There are coaches in each and every type of sport out there, and many of them are good at what they do. Many of these coaches have won a lot of games, and one of them is Dean Smith. He has coached for the North Carolina Tar heels for thirty-two years, and has won 869 games in his lustrous career. Dean Smith took his teams to NCAA playoffs for seventy-seven simultaneous years, and the final four as well. He also scored several sweet sixteen appearances.

Dean Smith has coached many college basketball players during his career: James Worthy, Michael Jordan, Sam Perkins, and the list goes on and on. Many people also say that Dean Smith is a very nice person, outside basketball.

Coach Smith had won more games than Adolph Ruff, another NCAA basketball coach. Ruff has won 866 games while he coached, and like it was stated earlier, Smith has won 869.There are no coaches that have won more games, although Bob Knight won 1869, the same amount as Dean Smith. Bob Knight will probably be the coach who wins the most games ever. Many people do not like Bob Knight, but he is a pretty good coach. He has never had any problems recruiting players, so in other words, he does things the right way. He also believes in discipline as well, which is why people keep sending their sons to the school where Bob Knight currently coaches. Bob Knight, Dean Smith, and Adolph Ruff are the best NCAA basketball coaches that there ever were.

Many people think that being a college basketball coach is easier than being a player, but that is not necessarily true. Coaches are under a great deal of pressure to recruit good players, train them well, as well as to win as many games as possible. If their team loses a game for some reason, it reflects, not only on the team, but on the coach as well. So as people can see, things aren't always peaches and cream for coaches. They must work just as hard, or even harder than the players do. They don't simply stand around and tell their players what to do--there is a lot that a coach is responsible for taking care of. <bio>Stacey Day writes about FansEdge Coupons, NFL Coupons code and http://www.ncaagearshop.com </bio>

Today there is a growing knowledge of the term business coach. Not many years back, very few people were familiar with the term or exactly what one did. More familiarity was in terms such as business advisors and business consultants. Even though these terms are often put in the same category as coaching, they are not the same.

When you think of a coach what comes to mind? Is it a sports coach? There is soccer, football, softball, baseball, basketball, to name a few. Professional sports people are very familiar with the benefits of coaching. Most today have one on staff or seek out guidance from time to time.

What are some benefits of hiring a coach?

Coaches through encouragement and accountability get their players or clients to work harder for peak performance.

Coaches enhance performance through more effective methods or skills they learned or figured out for themselves.

Coaches offer realistic assessment of where you are and how to improve.

Coaches help to identify personal strengths and weaknesses and help you focus on what you do best.

Coaches help to brainstorm ideas for needed changes and help plan how to make the change.

There are a variety of coaches for all areas of your life. There are life coaches, organizational coaches, business coaches, sport coaches, executive coaches, career coaches; you name it and you can probably find a coach to suit your needs. The greatest commonality with all of these types are their ultimate goal is to help you reach the greatest potential in the area of focus.

The most successful people today either have had a coach or a mentor in their life. Having someone to guide you in the direction of your goals and give guidance for success is one of the greatest things a person can do for themselves.

When trying to find the appropriate coach for you, determine what it is the outcome you hope to achieve. As you contact the sources you have identified, ask them about their past experience in working with clients in your focus area. Other things to consider in your search for your success partner:

Compatibility=97when speaking with the coach you should have a comfort level to be able to speak openly.

Professionalism=97is the coach credible in the fact they are competent in the area of your focus and able to bring knowledge, skills, and good advice? Do they have references?

Listening skills=97are they a good listener? If your first conversation, phone or in person, is one-sided and mainly from them you may want to consider interviewing others. It is the coach's job to help you find your inner wisdom while giving guidance and advice but they can only do this if they are listening effectively.

Most coaches offer a free introductory session to alleviate the fear of taking the next step and working with them. Take advantage of the offer and seize the opportunity to see if you are ready to be coached to reach your ultimate goals. <bio>Carole DeJarnatt is a business coach, facilitator of Alliance Success Groups, and owner of Alliance Advisors, Inc.
As a singer without any formal vocal training, you would probably have wondered whether to hire a vocal coach to train your singing voice. Well, your procrastination is hurting your singing career.

