There are many weddings that are held outside of traditional religious facilities, including out-of-doors, in large houses, courtrooms, and location weddings. These areas can offer a great, unique occasion that shows off a bit of your personality and style as well as giving your guests a fun time to remember.

Nothing is nicer than having an outdoor wedding, if the weather cooperates. This is never a guarantee, however, and people planning to have an outdoor wedding should have a backup facility in case of nasty weather. Very clear directions need to be given on the invitation to guide guests to the ceremony, and these directions should be tested prior to sending out the invitations by someone unfamiliar with the area or someone who is not told where the ceremony will actually be, and instead follows the directions without the destination in mind. There should also be information on where the ceremony will be held in the event that the ceremony needs to be moved indoors due to weather.

An outdoor ceremony should take place in an area where there is abundant shade. The wedding party will be standing up for the entire emotional proceedings, and heat will take its toll. Too much heat will also be detrimental to any older guests attending the ceremony. Remember as well that you will have to arrange for a seating, a sound system, and decorations to be provided at the outdoor location, so a dry run will be important to determine needs as far as electrical cords and seat placement.

Large houses can be an ideal place for a non-traditional wedding ceremony, so long as you are ensured of adequate space. Courtroom weddings are rarely affairs in which a large number of guests will take part, but you will want to ensure that there is available seating for those who do wish to attend.

Location weddings are a great and memorable way to hold your special day, if they fit within your budget. Location weddings can also offer some opportunities in terms of convenience as they offer the opportunity to be held right at the location of your honeymoon. They can also be a very special part of the occasion, as most of the time you will not be able to spend time with the friends and family who attend your wedding. A location wedding allows for the entire party to be together over a period of several days, with lots of time to visit. Remember that you may have to make an additional trip to have final approval over the ceremony venue. You will also want to make sure there are very clear directions to the venue's location on the invitations.

For some originality, why not consider a les traditional venue for your wedding ceremony? These suggestions are all ideal for smaller weddings and might even save you some money in the long run! <bio>Porche Reingold maintains a website for helping people plan their dream weddings.
There are many benefits to having your own custom wedding website. First, a web page for your big day helps you with your planning. The right website will give you checklists, address books, RSVP options, and other features that help to consolidate your planning details into one location. From your website, you should be able to give your guests directions to your ceremony location, answer frequently asked questions, and send e-mails to bridal/groom party members, family, and friends.

Another advantage of having your own web page for your ceremony is the ability to share your memories with those you are closest to. You can share photos of your engagement location, tell the story of how he/she proposed, and post video of the ceremony for those who could not attend. A custom wedding website allows you to do all of these things so that your guests and family stay connected to your plans.

Without a web page for your ceremony, you are likely to be bombarded with phone calls from those attending your ceremony. They will want to know where they should book their hotel room, how to get to your church, what they should wear, and whether or not they can change their meal choice. As a bride- and groom-to-be, you two have enough to worry about without dealing with these incessant phone calls. Creating your own website allows you to avoid these questions without being disrespectful to those you hold dear.

Building your website allows you to share more than just your ceremony. You can keep your site running long after the ceremony to share your honeymoon and newlywed memories with those you love. Everyone can share these timeless memories with you, through digital photo albums.

With a custom wedding website, your guests will not have to worry about losing your invitation, maps, or RSVP cards. Even if your guests accidentally misplace the important information, your guests will find all the details they need on your web page. This saves you hassle and frustration as your event date approaches.

Perhaps your big event involves guests who do not know you well. Maybe your fianc=E9's friends have never met you. You can include a section on your web page that tells your guests a little more about you. This gives them the chance to get to know you before attending your big event. Also, you can show your loved ones what the two of you are like as a couple. Some couples find that including an "About Me" section that profiles their bridal/groom party members helps break the ice for those who do not know each other prior to the ceremony.

WedShare has different templates that allow clients to create their own custom wedding website. With multiple pre-designed templates that are easy to customize, you can create your web page quickly and simply. Clients are provided with checklists and how-to guides to keep their planning on track, as well as the interactive features needed to keep everyone up to date with the plans.
Are you conscious of how much time should be save for your wedding portraits? For your photographer to do a good job, it perhaps more than you realize.

Usually, the photographs will begin at the Bride's home before the ceremony. Here the photographer will take portraits of the Bride, her family and the bridal party. It is vital that your hair and make-up appointment is planned early enough so that you begin your photographs on time. Hair and makeup should be finished a minimum of one hour before you are planned to begin photographs. Allow time for travel, dressing and finding that lost pair of earrings.

Most expert photographers will want two to three hours of shooting time before the ceremony. Ensure your flowers are ready and everybody is dressed. This gives you time to enjoy the photographic session, have a couple of breaks and get to the church on time.

It doesn't seem to subject how long your ceremony is planned for - you will be at the church for about an hour. Longer if you're having a receiving line after the ceremony. If the ceremony is scheduled to end at3:30pm, do not schedule your photographs at3:35pm. Take into account the travel time from the church to your location. Your participants will not arrive all at once either. You may want to assign a brother, sister or wedding party member to systematize your families and get them to the photo location on time and all together.

The family groups are generally photographed after the ceremony. This includes the families of both the Bride and Groom, the whole wedding party and, of course, the Bride and Groom alone. If your family groups are being photographed indoors but not in a studio, you may need to allow the photographer time to set up lighting apparatus and arrange props. Outdoors settings are generally no problem and the photo session can begin right away. These portraits generally go quickly (unless a family member is missing). The one to two hours for your family groups will fly by and will depend on the size of your families, whether there are children involved, and the size of your wedding party. This does not include travel time to the location or travel to the reception afterwards.

You may save money by having your photographer photograph your cake cutting, first dance, toasting portrait and other reception-type photographs previous to the reception, rather than when these events really occur. By this time you will be tired of photographs and will want to enjoy your evening and be with your guests. The usual reception photographs will take almost one-half hour if done this way.

