"Progress is a nice word. But change is its motivator. And change has its enemies." - Robert Kennedy

Change does have enemies and Robert Kennedy knew that truth and paid for it with his blood. Change can be dangerous. That is why our natural instinct is to stay the course; stay put; avoid trying something new; leaving well enough alone; being safe; and I could mention another twenty or so excuses. If you are the type that wants to stay in your comfort zone, you will never experience the immense joy that comes from living. In order to succeed we must take risks and that means we have to change. Robert Kennedy said this in the context of politics. He referred to making progress as a nation. The only way to make progress as a nation is to change our point of view, to change the way we govern ourselves, to change certain laws that are unfair, and change the way we deal with the bad guys.

But his words can apply to any aspect of life, not just politics. In my career as a trainer I can say that change is the one thing that is needed the most and done the least. I have seen people go way out of their way just to avoid change. I trained adults in job readiness skills. Let me tell you that there were times I couldn't even get an adult to change their seat after 20 minutes of being seated in class. That is how ridiculous we can get about change. We all need to train ourselves to be more open. But it goes further than that.

Change is an action word and that means we need to act if we are going to progress. Change is not a theoretical practice of the mind, it implies real physical movement. For example, we may say that we have changed our attitude towards someone, but unless that is followed up by an action towards that certain person, they are only shallow words. Change means to repent. I instantly scare people away as soon as I say that because of the religious overtones. Well you can apply this to religion if you like. All I am saying is when someone says to you to repent, it simply means to change what you are doing. Change requires 3 things. The first is to recognize the need to change. The second is you actually do the action that is required. The third is you maintain the new course of action. Those happen to be the same three things involved in repentance. They say that recognizing that you need to change is half the battle and that is so true in my experience. The changing part is actually a lot less difficult to do than the first part which again is recognizing that you need to change. The final part is easy. It just requires that you keep on doing the new action over and over again. The second part in the middle means you must turn around and do something different to prove that what you recognized as needed to be done will be done. Change is empowering no matter how small it is as long as it is positive. Today, why not give change a chance and perform an action that you know needs to be done in your life. You will be gratified and empowered when you do it! <bio>John Cyr, is a retired workforce development trainer and motivational consultant who publishes articles and editorials under the pen-name Cyreous.
Do you have a domain name on your server and wish to change it? If so, then read on and find instructions below. However if you wish to change your domain name to a new web host or change the domain name on your current host, then you will need to contact your hosting company because those are changes you are unable to make on your own.

The changes need to be made on the registry of the computer, so you will have to have access to it. If you are operating a server from your computer at home or your office, then this is something you will be able to do when you want to change your domain names.

However, you should keep in mind that messing around in your registry can be tricky so make sure you know what you are doing before you change anything or you may make a mistake that leaves you unable to operate your computer at all.

Before you can change your domain name, you will have to break the trust connections which exist. You will have to remove it from both sides on the trust. Then terminate all of the back office services like Microsoft Exchange Server, Internet Information Server, and the SQL Server. Put all of these services on manual startup.

Now you can change the domain name on PDC. So you will need to reboot it which causes the entry to pop up on the WINS server so you can enter the new domain. If you apply WINS for NetBIOS in place of TCP/IP names resolution, then you will force the copying of the PDC primary WINS server onto all the other WINS servers which will transmit your entry you have for your new domain name.

Now, reboot. After you restart, you will also need to copy all WINS server information which transmits the entry and once that is done, you will have to reestablish your trust connections.

Now you will need to set up your back office services again and get them back online. Apply the start up button to bring up the account and once they are all online, switch back to automatic start up. Now just reboot the back office services in the correct order.

You will also have to change the domain names on every server and workstation. You may also need to change workgroup names. Once the domain change has synchronized through out the system, the domain name change is complete. <bio>Jane Wyvern is an established freelance writer.
When our vehicle needs maintenance we all dread going to the auto mechanic. When we go to check our cars oil and it needs to be changed, we often call around and ask where our friends and family go to avoid loosing money. We all want to save our money and have a good mechanic. There are many good mechanics out there that are very helpful and honest but some just want to make money. If a mechanic doesn't have very many customers and the business is doing bad, it only makes sense for them to raise their prices and costs for their work. To avoid loosing money when taking your vehicle to the shop consider some of these tips to save money:

How much are they charging? - Often when you go to get your oil changed at a place you've never been they will try and rip you off and charge you around $35-$40, especially when they see women. When getting your oil changed they may say they are using the best products, but avoid these because they will be very costly. Say that you just want a basic oil change. Getting an oil change should not cost more than $20.00. Often if you look in the sales ads you can find coupons for a $10.00 oil change sometimes. Mechanics are known for charging over $25 so don't let yourself become that customer. Ask ahead of time how much they charge, and if it's too much just say, "okay I'll keep looking around."

How many miles until your next oil change? -- Getting an oil change is very important. If you want your vehicle to run well and run for years you need to take very good care of it. Often auto mechanics say you need an oil change every 3,000. Although it is important to get them, you don't need them every 3,000. Unless your oil is very dirty and it's darker than a light brown color you don't need one. Keep up with your maintenance but don't let them fool you.