Just name me any famous singer who never had any vocal training? Yes, some of them may have gotten popular without any formal singing lessons but all these popular singers, without exception realized that they have to engage a vocal coach at one time or another take their spectacular singing career to superstardom and to stay up there.

So what makes you think that you do not need vocal lessons? If you are already singing professionally, then it is vital that you take up voice training to separate you from the mediocre singers. This is how you can get noticed when you are above the pack and above your singing competitors.

If others do not believe in vocal training and you do, then you would already have won because you will be singing much better and control higher fees for your performances.

You need to take care and respect for your voice. That is your musical instrument and your voice determines whether you succeed or fail in your singing career.

Finding a good singing teacher can be a little tricky. There are many so called vocal coaches out there proclaiming themselves to be singing teachers after merely reading up a few books. As this industry is not regulated, there are many charlatans out there.

The best way to determine a good singing teacher is to ask good singers. After all, they are already good singers themselves and their recommendation won't be all that bad isn't it?

However, since singing teachers are human beings, it is thus important that the teacher student relationship is good and you can get along your vocal coach. The chemistry between you and your coach must be good, otherwise when you are singing under stress, your voice will come out as very strained and that voice is awful to the ears. If you can't along with your singing teacher, then you may need to change your vocal coach.

One way of eliminating this human problem in learning how to sing is to get VCDs, DVD and video singing lessons of famous and proven vocal coaches. Not only is it much less expensive than hiring a vocal teacher, you can work at your own time and own pace. Since the teaching tools are yours, you can practice your vocal training anytime and anywhere. Better yet, you are learning from the best!

Most good singing coaches will have a vocal workout lessons plan for you. Learning how to breathe and use your diaphragm properly are the basics of a singer's inventory. You will find out how remarkable your voice can get when you mastered only these two singing exercises. Once you are using correct breathing and diaphragm control techniques, your singing voice and confidence will soar.

So, if want to bring your singing career to greater heights then go and get a vocal coach now and start practicing singing skills now. <bio>Visit Chris Chew's websites for more articles on singing and music. http://www.playmusicsing.com and http://learnsingplaymusic.blogspot.com </bio>

Whether we are talking about professional, sanctioned sports or organized youth sports makes no difference; coaching in sports is an awesome responsibility.

Some may ask, "What exactly is a coach?" Well, the World Wide Web offers the following definition; "In sports, a coach is an individual involved in the direction and instruction of the on-field operations of an athletic team or of individual athletes.

Coaching entails the application of sport tactics and strategies during the game or contest itself, and usually entails substitution of players and other such actions as needed. Most coaches are former participants in the sports in which they are involved, and those who are not have had extensive training in the sport in question."

Coaches not only have the responsibility of teaching the fundamentals of their chosen sport, but they are entrusted to guide the athletes as individuals, as well as offer an example of behavior for the team to follow. While different sports, as well as the different sports organizations that coaches work for, all have their own set of rules and regulations, there are a few fundamentals that all coaches are expected to follow.

For example, all coaches are expected to abide by the particular laws that govern their sport, and to make sure that the athletes do so as well. In sports, there also exist unwritten rules of sportsmanship and ethics that all coaches are expected to follow and enforce with their team. These ethical standards cover such things as fair play and the integrity of the team as well as the individual athletes.

Coaches must ensure that their players are safe and protected during games as well as during practices. They are expected to provide and maintain a drug free environment, act as a role model both on and off of the playing field, ensure respectful conduct among the players and so much more. Coaches are also expected to keep current on any new provisions that might come into being that relates to the sport they are coaching.

Since it takes so much to be a good, effective coach, there are now many institutes of higher learning that actually offer classes for coaches. Classes run the gamut from how to influence the players, how to motivate players, as well as how to build team spirit.

With the huge number of different sports, as well as the diversity of the players, many coaches find themselves in need of an education that will better equip them to handle a certain group of athletes. For example, with more and more women's sports teams being formed, this presents a problem for the male coach who has never had to coach anything except a team of males. Being a coach in sports is not an easy job, but it does have the potential to be a rewarding one. <bio>You will find more from this author at: http://www.sports-articles.com </bio>

Sometimes, people with ADD find rough spots in life, and sometimes the spots are so rough that we need someone who can help us through them. Finance, relationships, and career are all places where someone with ADD might run into difficulty. That's when you should ask the question, "How can I find a life coach?"

