After you have completed the business incorporation process, don't expect that your work is done. Actually, the real work is just starting. Being a corporation means that you are not the center of the business anymore. You have your partners, stockholders, and shareholders to think about. In addition, you have to continue providing service to your clients without a dip in quality. But your first order of business after the business incorporation process is producing your corporate kit.

Corporate kits are essential for a start-up incorporated business. These kits contain every legal papers documenting the entire business incorporation event. These will keep the necessary records that will facilitate the distribution of stocks. The kit may also be used to keep track of the shareholders and the value of their assets. However, a standard corporate kit only include six items: your corporate seal, certificates of stock, ledger of stock transfer, by-laws and sample minutes, minute binder, and other miscellaneous forms.

Business incorporation requires that every transaction of a stockholder or the management must be approved by the entire corporation. The corporate seal affixed on the document guarantees that the deal is legally approved. The seal is in the form of a portable press where documents are affixed or imprinted with the corporation seal. The seal imprint shows the corporation name, the approval date of the incorporation application, and the state where the business is incorporated. Years back, all states required corporate seals. Today, only a few keeps the corporate seal requirements. But even so, corporate seal imprints lend business documents power or authority.

Of course, in incorporating your business, you are accepting the multiple system of ownership that comes with it. The business incorporation process requires you to divide the ownership of the business among yourself and your stockholders. Certificates of stocks ownership are issued to every stockholders with information about their part in the corporation. These certificates indicate the value of a stockholder's share in the business.

The value of a stockholder's stock determines his power within the corporation. Why? Because corporations can crash if major stockholders pull out their shares or investments. This is why it is important to keep track of the shares of each stockholder. Deals between the stockholders can also affect the corporation and must be closely monitored. These changes and deals are recorded in a ledger of stock transfer. For example, a major stockholder buys the shares of a minor partner to increase his value in the corporation. The details of this deal, like the issuance date, certificate numbers, and the stockholders involved in the trade, are all recorded for reference. These will come in handy if a need for business incorporation renewal should arise.

In accordance with business incorporation policies, the by-laws will dictate all the regulations concerning the corporation. It will cover policies from the organizational structure to the most trivial rule. Minutes and results of meetings and conferences are recorded in the minutes binder to establish the validity of each corporation decision. Business incorporation is all about working and managing a business with other people. However, as with all situations that deal with investments and money, lines must be kept straight. <bio>To know more about business incorporation, checkout http://www.incorporation-service.net </bio>

Business incorporation a decade or two ago is a tedious process that businesses often reach bankruptcy before being awarded corporation status. However, recent developments in the business world and the creation of Business Corporation Act make the process quicker and easier. Business journals outline three steps for business incorporation: securing corporate name, submitting required documents, and paying filing dues. These process can be done with the services of your lawyer or you can opt to D-I-Y.

First, secure and ensure a corporate name. Check other businesses' names before deciding on yours. Business incorporation processes are usually disrupted by businesses filing names already owned by other companies. Also, avoid naming your corporation names that sound and spell like other companies' names. Not only same sounding names might confuse possible clients, these can also cause your business to be overshadowed by the other company. This is especially true if they have been in the business longer, hence more popular.

Second, prepare all documents pertinent to business incorporation application. File these documents as early as you can for quicker processing. Third, pay all required state fees for application; taxes and other fees is a must if you want an efficient processing of your papers. State filing rates vary from state to state, these can be as low as $100 or as high as $400. Paying these dues is necessary to establish your company in that particular state.

These can be tedious steps if you opt to apply by yourself. D-I-Y application requires you to be knowledgeable about state laws concerning business incorporation. Preparing and collecting required documents alone is a long and ardorous task. In addition, you must follow-up and inquire about the status of your application with the authorized agencies yourself. However, using incorporation service groups reduces your burden considerably. After furnishing these companies with information, they will check the corporate name for you, file required documents, and even pay initial dues for you. In addition, they will also assume the duty of following up and inquiring about your application with the respective agencies. These companies have also done these application process many times, which translates into knowing key people inside these agencies which can give your paper or application a push in the right direction. This will result to an easy and efficient business incorporation application for you as their client.