You need this type of oil -- When you go to take your car in for an oil change, it is very typical that a mechanic will say, "You need this kind of oil or air filter". Just let them know that you want the most basic there is. If you don't want to spend a fortune, basic will do just fine on your car. An oil change should not cost more than $20.00-25.00, so if the price is way over that ask them why. Right when you pull in, be firm and let them know that you want everything basic and nothing more, unless you really do.

We all dread going to the auto mechanic. With the prices on things today it's important that we get charged what we deserve and nothing more. Check for coupons in the sales ad and watch yourself start saving money. Going to get your car's oil changed shouldn't be an expensive hassle and all!<bio>Find a gas credit card and more of Tom's work at FINDgascards.</bio>

There is no legal requirement to do so, yet most brides change their names after getting married. Normally, brides take their husband's last name keeping their own first names. Commonly, newly married women hyphenate their surname with their husband's. When Mary Jones marries Joe White, she may hyphenate the two surnames such as Jones-White. On rare occasions, men will change their names after the wedding.

Brides, who take on their husband's last name, normally keep their middle names. Mary Ann Jones may become Mary White. The law prohibits the name change for the purpose of fraud. The new name is required to be entered in the appropriate space on the marriage license. If a woman is married for the second time, she may take the name of the second husband even though she has take the name of the first husband after her first marriage.

If is possible, and is often the case, for a married woman to continue to use her own maiden name professionally while taken on the new surname socially. So, she continues as Mary Jones at work, while socially she is Mrs. Mary White.

If the woman has children from a previous marriage, the children will normally retain the last name of their father. At the same time she may revert to her maiden name or take on her new husband's last name. Make sure you notify all interested parties about your changed name to avoid confusion. Some of the most common places you should notify are doctors, dentists, banks, schools, and any organization you may belong to. Some organizations may accept a written letter, while other may require proof of name change.

If you decide to change your name in an unconventional way, you may be faced with some challenges. You may come up with a hybrid name made up of your surname and the surname of your husband. The process is going to be the same, except you may have to explain your new name to a few people.

If you decide to make the name change at a later date, you may file a petition for change of name with the court. <bio>Author: George Meszaros with http://www.sweet-reflections.com </bio>

There are different things that we can do with our hair. If we want to look different, we can style it differently. If we want to have a more noticeable change, we can cut it short or add some highlights to it.

Women change their hair for several different reasons. Others consider it as a symbol of a significant change in their lives. For some it implies a new beginning while for others, it is as simple as wanting to acquire a new look.

The change of hairstyle does not necessarily mean cutting your hair to a shorter length. If you do not want the scissors to get hold of your hair, you can try other approaches. One is changing the shape of your hair. If you have a curly hair, you can straighten it. You can use chemical straighteners or thermal devices. Curly hair is prone to damaege; make sure that you use nothing but the best hair straightener iron. Even if your hair is straight, you can make it ultra straight by using such device.

You can do the opposite if you have a straight hair. You can either make small curls on your hair or sexy waves. You will be surprised with how these few tricks can instantly change your look. The key to achieving natural looking curls is to divide your hair in small sections and curl them one at a time. You can also apply curling waxes so that the curls will hold longer.

You can also change your look by changing its hair color. If you are not sure with the color, you can move around the family of your hair color. If you are blonde, you can either go for a lighter or darker shade. If you are a redhead, light brown can probably work for you. You can also add highlights to add more drama to your hair.

You can also restyle your hair by following a different haircut. This does not mean that there will be a significant change in the length of your hair. You can simply adapt a different cut. If you have a straight cut, ask the hairstylist if layers will look good on you. You can consider adding bangs as well. There are plenty of haircuts out there, do not be afraid to try them especially if you really want a noticeable change.

You can also change your looks by changing the way you tie your hair. If your are used to pony tails when you go out, try letting your hair down. Do the opposite if otherwise.

There are surely different hairstyles that will suit you. Regardless of the type of the hair you have, you will definitely find means to restyle it. Your look can change from simply using the best hair straightener iron to tying it differently. If you do not want to change its length, you can change your hair color. However, if you want to have a more obvious change, deviate from the usual length of your hair. Cut it short or just simply change the layers. It is always exciting to have a new look.<bio>Kristy is a professional hair stylist and writer for My Hair Styling Tools, a leading supplier of Ceramic Hair Straighteners, Professional Hair Dryers and Hair Curling Irons. This career change can alter ones life completely and change it for ever. People change careers because they find their current careers boring, monotonies, and unchallenging. There are people who change their careers because they want to try out something new. There are many career changing options available. The industries have become more flexible and are welcoming multi tasking individuals. There are many examples of people who have changed their careers and have been successful at it.

A few important things that one should consider before changing one career are that The fore most thing is to identify the correct reason for which you are changing your a career. There can be many things like friend's influence, monotonous job, lack of growth opportunities, lack of passion, lack of incentives, etc. Once you understand the basic reason why you want to change your career then you will be in a position to think of the new career options.