Life coaches are pros, experienced in determining your goals, and in helping you to achieve them faster and much easier than you might have yourself. ADD life coaches can help you to find a career that's right for you, give you a system for managing finances, and even help with inter-personal relationships.

You probably won't see doctoral degrees on the walls of their offices, because they aren't doctors. They aren't mental health professionals. They are just in business to help you get where you want to go, and in the shortest, easiest order. Think of them as a kind of efficiency expert, though life coaching delves a bit deeper.

Just be sure that the person you deal with understands the special issues that will be presented because you have ADD. If they don't get it, find another coach. In fact, you may have to go through three or four, until you settle on one that's compatible with your personality and style. If you see that they offer a free session, take advantage of that just to see how you get along with that other person.

If you don't see that you're progressing toward at least one of your goals fairly rapidly, then you may have to switch gears. But if you can find someone who can quickly determine your goals and at least start you down the right path, then give the system a while to work. The question, "How do I find a life coach?" can certainly be answered by the phrase, "trial and error." But knowing this is 90% of your answer. <bio>Tellman Knudson is a certified hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner, who has helped many of his clients to cope with the symptoms of ADD.
Before we get into whether life coaching is the right profession for you, let's first define what coaching is, where it comes from, and why people hire coaches in the first place.

Where Does Coaching Come From?

Let's start with a bit of history. Where does coaching come from? Personal or life coaching has sprung from a handful of related yet distinct fields. These include sports, psychology, and personal development.

While some people were coaching in the 1980's and 90's, they may not have called it that. The first coach training organizations were established in the mid 80's and the first coaching association in about 1992.

Now, due to media exposure and the internet, the public is more aware than ever that life coaching exists.

What Is Coaching?

If you've looked at various sites on personal or life coaching, you've probably noticed that their definitions of coaching vary. There isn't a standard definition.

The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as:

"Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential."

In other words, a coach supports each client to achieve their goals.

There are two main philosophies about how to 'do' coaching. The first group believes that the client has the answers so the coach just needs to ask questions and voice observations. The second group blends the above along with mentoring and consulting techniques, such as sharing steps or processes that work, to achieve the end result wanted.

What Do People Hire a Coach?

People hire coaches for a variety of reasons. Here are a few: - To become more effective in organization and time management. - To decrease stress and increase balance in their life. - For support and guidance through a career transition. - To find their passion and start living it. - To make their life even better. - For support in starting a business. - and many other reasons...

They have a result they want to achieve and they know they can get there faster with the support of a coach.

You may be thinking, "I could get a friend to help me with that." The drawback is a friend may not be as truthful or blunt with you as a coach as they don't want to risk losing their friendship with you. Many professional coaches have invested time and money in coach training programs and are trained to ask powerful questions and to listen.

While talking with a friend may be cheaper than the $200-400+ monthly fee a typical life coach charges, the latter is more likely to support you to achieve the results you're looking for.

Let's Ask Some Coaches Why They Became a Coach

I interviewed fifteen life coaches and asked each of them why they became a coach and what they love about being a coach now that they are a coach.

Their answers to the first question, why they became a coach, can be summarized into four reasons: - They wanted to help people. - They wanted to make a difference in the world. - Coaching was a calling. - Their skills and values were a match for this profession.

Pay attention to that last answer as we'll come back to it.

Once they became coaches, most shared that they genuinely enjoy seeing their clients succeed and even get an emotional high from helping others reach their goals.

In addition, they love the freedom, flexibility and independence that self-employment (when done right) allows. They've been able to create a lifestyle that works for them.

Is Becoming a Life Coach The Only Answer?

The question is, do you need to become a life coach to help people, make a difference in the world, and create the perfect lifestyle for you?

Just think about that for a moment...

Frankly, the answer is no. If you were to ask people in other service professions - such as personal trainers, personal shoppers, virtual assistants, doctors, or web designers etc. - you would likely hear the same answers.

