eye contact. Its not about getting him to look at you - its about getting him to SEE you. <bio>http://www.youcangettheguy.com </bio>

After thirty years on this planet, I have only just learned of the diveristy of allergic reactions, and only just begun to experience their harsh reality. My learning curver started during my teaching my second semester of high school Math. Until that day, it had been unheard of for me to miss a day, so it's understandable that I was shocked to wake up one morning with an itchy swollen face. As if the overall redness wasn't torture enough, my face was unbearable itchy.

I opted to go to the clinic, where I did not find the sympathy I thought I deserved. When I arrived (minus any form of medical coverage) the clinician seemed uninteresed. The only thing to do, she said, was to try and isolate foods from my diet to find the source of the problem. She informed me o suggest I would be likely to realise these symptoms. She stated that as we get that bit older, we can end up with allergic reactions to foods we've enjoyed all our lives.

The allergic reactions I suffered are really not that severe. All that was needed was a tube of Benadryl cream and a Benadryl capsule (which really tires you, trust me!). However, some allergic reactions can be much more severe, and many will need urgent medical treatment. Some allergic reactions are even deadly, so I'm lucky mine was so mild.

When I was younger I used to wait tables in a fancy restaurant. One of the customers, a friend of one of our more regular diners (a particularly important customer!) asked if there were any seafood used in our cooking process. As it turned out, the stuffing in the meat contained shredded crab, which caused one of the most serious allergic reactions I have ever seen. The man turned purple, and had to be rushed to hospital immediately. The fact that such allergic reactions can alo include the swelling of the tongue is the part that scares me. Imagine that. Your tongue swelling, possibly to the point where your airways are blocked - it could kill you!

My allergy as it turns out was mild allergic reactions to soy milk and soy products in general. I didn't care about what I ate, or how cooked it was - and to think, all because of a little soy bean! Oh, and by the way, the customer turned up the next day completely unharmed after what must have been a horrible experience.

One thing's for sure, alergic reactions are bad news. Whether it's seafood or soy milk, or whether its something completely unrelated, you could find yourself in a tricky position - even if you've had no previous history! But hey, there's nothing you can do about it, apart from seek medical attention if you end up with any unusual ailments. <bio>For more allergy information take the time to visit our website at http://allergiesoverview.com </bio>

One of the best reasons to use perfume samples is to find out if you like the scent of the perfume and if you can wear it, before you actually buy it. Perfume does not always smell good on just anyone; each individual has many different and natural body chemistry reactions to the effects of perfume.

Although, some people cannot tolerate wearing or being around perfume, there are even more who do enjoy wearing and smelling perfumes, whether they buy from a high-end store or purchased online at a discount or wholesale perfume business.

Although, perfumes may smell nice by sniffing the perfume bottle, you cannot really tell how a perfume will react to the body chemistry of anyone. Once you apply a perfume sample to your skin you should wait about 10 to 15 minutes for the scent to develop and adapt to the features of your skin.

It is best when sampling perfumes to use no more than three or four different types at one time. Doing so will help you to avoid devastating your sense of smell, since your nose can only take so much and after awhile many different perfumes seem to fuse together on a single body and produce unusual smells.

Perfume samples come in a wide variety of types from many different brand name manufacturers. You can try out all the latest designer and signature perfumes you like by using perfume samples and then you can save money by buy your favorite perfumes at wholesale or discount prices.

Using perfume samples also help you find the right scent to wear for any occasion or time of day as well as even finding affordable gift ideas when you share your perfume samples with others. When you use perfume samples you can save money while ensuring that the next bottle of men, womens or kids perfume is not going to be a bottle that just sits on a shelf collecting dust.

Another great feature of using perfume samples is that you can try them all if you like to find just the right scent to match your sense of taste and lifestyle, just not all of them at the same time. You should be able to find perfume samples in many local stores that sell perfume as well as from some online discount perfume stores. Some popular magazines also provide you with small perfume samples.

When using perfume samples you may want to wait about an hour or so to find out how the true scent of the perfume may smell on you. However, you should always trust your instinct when it comes to choosing the best perfume to wear. Perfume samples also make wonderful drawer and closet sachets when you are in the mood for scenting your other items of attire.

One last thing to add that many people have done throughout the years, including myself, is to give perfume samples as a stocking stuffer during this Christmas season. This way they can choose which perfume they like and a gift certificate to accomany the sample would be nice. <bio>Article written by Jessica Bradbury, you can learn more about designer perfumes from her website at http://www.perfumeinfo.net </bio>

Just like a hero and a heroine on the movies who sizzle with passion on the big screen, you and your date should have some chemistry on your big night out.

Once you have gotten over the preliminaries of asking for your date's number and setting up a date, the next problem is what to do when you are already sitting opposite each other on the dinner table.

Men and women alike would like to experience being swept off their feet and feel the natural high of being in love.

However, if your date turns out to be a disaster because you failed to build the chemistry during your date, then you cannot to move on to better things that might have developed between the two of you.

Remember that the first date decides whether you will be given a second chance to get to know more about the person who you are 'chasing'.