The second most important thing is to choose a new career. The choice of the new career should be made according to the job opportunities, the growth option, and the pay packages and last but not the least your passion for the new career. There is no point in changing ones career just for the sake of changing it. One should have a strong enough to change his or her career and then also should be confident of doing well in the new career. Then one should also check out the courses that are on offer for the new career. Taking these courses will help you get a better job in that field and will also be helpful for your growth.

There are many part time courses that are available and can help you change your profession. For, example if an IT professional undergoes a part time course for fashion designing and if he is good at it, then he can change is career and become a fashion designer. If there is commerce graduate and he undertakes computer language courses then he can turn into an IT professional. There are no limitations on which course you can undertake or which sector you can work in, each and every career has some pros and cons. There are also career options like modeling, acting singing, drawing, carpentry, sports, business, stock brokers, etc.

While making a career change decision, you must ensure that you have some financial back up, in case you have to wait for a while before you land the new job. This financial savings back up will also allow you some time to deliberate over the various options and will not force you into making a decision in a hurry. After all, your first career choice may have been influenced by peer pressure, parental insistence or simply something random you thought you would like to try. A career change may be a way to correct some such mistakes or simply a way to experience something new.<bio>James Copper is a writer for http://www.newcareerskills.co.uk where you can find out how to get a career change</bio>

Change Management deals with the implementation of change within an organisation in a systematic and planned manner. The main objective of Change Management is to: reduce the probability of change implementation failure; reduce resistance to change; and obtain maximum benefit from the implementation.

To understand Change Management it is essential to understand the concept of change. "We must always change, renew, and rejuvenate ourselves; otherwise we harden," said Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe. And change applies not only to individuals but to organizations as well. Change is inevitable and is imperative for the success of a firm. An organisation needs to change constantly, adapting to changing external circumstances, otherwise they risk becoming obsolete.

However, the introduction of changes is not a laughing matter. It is human psychology to resist change. There can be several reasons for resistance to change in an organisation: the uncertainty involved; inefficient communication of the changes needed; lack of courage; lack of the necessary skills; lack of communication of the purpose of the change; lack of support and motivation on the part of the management. This is one of the areas where Change Management plays a significant role.

According to Wikipedia, Change Management is "a structured approach to transitioning individuals, teams, and organizations from a current state to a desired future state." Individual and organizational Change Management refers to the process of understanding and implementing changes at the level of singular staff members and groups of individuals respectively.

Individual Change Management and organizational Change Management are the two major aspects of the processes of Change Management. Experts have come up with several models for Change Management at both these levels. Lewin developed a 3-stage model for individual Change Management, called the Unfreeze-Change-Re-freeze model. In the first stage, Unfreezing, an attempt is made to 'unfreeze' or question existing beliefs, policies and procedures, and realizing the need for change. In the second stage, Change, the necessary changes are implemented. The third stage, Re-freezing, attempts to 're-freeze' or create acceptance for the recently incorporated changes, to replace the old beliefs with new ones.

Hughes also uses a similar 3-stage approach in his model for individual Change Management. The 3 stages developed by him are Exit, Transit and Entry. According to Judson, the implementation of change includes 5 major steps: analysis of the existing situation and determining the changes to be made; providing information about the required changes; motivation and creating awareness and acceptance for the changes; actual implementation of the changes; evaluation of the changed situation, making modifications wherever necessary, and replacing the old system with the new one.

Similarly, the Change Management formula developed by Prosci, known as the ADKAR Model, also uses 5 steps. As per this model, the steps in Change Management are: Awareness of the necessity for change; creating Desire for the changes needed; sharing Knowledge on how the changes would be implemented; creating Ability for changes to be implemented; and Reinforcement for maintaining the changes in the long run.

Regarding organizational Change Management, the theory of Donald Schön is quite well known. He said organizations usually have the tendency of being closed to change, and do not accept change easily. However, if firms develop themselves as 'learning organizations' all staff would be constantly learning, changing and growing and thus change would be easier to implement.

In conclusion, Change Management benefits both businesses and individuals alike. The process takes time and effort but the results are beneficial for every one involved. Change Management is an on-going process and the effectiveness of the process can be increased when individual and organizational methods are used in conjunction with each other.<bio>Sandra Goode wrote the Article 'Change Management Enhances Business' and recommends you visit http://www.afaprojects.com for more information on strategic change management training</bio>

You may have heard it said before that an attitude change is easy. All you have to do is change everything about yourself. As crazy as it seems, it's the truth. A change in your attitude will eventually involve everything about you. It's easy and yet, the fact that you have to keep at it day after day after day is what makes it really hard. An attitude change requires a long term perseverance that few people have. That's what makes it the biggest change you will ever make.

Attitude changes typically take place when something monumental happens in a person's life that suddenly makes them see everything differently. This may be a near-death experience or some kind of tragedy that they weren't expecting. People begin to see that life is extremely fragile and they begin to think that maybe the real meaning of life is contained in something other than the things they used to value so much. They begin to change their values to and to approach life from a new perspective about what is truly important. It doesn't have to be a tragedy or a near-death experience, however, which brings this about. An attitude change can take place simply because you decide that you want to make yourself into a better person and you are determined to make that happen.