Lastly, these service companies require minimal and nominal fees aside from state filing dues. To promote fast processing, they even allow clients to submit necessary data and information online. Though lawyers can do the job for you, you have to pay them hourly for their service. The cost alone might drive you to cancel business incorporation plans as it usually takes a month or so to be fully incorporated. <bio>For more valuable information on business incorporation, please visit http://www.incorporation-service.net </bio>

Just what is an LLC? Here's a definition from Lectric Law Library's Lexicon:

A business structure that is a hybrid of a partnership and a corporation.
If you are a business owner, even if it is a small business, you want to be successful. You are undoubtedly aware of the work it takes to make a business profitable. You might also be aware of the different tax penalties and other ways that the government makes it difficult for a small, young business to make it. You should consider business incorporation. It is not as complicated as you might think it is, in fact, it is quite easy to incorporate your business. By doing it, you will be helping your business to fulfill its potential.

Incorporation is the process of forming a new corporation, whether it is a business, a new town government, or a not-for-profit organization. As a business owner it is easy for you to take advantage of the many benefits that incorporation has to offer. There are several legal advantages to going through the process of business incorporation. For starters, your personal property and possessions will be protected from creditors and lawsuits. Any officers in your corporation (including you) are only responsible for the amount of money that they invest into the corporation. And if you are going through some kind of personal litigation, your corporate assets are secured, other than your personal shares in the organization.

Another plus in business incorporation is that your ownership in the corporation can be transferred to other parties without difficulty, sometimes with little or no paperwork required. Also, your corporation will be taxed at a lower rate than individuals. There is no cutoff point on the loss amount that can be carried into succeeding tax years, either. Further, corporations earn and maintain their own credit ratings separate from the owner, no matter what the owner's personal credit rating might be. Business incorporation is a really good way to not only protect the organization, but to protect the business owner as well.

Yet another advantage to business incorporation is that it is easier to set up retirement plans. In addition, the owner's health insurance premiums are fully deductible, which is a huge bonus. And no matter if the owner or some other officer in the corporation passes away, the corporation continues on forever.

The basic steps in business incorporation are fairly straightforward. Every state is going to have different requirements and applicable laws, so make sure to check before getting started with the process. The first thing you do when incorporating is to file a charter. Check with your state's (or the state that you wish to incorporate in) Secretary of State office for guidelines and appropriate forms to complete. The next step is to choose a name for your new corporation. You should make sure to check trademark registers to avoid duplication and problems later on. Next, you need to complete the corporation's bylaws. These are important because they set forth the particulars regarding annual shareholder meetings and voting procedures. You will also need to report annually on your corporation. This can be done at an annual meeting, and any business that is discussed and voted upon is documented.

Business incorporation can be the answer to making the most of your organization. Taking advantage of the tax benefits alone can help save - and make - you money. And depending on which state you incorporate in, you might have to deal with little or no paperwork and red tape, and even fewer tax issues. Business incorporation is a great way to turn your little business into a legitimate organization, and it is not nearly as complicated as it might sound to you. <bio>Mark is a director of 3 Internet Companies, is a published author and has written many articles on a widespread number of topics. In addition to all of the steps that are required for incorporation, your attorney will also advise you of other options which you may wish to consider, such as whether you may want your business to be recognized in states other than Georgia.

If you are uncertain about any of these matters, your attorney can offer experienced advice that will be in the best interest of your future company and its potential for the widest degree of success. Incorporation does not need to be expensive, and it is certainly worth the value as an investment in your new company.

Forming a corporation is a precise process. There are many things which must be done, and they must be done correctly, in the correct order, and in accordance to a specific time frame. There are very few individuals who have either the degree of knowledge or the time to dedicate to doing it all properly. Even something as basic as meeting deadlines can be a delicate issue for the businessperson who is too busy in the workplace to be as effective as necessary to deal with these details.

When you elect to consult with your attorney and leave the details in his hands, you are making the best possible decision for the eventual success of your new corporation.

If you choose not to go with a Georgia Attorney, of course, there are other alternatives. A number of companies now offer online incorporation services. Before you go with one of these services, however, be careful. There are many mistakes that can be made. For instance, if you file the wrong corporation, say, an S-Corporation rather than an LLC, you could be in for some major trouble during tax filing time! That is why we do recommend working with an Atlanta Attorney. Of course, if you do your homework and know the ins and outs of corporate and tax law, you may very well be able to do it on your own.<bio>Brad Jefferson is a successful entrepeneur and native of Atlanta, Georgia.
Christmas is coming around again and it's never too early to start thinking about what present you are going to buy for your nearest and dearest. When considering what to buy him or her why not consider private number plates?