In order to understand how to build chemistry between you and your date, first, you need to somehow understand what goes on behind the giddiness that you feel when finding a new love:

Love makes people do crazy things and act in a certain, love-sick way.

You have all experienced the can't eat, can't sleep, I'm obsessed routine when falling in love or finding a new love.

What really goes behind this emotion is too complicated to explain but here is a compromise: a lot of these feelings have to do with our physical make-up and body chemistry.

Scientists believe that all of the emotions associated with finding a new love is further enhanced by natural brain stimulants.

If a person thinks of his or her loved one for a certain period of time, then there will be a higher level of these brain stimulants that would trigger an emotional or physical effect.

This could be lack of sleep or appetite. These effects are associated with the natural stimulants located in the brain.

There is a natural resulting feeling once you see your object of infatuation, and this is the one that can be compared to the high that a person experiences when under the influence of drugs.

On the other hand, it can give you a distressing feeling if you are away from your loved one or if you do not see that person for a certain amount of time.

Understanding where these feelings are coming from can give you a better understanding of the things that you unexpectedly do and experience, once you find a new love.

Passion, Romance and Attachment

It is also believed that there are three stages of a person in love: infatuation or passion, romance and attachment.

Infatuation or passion is that instant lust that zings in your stomach once you see your object of affection. This can also be associated with lust, or instantaneous attraction. This is the most shallow stage because there is no chance of it developing into something deeper yet.

The second stage is romance. Romance is that need to woo the one that you love.

At this stage, you can say that this is more than just a passing fancy because you are making additional efforts to get to know the one that you love.

Also, at this stage you are giving something of yourself to the other person by showing them ways that you care.

The third and final stage is the attachment stage. This is when you are already an established couple and you feel the need to spend the rest of your life together.

Here, the less passionate stage of your courtship is over and the respect and love that you have for each other will lead you to have a more permanent status as a couple.

This is also when couples would have produced children in the course of their being together. It is said that even this third stage of love is triggered by a natural chemical called oxytocin.

'Building Chemistry'

It is very important to build chemistry once you are on a date.

Make sure that you keep the conversation light, interesting and flowing. The third one is the most important because having an awkward silence at any point of your date is a no-no. Any conversation is better than no conversation at all. Also, make sure that you start in an honest note by being yourself during your night out together.

It would never hurt to get yourself out there and risk getting hurt, than saving yourself from pain but living to regret your decision of not being with the one that you love for the rest of your life.

Learn how to build chemistry between you and yoru date and you will surely have something great to look forward to: a relationship that you can nurture and build with the one you love. <bio>My Relationship Tips (http://www.datingsupportcenter.com) has hundreds of dating and relationship tips for men and women. </bio>

Many people have found aromatherapy very helpful in terms of their general feelings of psychological and physical wellness. Aromatherapy uses volatile plant oils in a natural form in massage, candles and other delivery methods.

Aromatherapy uses "Essential Oils". The vapors from these oils benefit many people when they are absorbed through the lungs into the bloodstream, giving physical benefit. The aroma of the inhaled oils stimulates certain receptors in the brain, giving psychological benefits.

The benefits of alternative therapies like aromatherapy are difficult to prove or disprove, but millions of people spend millions of dollars on these products and do so again and again, so they must be feeling better.

Essential oils are different from perfumes and commercial fragrances in that essential oils are 100% natural and contain no man-made chemicals, as so many perfumes do. Many people use a special burner to heat their oils to vaporize them using a tea-light candle underneath.

It is important to take advice only from an experienced and qualified aromatherapist because too high a concentration of some oils can be harmful, especially if applied to the skin. Be sure to get expert advice because some essential oils can cause sensitization or allergic reactions. Sensitization means that you will have little reaction on the first exposure, but subsequent use will cause a massive adverse reaction. Penicillin has this sensitisation effect on some people, a mild reaction the first time, but a second dose can be fatal if you are allergic to the antibiotic.

In aromatherapy massage essential oils, well diluted with "carrier oils" are rubbed into the skin. The diluted essential oils are absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream. Use of "Carrier Oils" is essential for safe application of "Essential oils" to the skin without very serious adverse reactions.

"Essential Oils" are often blended to give a greater effect than one could expect from the amounts of the separate oils. <bio>ara McGrath taught chemistry for 28 years.
An antioxidant is a chemical that reduces the rate of particular oxidation reactions in a specific context, where oxidation reactions are chemical reactions that involve the transfer of electrons from a substance to an oxidising agent.

Antioxidants are particularly important in the context of organic chemistry and biology: all living cells contain complex systems of antioxidant chemicals and/or enzymes to prevent chemical damage to the cells' components by oxidation. The importance and complexity of antioxidants in biology is reflected in a medical literature of more than 142,000 scholarly articles.

A diet containing antioxidants from plants are required for good health since plants are an important source of organic antioxidant chemicals. Antioxidants are widely used as ingredients in dietary supplements that are used for health purposes such as preventing cancer and heart disease. However, while many studies have suggested benefits for antioxidant supplements, several large clinical trials have failed to clearly demonstrate a benefit for the formulations tested, and excess supplementation may be harmful.