One of the most common reasons for bringing about an attitude change, besides a tragedy or near-death experience is the simple fact that a person becomes fed up with the life they have been living. They no longer see themselves as a worthwhile individual and they want to feel good about themselves again. Maybe it was just a little thing that went wrong in their life but it was somehow the straw that broke the camel's back and now they are ready to really change their life. How do they get serious about this plan and make themselves actually stick to the new changes that they have in mind for themselves? What do they need to do to actually make this attitude change a reality?

One of the best ways to really make your attitude change stick is to join a group and make a commitment to go to that group several times a week in order to remind yourself about the changes you are trying to make. Other people can do wonders for your attitude and make you stick to the promises you have made for yourself simply because you feel more support from other people when you join a group. It really doesn't matter who the people are in the group and whether you like them or not. This is not how an attitude change works. The change takes place because you make a commitment to make friends with some new people who are trying to do the same thing as you are trying to do; i.e. improve you life! You go to the group, not because the people are so great or you love them so much. You go to the group because you are trying to make yourself a better person and you know that you can't really do it on your own. This is called humility and it is a primary ingredient in bringing about an attitude change in anyone.

You have to be able to admit that you can't do everything on your own. People don't become educated doctors or lawyers on their own. They go to school and classes to achieve this. Similarly, you can't change your attitude and become a new person on your own. You need other people! If you are serious about making an attitude change in yourself, you will make a commitment to join a group and start working toward your goal with others who are also interested in the same thing. There are thousands of groups out there and you can find one that fits the interests you have to make a change. Attitude change is easy but it takes concerted effort over a long period of time. What better way to devote yourself to this long term goal than to try out a new group and make a commitment to help out each week. You will surely be on the road to success once you have made that decision! <bio>Gary Miller was the World's Leading expert on Negative Thinking until he lost approximately $3 Million Dollars because of a lifetime of negative thinking.
Think you can't change? Many of us already know that we need to improve our state of well-being in order to extend our lives as we age. Making changes are traditionally difficult, but the good news is that it's never too late to make changes for the better. The first step is to understand what's important to you, and then determine the choices and decisions that represent where you want to be. Maybe you want to start a new career, lose weight, stop smoking or start exercising. Whatever the change is, be sure you understand why you want to make the change.

Take a moment to think about a time in your life when you made a successful change or developed a new habit. What was your motivation for the change? What was your attitude at the time? What obstacles or barriers did you have to overcome? Your level of readiness to change will determine how successful you are, and how much time it will take. Once you make the decision to change, you must practice that new behavior one day at a time until it becomes a habit - a lasting change.

What allows some people to change, while others don't? According to Dr. James Prochaska, developer of the "Stages of Change Model," people cycle through a very distinct set of stages when making changes in their lives - from not being interested in making any changes, all the way through to maintaining a change after it's already been made. This is the real challenge for everyone, because resistance is always the initial response to making a change. Sometimes people don't see the positive side of change until it's shown to them (or until they are forced to realize it on their own). Change is a choice. It's something we decide to do. The same goes for wellness - it's a choice, and once you have decided to change, you'll feel better.

Embracing the concept of change is a big thing, because interestingly, many people think they don't have a choice when it comes to change. Why? For some it's fear, guilt, love, pain, time management or even a court order. What motivates one person may not be the same thing that gets another person to act. Everyone reacts differently to changes weather voluntary or mandatory.

To start making a change, let go of certain assumptions or ways of doing things, to make room for new ideas. Work on this one day at a time until you feel comfortable. This often comes into play when I work with sedentary people to increase their activity level (people who work a lot and don't have a lot of time to exercise). One of my clients' complaints was, "I don't want to take an hour or 30 minutes to walk." My solution was to suggest several two-minute intervals that would equal 30 minutes throughout the day -- just stand up, walk around and visit people throughout the office, for example. The result was successful. He exercised and actually became more sociable as a result! Once he became comfortable with walking, I got him up to 10-minute intervals three times a day. Now he's walking 30 minutes at one time and enjoying it. This all took place over the course of a few months.

To make a lasting change, you start wherever you are and stretch a tiny bit more each time. If you fall off the wagon, or experience resistance, identify the cause or circumstances-- who you were with, where you were, or your emotional state. The key is to get up and get back on the path again. You may go back and forward a few times because making a lasting change is hard. Your level of readiness to change will determine how successful you are, and how much time it will take. But you need to be ready, able and willing to make change happen. <bio>Diane Randall is the President of Life Accelerated and Certified Wellness Coach.
It is very important to keep up with the maintenance on your vehicle, so that it will run properly. The key to making your vehicle run as long as possible is by taking care of it. Although we hate going to see the auto mechanic it is very important. Taking care of your vehicle is like you taking care of your body by going to the doctors. We hate to go to the mechanic because it is always a ton of money and we are always afraid that we're getting ripped off. Some auto mechanics are great for scamming you and taking your money. One of the things that you need to keep up on when it comes to your vehicle is the oil changes. Going to get your oil changed doesn't have to be such a dreadful experience. A lot of mechanics like to rip you off with these but if you go in knowing how things work you can save yourself a ton of money. Ready below to see how you can avoid getting scammed by an auto mechanic.