The starting cost of private number plates has come down over the years and now you can buy for just a few hundred pounds including vat and transfer fee. Most can be supplied on either a retention document or certificate of entitlement which will last for up to 12 months.Numbers supplied in this way already have the transfer fee pre-paid so when the recipient uses the certificate to assign the number to his or her car there is nothing extra to pay.The certificate can also be used as proof of entitlement and with some proof of I.D. you can purchase the physical plates , although they cannot be fixed to car until the tax disc has been changed to suit. This can be done when the DVLA re-open after the holidays.

Should you not want to present the recipient with a certificate or certificate plus plates on Christmas day it should be possible to transfer the number onto the car a few days before christmas and have the tax disc to hand over so they can fit the plates at christmas. This would entail you having access to the V5C registration document , M.O.T. certificate and a photocopy of the tax disc for the vehicle concerned. This is not always possible without letting the cat out of the bag.

Unlike many other Christmas presents, a set of private number plates can last for years, the recipient will always think of the giver every time they walk towards their car and many such registration numbers increase in value over the years. It is well worthwhile considering private number plates as an alternative to traditional Christmas gift ideas. <bio>visit us at http://www.northumbrianumbers.com </bio>

The Diamond Grading Report is more commonly called a diamond certificate. This report, which any buyer should require before purchasing a diamond, comes from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).

A diamond certificate allows a prospective buyer to verify the color, cut, carat, weight, and clarity of a diamond. It relieves the worry of a diamond dealer saying anything less than the truth because the certificate comes from the GIA rather than the dealer. Some sellers require the buyer to absorb the cost of the certificate, but the cost is usually low. In many cases the certificate helps the buyer to negotiate a better price on the diamond or prevent them from purchasing an undesirable diamond, making the certificate well worth the expense.

Diamond certificates come in especially handy for people who buy a high quality diamond, and then later decide to sell the diamond. Not only will it help them be sure to get a good deal when buying, but it can make selling easier as well, since most buyers will expect a diamond certificate. Furthermore, the Diamond Grading Report can be used to look up the current wholesale value of the diamond in question. The guide used by the diamond cutting industry should be used as a reference.

There won't be any doubts when trying to purchase a diamond with a diamond certificate. It makes it easy to find out what the diamond is worth. This prevents the buyer from overpaying, and can prevent a seller from undercharging as well.

When insuring a diamond a copy of the Diamond Grading Report should be given to the insurance company. If it ever becomes necessary to file a claim over the theft of the diamond, having the diamond certificate on file with the insurance agency provides absolute, unquestionable proof of the value of the diamond. Insurance companies cannot argue with the report itself.

Any diamond dealers that seems reluctant to provide a certificate should be avoided. Also avoid sellers that claim a certificate diamond will cost more--the only additional cost should be the relatively small cost of the certificate. If a dealer doesn't want to provide a certificate, then doing business with that dealer is extremely hazardous.

The GIA is the only gemological laboratory that certificates should be accepted from. There are many gemological labs these days, but many are disreputable and may issue inaccurate or blatantly false certificates. The GIA is not only the oldest lab, it has been established as the most respectable and trustworthy as well. Dealers that don't want to use GIA for certification purposes are not likely to be honest dealers.

The extra cost of the certificate should be expected when buying an expensive diamond. If a dealer tries to push the sale without the certificate, or if they want to use a company other than GIA, the buyer should assume the dealer has something that they are trying to hide and refuse to conduct business with that dealer. <bio>John Miller enjoys writing for several online magazines, including http://products-tips.com and http://cheap-product.com </bio>

Certificates in general give you a fast and quick way to get into any profession or help you specialize in your current profession. You can get a certificate in the numerous criminal justice professions.

There are two types of certificate one can get. One is an entry level certificate. This certificate allows you to get entry level positions in your profession. The other certificate is a professional certificate. This certificate is for those already in a profession that want to specialize in certain area of the profession. This is more like continuing education for the professional. The easiest way to explain this is through the examples presented below.

One example is someone who gets an entry level certificate in paralegal studies. This certificate allows you to get entry level job as a legal assistant in law firms or law department of organizations.

On the other hand, a professional in the criminal justice field can get a certificate in paralegal studies. This certificate is a form of professional studies that helps keep them current in the profession. It also helps him or her get more specialized training as paralegal. The hope is that such specialization will help in career advancement.

Another example is someone who gets an entry level certificate in law enforcement. This certificate will enable the person get entry level position in police departments or other law enforcement organizations.

On the other hand, a law enforcement professional can get a certificate to help him or her specialize in an area of law enforcement. It could a certificate that helps him or her perform better as an investigator. This type of law enforcement certificate will strictly focus on investigative skills. The person doing this is again hoping this certificate will help their career advancement.