Keep in mind that if you have any particular requests, such as an extra location for some portraits of the Bride and Groom, to allow extra time for travel, set up and shooting. If you allow your photographer the time to do their job, you will have a good experience and photographs to last a lifetime. <bio>Rafi Michael Babylon Productions Wedding Center ( http://www.VideoBabylon.ca ) One Stop Shopping For Your Wedding Needs ( leave it to us ) Babylon where photography becomes art Video - Photography - Disc Jockey Wedding Website - Limousines Service. </bio>

Planning a wedding ceremony is a huge and nerve wracking task even for the most calm and collected bride-to-be. In order to maintain sanity while you try to plan every detail of what may just be the most memorable day of your life, you need to focus not just on the details of your wedding, but also on the state of your well-being.

You don't want to get to your perfectly planned wedding day and find out that you are a stressed out mess. So while you plan for your wedding ceremony, also keep the following suggestions in mind that just might help keep a bride calm and cool until the big day.

Wedding Ceremony Tip #1 - Hit the Gym

Keeping up a regular exercise program prior to your wedding ceremony will not only insure that you look stunning in your wedding dress, but will also give you amazing stress relief. A great cardio, Pilates or yoga workout is a terrific way to clear your mind and get those creative juices flowing as you work out every detail of the wedding ceremony; from flower arrangements to seating arrangements.

Wedding Ceremony Tip #2 - Relax With Your Favorite Music

A great way to relieve the stress of planning your wedding ceremony is to listen to music. A terrific way to settle down when you are feeling wedding pressure building up is to play some great music. You might even give yourself the energy to finish up the planning and paperwork regarding invitations if you listen to music that reminds you of those first few dates with your husband-to-be.

Wedding Ceremony Tip #3 - Spoil Yourself at the Spa

Stress does nasty things to the skin. Pamper yourself at the spa with a relaxing facial, and get those hands and feet primped for the big day. A facial will not only make your skin look terrific for your wedding ceremony, it is also an awesome way to relax.

Wedding Ceremony Tip #4 - Make Time for Your Friends

When it feels like wedding ceremony preparations are about to make you snap it is probably the perfect time to put a pause on the planning and spend a little time with your friends. Go for coffee, or a glass of wine, or even a chocolate sundae. Spending time catching up and laughing with good friends is an excellent way to relieve wedding ceremony stress.

Wedding Ceremony Tip # - Consider Canning the Wedding Ceremony and=85 Eloping!

If all of the planning for your wedding ceremony still has you stressed out and miserable, perhaps a traditional wedding ceremony is not your style. Consider the possibility of canning all of the pomp and circumstance and settling for a much simpler wedding. All that is really required for a wedding is a bride and groom, a couple of witnesses, and an officiator.

Although eloping takes away the formality of a wedding ceremony, it also eliminates the stress. But regardless of how lavish you decide to make your wedding ceremony, remember to spend time mentally preparing yourself for this commitment, and allowing yourself to fully enjoy your wedding day. <bio>To learn exactly how I plan weddings, visit http://www.officialweddinginfo.com/ where you'll get help planning a wedding and much more. </bio>

When planning your wedding ceremony music, a common questions wedding planners receive is, "How many songs to be performed during the ceremony and where should they go?" There are no hard set rules and there is no wrong way to do it. The following is a useful set of guidelines you can use while planning your wedding reception music.

Prelude -- music performed prior to the beginning of the wedding ceremony, while arriving guests are being seated. For the prelude, you may select a pianist a guitar player or a string quartet. The music played in the prelude is more often than not instrumental.

Common classical songs include:

"Air on a G String" by Bach "Ave Verum Corpus" by Mozart "Water Music (Air)" by Handel "Serenade" by Schubert

Processional -- music performed while the wedding party enters the wedding ceremony site. The processional is meant to announce your arrival. The guests will stand as you make your way toward the center point.

Common processional pieces are:

"Canon in D" by Pachelbel "Concerto in D Major" by Vivaldi

"Trumpet Voluntary" by Clarke "Wedding March" by Mozart

Ceremony -- music performed for the duration of the ceremony.

Songs frequently used are:

"Coronation March" by Walton "Ode to Joy" by Beethoven "Trumpet Tune in C" by Purcell "Triumphal March" by Grieg

Recessional -- music performed as the wedding party leaves the ceremony site. For many, this part of the ceremony is considered the most exciting. You're husband and wife. All your ceremony guest will stand as you make your way out of the gathering place.

There are many choices for this music and some songs include:

"Brandenberg Concerto No. 4" by Bach "Exsulate, Jubilate" by Mozart "Rigaudon" by Campra "The Four Seasons" by Vivaldi

Postlude -- music performed as the guests exit the ceremony site, which is normally the same music played during the prelude.

Regardless of what music you choose, be sure they can be performed by a traditional musical instrument such as piano, organ, guitar, or flute or harp. <bio>George Meszaros with http://www.sweet-reflections.com </bio>

Planning a wedding is no easy task, to say the least. In fact, some will go as far as to say that a wedding is the most stressful event to plan. While deciding on a location for the ceremony and reception is a major part of planning the wedding, it's the smaller details that contribute to the stress of wedding planning. Some of these details include finding the perfect wedding gown, bridal jewelry, wedding favors, and decorations. Another detail that a bride, along with her wedding coordinator, must decide on is how to arrange the bridal party during the ceremony.

Traditionally, the bride and groom will turn their backs toward the audience while the officiant faces the audiences. Some will argue that this arrangement makes it difficult for the guests to get the full effect of the bride's wedding dress and bridal jewelry. It is believed that the bride's attire is the focal point of the entire wedding ceremony. This being said, it is important that the wedding coordinator choose an appropriate arrangement for the bride and groom as well as the other members of the bridal party.

