One of the many misunderstood aspects of a wireless calling plan is understanding how calling plans affect your long distance and roaming charges. Not being aware when you are making a roaming or long distance call, and are will incur heavy overage charges can result in a shockingly high bill at the end of each month. To get an idea of how they work let's take a brief look at the different types of plans that are offered.

Local Calling Plans Local calling plans cover the smallest geographic region. This is usually a metropolitan area like New York City of Los Angeles. If you have a local calling plan and you are inside the region and make calls to anyone outside of the region you will incur long distance charges. If you are outside of the calling area and call someone inside of the calling area roaming charges will apply. If you are outside of the calling area and call someone across the country roaming and long distance charges will apply.

Regional Calling Plans Regional calling plans cover a larger area than local calling plans. It usually covers a few neighboring states. If you are inside of the region and place calls to anyone inside of the region standard calling rates will apply. If you call someone outside of the region long distance rates will apply. If you are outside of your region and place a call into your region roaming charges will apply. If you are outside of your region and place a call to someone in a different region than you are in roaming charges and long distance rates will apply.

Nationwide Calling Plans In a nationwide calling plan the entire country is considered inside of your region and there will be no long distance charges for any calls that you make. If your carrier has spotty coverage and you travel to an area that isn't covered by your network but is covered by another carrier you will incur roaming charges if you make any calls.

Local calling plans have the lowest call per minute rate, but have the highest long distance and roaming charge rates. Nationwide calling plans have the highest per minute rate with regional calling plans in the middle. Many larger networks are dropping local calling areas in favor of regional and nationwide calling plans. When choosing a calling plan it's important to consider how much traveling you will be doing and how much time you will spend outside of what is considered your regional calling area. If you are only making one or two trips per year, you may be able to save money on your monthly bill with a regional calling plan as opposed to a nationwide calling plan.

© Copyright Cellular-Advisor.com, All Rights Reserved. <bio>Josephine Mills writes for http://www.cellular-advisor.com about wireless communication subjects like cell phones and http://www.cellular-advisor.com/cell-phones/calling-plans/ </bio>

Having tried various long distance calling plans throughout the past several years, we recently changed to a VOIP system. This new long distance calling plan is loaded with calling features. For one low monthly fee, it also includes unlimited long distance in North America.

With our local phone company, we were paying $20 a month. This small plan let us make all the calls we wanted between 5 P.M. and 8 P.M. and all day on Saturday and Sunday. For a while this plan was just fine, but circumstances changed so that I was home during the day and wanted use the service.

A popular option that became available recently was the long distance calling plan code that provided reduced calling rates. By dialing a seven digit code before the area code and phone number, you rerouted the call through a cheaper long distance provider. Here is a great communication related site http://www.communicationroad.com. This option could be used in conjunction with any other plans that were already on the phone service because it just circumvents that existing plan.

Some people have tried to avoid phone use charges altogether by using their webcams with voice to initiate communication through the internet. This can be fun seeing and talking to the person who is miles away, but there are still many kinks in the system that may interrupt the link.

VOIP has eliminated many of the problems that exist with other long distance calling plans. For those who use their long distance a lot, you will enjoy making calls at any time with no limits on the minutes you use. This plan offers one monthly fee with no hidden extra charges and gives you every calling feature you could want. Generally, the fee is around $40 a month including fees and taxes.

With our land line taken care of, it would be nice if cell phones were as competitive with their long distance calling plans. With flexibility and affordability, staying in touch with family and friends at any time is much easier. <bio>Ronald frequently works on: http://www.informationinquiry.com http://www.mycomputingnews.com </bio>

With ATandT's recent acquisitions and consolidation, Cingular Wireless is now under the ATandT Inc. umbrella. In a massive move to re-brand its wireless acquisition, ATandT announced its new UnitySM plan to give subscribers access to the largest free calling community in the United States. The Unity plan will give wireless subscribers unlimited free calling to and from all other ATandT phones including wireless and wire-line phone numbers.