How much do oil changes cost? -- An oil change should never cost you more than $25.00. Before you even take your car in call up and ask how much they will be charging. You want to make sure you don't get ripped off. Unless you get a better oil or air filter it should be a reasonable price.

How often should you get an oil change? -- Auto mechanics like to tell you that you need an oil change every 3,000. If you look at your oil when your car hits 3,000 miles it will not be that dirty. They like you to keep coming back for their business to make money. Take your car in when the oil is dirty not every couple days or miles. Although you don't need it every 3,000 it is important that you do get it when it starts to look darker than light brown or has a dark tint to it.

What kind of oil do you need? -- Auto mechanics like to say that you need this type of oil for your car. If you want just a basic oil change let them know. You don't need anything fancy or expensive for your vehicle to run right. Yes, some oils may work better or last longer but they aren't needed for your car to run smoothly.

Make sure that when you go in to get your oil changed you let them know you want just a basic oil change. Also, when you pull up ask how much it will cost before they do anything. You don't want a surprise when you're finished by spending over $25.00. By asking how much it costs from the beginning they get the idea that they aren't going to be able to rip you off so let them know you're aware of how much an oil change will cost. Stop getting ripped off by auto mechanics and start paying the right price.<bio>Find business gas cards and more of Tom's work at FINDgascards.</bio>

Did you ever notice how someone who was an "okay" guy in the beginning began changing and somehow down the road lost interest in the relationship? In the beginning the romance steadily climbed and after a couple of months reached its maximum intensity, but then suddenly hit a plateau, then it was downhill from that day on.

Loving then losing the man you thought loved you have always been a mystery. And when this new boyfriend comes along you tell him immediately the things you like and do not like because you wanted to be "honest" from day one. What happened in the past shouldn't happen again, so you tell your new man the right way to show his love, and everything would be wonderful from the very beginning, right?

Sorry, but no. It doesn't work that way.

A lot of women automatically think that she needs to "educate" their men and "teach" him how he should love her. Or you could simply be the woman that he loves. Honestly, you can't teach and educate your man just to get the change that you want to find in him. In other words, you can't be both a teacher and a lover.

For a man to be inspired to change, he needs to look up to someone he admires and tries to emulate. Only then can he change for the better, but remember that he won't be changing for you. He'll be changing for his sake.

Even if you tried to be that person he looks up to, you won't change him into be the man you want him to be. As I have said earlier, you man will change for his own sake, because he wants to change for himself and not for you. Hard reality, perhaps, but that is how things are.

Having said that, is there any way that you can change your man?

As I have said before, you cannot. What you can do is to lessen the probability of going into a hurtful relationship with men like that. How? When you are still in the stage of casually dating and getting to know each other, be yourself and do not pretend to be somebody you are not. You simply won't be able to keep up the ruse forever. If you want him to truly love you, be simply and unabashedly yourself.

Pretending may get his attention in the beginning, but the true "you" will always show up in the end. And when that happens, you can almost be sure what his next move would be.

He'll withdraw, realizing that you're really not the woman he fell in love with.

The simple solution to this problem is honesty. You would be surprised, but the good men are the ones who value honesty, as opposed to jerks who only want beautiful trophy girlfriends to show off. This is not the relationship that you want for yourself. You want a man who loves you deeply because you are who you are, right?<bio>Aaron Adams specialises in relationship matters for women. Not that positive thinking isn't terrific, it is. Positive thinking gets you to focus on your goals rather than your unhappiness, but that is only one step on the road to improving your life.

Successful change requires taking action, handling the problem in a different way than you have in the past. Thinking about it, wishing, daydreaming, repeating old behaviors, none of that works. Only an actual change in your behavior will move you in a new direction to fix the problem.

But if you're like most of us, much as you may want to change, when the time comes to actually do things differently, negative feelings get in the way. Everybody wants to feel ready to change before they get going. "As soon as I lose 20 pounds, I'll try to find a guy." "When I don't feel so depressed, I'm definitely going to look for a job."

Or sometimes when people's feelings resist change, they decide change is totally impossible for them. "It's my nature to be shy. There's nothing I can do about that." "It would make me too nervous to give up cigarettes." "AA can't help. My father was alcoholic and so was my grandfather. It's genetic."

Wanting to feel ready to change before taking action is exactly backwards. As a clinical psychologist who has spent many years helping people successfully change, I know that if you wait to feel ready to make your move, you could wait forever. But the good news is, with the right roadmap, it's perfectly possible to move yourself forward without feeling ready. We don't like to go against our own feelings, but in the situations I'm talking about, it isn't dangerous to do so, just uncomfortable. And there are techniques you can learn to handle that discomfort and move forward anyway.