What Is The Solution?

It comes down to whether your values, skills, core genius, and passions match those necessary to become a great life coach.

If they do, it's a career that you will likely find fulfilling. If not, you may find yourself hopping from career to career until you find a match.

You need to take the time to 'go within' and find what career coach Barb Richards, of VisionWorkCoaching.com, calls your 'true north.' Discover your values, skills, core genius and passions. Then see if they are a match for the profession of coaching.

You can search haphazardly for the right profession or you can save time, money and frustration and do the inner work first.

Research the Profession

You may be thinking that becoming a coach is an easy way to make money. If money is your prime motive for starting any career, it'll be harder to keep going when the obstacles and challenges appear.

To really understand and get what personal coaching is all about, you need to experience coaching. How can you become a life coach if you've never experienced it?

Take into consideration that many coaches are self-employed. It can take 3-18+ months to create a profitable coaching business. If you have no marketing or business experience, you'll need to either learn these skills or hire someone with strengths in these areas.

By researching the profession and doing the inner work, you'll be able to tell if coaching is the right career choice for you. If not, your inner work will serve as the foundation from which to find the right career match.

Even if you discover that coaching isn't the career for you, learning coaching skills can be valuable. You can use these skills in all aspects of your life, both personally and professionally. <bio>Want to learn more about the profession of coaching?
Could you hope to live without a career all life despite inheriting a legacy? Career is not just about living out of inherited money, nor is it limited to earning livelihood. Holistically speaking it is the progression of ones working or professional life. Career indeed means a lot these days. Nowadays, parents start grooming their children from the day one she starts her education, guide and help their children choose their career.

Choosing and Making a Career

To some, choosing a career is as simple as a ready to eat preparation served in a silver bowl, because their career is inherited through legacy. Still they don't spare a stone unturned in their efforts to just pursue it and make successful careers. For example, Henry Ford, who is the third generation person to carry on the legacy of his parents successfully, has toiled hard to expand the empire beyond the Atlantic Ocean.

Students should start thinking about their careers while in High School. Career exploring in various fields such as Accountancy, Finance, Law, Engineering and Medical, Business Management etc should be given a serious thought while they are still in College level. Well planning and choosing the appropriate line of study will definitely get you a good pick of your own choice.

Career Counselors prove beneficial in personal development and if you need them to, they can double up as career coaches who guide you in choosing your career. They assess your scope of interest, ability, your personality and style of working and accordingly, help you choose your career.

Career development

Did you know choosing a career is much easier rather than developing it? Landing a suitable job may take less than a year but making a career is for the rest of your working life. Once you land up at your chosen career, you must try to manage it carefully by gaining deeper knowledge and skills, working ethically and with integrity, and climb the ladder of success, to achieve your goals by rising to a higher level or position in that organization. Slightest initial complacency would mean a longer stay at the same level for a long time, develop leadership qualities within and rise to higher level. Work conditions and ethics permit that you can have multiple careers to explore your capabilities. Be good at decision-making and this will be the step forward to boost your career. Never give up hope, as the saying goes `In every difficulty lies an opportunity'. <bio>NamSing Then is a regular article contributor on many topics.
It seems that everyone is investing in some sort of coaching these days.

Executives are using coaches to improve their management abilities and help them to better relate to their employees.

Job seekers are investing in career coaches to help them get promotions and better jobs.

Other people are getting life coaches to help them set goals and make substantial decisions in their lives.

So, what is coaching? How does it work? What are the benefits of coaching? Why should you train to become a coach? Take a moment to explore this fascinating occupation. You may find a new calling.

What is coaching?

In a nutshell, coaching is a relationship that exists between a qualified coach and a team or an individual. The relationship exists to enhance the achievement of goals and results such as improving a person's skills and abilities.

The person or team being coached chooses the direction of the coaching experience. Together, they map out a plan for the success of the objective.

A good coach will examine where the person or team are currently and identify viable areas where improvement is needed as well as skills and abilities that can be utilized in the achievement of the goals.

How it works?

A coaching relationship usually begins with a personal interview. This can be done in person or over the telephone.