A final example is an entry level certificate in homeland security. This person will acquire the skills to handle basic homeland security duties. The person will be employed by local, state, or federal homeland security organizations.

On the other hand, a homeland security specialist can get certificate in homeland security that helps him or her perform their job better. This type of certificate could be in the area of counter terrorism. This will keep them in the cutting edge of counter terrorism and help him or her stay ahead of terrorists. Again, the idea here is to keep them relevant in the profession, with the hope that this relevancy will help their career advancement.

Any way you look at it, a certificate in criminal justice can only help the individual that acquires it. An entry level one helps one get a job and a foot in the door of the profession. This foot in the door leads to paychecks. A professional certificate helps one specialize. This specialization leads to career advancement and more money.

I have only given a few examples of certificates in criminal justice. There are a lot more. Covering all of them is beyond what I can do in this short article. If you are interested in seeing more examples, I urge you to do more reading on it. You can do this by visiting websites that deal with the subject in more detail.

Note: You are free to reprint or republish this article.
A spill over of our technological era is the increasing importance attached to identification.

A decade or two ago, word of mouth is a perfectly valid way to identify yourself, but presently, that would just not be enough.

Identification is so important in our world today such that we must always have available a certified copy of birth certificate.

A certified copy of birth certificate is a pre requisite for obtaining documents, and an identification from the local DMV being one of those things.

Many people, including this writer often underestimate the importance of the certified copy of birth certificate, until when we need an important document and we are asked to produce a certificate.

I realized this when I moved from Washington to Las Vegas and finally Oregon.

In my first migration, I got my State of Nevada identification without any hassle.

Then it happened four years later...

After staying in Las Vegas for some time, I never needed my certified copy of birth certificate. Later, I discovered that I had actually lost this vital piece of document.

Four years later, the call of duty took me to Oregon. It was time to get an Oregon identification card.

But instead of getting the card in fifteen minutes as was the case in Las Vegas, I got the shocker of my life.

The official at the counter in a clipped voice told me he can't issue an identification card in Oregon that says I am a female if am not.

Of course, I am a woman! I have been since the day I was born. So I did the next logical thing: I enquired as to what in heavens name she meant.

Then I got another shocker, the lady alerted me that my Las Vegas ID card indicated I was a male!

How I missed this for four years I will never know.

My saving grace the official said is a certified copy of birth certificate as proof that I am a woman. It is needless to guess the outcome; I don't have one.

In the end, I happened to have my son's certified copy of birth certificate which worked as proof that I must be a woman.

I tell you, I will never walk out of a DMV again without making sure I'm a woman! <bio>Parenting Magazine http://www.babies-and-parents.com </bio>

What is SSL?

SSL certificates are generally used with ecommerce shopping carts, or anywhere you want to collect information from a user securely on your website. If you use a secure server certificate with a form; and that form emails the results to you; keep in mind that the email is not secure.

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer): Creates an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. CA (Certificate Authority): The vendor you will get the secure server certificate from CSR (Certificate Signing Request): A text file generated by a web server. A CSR looks like this:

-----BEGIN NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST----- MIIDGgBNAGkAYwByAG8AcwBvAGYAdAAgAFIAUwBBACAAUwB AG4AZQBsACAAQwByAHkAcAB0AG8AZwByAGEAcABoAGkAYwl L0ygNwwNIvKLMPq4/LcUkZ9Oo4AssXW5mvvhHWGz2RWYRhrw8o -----END NEW CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----

First, you need to decide whether to use your hosting shared SSL certificate if they offer it. The URL to your store will look something like:

https://theirserver.com/youruserid/your/path/to/store.html

Or do you want to get your own SSL certificate? The URL will look like:

https://yourdomainname.com

If you decide to use your hosts' shared secure server certificate, then all you need to do is find out the path you need to use to call your files securely, and you will be on your way.

If you decide to get your own SSL certificate, this is generally what happens.

You first need to decide who you are going to get your SSL certificate from. It is a good idea to make sure your host supports your particular vendor. Some certificate authority vendors are:

* Thawte * Verisign * Comodo * You can also review several vendors at a glance at WhichSSL

Before getting your own SSL certificate, you will need to do some reading on what your chosen Certificate Authority requires for a secure certificate, and you'll also need to come up with some documentation. There are several steps to buying a secure server certificate, once you have decided on a vendor.