However, before the arrangement of the bridal is settled upon, the task of determining what the bride and her bridesmaids are going to wear for their wedding attire should be completed. As obvious as it may seem, many individuals do not realize that bridal attire plays an important factor in where the wedding will take place, what decorations to choose, and how to arrange the bridal party during the ceremony. While bridal jewelry may not affect the bridesmaids' position during the wedding ceremony, their dress and choice of shoes may. This is attributed to the fact that many brides choose to arrange their bridesmaids and groomsmen according to their height as well as the role that they play during the wedding ceremony.

Quite often, the maid of honor is given the privilege of wearing a slightly different dress and set of bridal jewelry from the other bridesmaids. Her dress usually varies in style or in color and her bridal jewelry may be a little more elaborate than the other bridesmaids'. Because the maid of honor and best man play an exceptional role in the bride and groom's lives, they have a stationary position in the wedding ceremony. Traditionally, the maid of honor and the best man stand next to the bride and groom, respectively, during the ceremony.

As for the other bridesmaids and groomsmen, they are usually paired together according to height for the sake of balance. On occasion, a husband and wife team may request that they walk down the aisle together and in such a case they are paired together for this reason. Depending on the size of the bridal party, the bridesmaids may stand to the left of the bride while the groomsmen stand to the right of the groom (assuming that the bride and groom's backs are toward the audience). In other cases, the wedding coordinator may choose to allow each pair to stand together. Half of the couples will stand to the left of the bride while the other half stand to the right of the groom.

There is no set rule as to how the bridal party should be arranged during the ceremony. For most brides, it's simply a matter of preference. <bio>Michelle writes about weddings and jewelry for hyyp://www.silverlandjewelry.com </bio>

The location of the wedding ceremony site is very important and symbolic. Being married in a childhood home, for example, can show the importance that you place on family. You can honor your religion by being married in a house of worship. If nature is important to you, being married outdoors can be a meaningful experience. Whatever you choose, there are several elements that need to be present. .

If you are planning on holding your wedding ceremony outside, one of the most important things to look for is an alternative plan in the event of poor weather. When a ceremony site is in a busy area, find out how noise will be masked. Sirens, leaf blowers, weed eaters, and trains can all be very disruptive.

Find out what services are available at the ceremony site. It may be that the site contracts with musicians, soloists, caterers, etc. You may be able to get a discount on these services by going through the ceremony site rather than out on your own. Just be sure to check references.

Make sure to ask about the site's time policy. You must be able to have access to your site before and after the ceremony for set-up and take-down. If you don't have adequate time (two hours before, one hour after), you will be in too much of a rush to enjoy your day. You will also need access for a rehearsal of some sort before the day of the wedding.

You will need to ask about the site's policies on open flames (in case you want to light a unity candle), photography, videography, bird seed (or rice, petals, etc), and alcohol (in case you want to have communion). Also, find out if you will need to clean the site or if there is a janitor. If there is a janitor, how much will you need to pay him or her?

Make sure that you have a contact name, address, and number for the ceremony site. If possible, obtain a cell phone number as well. If an emergency of sorts arises on the day of the ceremony, it will be necessary to have a means of contacting a representative of the site.

If you are in charge of the sound system, make sure you know how it works. Even better, have the person who will run the sound system make an appointment with the contact person so that he/she will have first-hand information.

Finally, find out about parking. If you are being married at home, where will everyone park? Will they park in a municipal parking building and take buses? Will they park in neighbors' yards? Rest rooms can also be an issue if you are being married at home. Make sure you have adequate facilities for the number of guests you have.

In conclusion, thoroughly checking into your wedding ceremony site will pay huge dividends in the end. Visit www.bridalblog.info for more information. You will have so many fewer things to worry about if you take the time to get to know your site and the people with whom you will be working.

Pepper Montero <bio>Pepper and her husband run a wedding coordination business in the Upstate of South Carolina.
Planning a ceremony where two or more people join together in holy matrimony is an important part of anyone's life. Most commonly, people want to commemorate this occasion with a grand ceremony where friends and family join together to celebrate this special time. If you want something a bit different, you may find that a Cancun wedding is just the right location for you and your needs.

Of course, planning a Cancun wedding can be tedious and time consuming if you go at it alone. Having friends to help or even a concierge for your needs will insure you have that helping hand you need to relax while someone else shoulders some of the responsibility for your special day.

More and more parents are even choosing to throw a Cancun wedding for their children and their child's significant other. Why choose this exhilarating location for your own ceremony? Take a look at a few details you may want to ponder when choosing this beachfront, exotic destination!

Consider the location... Mexico is a gorgeous location where the economy is strong and the dollar goes a long way. Having pesos on hand will be a must for those businesses not accepting the dollar though. A Cancun wedding will give you the ocean at your doorstep. Private villas are going to offer a personal home away from home where anything is possible for the entire ceremony or just for the honeymoon.

Consider the food... One enormous part of any ceremony is the reception. Catering can get expensive here in the states. Authentic Mexican food is scrumptious, and there is no better way to get authentic Mexican food at dirt cheap prices. You will get the chance to choose the best in foods where a small fee will feed your whole guest list. In addition, you will find catering companies can help setup the furniture and tables even before you arrive.

Consider the honeymoon... What better place to have a honeymoon than on these gorgeous beaches. Explore mysterious ruins or walk hand in hand along the virgin sands. Discover the mystery in the world while discovering each other. Even the room service is specific to you and your spouse's needs. From champagne in bed to a sauna for two, you will appreciate the amenities and activities you have both indoors and outdoors.

Consider the family and friends... This is your special day. But you have friends and family to think of too. Imagine killing two birds with one stone. Take your family and friends to Mexico, and they will take home their own memories. You will be able to appreciate your honeymoon while your guest list has fun on their own. You will be remembered for the rest of their lives as the wedding of the century. The best part it does not cost an arm and a leg.

Consider the memories... If there is anything that is important to starting a marriage made in heaven it is the memories you will cherish all your life when you enjoy a Cancun wedding. Take lots of film or pack the digital camera. You will want to take plenty of those memories home. In addition, you can take some sand, shells, or even mount an ocean fish you caught while enjoying the yacht you rented for the occasion.