What are the real "secrets" to successful change? First off understanding that change takes time, so be patient and remember to pat yourself on the back for the effort you make. You'll also need a solid plan and techniques like Mindfulness training to help you manage any emotional resistance to change that you may experience. Finally, just as an actor rehearses, you'll need to practice and fine-tune your new behavior before trying it out in the real world.

Making a personal change that you know will improve your life better is a very empowering experience. Don't let your feelings and fears stop you. Your life is not a dress rehearsal. Choose to make the most of it!<bio>Marion K.
You can't change a habit unless you replace it with another one. The same is true of motivation. You can't change how someone is motivated unless you replace the undesirable motivation with a desirable one. Hence, you have to understand whether your prospect's motivation is a positive one or a destructive one .

Once inspiration is identified, you must build on that inspiration until you create an intense hunger in your prospects. This means that you get them to take responsibility for their own lives. You get them to set new goals or to review their existing goals as well as their reasons for setting them. Another way to stoke the motivational fires is to find somebody who shares your same passion.

As you prepare to tap into your audience's inspirations, ask yourself or your prospects the following questions. Once you tap into this amazing source of motivation, you can create your call to action. These questions will work for you on a personal level or they can be adapted to suit your audience. I have purposely kept these questions in the second person so you will understand what it takes to tap into your own passion and inspiration.

1.	What do you love to do? 2.	What would you do with your life if you could do anything? 3.	What inspires you? 4.	What do you want to achieve in this life? 5.	If you had all the money in the world, what would you do with your life?

As a master motivator, you want others to not only take action, but you also want them to make changes in their lives. To facilitate motivation and change, you must know and understand the answer to each of these questions. You can only facilitate change in your audience after you have answered these questions about them:

1.	What knowledge and information do your prospects need to take action? 2.	Are they more motivated by inspiration, desperation or a combination of the two? 3.	What is the cost of staying the same, or what will happen if they don't change? 4.	What are the benefits your prospects will receive when they make the change you are asking of them? 5.	Do they feel capable and competent enough to make that change? <bio>Learning how to persuade and influence will make the difference between hoping for a better income and having a better income. Beware of the common mistakes presenters and persuaders commit that cause them to lose the deal. Go to http://prewealth.com/mistakestoavoid and explode your income today. </bio>

If you are looking for an oil change in Houston, pay attention.

There are many auto repair shops and quick lube places out there that just won't give you the quality you are looking for. Your car is probably one of the most expensive things you own, so you don't want to entrust it to just anyone. Protect your valuable property by using these five factors to make sure you get the oil change Houston car owners generally want, which is high quality and a good value.

1: a mechanic, not a teenager, changed your oil. Many quick lube places, and even some auto repair shops, hire young kids to do oil changes. Now, not all teenagers are capable of doing an oil change, but do you really want your car worked on by someone who doesn't have any professional experience prior to this job? When getting an oil change in Houston, it's in your best interests to ensure that the guy working on your car actually knows what he's doing.

2: The focus was on quality, not speed. There are auto repair shops and quick lube places everywhere, so competition is fierce. One way that many quick lube places set themselves apart is by promising to have your oil changed within a ridiculously short time frame, often fifteen or twenty minutes. The problem with this is that it takes the focus off of doing a good job. The result is that the dirty oil often doesn't get fully drained, your oil filter might not actually get changed, and the technicians working on your car might make stupid mistakes, like stripping out your oil drain plug, in their rush to get your oil change done.

3: The mechanic did a visual inspection while he was under the hood. Even when all you're looking for is to get an oil change in Houston, a good mechanic should always pay attention to what they see under the hood. If they see a problem, they should tell you without pressuring you to get it fixed right then and there. A good mechanic will be able to advise you on when you should get the problem fixed, how much it'll cost, and what the consequences of waiting too long might be.

4: You were told when your next oil change is due. After getting an oil change in Houston, you should always leave knowing when your next oil change is due. Auto repair shops and quick lube places often place a little sticker in the upper left-hand corner of the windshield, which tells you the mileage and date by which you should get your next oil change done, usually three thousand miles or three months. Always do the oil change by whichever comes up first. Even if you don't drive a thousand miles a month on average, you should still have your oil changed every three months for sure.

5: You were treated with respect. It's unfortunate, but many auto repair shops and quick lube places fail to treat their customers with enough respect, particularly if they view them as being rather na=EFve about auto mechanics. Women in particular are susceptible to being treated badly or taken advantage of by these places, as many men assume women don't know anything about their cars. If you feel you have been treated badly by a mechanic, manager, or other personnel at the repair shop, there are steps you can take, including reporting the situation to their superior, or filing a complaint with organizations such as the Better Business Bureau and RipoffReport.com. You probably also will want to avoid that repair shop in the future.

The oil change Houston car owners want provides quality along with value: You know your car has gotten the attention you've paid for, but you also know that you've gotten a good price for those services. If you are looking for an oil change in Houston, be sure that you take these five points into consideration. If you get an oil change that doesn't measure up to your standards, be sure to find a better place to go next time. <bio>Andy West is a freelance writer for DAE, which offers oil change Houston area services.
One of the biggest triggers for an episode of stress, depression or anxiety is a change to our lives, particularly unwanted change such as a death of a loved one, a job loss or a relationship breakdown. These are unpleasant experiences and for many, a prolonged period of mental trauma followed.