This initial interview is intended to assess challenges, opportunities and identify the direction that they want to take the coaching relationship.

In that first interview, a blueprint is laid for the scope and course of the coaching experience. Of course, there is a certain flexibility because as the person being coached progresses and grows, needs and abilities will change.

After that first interview, the person may go through various assessments and evaluations. From there, the coaching experience moves in the direction that is based on the skills, abilities, needs and objectives of the person who is being coached.

What are the benefits of coaching?

When a person hires a coach to achieve some goal or to improve their professional or personal life they can experience many great benefits. They can gain valuable insight on opportunities and personal challenges by seeing them from new perspectives.

Their decision making and critical thinking skills are increased as are interpersonal skills. They will also emerge with more confidence that will allow them to pursue their chosen career goals and personal objectives.

Productivity increases and there is an overall personal satisfaction with work, home and life in general. Coaches help people achieve their goals.

Why should I train in coaching?

You may benefit from training in coaching if you are experiencing a challenge that you wish to overcome, have a goal that you wish to reach or there is an opportunity that you want to pursue.

If you wish to fill gaps in knowledge or skills or you want to gain more self confidence. Basically, if there is any area in your life, either professionally or personally, you could gain a great deal by hiring a coach.

Take inventory of your life, where you want to go and what you want to do, then talk to some coaches and see what they have to say about how you can achieve your goals.

A coaching relationship is well worth the investment. <bio>http://Alojate.com is the premier web hosting company in Mexico, offering a range or services for all business needs. http://www.alojate.com http://www.virtual5.com.mx http://www.copsevillahermosa.com </bio>

The athletic department in any university is important. Prestigious universities invest so much to scout for potential athletes that will bring victory to their teams. Some even observed athletes of different high schools to look for talented athletes.

However, the discovery of university athletes does not solely rely on scouts. Most successful athletes have to prepare and prove themselves worthy to be part of the team they want to join. They have to prepare for tryouts in order to get the attention of their seniors and coaches.

The success of the athletic teams is not in the hands of the athletes alone. The coaches play a big role in the success and failure of the team. Many schools fire their coaches because of bad team standings. There are also those who name their stadiums and fields after the coaches as a sign of gratitude.

Sports recognize the coaches at large. When the West Virginia Mountaineers received the Lambert-Meadowland trophy, the records did not list the names of athletes who were part of the team. They listed the name of the head coach instead.

Coaches also receive credit for the performance of their players. Experts would say that the great coaches bring out the best from their players. Talent alone is not enough to win games. It takes guidance and motivation as well.

Going back to the football team of the West Virginia University, Coach Don Nehlen is among the best. His induction in the College football Hall of Fame proved his greatness. Before becoming one of the best coaches, he was a quarterback at the Bowling Green State University. After that, he coached the Bowling Green.

He then coached the West Virginia for 20 years, from 1980 to 2000. He received various awards that recognized him as one of the top coaches around. In 1988, he received three distinctions, the AFCA Coach of the Year, Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year, and Walter Camp Coach of the Year awards. During his leadership, he led the Mountaineers to the 1993 Big East Conference championship. In that same year, he became the Big East Coach of the Year and Kodak Coach of the Year.

When Nehlen retired, Coach Rich Rodriguez replaced him. No one would be more fitting to do the job since he has been assisting Coach Nehlen in 1985 and 1986. He led the team to four Big East Conference championships, including three consecutive titles in 2003, 2004, and 2005. During these years, he also received the Big East Coach of the Year award. After they won the Big East Conference in 2005, they won the Nokia Sugar Bowl, defeating the Georgia Bulldogs.

Although Rodriguez left the West Virginia Mountaineers after the 2007 season, he is still one of the best coaches the team has ever had.

These two coaches have led the West Virginia University football team to greatness. This reinforces the value of coaches in the performance of their teams. Although the players are valuable to the team, the coaches lead the team.<bio>Rick Grantham is an expert on sports equipment, specially on West Virginia Mountaineers Merchandise for more information on NCAA College Merchandise, visit BooYah Village.</bio>

Are you searching for your dream career? Have you gone through many bad jobs, and are finally getting tired of it? Do you just want to find a career that you like? If you answered yes to any of these questions you are in the same boat as a lot of people. The bottom line is that finding a career that you like is not always the easiest thing to do. Some people go through many careers before they finally find the one that is right for them. At the same time, there are many others who find their dream career the first time out. Regardless of what situation you are in, you can find your dream career if you put your mind to it.