When it comes to a Cancun wedding, you will have the experience of a lifetime. Appreciate your special day by starting a perfect honeymoon.
If you are planning a wedding in the near future, one of the most important things is going to be the music. Music adds a special touch to any wedding ceremony and you will want to make sure that you pick out great music and have it performed by great performers as well. When you are choosing and organizing music for your wedding, you will want to choose your songs first, and then you can work on finding the musicians and DJs to perform or play the music that you have selected for your wedding.

Music Selection

Before you start worrying about musicians and DJs, you will need to decide on the songs and styles of music that you want to be in your wedding. You should consider both wedding selections for your ceremony and for your wedding reception. When choosing music for your ceremony, you will want to consider what type of wedding ceremony you are having. If you have decided to have a traditional church wedding, you may want to keep your music more conservative and in line with a formal religious wedding. On the other hand, if you are having a wedding that is not held in a religious type of setting, you will be more free to choose music that is not as conservative. If your wedding is being held in a church and you want to use secular music, make sure that the officiating minister or priest will allow it during the ceremony.

When choosing the actual songs that will be sung or played in your wedding, you will want to choose songs that have meaning to you and your fiance. Perhaps you and your fiance have a special song that is "your song." If so, you may want to include that song in your wedding. If you feel that the song is a bit too wild or contemporary for your wedding ceremony, then consider having it played or sung at the wedding reception, or you may even want to have it as the song for your very first dance. You will also want your wedding music to be unique, so steer clear of music that has been played at every other wedding you have attended. <bio>Visit http://www.soundimagedjs.com/ for a great Sacramento Wedding DJ </bio>

Wedding planning can be fun and sometimes a little overwhelming, especially when it comes to decorating. There are a lot of little things that can have a huge impact without taking a lot of time. While many facilities will take care of the decorating for you, most ceremony locations don't. They just don't have the staff or the demand to provide that kind of service, although they can sometimes offer advice as to what other couples have done in the past. Ask lots of questions and keep an open mind. The ceremony location, whether it be a church, park, or backyard, will likely be where you spend the least amount of time on your wedding day, but it's where the most important thing happens! You don't want to spend your entire decorating budget here, but you do want everything to be perfect.

There are a few different areas you can focus your attention on and some areas you may not want to get too caught up with. With some advanced planning and a little help from friends on the big day, your ceremony location can look almost as fantastic as you do.

Altar - A couple of well-placed flower arrangements close to the altar will have a huge impact to the atmosphere of your ceremony. The flowers can either match the bridal bouquets or be all white, or even an assortment of colors that complement your bridal party. When choosing these arrangements consider reusing the bouquets at the reception location after the ceremony, and what kind of arrangement will suit both venues. Also consider whether you want to use real or silk flowers. Silk arrangements can be a great fuss-free alternative and can be prepared well in advance of the wedding to minimize last minute stress. All you need on the wedding day is someone to set them up at the ceremony location and then bring them to the reception.

Entrance - A great way to welcome your guests to your ceremony is to add a special touch to the door or entrance so the mood is set as soon as they walk in. You could hang a wreath or two on the doors, put a planter with some potted flowers on either side of the door, or even put a sign on or near the door welcoming your guests with a love poem. Many couples use wedding programs as a way to introduce their bridal party to guests and to add special messages they may not have an opportunity to say out loud. Extra programs can be arranged in a decorated basket, or on a small table just as people enter. Plain baskets can be decorated with silk flowers or vines, which can also be prepared well before the wedding day.

Pews - You're likely to find conflicting advise about pew decorations. I personally think they're overrated and are often more hassle than they're worth. The traditional pew decoration is to tie or tape a tulle bow to the end of the pew. I've seen many weddings where the bows start to fall off as guests walk past and are seated, not to mention when the bride walks down the aisle with her fancy dress and train! If not secured carefully, pew bows can look more messy than festive, and no bride wants to be wearing pew bows an an extra accessory. An alternative to is to have a spray of fresh or silk flowers (securely) attached to the pew.

Those are the basics covered off. If you want to go all out with decorating, consider using an archway at the entrance or beginning of the aisle. The arch can be decorated with tulle, flowers, ribbons and/or garlands. Just make sure you and your escort can fit through it with ease.

You can also decorate the table where you and your honey will be signing the record of marriage. Try using some ribbons around the edge of the table, or a bouquet that complements any flowers you have closer to the altar.

A word about candles... they can be a great addition to a wedding ceremony, especially during evening celebrations, but think ahead before getting your heart set on them. During outdoor weddings, the slightest breeze can blow them out if they aren't properly protected. For indoor ceremonies, make sure you have the appropriate holders for them. I once attended a wedding where most of the guests paid more attention to the wax dripping onto the carpeted church floor than they did to the exchanging of vows. The couple had dozens of candles in fancy candelabras which looked great at the start of their sunset ceremony, but had melted into a big mess by the end. If you intend to use candles, check with the facility to make sure they will allow it, then ensure that the candles and the hot wax will be well-contained.

Make sure you visit the ceremony location often to make your decorating plans. You don't need to have any decorating surprises on your wedding day, so measure areas you want to decorate and plan accordingly. Also bring with you the person who will be setting up your decorations so they are comfortable with the arrangements and may notice if furniture has been unexpectedly moved. You won't likely have time to do the decorating yourself, and your sweetie will be too nervous to remember where things go and what they're supposed to look like, no matter how early he gets there. <bio>For more tips on how to decorate for your big day, visit http://www.decoratefor.com </bio>

Getting married on the beach is a dream come true for many brides and grooms. But bringing that beach wedding dream to reality takes some planning.

Beach Wedding Guests

Watching beach weddings with the ocean as your backdrop is absolutely beautiful. But it may pose extra challenges for some of your guests. Wheelchair accessibility is often limited on many beaches, and may be something you want to look into as you plan your beach wedding. You may also have some guests who will require assistance walking in the sand. Make sure your groomsmen are up to the challenge of getting everyone sat comfortably.