Antioxidants are chemicals that reduce oxidative damage to cells and biochemicals. Researchers have found high correlation between oxidative damage and the occurrence of disease. For example, LDL oxidation is associated with cardiovascular disease. The process leading to atherogenesis, artherosclerosis, and cardiovascular disease is complex, involving multiple chemical pathways and networks, but the precursor is LDL oxidation by free radicals, resulting in inflammation and formation of plaques.

Research suggests that consumption of antioxidant-rich foods reduces damage to cells and biochemicals from free radicals. This may slow down, prevent, or even reverse certain diseases that result from cellular damage, and perhaps even slow down the natural aging process.

Since the discovery of vitamins, it has been recognized that antioxidants in the diet are essential for healthful lives. More recently, a large body of evidence has accumulated that suggests supplementation of the diet with various kinds of antioxidants can improve health and extend life.

Many nutraceutical and health food companies now sell forms of antioxidants as dietary supplement. These supplements may include specific antioxidant chemicals, like resveratrol (from grape seeds), combinations of antioxidants, like the "ACES" products that contain beta carotene (provitamin A), vitamin C, vitamin E and Selenium, or specialty herbs that are known to contain antioxidants such as green tea and jiaogulan.

Disclaimer The information presented here should not be interpreted as medical advice.
You've got a website and it's selling some copies of your product. You want to sell more, but how do you properly test the changes you make in order for you to know how you are improving your sales?

Internet Marketers talk a lot about testing your sales copy and your website, but very few talk in detail about the methodology of this testing. It is very easy to get confused and undo the changes that were increasing sales!

I remember when I was at school in my chemistry class performing experiments to blow things up, make acids to eat through the table and stain my lab coat and being taught how to properly test an experiment. What is interesting, is this is probably the most valuable lesson I got from the chemistry class (apart from the effect certain metals have when exposed to water). It is certainly the lesson that applies the most to my life now.

My chemistry teacher was an interesting man, he didn't tolerate people who didn't listen or didn't want to learn but he was a passionate man when it came to chemistry. His fingers were stained from handling chemicals and he took an almost perverse pleasure in gassing the class or waking them up with a sudden explosion.

Then one day when he had given us a series of experiments to perform, he taught us about testing. When performing an experiment there are often many things you want to change in order to perform the experiment properly. The trouble is, as an impatient teenager waiting for lunchtime you are tempted to make all the changes at once.

"No lad," the teacher told us, "You can't make all the changes at once. If you do that, how are you going to know which change to the experiment caused it to work?"

Of course, this concept hadn't occurred to any of us, we were all just interested in lunch.

He leaned back in his chair into his reminiscent pose, "In order to properly perform this experiment you need to make a single change at a time and then measure the results. Then, and only then, will you know which change performs the best and gives you the desired results. Sure you can make all the changes all at once, but what if you undo the change that works?"

These very words came back to me when I started my Internet Marketing career some years ago. If I am making changes to my websites or sales copy to monitor the conversion rate then I need to make a single change at a time, drive a sufficient amount of traffic to it, and then analyse the results.

If the conversion rate has increased, then I keep the change. If it has decreased, then I discard the change.

By performing my website testing this way you will know exactly which changes best affect your conversion rates (and profits) and be able to stack them on top of each other to gain the highest possible conversion rate for your site. <bio>Vincent Murphy can help you to find the best home based business ideas and money making opportunities so you can work at home/How To Test Your Sales Copy : visit: http://www.HomeGrail.com </bio>

Allergic reactions can manifest themselves in many different physical ways, most of them extremely unpleasant. In the case of environmental allergens such as hay fever or pet dander, it is possible to limit allergic reaction severity by focusing on a diet that boosts the body's ability to fight off reaction effects. Many of the materials that are found in medicinal allergy relief are extracted from naturally occurring ingredients in certain foods and drinks, and including these in your diet will help to alleviate your allergic symptoms. It is important to remember that these foods are for fighting environmentally triggered allergies only, and the only way to avoid food allergy symptoms is to avoid the food that cause it.

Green tea is quickly making a name for itself as a general purpose, natural cure-all. Recent studies have shown that green tea may help to combat environmental allergies as one of its many treatment applications. In an article published in The Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, Japanese scientists claim to have isolated a compound found in green tea that blocks one of the cell receptors that is key in triggering the allergic response. Because green tea is less processed than any other kind of tea, its natural composition remains unaltered and thus the compounds within it are more concentrated and better able to produce results than those found in different varieties of tea.

The acids found in Omega-3 fatty acids also are beneficial in fighting allergies, as the acid acts as a natural anti-inflammatory by countering the formation of inflammatory chemicals. There are several foods which are very high in Omega-3 fatty acids, including several kinds of seafood and fish; salmon, haddock, herring, trout, mackerel, and sardines are all full of these acids. Other sources of Omega-3 fatty acids are soybeans, flaxseed, walnuts, and canola, and the fatty acids are also available in a more concentrated version through the oils derived from these foods. These oils can easily be included in your daily meals by adding them to the ingredients for your cooking.