This is an overview, not written in stone. Each CA is different, so make sure you read their documentation and what they require. Here is an idea of what they want:

All documentation that is requested must match *exactly*. Secure certificate authorities will verify that your organization actually exists, so they know they are issuing to the correct company. You will need to prove that the Organization Name and the Domain name are in fact yours to use. Steps you'll be taking:

* Gather required documentation * Have your host generate a CSR * Complete certificate authority online application * Certificate authority will process your request * Pickup and install your SSL certificate (usually an URL is emailed to you to download the secure server certificate) * Depending on the vendor, it can take a few hours to a few days. * Send secure certificate to host for installation. (Send in plain text)

Once your web hosting provider receives this information; they will generate the CSR and send it back to you in plain text. You then send it on to Verisign or Thawte, or whoever you have chosen as your secure certificate authority. They will then generate a SSL certificate for you which you will send back to your host for installation. Your web host may charge a fee for installation in addition to what your SSL certificate vendor charges.

Something to think about:

If you've decided to purchase your own SSL certificate, you will need to decide how you want your URL to be called. If you, as a rule, call your domain name in your coding as www.yourdomainname.com, then make sure you indicate this to your host when you request a CSR from them. If you don't, and you get the certificate for yourdomainname.com (without the www), this will cause browser errors, making the certificate seem insecure, and you will need to change your coding.

Always use yourself or your company as technical contact.

How to tell if a site is secure?

After you've browsed to a site securely; using https:// in the URL, look on the lower right hand side of your browser. You should see a closed lock. This will tell you the site is secure. <bio>Elizabeth Ramer has been working in the web hosting industry since 1997, and enjoys building computers in her spare time.
Incorporating is the standard for many in business today because of the level of protection it provides in protecting your personal assets against the claims of creditors and lawsuits.

Starting a corporation involves filing the Articles of Incorporation (also called a Charter, Certificate of Incorporation), listing the purpose of the corporation, its principal place of business and the number and type of shares of stock.

It's important to carefully consider the type of business entity that is right for you. You may feel an LLC is more suitable for you because it is often a more flexible form of ownership, especially suitable for smaller companies with a limited number of owners.

Yet there are important legal benefits to incorporating your business. The primary benefit is the safeguarding of personal assets against the claims of creditors and lawsuits. Individual proprietors and general partners are personally and jointly responsible for all the liabilities of a business such as loans, accounts payable and legal judgments.

In a corporation, however, stockholders, directors and officers typically are not liable for their company's debts and obligations. If one is personally involved in a lawsuit or bankruptcy, assets such as boats, cars and houses may be protected.

You can also easily transfer ownership of a business to someone else, either in whole or in part depending on the state. For instance, a person with a Delaware Corporation can transfer ownership of a corporation and not be required to file or record the transfer.

Another factor that makes incorporating a good decision is taxation. In the United States, corporations are taxed at a lower rate than individuals. In addition to the lower tax rates there are no limits on the amount of losses a corporation may carry forward to subsequent tax years.

Also corporations have the ability to raise funds through the sale of its own stock. You can raise capital from investors for your corporation easily through the sale of your stock. This can be crucial for expanding and developing a business.

Forming a corporation can also mean durability. Its existence is not affected by the death or absence of shareholders, directors, or officers of the corporation. In essence your corporation can exist indefinitely.

A corporation also has the ability to establish its own credit rating. Regardless of an owner's personal credit scores, corporations acquire their own credit rating, and build a separate credit history by applying for and using corporate credit.

Incorporating can be accomplished easily today in a number of ways. There are online resources where you can download incorporation forms or have a legal service complete the application process for you.

Ultimately you need to determine what your business goals are and decide if forming a corporation will work for you. Incorporating today has become a crucial step for many new business owners seeking to protect themselves and their business. <bio>To learn more about forming and LLC or Incorporating your Business go to http://www.legaldocumentfinder.com.
In a very few years that Internet has been exiting, it has fast become a virtual shopping site where everything from the most common to the hard to find items can be found. Incorporation services are one. Most businesses choose to incorporate because of the benefits that can be derived from it.

Not long ago, only big businesses were incorporated. These businesses can provide the best compensation packages and benefits that are near to impossible in smaller establishments that are not incorporated.

During the middle half of the 1900's, other smaller businesses started picking up the idea. One of the reasons that incorporated businesses enjoy is tax exemption and tax holidays that translate into big savings that can be used as additional capital.

During the 70's the reason to incorporate even small businesses had been so attractive that small businesses started to incorporate. Later however, congress started curtailing the benefits that the big corporations are enjoying that today, even small organizations can start having additional fringe benefits. This resulted in smaller entities having parity with big corporations in terms of tax deductible benefits without being incorporated.