Make sure there are washroom facilities close to the wedding site. Ensure that they will be unlocked, clean, and stocked during your beach wedding. If the washroom amenities leave a little to be desired, you may want to bring extra supplies, and even add some fresh flowers to the bathroom.

Consider how you will feel about uninvited sunbathers crashing your beach wedding. If you get married on a public beach then your ceremony will be open to the public. If the idea of strangers watching your ceremony bothers you then you might consider renting a private beach for the ceremony.

Bring Beach Weddings - Weather Considerations

Weather is definitely a consideration when planning a beach wedding, but not something that you can control. But you can make some adjustments to better your odds of having a picture perfect beach setting. Once you have picked the beach of your choice, then select a wedding date that is during their typically dry season, and avoid the rainy season. Definitely steer clear of hurricane season. And just in case Mother Nature isn't cooperating the day of your beach wedding, have a back-up location or a tent ready in case the weather is just too nasty to say your I do's beachside.

Ocean tides need to be considered when picking a time for your beach wedding. Tides can creep up on you quickly, and you don't want ocean water soaking your guest's feet before they've announced, "You may now kiss the bride." Pick your wedding ceremony location in a section of the beach that is not affected by the tides.

Bugs are also a consideration when picking a date and a time. Mosquitoes and other flying pests come out in force at certain times of the day, and during certain seasons, depending on your beach location.

Check out your specific beach location and visit it during the time you plan to have your beach wedding. You may want to try and guess when sunset will hit, or decide if a morning wedding ceremony is more your style. Some beaches have annoying glares at certain times of the day, and others have unpleasant odors if the tide has just gone out.

Keeping to the Beach Theme=85

Make sure that the beach style is how you want to go for your wedding ceremony. Beach wedding ceremonies are typically more casual than traditional church weddings. A bride who weds on the beach usually forgoes the white gown and long train for a simple white sundress, and the groom often wears khaki's and a light colored shirt. Wedding guests at a beach wedding also dress more casual, with Hawaiian shirts and sundresses.

Wedding music for your beach wedding differs from the traditional organ music. You might go with a soloist, a ukulele, or some steel drums.

The food served at your reception can also reflect your beach wedding. Many beach wedding receptions serve seafood and fresh fruit.

You may also want to come up with creative wedding favors that go with your beach theme, like fun beach towels with your name and date on them, or margarita glasses.

Although there is a certain amount of risk in planning a beach wedding ceremony, if you make some arrangements ahead of time and are willing to take your chances, you could have a fantasy beach wedding. <bio>Planning a beach theme wedding?
When we think of weddings, we typically think of holding the ceremony in a church or other special event building. However, celebrity couples like to do things a little differently. That's why back in July 2006, Scott Adams, best known as the creator of the lovable office worker Dilbert, married his girlfriend, Shelly Miles, on a yacht in San Francisco Bay. That's not the picture most of us imagine of a wedding.

Vicars and Captains Adams and Miles had been dating for two years before they exchanged vows in front of more than 150 guests on the yacht. In fact, the yacht's captain was the one who performed the ceremony. After the couple's first kiss as man and wife, the guests were able to enjoy the reception, including dancing, on board the yacht.

But if getting married on a boat isn't interesting enough, Scott and Shelly also decided to do something unique for their honeymoon, too. They're taking a Caribbean cruise. Now, you may be saying there's nothing unique about that destination and you're right. However, Scott and Shelly are taking both of their parents and Shelly's children along with them on the cruise. Instead of viewing their honeymoon as a romantic getaway, it's become a family event! That's definitely not what most of us expect.

Great Ideas from the Sea And that brings us to what us ordinary people can learn from Scott and Shelly's wedding and honeymoon plans.

First, when you're planning the location of your wedding and/or reception, don't limit yourself to just traditional spots. There's no law that says you must get married inside of a church. There's also no law that says you have to invite hundreds of people to your ceremony or after-party. The most important part of choosing a location is what is going to make you and your spouse-to-be happy.

In the case of Scott and Shelly, that location was on board a yacht. For you, that location might be botanical garden, a museum, a beach, a hotel lobby, a zoo, or even a church.

Second, remembering your family is an important part of every wedding. While Scott and Shelly are showing how important family is to them by taking them along on the honeymoon, you can find other ways of expressing your parents' and your children's importance to you. For example, you could include your parents in the wedding party -- remember Jay McGraw, Dr. Phil McGraw's son, had his father act as his best man during his wedding ceremony. Your children could also be included either as flower girls and ring bearers or as bridesmaids and groomsmen -- depending on their age.

Special Gifts Another way to show your appreciation to your family is to purchase them a special gift. You and your spouse-to-be should work together to select the perfect gift, possibly something engraved with a message from the two of you, that your parents will treasure forever. Of course, if you don't have the funds for a pricey gift, write a poem or sing a song to them at the wedding or reception. Trust me, they'll never forget the gesture.

At the end of the day, you don't have to have your wedding on a yacht or take your whole family on a cruise in order to have a unique ceremony or to show your love for the people who helped you become the person you are today.
Organising luxury weddings in Mauritius is second nature to many of the tour operators that offer this service. Dedicated staff are on hand to assist in all the arrangements, help you choose your venue, book flights, organize the flowers, photos, wedding cake, food and drink and put together all the finishing touches for your special day.

Wedding organizers will research hotels and check for special group discounts if you are sharing your special day with family and friends. Weddings are tailor made to your requirements whilst staff at many of the islands luxury hotels will endeavour to make your day as special as you deserve.

Before you get swept away by the romance of having a wedding abroad, you will also need to consider the practicalities of getting married in Mauritius. UK residents planning to marry in Mauritius have the choice of a Civil Ceremony or a Religious Ceremony. The following checklist is designed to act as a guide to planning your luxury wedding in Mauritius and is by no means comprehensive.