The first step to finding your dream career is determining what it is. After all, if you do not know what your dream career is, how can you ever find it? You can get information on many different careers by searching online or talking with a career counselor. The point is you need to know what is out there to find what you are interested in the most.

When you know what career you want to try out, you will then want to search far and wide for the best position. This can be done by going through the classifieds in your local newspaper and also using the internet job boards. The more jobs that you come across, the better chance you have of finding one that is your dream career. You should not make the mistake of only searching in one place or in one location. If you do this you will have a very difficult time pinpointing your dream career.

Overall, finding your dream career may take you many years. But one thing is for sure; if you put the time into searching for your dream career you will get it in the end. And all in all, this is the only thing that counts when everything is said and done. <bio>Francois Botha has written over 1000 articles on various career subjects.
Do you currently have the career of your dreams? If so, congratulations on all your hard work, because I'm quite sure that your success and accomplishment didn't happen over night. If you do not have the career you have always dreamed of, do not worry, you can get there. Career development isn't easy, but it is definitely worth it.

Career development can mean a lot of things. Here, for my purposes, I simply mean doing the things you have to do to get the career you really want. The first step in the process of career development is to figure out - really figure out - the career you want to have. This may be harder than it seems. You really need to know yourself, know what you're good at, and know what excites you. Not many people last long in a career that they hate. Career development begins with taking a close look at yourself. See a career counselor for even more help or to take tests that will help you to determine your personality and jobs that will fit it well.

Once you have determined a career or two that seems like it will fit you and your dreams, continue with your career development by discovering what needs to happen for you to be qualified for the career you want. Career development does not happen in an instant or even in a year, it may take years of hard work to get to where you want to be. It is important to be realistic about your goals and about the process. Does more education need to take place for your career development? Or perhaps you just need some special training courses in your field but you do not need another degree? Find these things out and then begin pursuing it.

Career development is important because I am convinced that it is important that people spend their lives on things they care about and feel like they can do well at. There is nothing worse than spending years of your life in an unsatisfying career. Fortunately, you do not have to let that be the story of your life. Take proactive steps that put you in control of your career development.

I guess what I'm simply trying to say is this: life is hard. Work is hard. Work is much easier and life is much better when it is doing a career that you love. Believe that it is possible for you to have a career that you love and then commit to whatever career development is necessary for you. It will be worth it for years to come. <bio>It took Martin Stoleman a few years to make it through the necessary career development for his now career as an author.
There will always be one champion in every final match of a game. Some claim this title consistently while other win it intermittently or sometimes it takes years before they do so. Great teams are able to do it consistently because of the coaches they have. It is amazing how they see the potentials of the several kids aspiring to become a school athlete. They should be credited for molding and training the athlete to put them on their best form when the real competition happens.

In college teams, many great coaches prepare their students for the world of professional sports. However, before getting into the world of pro, coaches help them win college competitions and help them win in their short stint on college days.

University of Georgia is one of the most competitive college teams. They have managed to dominate both conference titles and championship games. They have great players and coaches that contributed to their 35 National Championships titles since 1892. Of course not to mention that, they are one of the best on their conference with an accumulated title of 130 wins. They have 19 different teams and among their most wins, they have come from football, gymnastics, golf, swimming, equestrian and tennis. Their varsity teams are named the Georgia Bulldogs.

As mentioned a while ago, we are here to know the coaches who have contributed to the 35 National Championship titles their varsity team has accumulated. Below are some of them:

1. Steve Webber -- He was the head coach of the baseball team since 1981-1996. He helped the varsity baseball team to win National Championships in 1990.

2. Suzanne Paige Yoculan- She is the head coach of the gymnastics team since 1983. According to the updated stats, she helped the team win 9 national championships with a grand slam win from 2005 until the present. She is definitely one of the best coaches in the history of gymnastics.