Foods that have a high level of Vitamin E are also excellent in combating allergic reactions. Some of these foods include greens, which are also very strong-tasting. Spinach greens, mustard greens, chard and mustard greens are all very high in Vitamin E. The highest Vitamin E food is far and away dried sunflower seeds, which contain almost 91% of the recommended daily intake of the vitamin. Almonds are also high in Vitamin E, as are olives, papaya, and fresh blueberries. Any of these foods are an easy addition to a regular diet.

One last food to consider when thinking about intakes that will limit your allergic reactions are juices. Natural fruit juices are high in antioxidants, which help to fight the inflammatory effects that allergies produce. Make sure when you buy juice, though, that it is indeed natural. Many juices on the market do not contain a lot of natural juice, and it is the natural juice that is essential when it comes to containing antioxidants. <bio>Marcia Cox mainatins a free website offering advice and tips on living healthier naturally.
It is spring time, which is good news to many, but not to all. Yes, the sun is out, it is warming up, and the birds are all around us, singing happily to pass the day away, but all is not well for those who suffer from allergic reactions.

If you are an allergy sufferer, spring can be a miserable time of wheezing, sneezing, coughing, and constant discomfort, unless you have the proper allergy treatment. The type of allergy treatment that is right for you depends on a number of factors that your doctor should discuss with you, but many of them take several weeks, to months to work, so you shouldn't delay. You've got to start treating your allergic reactions today.

The most common allergy treatment is the antihistamine. Recently, claritin which is one of the most common antihistamines and used to be available only by prescription, has become available over the counter to treat allergies.

For many people, this proves to be such an effective allergy treatment that it proves to be all that they need to treat their conditions, but for many more, this is not the case. There are a variety of nasal allergy treatments which can relieve swelling and discomfort in the nose and sinuses, but many of these have side effects. If you suffer from bad allergic reactions, you should consider a more complete allergy treatment.

What I recommend is to take several steps, instead of looking for the cure-all allergy treatment. The first thing to do is to make sure that your house is clean. Clean out the refrigerator and check it for mold. Same goes for the bathroom, and any other room which may harbor dirt, dust, or fungus. Remember that the most effective allergy treatment is to prevent the inhalation of allergens in the first place, and that means dusting, washing, vacuuming and sweeping every single day of the week.

Of course, this isn't the whole allergy treatment. In addition to cleaning up, you should get a nice HEPA air filter to clean up the air in your rooms, particularly the one you sleep in. This will remove all of the dirt and allergens from the air. Your allergy treatment will probably also include the use of an antihistamine, as well as a decongestant. Finally, you might have to get more severe medication as an allergy treatment. Shots can do wonders to minimize allergic reactions. <bio>John Wellington provides readers with up-to-date commentaries, articles, and reviews for http://www.allhealthcarearticles.com, http://www.yourskincaremagazine.com as well as other related information. </bio>

If you're like most of us, you've been on many job interviews in your life and haven't been offered a job after each one. You might have thought you did really well during the interview and that the person you spoke with really liked you. A few weeks later you get a standardized "Dear John" letter in the mail, or perhaps you never hear from the company again. You might be a bit confused as to why you didn't get the job. If you have the nerve, you might contact the interviewer and ask him/her why you weren't hired, but chances are good you wouldn't get the real reason why you weren't offered the job.

So what are some of the reasons why you might not get a job? The first reason (and probably the biggest reason why someone doesn't get a job) is the chemistry between you and the interviewer. Your resume is just a piece of paper, a tool to get you in the door to the interview. A person won't get a good or bad feeling about you personally from the resume. It's once you meet in person that the chemistry factor starts to kick in.

What do I mean when I say chemistry? It's that feeling a person gets about another person, whether good or bad. Sometimes a person will have a strong first impression about someone without taking the time to get to know them. This has probably happened to you. You meet someone and there's just something about them that you didn't like. You can't put your finger on it, but you know that you don't want to associate with this person. It has nothing to do with their background, job, skills or even themselves. You just get a bad feeling. Chemistry isn't just the initial impression. Maybe after talking with you the interviewer determines you aren't a good fit for the company or the department. For example, you might come across as shy in the interview but the person who does this job needs to be outgoing.

A bad attitude can also be a reason for rejection. Someone who is cocky or arrogant in an interview can make a poor impression with an interviewer. Confidence in your skills and abilities is good in an interview -- just don't go overboard. A bad attitude about former employers or co-workers can also be a reason you are rejected. If you're bad mouthing your current employer there's nothing to stop you from bad mouthing this company if you get the job.

Your salary can also be a reason for rejection. Chances are good that you'll be asked what salary you want to make. If you throw out a number you can price yourself out of the job. Many companies have established salary ranges that can't be adjusted no matter the person or position. You might say a number that is only a few hundred dollars over the salary range but makes you ineligible for consideration. It's safer to state what your current salary is and that you would need to consider the costs of benefits before you could give your required salary. Would you want to miss out on the career opportunity of a lifetime for $250?

Making a poor personal appearance is also a reason a candidate is rejected for a job. Take the time and get a nice outfit ready for the interview. You don't need to go out and buy a new outfit. Make sure the clothes you wear are clean, neat and appropriate for an interview. Whether you like it or not, a professional appearance goes a long way to making a positive impression on an interviewer. Don't let your appearance be the reason you hear "no" after an interview.