=95 Before you fly out you will need to apply for a Certificate of Non-residence by sending a request to the Registrar of Civil Status at least one month before your intended wedding date. It should be sent with copies of both of your full birth certificates and a copy of the first three pages of your passports, as well as any relevant divorce/death documentation. The certificate is then issued by the Prime Minister's Office in Port Louis, so you need to allow at least 10 days for processing before your wedding date. It is worth enquiring as to any other relevant documentation that you may need on application of your Certificate of Non-residence.

=95 For a civil ceremony you must be present on the island up to 24hrs before the wedding. However it is advisable you arrive at least 3 days before to complete formalities. For religious ceremonies arrive at least 15 days prior to the ceremony and note that if you decide to have your wedding at one of the hotels you will normally be required to book a minimum stay of 7 nights.

=95 When you arrive in Mauritius you will have to visit the Civil Status Office ensure you have all your original documents with you otherwise you will not be able to collect your non-residence certificate. You must swear an affidavit before a judge in chambers in Port Louis. The Civil wedding may then be celebrated one day after the publication of your marriage banns, providing you have confirmed time and location with the Registrar. Weddings can be held Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holidays.

=95 Civil Ceremonies are conducted by a Civil Status Officer commonly at the local register office or at a location of your choice from a hotel to a secluded beach. If you opt for a wedding ceremony at a hotel check whether they guarantee only one wedding per day at the resort as do Beachcomber Hotels, so you don't have to share your special day with anyone else.

=95 Two witnesses are required to be present throughout the proceedings.

=95 Expect the ceremony to last between 20-30 minutes after which you will receive your Wedding Certificate. Clarify with the Civil Status Office to ensure that your Wedding will be registered in Mauritius and in doing so will be legal back home in the UK.

=95 If you would like a religious ceremony it is possible to have an Anglican or Catholic wedding in Mauritius. However although possible Catholic weddings are very difficult to arrange for non-Mauritians. You must first have a Civil wedding in either the UK or Mauritius, preferably in the UK. If you or your partner have been divorced it will not be possible to have a religious ceremony.

=95 If your marriage certificate is written in a foreign language you will need to ensure it is translated on your return to the UK.

For planning of luxury weddings in Mauritius you should contact the countries embassy in the UK for further information. <bio>For further information on weddings in Mauritius please visit Beachcomber Tours at http://www.beachcombertours.co.uk or call 01483 445610. </bio>

So finally you have made the decision to tie a knot with your beloved, to turn your relationship into a descent matrimonial fixture. But to caution you, there are many other important things and decisions still remaining. So gear up and start planning for your big day.

These days, weddings have in a large way become an exorbitant affair, opulent in every way. So planning and budgeting becomes a prerequisite. So final decision of how your wedding should be planned, the moolah factor has to say it all.

To plan your wedding properly, with equal weight being given to all the sections of your marriage, it is important for you to prepare a comprehensive checklist. If you want a smooth running of all your wedding processes, planning a wedding checklist is an essential task. Once you sit down to writing, you will realize that there are loads of stuff to care about, which you might have forgotten in the excitement of your wedding.

To start with the wedding planning checklist, first plan the date of your wedding. This the most important thing to consider. Select a date and a day that is the most suitable to almost everybody. After this, the next important thing that should come in your checklist is the location and then the time of that special day. Remember to discuss all these things with your partner so that it remains the choice of both of you.

By following a step by step planning format, you can make the things easier. This also makes easier for you to take care of the food and the lodging factors in one go. Because, with weddings it is always advisable to plan everything in advance. You should never keep things for the last day. For having a wonderful wedding experience, there is only one mantra. And that talks of careful and advance planning.

The various other things that you need to write on your wedding planning checklist are the name of your partner, the location where you intend to hold your ceremony, a wedding cake, marriage license, a bouquet and last but not the least a ring. All these are the important and vital elements for a memorable wedding ceremony.

So, a wedding planning checklist should have all the wedding essentials. Any overlooked crucial thing, can ruin the whole atmosphere of your wedding. Making a checklist provides you with a comfortable and an efficient way to plan your wedding, thus making your ceremony a memorable lifetime experience. <bio>The author writes about a number of different topics.
Mississauga offers a range of wedding locations from which one can choose. Some of the best Mississauga wedding locations include banquet halls, hotel grounds, mansions, and churches. When choosing Mississauga wedding locations, one should put into consideration the amenities that available in that particular venue. To book a banquet hall, one has to consider that the hall can house the number of guests invited. The hall should comfortably accommodate these guests. One has to consider where the food service will take place. Other important things to consider include space for dancing and ensuring the banquet hall is accessible to guests. Guests using Mississauga wedding transport should easily access the location.

Garden weddings are another choice for Mississauga weddings. A garden wedding is an outdoor type of wedding that present the couple with the choice of holding the wedding ceremony and reception in the same location. They may however be limited to the period that a wedding can last. Summer can be an excellent choice because it is warm and the guests do not have to worry about the elements. For one to hold a garden wedding one needs a permit that specifies the duration the wedding will take.

Mississauga wedding locations are numerous and most provide a good backdrop for wedding photos. When booking a wedding photographer, one can ask him/her for advice on locations. The location chosen has to be within the budget otherwise, the planning stage is of no consequence. When the wedding ceremony carried out in a church, it is prudent to locate the reception ceremony in a different area. For instance, hotels can be booked for wedding receptions. Hotels provide food to the guests and different hotels will offer competitive rates. Thus, it is important to book these in advance to have adequate staff members provided for the event. Hotels provide excellent services for Mississauga weddings and one is spoilt for choice when choosing one.

For most Mississauga wedding locations, ownership is private. One can hire restaurant for the reception location of their wedding. The staff is very accommodating and can create a menu suitable for the varied tastes of the guests. A restaurant offers an intimate environment since most host single wedding parties at any given time. One can hire a wedding DJ to entertain the guests. Mississauga DJ's are widely experienced and keep the guests entertained throughout the wedding festivities.