3. Jack Bauerle- He is the head coach for the swimming varsity team for both men and women. He helped the women's team to win 4 National Championship titles since 1979. This was a grand slam win from 1999 to 2005.

4. Dan Mcgill and Manuel Diaz- These 2 are the former and the present head coaches of the tennis varsity team for men. Mcgill being a coach from 1954-1988 help the team win two championship titles. On the other hand, Diaz, the present coach, help the team win five Championship titles.

5. Jeff Wallace- He is the present head coach of the tennis varsity team for women. He led the team to win four national championships.

6. Meghan Boenig- She is the head coach of the equestrian team. This is one of the youngest teams for the university yet she has managed to help the team win 3 National titles.

The Georgia Bulldogs are surely blessed with coaches of great talent. You can see it on their track record that they have managed to be one of the most accomplished varsity team. Those mentioned are just the National Titles. Most of the 19 varsity teams have won SEC or Divisional titles.<bio>Freddie Brister is a huge fan of the SEC and the Georgia Bulldogs Check out his Georgia Bulldogs Merchandise.</bio>

Since being a little girl, my daughter has always excelled in athletics. On the co-ed community baseball team, she was the first female to get to play on first base. Running track and field, she also competed in volleyball. With her history, it was no surprise that she decided after her first year in college to make coaching sports her career. Knowing she was naturally talented in sports, I felt her decision was a good one, but she had never worked with kids before which might present a problem.

To give her hands-on experience coaching kids, applying or a summer job with the parks and recreation department in our town seemed like the perfect idea. Since the programs are open to 10 through 16 year olds, she would be able to determine how well she would do in coaching sports with a different age groups. After applying and interviewing, she found the main positions were filled but she could serve as a helper to the full time coaches. In order to be prepared to fill in for any of the coaches, she had to work with all of the offered sports in all of the age groups.

As soon as the second week, she was asked to fill in for two different coaches. By the second day of that, she had decided coaching sports was not for her after all. Here is a great hobby related website http://www.hobbiesforfun.com. Apparently, the kids did not seem to listen to her or stick to the rules of the game. Although she had never quit anything before, she was seriously considering not even going back the next day. Wanting her to follow through with her commitment, I helped her research articles about coaching young teens. Finding a couple of new techniques, she decided she would try them the next day.

Anxiously waiting to hear her report, I found her coming home almost crying. Although she had tried the new techniques, the kids acted even worse. She had already determined that the summer job had been a good idea so that she didn't waste going to college to learn to coach sports. Even though I encouraged her to try other age groups that might be easier for her to coach, she decided to stick to playing the sports and let someone else do the coaching. <bio>David frequently works with: http://www.hubcapreport.com http://www.mywebrelease.com </bio>

You've probably seen it at the local ball field. A well-meaning, but overzealous parent-coach screaming at a team full of little kids as if the World Series was on the line. On the other field, another team is wandering around looking for directions from their coach who is trying to figure out who's up next. What does it take to be a good Little League coach?

The number one virtue Little League coaches need to develop is patience. Children do not have the attention span or the discipline of adults and need to be constantly reminded about technique and sportsmanship. Coaches need patience to work with a large group of children who may be at different levels of expertise. Many major league ball players have stories of making it to the majors because of a coach who never gave up on them.

Organizational skills are also helpful to a Little League coach. Balancing playing time can be a sensitive task and good record keeping can help avoid many a dispute. If you're coaching a team that travels you have to be able to organize travel arrangements and have systems to keep track of all your players while you're on the road.

Tact is essential when dealing with parents. Children are remarkably open to coaching and are not typically sensitive to constructive criticism about their skills. Parents, however, frequently stress about their child's amount of playing time, and the amount of individual coaching time their children receive. It takes finesse and sensitivity to deal with these problems. Parents may also become overly concerned about the competition and may need to be tactfully reminded about the importance of good sportsmanship.

If your child is on the team you're coaching, fairness may become an issue. It's important for coaches to be fair to all their players and to judge players on their skills rather than their personalities. At higher levels, it's important to continue to praise and offer second string players at least some playing time, to maintain their interest and help them continue to develop their skills even if they do not have a great career in sports ahead of them.