While parity has been achieved, there are still many reasons for incorporating.

One is image. A good title like President or the CEO of a corporation can command respect among clients. Clients would normally prefer to talk with the top executives of a company than any other person with a non-corporate title to back him up.

Another is the protection of a corporation when buying services. To soften the exposure of the company, many are now requiring independent contractors to incorporate themselves before their services are accepted.

An incorporated business has a wide range of powers. It has its own legal personality separate from its stockholders, owners and investors that is mandated and protected by state laws. It can Enter into contracts and buy and sell properties and goods subject to lawful transactions.

When legal problems arise, anyone from the company can represent the corporation in behalf of the company.

An incorporated company is liable for its own debts. The directors, shareholder and owners are shielded from the company's debt and can not be sued in behalf of the company. The company will have to bear the burden of is own debts from its own resources except in cases when an individual guarantees the corporate debt or as mandated by the court.

Corporations are granted a separate personality that it can go on even after the death of the owner and the shareholders.

In short, there is money to be saved privileges to be enjoyed when an entity is incorporated.

While books have been written whereby an individual can incorporate himself without a lawyer, the safest and surest way is still to have one. The expertise of a lawyer encompasses consideration for commercial law, laws on taxation, securities legislation, limited liability, local and national ordinances and a wealth of knowledge regarding business consideration. Furthermore, laws are being changed, proposed and amended from time to time that the law that a non-attorney is familiar with may already have been replaced.

A registered agent will be required for companies that are in the process of incorporation. They act as the representative for accepting service processes that include official government communication that are presented to the company, legal proceedings and legal notices.

Incorporation services can also provide you a registered agent when you require one.
You might have heard a little buzz in the past few years about how great gift certificates are. You might have been shopping and seen signs in every store encouraging you to get a gift certificate for everyone on your list. You might start thinking that buying only gift certificates would really make your life easier, but before that happens, let me set the record straight: do not buy a gift certificate. Don't buckle under the pressure just because everyone else is doing it.

There are probably countless reasons why you shouldn't buy a gift certificate for your family member or friend, but perhaps I can convince you wiht just a few great reasons. The biggest reason that I warn against people buying a gift certificate in place of a real gift is that a gift certificate is so impersonal. Think about it. Purchasing a gift certificate takes almost no thought or care. You simply enter almost any store there is and within minutes walk away with a gift that anyone could use. What happened to people spending time looking for the unique gift for each person on their list? What happened to actually caring about the likes and dislikes of the people you love and buying gifts for them accordingly? Everyone would rather receive a personal gift that they hate more than receiving an impersonal gift certificate that they can use. Right?

Not only is buying a gift certificate impersonal, but it is also much too easy. Everyone knows that the more time and work was put into purchasing a gift, the more the person will love and cherish it. No one values a gift that didn't cost the person time and energy to buy. Don't let yourself get sucked into the trap that says it is the thought that counts, not the gift. I beg to differ. It is the gift, and only the gift, that really counts. And if it is only the gift that counts than a gift certificate certainly won't do.

People should never substitute a real gift for a gift certificate because who doesn't have extra hours to spend shopping for something special? Nearly everyone I know could afford to make space in their schedules for a trip or two to the mall. People love nothing more than spending all of their free time shopping for gifts. No one loves the instant gratification that buying a gift certificate can bring. People love the hours of sweat and deliberation that take place during any true shopping trip.

Contrary to popular belief, people would rather not have the freedom to choose their own clothes and belongings, so the purchase of a gift certificate is giving people a freedom they would rather not have. People would much rather that their clothes, music, and home furnishings be picked out by others and simply given in wrapped packages with bows. So never think that by giving a gift certificate you are doing someone a favor.

I hope by now you've seen why giving a gift certificate is by far the worst way to go when trying to choose the perfect gift. Or at least I hope you've learned why I am out of touch and the worst possible person to give advice about where or how to shop. So, forget everything I've said. Save yourself time, money and stress of trying to shop for picky people and pick up a gift certificate for everyone on your list. <bio>Belina Storrey has learned the benefits of giving gift certificates to friends and family for almost every occasion.
Becoming incorporated is not all that complicated. There are 4 business entities that you can choose from. If you know the difference in the 4 of them, then you should not have any problems knowing which one is for you. However, here is a run down on the entities and what they are.