Private homes, historical mansions, and private gardens are other Mississauga wedding locations. A wedding videographer will capture the beauty of the surrounding area and the wedding pictures will be a remarkable sight. The private gardens have plenty of flowers and plants that are beautiful. To get to the historical mansions or private homes, one can use a wedding limousine. These locations can be expensive hence; one adequate planning of the budget is required before committing to any one specific location. Having a wide array of choices to choose from gives one confidence of getting good Mississauga wedding location. One should book any location months in advance, to avoid disappointment.<bio>Mississauga Weddings Wedding Photography and Video Productions Mississauga we specialize in individually tailored Wedding Photography, Videos and DVD's, offering an experienced, highly professional and affordable service. for more info vist:http://www.videobabylon.ca/Mississauga-Weddings.html</bio>

A wedding ceremony marks the beginning of a marriage, and a couple's life together. Wedding ceremonies may be a civil or religious rite that can take place anywhere - at a church, in the gardens, at the beach, or at the city hall. Modern-day weddings can now also take place in the Internet (what is known as "Online Wedding").

>From the bride's march down the aisle to the wedding reception, there are a number of wedding traditions and aspects that make a wedding ceremony special. It is important that the couple 'include' their guests and the people around them in the celebration by guiding and informing them of what is happening at any given time. This is made possible by wedding ceremony programs.

A wedding program (also called church programs, ceremony programs, or "The Order of Woship") is a personalized guidebook for the guests in a wedding. Essentially similar to that of a program at a theater play, wedding programs serve the following purposes:

They serve as a record of the wedding ceremony, providing guests with the order and details of the events that will happen in the ceremony.

They help guests understand what is happening, making them feel included.

They introduce and honor the bridal party, the sponsors, and the other people who are participating in the ceremony.

They serve as a beautiful and sentimental souvenir for everyone, which can be included in the couple's scrapbook.

While a wedding program is not a strict requirement to have, but it certainly adds a unique and personal touch to any wedding ceremony. A wedding program can also be essential in the following cases:

A wedding that is inter-cultural and no one understands the ceremony.

A wedding with a number of guests from another faith or culture.

A wedding so large that guests may not know the bridal party.

A wedding that is particularly long and time-consuming.

A wedding that involves so many people that the couple would like to thank and pay tribute to.

A wedding program is generally broken down into 3 sections, with the additional detailed information listed below:

1. Introduction

Names of the couple

Wedding date

Time and place of the service.

2. Event or Ceremony Order

Greetings

Poetry

Reading

Exchange of vows

Explanations of special religiuos rituals (such as the ring ceremony, unity candle ceremony, and pronouncement of marriage)

Titles of the ceremony music to be played (including the names of the musicians, soloists, or readers)

3. Acknowledgement or Wedding Party

Names of the members of the bridal party

Name of the priest or officiant who will perform the ceremony

Memorials, tributes or homages to someone who has passed away

Thank-you notes and dedications to the parents and to people who gave support to the couple (and to the wedding)

The couple's special message to their wedding guests

Directions to the reception

Wedding programs are usually ordered from the same printer who does the wedding invitations. Other couples, however, opt to do their wedding programs on their own - it gives a couple a chance to be more flexible and creative while saving money.

Wedding programs are one of the little details that make such a big day extra special. Ordered ready-made or done personally, a wedding program can be made unique by the expressive feelings of love and joy that it conveys. <bio>Download our excellent discount wedding planning mini-course absolutely FREE at http://www.discountweddingguide.com/ </bio>

Weddings are not like birthdays or Christmas parties that one goes to and just be who you are. These occasions are usually formal and require good manners and proper decorum from the guests. But if this is the first time that you are going to attend a wedding, here are some tips.

Before the Ceremony: <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wedding+invitations" rel="tag">Wedding Invitations

The wedding list is carefully planned by the couple, and they have allocated an amount for the wedding reception. Some wedding invitations have a "+ Guest" on it, and it is important that you honor this. Remember that the couple is only expecting those they have invited, so bringing unexpected guests is very impolite. Do not ask the couple if you can bring a date. You are only going to make the couple uncomfortable.

Reply to the invitation promptly. As some wedding invitations have a reply card attached to it, send it back to the couple and state if you are bringing a date (if the card says that you can bring one). They will be finalizing their wedding lists based on how many guests confirmed that they will be attending.

If you are going to cancel, make sure that you inform the couple as soon as possible.

During the Ceremony: Wedding Proper

Be sure that you arrive on time. If the invitation states that the ceremony will start at 6 p.m., make sure that you are there a quarter to 6. You have some time to find yourself and your date a seat, and you also have some time to mingle with other guests.

Do not take photographs when the ceremony is going on. They have professional photographers and videographers to do that. You will only be disrupting the ceremony. Weddings are solemn events, and you should respect that.

If you have a gift for the couple, you can give it to them before the wedding. You would spare yourself from lugging your gift around and spare the couple having to worry who will bring the gifts home. It is also all right to give gifts after the wedding in the event that you were not able to go to the ceremony.

Weddings are like reunions. You will see people you have not seen for months or even years, and you are excited to catch up on things. Do not do this during the ceremony. Respect the sacredness of the occasion and respect the couple's wish for a solemn ceremony. You have ample time to do this at the reception.

After the Ceremony: Wedding Reception

Some weddings have a buffet arrangement during the reception instead of the usual formal dinner where the food is already served on the table. If it is a buffet, keep in mind that it is not an eat-all-you can event. There are other guests who have not yet been served. If you want a second serving, you can always go back after all guests have taken their share.

As there will be wine and liquor during the reception, keep in mind that nobody wants to see a drunken guest! <bio>Eric Hartwell invites you to discuss and read on wedding and associated topics at http://theworldsbesthomepage.com/blog/category/society/relationships/marria= ges </bio>

Years later after your wedding ceremony the most vital remembrance you will have of that day will be your photographic album. What can you do to set up your wedding photography so that the whole photo shoot and dealing with the photographer will be like a piece of cake -- in this case lay your wedding? Just like all the other planning on your wedding day -- it should be smooth sailing with no small details left to chance.