Not being prepared for the interview is also a mistake. Make the effort to learn about the company and develop a few questions to ask the interviewer. There are some standard interview questions that you're bound to be asked like "Tell me about yourself" or "What are your greatest accomplishments". Get some answers prepared to let the interviewer know you cared enough about this opportunity to prepare for the interview.

Finally, lying on an application or your resume is also a reason for rejection. Don't lie about your skills or previous employers. These type of things are easy enough to verify. Be truthful on the application and on your resume.

There are some steps you can take that will prevent you from being rejected from a job, while some times the reason you don't get a job has nothing to do with you. There's nothing you can do if a company hires a candidate that is more qualified or that has a cheaper salary requirement. Do what you can to prepare for each and every interview and you will have a better chance of success in your next job interview. <bio>Katie is the owner of http://www.onlinecareerinfo.com where you can learn more about http://www.onlinecareerinfo.com and http://www.onlinecareerinfo.com/category/interview/. </bio>

Getting into a new community might cause you a difficulty in finding new friends. You barely know anyone. You feel lonely.

Should you just sit down and hope that someone to come to you, take your hand, ask you to be his/her friend?

I donand#8217;t think so. Youand#8217;ve got to make the move.

How to?

1.Look into Yourself

Decide first what kind of persons youand#8217;d prefer to be your friends. Do you want to make friends with those who have the same hobbies and interests with you, or the same gender, or the same age? Or, do you wish to be friends with those who have totally different passions so you can find something else more interesting in life.

2.Donand#8217;t be shy!

It might not be easy for some people, I know. But, if you keep being a shy person, you wouldnand#8217;t make friend easily. As I said earlier, make the move. Strengthen yourself, get rid of any timidity from your heart and approach someone whom you think you have a certain compatibility with.

3.Put that smile on your face

Not a smirk but a sincere and nice smile. People would like those who smile a lot more than whose face is lifeless.

4.Be yourself

Donand#8217;t fake anything. If you do, you wonand#8217;t find it interesting to continue the relationship for you must feel tired of being someone else, not the real you.

5.Donand#8217;t be afraid to fail

Donand#8217;t expect to get a very good friend at your first attempt. Be ready to fail. Friendship also needs chemistry. There is always a possibility that you donand#8217;t have any chemistry with the person that you earlier approached. Or, that person doesnand#8217;t have it with you.

Some people are taking friends for granted. But, when they get into a situation when they actually have no friend and have to start one, they realize that friendship is like a flower that needs to be watered and fertilized. <bio>David W Richards has been moving a lot.
Everyone, at some point in their life, has experienced both the perfect date and those clunkers that just didn't work out that well. If you were one of the unlucky ones that had to go through an entire night of attitude and all that nasty "stuff", then this article is definitely for you.

Sometimes the girl you think is the one turns out to be the wicked witch of the west, but that doesn't naturally mean it's your fault. Chemistry is the most important factor when dating, so if things start out well at first and then take a turn for the worst towards the end, someone threw in something they weren't supposed to.

People have different opinions of what they consider to be the perfect date. Perhaps you are one for going to a nice movie, then taking your girlfriend out to dinner, or you like to hang out at home and just "chill". Some people think the perfect date ends with a good night kiss or something a little more intimate. But don't be discouraged when you date doesn't go they way you planned. I have been on dates before that have been so fun that the next time I have taken her out, it flopped big time. There really is nothing you can do about that and I don't expect anyone to get overly upset over it, but as I said before chemistry is the important factor.

People that have been in a relationship for a long time usually have their mate figured out pretty well, but is it that easy finding out what they are really feeling? Do you ever wonder what your girlfriend/boyfriend is thinking about? These are all factors that make for a great date, and sometimes you need to get a little lucky. Reading the situation is always important and bringing up entertaining stories is always a plus.

If you've ever encountered a bad date, which I'm sure most people in this world have, you just have to move on. The thing with coping with a bad date is you need to go out with your friends and just forget about it, because believe me, the other person is doing exactly same thing. As the saying goes, there are plenty of fish in the see, and naturally, there will be someone out there for you. <bio>Ron Zvagelsky has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Nobody would argue that obesity has reached epidemic proportions in the United States--one look around confirms that. Unfortunately, many people try to lose weight--and when it doesn't work, they think they've failed. In addition to the resulting physical and health issues, repeated diet failures take a heavy emotional toll, leaving many feeling weak, guilty, ashamed and humiliated. But it's not their fault!

When diets fail, we usually blame the person for a lack of self-control, but the reality is, their body chemistry has gone awry. Science has proven our brains and body chemistry control our appetite. Certain eating patterns can alter those chemicals and create an unconscious, internal process that may even lead to a hidden addiction to food.

There are several causes of appetite disorder but each relates to an imbalance of the brain chemicals that control eating. One of the most potent causes involves excessive neuropeptide Y (a chain of amino acids), which is triggered by skipping meals. As it builds up, it forces people to binge. Our bodies are remarkable machines. When food isn't coming in regular intervals, your body produces chemicals that make you eat more, so you'll have enough food-=96just in case.