Doing Business As is a business entity, and also is sometimes called a sole proprietorship, or even a fictitious name. When you have a Doing Business As entity, this means that this business is not separate from you. You the owner are personally responsible for all debt, law suits, and income that comes from this entity. When there is more than one person involved in the DBA entity, that person is also legally liable, and the entity is then known as a partnership.

Regular Corporation is also a type of entity that you may be considering. When you have a corporation, the owners are not personally responsible for any of the company's debt. The regular corporation can purchase real estate, sign contracts, and can handle its own legal matters apart from the owners.

S Corporation is a entity that a corporation can form after becoming incorporated. With this status, the taxes are then changes so that it is taxed as if it were a sole proprietorship or partnership instead of a corporation.

LLC also known as Limited Liability Company is an entity that is generally the easiest and cheapest to obtain. It also provides protection for the owners, in the even that the LLC obtained debt, or were to be sued.

While becoming incorporated can be quite confusing to someone that has never owned a company before, it is all quite simple. If you are considering becoming incorporated, just be sure that you know how many people will be in it with you, what name you would like to operate under, and then you can choose which entity is best for you and your business. <bio>Find out more about Many Incorporation Entities at http://www.llc-explained.com </bio>

If you are a business owner, you of course want to do what will give it the best chance for success. That includes making it easier for you to operate your business. That is why many proprietors turn to business incorporation. Incorporating your business can be very beneficial to you and your business. However, if you are a business owner in California, you might want to think hard about the decision to incorporate there. Incorporating in California or incorporating in another state and operating your business in California can cause a business owner more headaches than need be.

Incorporation is a process that a business owner goes through in order to turn his business into a corporation. There are many federal legal benefits to doing this, including having your personal assets protected from seizure in the event of legal issues, the establishment of a credit rating separate from your personal credit rating, longevity of the business, lower federal taxation, and the ability to easily transfer ownership. And depending on which state you incorporate your business in, it can be a very simple process, requiring little to no paperwork and fees, or it can be a demanding process that requires filing paperwork and paying multiple fees and taxes. Such is the case when incorporating in California.

Incorporating in California can prove challenging due to its strict regulations and daunting taxation issues. Many businesses choose to incorporate in neighboring states where the regulations are more relaxed, in order to avoid this trouble. However, this can lead to a whole host of problems if care is not taken (and extra expense laid out) to make sure that the state of California is in the loop.

The state of California is notoriously strict when it comes to where your business is operating. If you are running your business with an office facility and you employ staff members (even if it is out of your home) in California, then the state of California considers your business a California business, no matter where you are incorporated. The state will claim jurisdiction (authority over your business), because the day-to-day operations are there. Even if you do incorporate your business someplace other than California, you are required to register with the state of California and pay the required taxes.

Therefore, the question might be, why not just look into incorporating in California, rather than getting hit with two sets of fees and taxes by incorporating in another state while operating out of California?

You might think that you can fly under the radar and conduct your business operations in California without going through the proper notification, while being incorporated in another state. You will eventually be caught, though, and you will be subject to steep fines, back fees and taxes, in addition to having your business audited (which will close down the shop temporarily). It won't be a good situation for you or your business to be in.

It is possible to get around incorporating in California. You can incorporate in another state, while operating business there AND in California. Because it is such a harsh atmosphere for business, incorporating in California and doing business there is not as easy as it is in other states. Unfortunately, unless you can move to another state to operate your business there, you will have to go through the rigors that businesses in California are subject to.
Birth certificates contain much valuable information, including personal identifying data; data about the mother and, if possible, the father; the date, place, and manner of birth; and the birth weight. The infant's position in birth order among his or her siblings, and information about other biological facts, such as race or ethnicity, is recorded in some jurisdictions.

Most hospitals in the U.S. issue a souvenir birth certificate, which typically includes the footprints of the newborn. However, these birth certificates are not legally accepted as proof of age or citizenship, and are frequently rejected by the Bureau of Consular Affairs when included with passport applications. Many Americans believe these souvenir records to be their official birth certificate, when in reality it holds little legal value.

As an American you have a right to birth record certificates for you and certain members of your family. In most states, birth certificates are issued only to the persons named on the certificate, which would usually be you and your parents. There are some seventy seven million birth certificates available online.

Parents need a record of the birth of their children in order to obtain child benefits, tax credits and as proof of age of minors (under age 18). Avoid waiting until the last minute to start replacing a lost or damaged birth certificate. While the online services provide a rapid and inexpensive service for replacing birth certificates, there are some instances when more information might be needed. Birth certificates should be kept along with your other valuable documents in a safe place, preferably in a safe deposit box.