Finally, every Little League coach must have a deep and abiding love for children of all ages. Coaches are some of the most formative people in a child's life and can imbue children with values they will carry throughout their lives. <bio>Jonathon Hardcastle writes articles for http://baseballstuff.net/ - In addition, Jonathon also writes articles for http://everythingaboutgames.net/ and http://universeofentertainment.com/ </bio>

Coaching is a process of teaching and directing. The one who directs is known as the 'coach'. To grow within a society and to learn proper skills to establish and perform, coaching is very necessary. At every stage and in various aspects of your life, you will find a need for coaching. It imparts knowledge, discipline and skill to perform wherever there is a requirement.

There is no definite line of coaching as coaches are independent to select the type and structure of coaching. Encouragement, inspiration and advice constitute the base of a coaching technique. These elements are present in all types of coaching (like sports, business, personal and career coaching). An approach towards coaching should be very responsible and disciplined because it requires patience and hard work. It is a very traditional method and starts at a very informal level where parents teach their children. Generally elders are regarded as good coach for the young ones who are passing through a learning stage. Here are few definite types of coaching that differ from one another with regards to features, functions and time period.

Personal coaching: When a person offers individual coaching to a client then it is personal coaching or "life coaching". A mutual understanding is established between the client and the coach and the coach carries forward with a definite progress plan. Constant feedback is given to the client and this type of coaching can enter an informal level. A coach analyses the strengths and weaknesses of the client and works towards repair and rebuilding.

Team coaching: A single client is replaced by a team in team coaching. A coach takes care of a particular team and prepares a chart of progress for each individual and an indicator of group performance. This is a better learning process as the clients can learn a lot from each other. Moreover, a collective effort is always better than singular approach.

Business coaching: Business coaching is completely focused at assisting a business owner towards a distinct and efficient business plan. A business coaching can be operated in any department of commerce, from traditional business and entrepreneurial start-up business to e-business. Unlike other coaches, a business coach needs to be completely aware about the current advancements and changes in the business scenario.

Career coaching and executive coaching: Perhaps career coaching is one of the most common coaching types. Almost every student needs guidance to build a satisfying career for him or her. There are many queries and difficulties in students' life and sometimes they are unable to handle the situation. Executive coaching is professional type of coaching to impart skills, strategies and professional (according to the profession) behavior to the executives. <bio>Copyright©2006 Visit http://www.coachingextra.com for more coaching, life coach and executive coaching resources. </bio>

If you are looking for the perfect career for you but are unsure of where to look or what to look for, then don't go any further without doing a career search. A career search is a great way to learn about potential careers without making any commitments or signing any contracts first.

The basic idea of a career search is two-fold. The first main purpose of doing a career search is to learn about all the possible careers that are available to be had as great professions. For example, you may know that some people make a great career out of being a chef, but have you ever considered being a chef that gets to travel the world and cook on cruise ships? Or maybe you have considered nannying as a career choice for you. With a career search you may learn that you can be a nanny in another country and make just as much money if not more.

The possibilities for making money and for enjoying your career are nearly endless. Do not let yourself get sucked into a job you hate simply because you haven't taken the time to find a career that is right for you. As a career counselor, I meet with far too many people each week that are stuck doing jobs they hate simply to pay the bills because they didn't know that other careers were really possible. So take my advice and do a career search before you make any other job commitments. You just may be missing out on a career you could love.

A second main purpose of doing a career search is to learn more about yourself. You may not even have a good idea of what kinds of careers would fit your personality and skills until you do a career search to learn more about yourself. Take time to do some of the personality and skill tests that accompany career searches and see what is right for you. If you are going to spend the majority of your life working, as most people do, than why not take your time and through a career search learn what is truly the best career for you.

Having a career you love is one of the most rewarding things in life. Doing a career search can be one of the easiest ways to discover what careers will bring you the best rewards. <bio>Triston Huntsmin is a professional career counselor that encourages all potential-workers to do a career search before making a long term choice about careers. See http://www.careersearchhelp.info for more. </bio>