Appetite disorder is also caused by stress and a lack of serotonin. We learn, sometimes very early in life, that eating specific foods in certain quantities brings relief from stress and makes us feel better. No wonder people become addicted!

So how do we go about breaking the cycle? The first step is to diagnose the specific profile. 7 chemical imbalances can cause appetite to be disordered, and unless you know which ones affect you, you could be making the wrong changes.

The 2nd step is never skip a meal-=96 especially breakfast. The goal is to eat regularly throughout the day and reprogram the body to trust we'll feed it. This alone can naturally reduce appetite by a third!

Another way to repair body chemistry involves finding new ways to self-soothe so that we won't turn to food when we feel bad or stressed. Admittedly harder than not skipping meals, this fix takes re-training since food has become a friend to us. It's possible to learn a way to listen to your feelings so that they don't hurt and so that you aren't triggered to eat.

Once an appetite disorder is balanced, almost any diet can work. The key is to choose one that's a good match for your body chemistry and to adapt it to fit your recovery needs. The bottom line is that your ability to stay on a diet depends on staying in recovery from your appetite disorder.

The above information has been abstracted from my book, How to Make Almost Any Diet Work, Repair Your Appetite Disorder and Finally Lose Weight. As a therapist with nearly 40 years experience, I've done extensive research on food addiction and appetite disorder, and now I lead one of the most effective programs available anywhere for the repair of appetite disorder. <bio>Anne Katherine is a respected therapist who specializes in treating appetite disorder, food addiction, and binge eating.
I taught for 28 years in three schools in England and Ire

When you teach chemistry in a high school you get used to strange questions and donations.

Questions like, "How does water divining work?",or "My Dad says he wants you to give me a recipe for gunpowder for him to make his own fireworks."

People in industry used to use schools as dumping grounds for broken down machinery or hazardous chemicals. A knowledgeable chemistry teacher would have turned away these "gifts", but very often they were just left at the school office, in a sealed box.

On one occasion the secretary phoned me and said there were two enormous boxes that had been left by a parent for the Chemistry Department. It turned out to be a spectrophotometer. Now don't get me wrong. A spectrophotometer is an extremely useful piece of equipment, when it works. This one did not work at all.

One of my students came from a very odd scientrific family. I spoke to her father and he said to drop it off to his house and he would have a look at it. When the front door opened the hall was 4 feet high with boxes of all shapes and sizes. Our spectrophotometer is still there fifteen years later.

On another occasion a school laboratory technician was tidying a cupboard under a sink. She brought me a polythene bottle labelled HF. HF is hydrofluoric acid, an extremely nasty acid, that dissolves skin and glass, amongst other things. This bottle had been there for at lesat 25 years, and nobody could remember where it came from. The school would never have bought it because it is totally unsuited for use in a school laboratory.

Looking under a sink in my first teaching job I found 3 enormous sweet jars full of what looked like sticks of rock (candy). There was no label on the jars, so I asked the Head of Chemistry what it was. "Phosphorus", he says. I argued with him that we would never use 100grams, let alone the 10Kg that we had. "It was free, a parent brought it to parents' evening and gave it to the department, so we cannot throw it away." Phosphorus is another very nasty material that is absorbed by the body and incorporated into bones, causing them to lose their rigidity. It is also the prime ingredient of incendiary devices, and we had 10Kg of it stored in an unlocked cupboard!

The same head of department was not knowledgeable about Chemistry, though. On one occasion I heard screams coming from his lab, so I went through the connecting door, to find purple smokew coming from an oven on a side desk. The guy was only drying iodine in an oven. He had gone off for a cigarette, leaving the class in the room. Iodine changes directly from a solid to a gas, and back again when it cools down. It causes respiratory distress and if it crystallises on the cornea of the eye can cause blindness.

In the same school, in 1975, we were using asbestos mats and gauzes, and had asbesstos fire blankets. The Principal refused to give us money to replace this poteaially harmful equipment with safer glass fibre alternatives. The school had enough money to replace 800 bibles and prayer books every year, but would not find the money to replace worn out and unsafe asbestos equipment.

Flammable liquids such as ethanol, hexane and ether should, by law, be stored in ventilated and clearly marked cupboards with trays at the bottom to catch any spilled liquid. In my third school, I found a walk in cupboard with 2 litre bottles of each of these highly flammable liquids stored on an open shelf, directly above oxidising agents that they would react with if spilled. The door to this cupboard was never locked and students were routinelyt left in the room with no teacher. <bio>Ciara McGrath taught Chemistry for 28 years and has set up three labs herself.
The word enzyme comes from the Greek 'ensymo'. Here 'en' means 'at' or 'in' and 'simo' means 'leaven' or 'yeast'. The enzymes are biological catalysts. These are by and large proteins. There are also some RNAs that have catalytic activity. These are referred to as RNA enzymes or ribozymes. The enzymes bind temporarily to one or more of the reactants in a reaction and lower the amount of activation energy needed. In this way they speed up the reaction. The enzymes may speed up reactions by a factor of many millions.