During the past week, two friends of mine have experienced differing major changes to their lives yet both reacted in exactly the same way. There is a very important skill to be learned from both experiences when it comes to change, and I'll share it with you. Before I do, let's look at how two totally different changes can trigger the same reaction but with drastically different emotional results.

Jimmy was my best buddy during childhood and our families were good friends. I haven't seen him for a while and out of the blue, I bumped into him whilst on a night out. Sadly, his news wasn't good as his father had passed away after battling cancer that very morning. Obviously, he'd known for a while that his father's days were numbered but despite this, he was still in a state of shock and of course, he was deeply saddened.

I wished that our greeting could've been in happier circumstances, but such is the tide of life.

The following day, Paul, my best friend, rang me and told me some very good news. After studying and working hard for the last two years, he had reached his goal: a fully qualified commercial airline pilot. Knowing how focused and dedicated he's been I was absolutely delighted for him! Of course, he was buzzing with excitement about the future that now awaits him.

OK, both of them supplied the same meaning to their circumstances by saying EXACTLY the same phrase:

"Things will never be the same again."

Same phrase, but a world apart in meaning.

In the first situation, the loss of a loved one is an unwanted change, a change that cannot be prevented. In the second situation, the qualifications are a wanted, planned change, a change brought about by conscious choice to achieve a desired lifestyle.

However, there is a very important lesson you can learn from both that can help you deal with change, whether it's a desired change like a change of job or an unwanted change like loss of a loved one.

Look at the phrase again. It describes not just individual experiences but the whole of life on planet earth. Because NOTHING in this life will stay the same. It just isn't the nature of life. The very nature of life itself is a constant cycle of birth and death.

As a species, humanity has evolved throughout its history and will continue to do so. The way life is today is dramatically different than it was just 20 years ago. Technology, science, education, standards of living -- you name it, it changes.

Look at your own life and you'll see that change has been ever present. People, jobs, relationships, lifestyle -- none of it has ever stayed the same. And imagine how boring life would be if everyday was exactly the same!

Reacting to change in a catastrophic or euphoric manner isn't the way to deal with it. Far better -- and far less emotionally arousing -- is to accept that change is a constant of life whether we want change or not and that change will always happen. It's how you adapt and assign meanings to change that counts.

Keep this in mind when change occurs and you won't become emotionally traumatized. Change is a constant and indeed, things will never be the same again! <bio>Former anxiety sufferer Chris Green is the author of "Conquering Stress", the internationally acclaimed program which will help you to permanently conquer stress, depression and anxiety without taking powerful drugs.
If you're forced into a career change because of a layoff, don't panic. While it may seem the end of the world it could end up being a blessing in disguise. In fact many, especially those in middle age who've been stuck in jobs they don't enjoy because they've built up seniority, find they ultimately welcome the forced career change. Here are some things you must do to help yourself survive the career change.

First, take stock of what you are due by your former employer and make sure you get all of it. If you are laid off unemployment compensation is your right. It may not be a lot of money =96 many states pay1000 a month or less but its your right and its tax free. Take it. You'll generally only have to wait one week before you start getting your checks. You also have a right to the same medical coverage as you had when you were working, as long as you pay into it the sum total of what you had been paying and what your employer had been paying for you. While this might seem a hefty price you'll generally find that the coverage will be a much better buy than anything you can find on your own. Don't be tempted to go without health insurance. Its far too great a risk.

The plan that allows you this coverage is called COBRA, which stands for Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act. Its regulated by the U.S. federal government and you can take advantage of the coverage for up to 18 months after you leave your job. Your employer is required by law to provide the coverage. It doesn't require any medical exam and you have up to 60 days from the expiration of the insurance coverage period you were paying into when you were last employed. In other words, if you paid for the month of April and were laid off April 9th, you would have until the end of June to pick up COBRA.

Many companies offer laid off employees a severance package. If you are not offered this, do ask. Your career change may involve further education and this money might be the difference between being able to go back to school or not. It may also be that your former employer will pay for an outplacement counsellor to help you with your career change.

You must strategize your career change. Take full stock of your finances and devise a plan to manage and pay your household expenses. Reduce and even eliminate any luxury items. Make smart budget decisions. Digital cable TV is far less important to your career change plans that your high speed Internet connection, for example.

Plan your job hunt and your career change wisely. It may be that an immediate job hunt is not going to be the same as your ultimate career change. You may need to take a job at least part time, or second shift, or temporarily to get by while you pursue your career dreams, expand your training and so forth. It may be that you'll have to take a lower-paying job in your new field to get your foot in the door. Accept that if its necessary, and budget accordingly. Keep in mind the ultimate career change goal and look at it as the first step in the very right direction. <bio>James Copper is a writer for http://www.newcareerskills.co.uk </bio>

Change is a very powerful word in this 21st century society, but many people are afraid to change. The word change in the dictionary simply means 'to become different, or to make something or somebody different'.