A Birth Certificate is one of life's most important documents; this is a list of the most common reasons why you might want to obtain and keep a copy of your Birth Certificate.

=B7 Enroll child in school. =B7 Get sports All-star signed up for another season. =B7 Passport Application. =B7 Get a Social Security Card. =B7 Get Public assistance =B7 Get Social Security benefits. =B7 Adopted but want an original copy. =B7 Genealogy work. =B7 Reunite families. =B7 Need specific information found on the certificate. =B7 Adopted in the U.S. but born outside the U.S. =B7 Identification for minors. =B7 Marriage License =B7 Perinatal mortality rates =B7 Academic and examination purposes =B7 Replace a lost Birth Certificate =B7 Insurance Application

Birth Certificates are critical pieces of information that play crucial roles in some of life's most important events.

There are several Internet sites that offer rapid, secure, inexpensive services for getting your birth certificate in just a few days. Birth Certificates should be state issued, and appropriate for legal matters. Some states have raised seals, and some have stamped seals. Some states offer both certified and non-certified copies. Be sure to specify exactly the type of birth certificate you need when ordering from one of the Internet services.

Note: Some states, require a signed release before a replacement certificate can be issued.
An energy performance certificate, while spouting the theme of energy efficiency and clean air for all, is not welcomed by all of its United Kingdom population. Some view it as a costly Big Brother piece of legislation, although most of these haranguers sincerely believe in renewable energy as a beneficial concept. They just dont like being dictated to.

June 14, 2006 was the birth of the energy performance certificate in the United Kingdom, first for residential homes for single family dwellings and later to be demanded of property managers and owners of residential rental property as well. There has yet been no talk on legislating commercial building construction or current commercial buildings.

Yvette Cooper, the UK Housing and Planning Minister signed and announced the energy performance certificate bill. Cooper talked about the upcoming regulation on Home Information Packs HIPs and their need for an energy performance certificate EPC to be included as part of the packet. The energy performance certificate will now rank the homes energy use from good =96 a rank of A =96 down to absolutely dreadful =96 a rank of G.

One UK resident wrote on the Internet about his objection to another European directive comparable to rating washers and dryers, a practice he clearly abhorred. England and Wales are the areas of the UK mandated to adopt the regulations first, although by 2009 all homes for sale in the European Union EU will be required to have an energy performance certificate.

This dismayed UK resident says that, while this might seem like a great idea in principle, he has his doubts the actual practice will produce such terrific results. His concern is that the detailed calculation of energy use is time consuming and highly complex. While it might perhaps make sense for a brand new home, he said, it seems pointless for a home already built.

Here are his points.

The first objection he has to this energy performance certificate for existing homes is that the energy assessor would need to know how the house was built or how would she or he know what the construction is made of. How, for instance, could the energy assessor determine if any cavities were insulated if there were no visual clues. The visual clues, he pointed out, arent always there. It might be, he points out, that the homeowner might not know about any construction or construction deficiency, or might actually lie about it in order to obtain the needed energy performance certificate.

There really is no way to sensibly check without taking the house apart. How might the energy assessor know how well the heater and water heater work What if its hot outside and the air conditioning on How well could the assessor evaluate the efficiency of the heating unit, or even tell if its in good running order These are just some of the problems inherent in obtaining an energy performance certificate and the evaluation by an outsider on whether the home meets the criteria for the certification.

Evaluation for an energy performance certificate clearly isnt an easy process. <bio>James Copper is a writer for http://www.propertycareerskills.co.uk </bio>

Do you remember when you got your diploma? We altogether can appreciate what they are. It's that piece of paper you received when you graduated from a premium classroom or facility that is probably packed in the vicinity of your parent's addict. So if you never borrow or demand your pricey classroom diploma, do Tim and Lisa require one when they finish their homeschool course of study?

It is a very good suspicion, and you are not the only parent wondering what to do practically when you find yourself in this decision struggle. Remember when you went to interview for your initial job? Did they ask you for your diploma? No, as that is very unusual in the workplace environment. Nonetheless they did ask you for your transcript. This is a good thing to remember, a certificate is just a physical representation of your children's intellectual acquirement, and nonetheless it's the stories of their course of study that needs to be kept historical in a transcript format.

Although, a certificate still has some stress. In one and only way, it holds value for you and for your child. So he or she can appreciate that their achievement is valued and so he or she can be praised for the years of their hard work and determination. Also, there are accrediting agencies that lay out some daily satisfactory values you must fulfill and they will accredit your diploma.