If it were not for the enzymes then most of the chemical reactions in biological cells would occur too slowly. The products obtained from such reaction would also have been different. In this respect the enzymes are essential for sustenance of life. Again, a malfunctioning of a single enzyme can lead to a severe disease. Such malfunctioning may stem from mutation, overproduction, underproduction or deletion of the enzyme.

Changes in pH and temperature affect the activity of enzymes to a large extent. Every enzyme works at its optimum level at a certain temperature and pH. At temperature and pH levels above and below that point the activity of the enzyme decreases.

Other molecules can affect the activity of enzymes. There are certain naturally occurring or synthetically prepared molecules that decrease or even completely abolishing enzyme activity. These are called inhibitors. There are also activators, which increase activities of enzymes.

Apart from the use of enzymes for their biological role they are also commercially used for other purposes. There are many cleaners used in the household, which use enzymes to speed up chemical reactions. Breakings down of proteins or removing starch stains in clothes are facilitated by the use of enzymes. There are more than 5,000 known enzymes. The names of the enzymes characteristically include the suffix 'ase' added to the name of the substrate.

The enzymes are found in all tissues and fluids of the body. The intracellular enzymes catalyze the reactions of metabolic pathways, the plasma membrane enzymes regulates catalysis within cells in response to extra cellular signals while the enzymes of the circulatory system regulate the clotting of blood. <bio>Barney Garcia writes about many different topics.
Most every gardener strives to grow the best, most stunning flowers around, but that goal is hard to get hold of. Whether you want to raise prize-winning blooms or just have a home garden filled with of beautiful flowers, there are some things you can do in order to ensure your garden is in the best shape possible.

Soil chemistry counts The chemical make-up of the soil is one of the biggest factors that contribute to the success or failure of your garden. If the soil in your planting beds is poor in nutrients, it is unlikely that your plants will thrive or produce those beautiful flowers that you want until you enrich the soil with the nutrition the plants need.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that the soil chemistry is the same all over your yard. It is important to test the soil in each area of your property that you plan to plants, especially if the areas are away from each other. This can be important if part of your property is on a slope, or if it has been used for other things in the past.

The slope of the land and the soil type in your area are important considerations to make. A complete analysis of the soil in your yard will give you a good place to starts and a help you to monitor the quality of the soil as your garden matures.

Know what your plants will need to thrive You probably already have an idea about what you want to plant in your garden, so it is important that you understand what those plants will require in order to grow and flourish. Although many types of annuals, perennials, and bulbs can grow and thrive in a broad range of soil and weather conditions, others can have special requirements for food, water, and soil conditions.

For example, if you are interested I n cultivating roses in your garden, you will need to know the pH level of your soil, and adjust it if you need to. Roses are commonly acid loving plants, and therefore they will not thrive in soil with a higher alkaline level. Getting some humus and tilling it into the soil can amend alkaline soil. If the humus does not do the job, adding sulfur to the soil can raise the acidity level.

Keeping an eye on nutrition The nutrients in the soil will dictate the health and vitality of your plants and flowers. If the phosphorus and nitrogen levels, as well as the presence of other types of organic matter are not sufficient, your plants may be malnourished, and not thrive at all. Nutrients can be added to poor soil by suing humus or any number of good-quality fertilizers.

Now you understand why the chemistry of your garden soil is so important in growing your ideal garden. Having the best flowers around is a big task to fulfill. Make sure that your garden soil is ready for the duty. <bio>To learn more about flower gardening and receive a free flower gardening report visit http://www.discover-flower-gardening.info </bio>

The laws of initial attraction are universal. They ignore the restraints of culture, gender, and language. For most people, being attracted to another person is based upon how that other person looks. We are, by nature, drawn toward those who are physically attractive to us. When we gather the courage to act on that attraction, it can spark the beginning of a romantic relationship.

Occasionally, you may hear people claim that looks are not important to them. While that may suit their ideal about themselves, it ignores our basic human instinct. In truth, all of us are initially attracted to other people for the same reason: because they look good to us. Below, we'll explore what happens during the first glance that sparks our interest in others. We'll also take a closer look at the role that physical chemistry and sexuality play in attraction.

First Glance

Each of us has experienced the sensation that goes through our mind and body when someone catches our eye. It begins with a fleeting glance. Often, our eyes casually drift across another person while scanning a room or watching others. In that moment, attraction is instantly triggered. No matter where we look afterwards, something about that other person draws our attention. The initial attraction tantalizes our curiosity. At the same time, we become acutely aware of our own appearance to others. We struggle to keep calm even as we become increasingly self-conscious. Soon, the first glance gives way to a second and third.

Chemistry And Sexuality

Physical chemistry and our sexual urges are the foundation of initial attraction. When we see someone who is physically appealing to us, our instinctive sexuality takes a more prominent role. We may not even realize that it is happening. Without having even met the person to whom we feel attracted, our mind and body immediately begin sizing them up physically. Our brain reviews whether we would be sexually compatible with them while our body starts going through subtle (or, perhaps not so subtle) physiological changes.