My intention with this article is to present to the reader that change is good and positive and something not to be afraid of, especially when it comes to increasing your wealth. Many of us desire and dream that we could one day be wealthy and financially free, never having to worry about finance again, so that things would be different, and ultimately, that things would change.

Change confronts us all with a choice - the choice to make a change or remain the same. Now I know that none of us really want our finances to remain the same, otherwise things like Lotto would go broke, so what type of change am I thinking?

Have you heard of Online Businesses, or Internet Marketing? There are many people around the world developing new and exciting businesses online, and are changing their lives from relying on their weekly pay cheque, to having cheques consistently week after week after week, all year round and year after year, being delivered to their mailbox, simply because they started and developed an online business.

Like any business it takes blood, sweat and tears before you can sit back and reap the rewards, but being determined to change your finances forever is the first goal you must keep in the forefront of your thoughts and your actions. Just as every person is different, so is every Internet business opportunity, but the opportunity is there none the less, and the opportunity is there to bring change.

Online businesses are not acceptable and designed for everyone, just as not everyone is suited to working from home with an online business. But if you're a little bit fed up with working for the man, and earning money for Uncle Sam, and finding that week after week your money is going out more than it is coming in, then maybe it is time for a change - a Big Change.

I sincerely recommend investigating and researching the opportunities that are available in the Online Business world, for as sure as the sun is ready to set tomorrow, tomorrow will come with or without change, so why don't we take the plunge and prepare for Change today, and make a definite and determined change to your pocket tomorrow.

Understand that it is acceptable to examine the opportunities that are available, and there are many of them, but at some point you are going to have to take the plunge and jump in and get started, or walk away from the pool of online potential and resources, and remain a slave to your daytime job forever.

Once you have decided on a suitable Internet business, and one that lives up to its promises by giving clear instruction, mentorship and support, give it every opportunity to grow. Look at your new business like a young plant needing to grow roots, and by giving it time to establish its potential of providing much fruit, you will eventually benefit enormously year after year, in season and out of season.

The finance that comes in from successful online businesses is called residual income, which just keeps on coming year in and year out, just like the fruit of a tree, except your business will bare fruit all year round.

Remember, it is ok to dip your toe in the water and check the temperature, but at some time you will have to develop the confidence to go for it and get wet.

A decision to change today will bring positive change tomorrow, and change tomorrow will significantly bring an abundance of Change to your pocket in the not to distant future. <bio>Ian Fisher is owner of http://TheFi5hFinance.com and writes on a variety of subjects.
Back on March 25, 2002, I wrote a newsletter on personalities. But I didn't go far enough when it came to telling how these personalities effect the way change takes place. Personality type naturally plays a role in one's ability to meet change head on. You remember the grid that I described showing Controllers, Promoters, Supporters, and Analyticals. The same grid, with a little change, tells a story about change potentials.

Each type is perfectly capable of normal change. The center of the grid could be shaded in as "OK about change". At their extreme edges, however, like when a Controller is a very strong Controller, or an Analytical is a very strong Analytical - pronounced differences become apparent.

Drivers love to lead, and true to leading implies change, so it is logical that Drivers have a special knack for changing. Pure Drivers are metaphiles, cheerful embracers of the new and untested. But, the change has to make sense or it's not worth doing.

Expressives like to play. Their natural mode is exploration, and that is an intrinsically useful part of change. Pure Expressives are metamaniacs, so enamored of change that they have to be changing in order to function. They live in a world of constant change. They embrace change to the point that if they feel nervous if things are not changing regularly. In leadership positions, Expressives force change whether it makes sense or not=85just `cause.

Amiables are the people everyone else loves to have around. They are the perfect antidote in a marriage to a strong Driver - they smile, they shrug, they love, they forgive. Not exactly hard chargers. Thus, Amiables have a tendency to be metaphobes, people disinclined by nature to enjoy change much. They'll change, though, as long as others do too.

Analyticals are usually right, but they can be awfully tight about it. They are the perfectionists of the world, dotting every "i" and crossing every "t". At the extreme, they become metamorons, people to whom change is completely unacceptable - because change ruins their data, their level thinking field.

What does it mean? It means you don't load a change initiative team with metamaniacs - there will be hamburger all over the highway. Neither do you assign a metamoron the task of leading a team in a pilot change project.

Most teams contain people from more than one group. This is not a bad thing. A team with a metaphile on it will likely galvanize everyone else to follow. A team with a metamaniac on it will benefit from the reassuring foot-dragging effect of a metaphobe.

As always, the beauty of teams is the diversity of their members. A team of all metamorons - all people with a strong Analytical bent, like a lot of functional teams in finance, engineering, and the other analytical arts - is going to have a hell of a time moving off the dime.

By the way, in my practice, I have learned that not many people enjoy being called metamorons. Just remember that only extreme, off-the-chart Analyticals qualify for this august title. Chances are, you're much too balanced to deserve such an epithet. <bio>A world class speaker, author, and educator, Dr. Robbins focuses on transformational leadership by providing leadership skill training, team building / team leadership training, management development training, and executive coaching.