The first question may well be which photographer. The answer is -- one with a good reputation -- used by someone else you know. Next the cost of the photographer's services should be within a reasonable percentage of your wedding day budget. The next questions are fairly basic -- how many photos, how many vantages or viewpoints of the shots, will you get to see and / or keep the proofs. How much for the extra prints. Lastly how many other photographic events will the photographer have on that day? You want the photographer to arrive on time and as well not be rushed.

You may well run into the question of whether it is fair and acceptable protocol to take pictures ahead of the wedding ceremony. Some care. Some in your family or that of your spouse is reminded of superstition and bad omens. In the end it's what you, your spouse and your family are comfortable with. In the end if you can take of the load off ahead of time, by photographing a number of the key shots and events before the actual ceremony your life, and wedding day, will be a lot easier with less hassle - the photographer does not have to rush around getting all the shots on your list before hungry guests get upset. As well the crowd does not have to wait through the tedious task of getting all the photos and all the pictures "just right".

If taking photos ahead of the ceremony is not the preference of yourself or the family then again plan ahead to make your wedding day more hassle free, Arrange, ahead of time, to take as many of the pictures as possible before the ceremony, without the groom. This way you will be able to get some of the major work out the way before events get rushed and busy. For example the basic photos of the bride alone can be shot, then photos taken of the bride with her family and with her attendants can done and take care of. It's possible that even photos of the groom and his family can be taken at that point as well

When the time does arrive of the actual reception, in order to have the whole photo shoot run like clockwork, ensure that everyone and everything are in their correct places and any supporting materials or backdrops be available at that time as well. This way the photo shoot will go as quickly and as seamlessly as humanely possible.

What of the location of the photo shoot? Basically it is anywhere you like and anywhere where a nice picture can be taken. In some cases it may not be the most scenic choice -- yet the view or location means a great deal to either one or both of spouses or their families some couples will opt to take their formal wedding photos at a location other than the reception site itself.

It is amazing the venues that are available for wedding photos -- if one only thinks or asks. Many parks, along with the most tended too gardens are often available for formal photo taking. It often only a case of phoning ahead or visiting ahead of time to ask. Many locations consider this to be a major compliment of their professional efforts of their grounds keeping. In addition the hotel or banquet areas that you are renting often provide excellent backdrops. Of course there are many fine examples of excellent and exceptional places to host photo shoots Think of beaches , gardens , forest areas , golf courses etc etc etc. Different locations may have different appeals at different times of the year and in different seasons.

Remember though that if you do plan to take your photo shoot "on the road", remember that your wedding reception guests will have to wait even longer than usual, on the wedding day for you to arrive at the reception. Plan of course to make the photo shoot as close to the wedding banquet venue and location, and for places, times and people to be as simple and as straightforward as possible. It's all as simple as that.

Above all take time to remember and note that it's your wedding day and "Your Day in the Sun".<bio>Morris E. R.J.
Couples of mixed religions or who come from families that do not have a strong religious background may choose to have either a non-denominational wedding or a wedding that blends two separate religions. This can be tricky however because many religions may not honor or recognize a wedding unless it is performed according to their own unique guidelines. For this reason it is very important to check with potential officiants and church leaders to ensure that your wedding plans will result in a union that is recognized by both churches. This is significant because you would not want to invest time and money on a marriage that will wind up not being recognized by the church and possibly not even recognized by the government. Whether a couple decides to have a non-denominational wedding, incorporate aspects of both religion into a ceremony that will not be recognized by either faith or participate in two separate religious ceremonies, it is important to remember that their love for each other and their love of their faith are equally important.

If both the bride and the groom have very strong faith backgrounds and wish to have their wedding recognized by their respective churches, they may have to take a few extra steps to ensure that their union is recognized by their churches. Sometimes the only way to do this is to have a wedding ceremony in both churches. This may seem like an unnecessary step but one of the defining criteria of having your marriage recognized by your faith, for many religions, is to have your wedding ceremony in the church. It is simply not possible to do this unless the couple takes the extra steps of having two wedding ceremonies to ensure that they will be both be accepted as a married couple into their faiths.

Another alternative to participating in two separate ceremonies in order to have the union recognized by both churches is to have a non-denominational wedding that is only recognized by the government. Couples may choose this option if they do not have the time or money that would be required to have two separate wedding ceremonies. A couple may choose a compromise that results in neither church recognizing the union. The theory behind this type of choice is that the couple decides that their love for each other is strong enough to survive and that they do not need to have the approval of their churches in order to have a successful and lasting marriage.

Still another alternative is to have a non-denominational wedding ceremony at a location in a natural setting. At this type of ceremony the couple has no restrictions and can choose to incorporate either religion into the ceremony in any way that they see fit. They may do this by using traditional prayers and religious songs during the ceremony. While this type of ceremony will not be recognized by the church is does offer the couple the opportunity to incorporate some of the religious traditions of both of their faiths into a beautiful ceremony that successfully blends two religions.

A final alternative is to incorporate one faith fully into the wedding ceremony and incorporate the other faith fully into the wedding reception. This option results in the marriage being recognized by one of the religions but does not allow the other family to feel neglected because their faith is well represented in the traditional activities of the wedding reception. This option is only feasible if the member of the couple who will not have their church recognize the union, is completely accepting and understand of this fact. This is important because the resentment and jealousy that could result from this could be very detrimental to the couple.

Inter-faith couples are on the rise. Years ago it was unheard of to marry someone outside of your faith but this is no longer true and many couples today are inter-faith couples. It is difficult but not impossible to integrate the two faiths in a way that is satisfactory to all of those involved. While the faiths can be blended to create a beautiful wedding, the problem is that many churches will not accept this blended wedding as a union. Sometimes the couple decides that their happiness together is more important than having the church recognize the union so they opt for a non-denominational wedding that is completely devoid of any religious traditions. <bio>Ex-Wedding Planner Assistant Reveals How Anyone Getting Married Can Put At Least $2474.11 Back Into Their Pockets...