Physical Attraction Reciprocated

While the attraction we feel toward another person can be powerful, it is heightened further when it is reciprocated. When our glance is returned with a friendly smile, it often signals mutual interest. When our gaze holds the other person's attention, an unspoken rapport develops, if even briefly. At this point, the two people who are attracted toward one another may begin using body language to further signal their interest. A flirtatious smile, a playful wink, or a quick glance at the other person's body is part of the silent courtship. Ultimately, it can set the stage for one person to approach the other.

Taking The Next Step

The initial attraction that we feel toward another person can be potent. When it is reciprocated, that attraction may be enough to motivate us to get up and approach the other person. Social scientists have long known that people who are unacquainted with each other go through a series of steps in resolving their attraction to one another. Once our attention is drawn, we seek reciprocation. Then, we approach the other person to interact with them. Eventually, the physical chemistry and sexual arousal that prompted the interaction either goes away or grows.

It all begins with one fleeting glance. While tradition, heritage, ethnicity, and a host of other influences may suppress our instinctive urges, the manner in which we are attracted to others never changes.<bio>Danforth Diamond is one of the leading names providing affordable engagement rings and other diamond jewelry.
There are three main kinds of allergy: allergy to food, inhalant allergy, and contact allergy.

Allergies to pollens and seasonal grasses fall into the inhalant allergy category, because breathing them triggers allergic reactions. Some people have exercise-induced allergies, especially when exercising outdoors, because breathing increases and thus exposure to allergens is enhanced. But you can also inhale allergens indoors. Many people have indoor allergies, the most common ones being to pet dander, mold, and dust mites. Inhalant allergies usually exhibit themselves in breathing difficulties, congestion, watery eyes, sneezing, and other respiratory symptoms.

Contact dermatitis is the official name for allergic reactions to things that come in contact with the skin. Many people don't realize that poison ivy is an allergen. Poison ivy is probably the best known example of contact dermatitis. Poison ivy isn't poisonous; it triggers an allergic reaction in most people. Rashes and skin irritation are the body's way of trying to repel an andquot;enemyandquot; in the form of an allergen. Some people have contact dermatitis reactions due to an allergy to rubber, wool, dyes or cosmetics. Nickel is the most common metal to trigger contact allergies; people with a nickel allergy need to be careful that they don't wear jewelry that contains nickel, in bracelets, necklaces, or in body piercings. Certain cosmetics ingredients trigger allergies, including some ingredients in hair dyes. Fragrance is the most common cause of allergies to cosmetics; if you experience allergies, try unscented products. Contact allergies typically are manifested in itching, rashes and hives.

Not all contact dermatitis is due to allergy. In fact, 80 percent of skin reactions are to actual irritants such as chemicals, acids, and some soaps.

Food allergies typically manifest themselves with itching, rashes and hives, but they can also affect the respiratory system. In severe cases, a food allergy can trigger anaphylactic shock that causes the throat to close and breathing passages to swell. Food allergies usually become obvious within two hours of consuming the food allergen. <bio>http://www.whatcauseallergy.com </bio>

A date will never happen without making the first contact. You can glance and gaze at another person across a crowded room all night; if neither person approaches the other, the attraction will never lead anywhere. Often, fear and anxiety hold people back and prevent them from interacting with each other. It's understandable. Nobody enjoys the prospect of being rejected by someone they have never met. It is much easier - and safer - to stay planted in our seats. Unfortunately, if you want to meet the person to whom you feel attracted, you will need to get up, walk over, and introduce yourself. In this article, we'll describe how to make the first contact on the road to starting a romantic relationship.

Getting Over The Fear

Most of us fear the unknown. The tendency is based upon our survival instinct. The things we are unfamiliar about carry an inherent possibility of danger. So, we naturally avoid them, unless properly motivated to do otherwise. But, this fear can actually paralyze us and prevent us from meeting new people. This is the reason why millions of people resist the urge to introduce themselves to strangers.

If you see someone that you are attracted to, yet hesitate to make contact, you need to examine your fears. Are your fears valid? Most of the time, we simply fear being rejected. If we accept rejection as an ever-present possibility, the idea of approaching someone to whom we're attracted becomes easy.

Learning To Talk

Some people break out into a cold sweat when they're forced to talk with a stranger. Others begin to stutter. It can be painful to observe. But, these reactions are usually due to lack of practice. These same reactions happen when people are forced to speak publicly for the first time. The only difference between the neophyte public speaker and the professional speaker is experience. The same is true when talking to a potential dating partner for the first time. The more experience you have, the better you will become.

Have a few openers ready when you approach the other person. You don't need to be a comedian. Be yourself. You may be surprised by how effective simply saying, "Hi" and introducing yourself can be.

Have You Overstayed Your Welcome?

When you approach someone for the first time and begin talking with them, take care not to overstay your welcome. Don't dominate their time, even if the conversation seems to be flowing well. If chemistry exists between you both, there will be plenty of time to explore a dating relationship in the future. Getting up, walking over, and making the initial contact is merely one step in a process.

Remember The Goal

The goal of meeting someone in whom you are attracted is three-fold. First, you want to sate the curiosity that springs from the attraction. Second, you need to discover whether there is more than mere physical attraction between the two of you. Third, assuming you still find the other person appealing after speaking with them, you want to get a date.