ATandT's Unity plan begins Sunday, January 21, 2007 and it is ATandT's first major product offering since ATandT's acquisition of BellSouth Corp. and its consolidation of Cingular Wireless. This plan is designed to bring together home, business and wireless calling together to create the largest calling community of more than 100 million ATandT wireless and wire-line numbers.

The Unity subscribers can make and receive calls free from any ATandT number nationwide without incurring any additional wire-line usage fees or without using their wireless anytime minutes. There are of course limitations to the plan. To be eligible, all calls must begin and end in the United States. In addition, all wireless voice mail calls, directory assistance calls, toll-free numbers, 900 numbers, international numbers, and dial-around numbers are not eligible for the free calling network. Note that the new ATandT Unity wireless plans do not include rollover minutes.

Furthermore to qualify for the new Unity network, customers must subscribe to both ATandT's wireless service and ATandT's unlimited local and long distance wire-line services. The new Unity plans are available in Individual plans and Family Talk plans ranging from $60 a month to over $300 per month. Another benefit of the plan will be the convenience of a single bill for all of the subscriber's wire-line and wireless services. The new network is available to all new and existing ATandT qualified residential and small business customers in the company's 22-state service area. <bio>Find the cell phone accessories you are looking for at our website http://www.wonderfulcell.com </bio>

As high speed and broadband internet connections are becoming more prevalent in homes across the United States, people are asking themselves can VOIP calling save me money on my phone bill? To answer this question you need to take a deeper look at VOIP calling and the expenses related to switching to VOIP.

The first thing to you should know is how VOIP calling works. When you place a VOIP call it works by converting the voice signal that you speak into the phone handset into a digital signal and sending it over the internet. This signal is then converted back into a voice signal and comes out of the earpiece on the other end. By sending the signal over the internet it doesn't matter how far it has to go, a call across the street costs the same as call across the country. For people who have monthly long distance bills that are over $20, VOIP calling may be able to save you money on your phone bill.

When evaluating VOIP services you should have an idea of your monthly calling volume. The best thing to do is look at your phone bill for the past three months and figure out how many minutes you are using. If you are using less than 500 minutes a month you will find VOIP calling plans that are probably much less than your monthly phone bill. If you are using over 1000 minutes each month you'll probably find unlimited calling plans will be more cost effective. If you make a lot of international calls, check to see if those calls are included in the plans you are evaluating.

Some VOIP services require that you update your telephone equipment. This is especially important if you have more then one phone in the house. The key to the VOIP system is VOIP router. It connects your broadband internet access to your new phone system. Some routers only interface with newer VOIP phones, meaning you will have to purchase new phones. Some routers allow you to plug conventional phones into them and keep your existing equipment. This really becomes an important factor if you have more than one telephone in your house.

Another factor to consider is the length of the contract. Many companies offer month to month contracts, others offer yearly, and some offer two year contracts. While a two year contract may look attractive from a price standpoint, locking yourself into a developing technology for twenty four months is something to give serious consideration to. A one year contract usually provides the best trade off between price and time commitment.

© Copyright VOIPTelephoneSystem.org, All Rights Reserved.
Calling cards can be an excellent way to save money, both at home and abroad. Calling cards can offer you the lowest prices in domestic and international long distance service, no matter where you call from.

This means that the next time you're traveling, you won't have to pay the hotel their ridiculous long distance charges. Some hotels charge as much as $8 per minute! With a calling card, you can get rates for less than a penny a minute - now that's dome savings!

But if you want to save as much money as possible, you need to know several things about choosing the correct calling card for your uses. The cheapest is not always the best. Here are several factors to consider:

1 -- is there a connection fee? Some calling cards charge you a fee for each call you make, usually in exchange for lower rates. If you make short calls, this setup could be expensive for you.

2 -- is there an expiration date? Some calling cards have an expiration date -- if you don't use the minutes on the card within a certain number of days or weeks, they become invalid. Of course, this would not matter to you if you make lots of calls on a regular basis, and would use up the card before it expired.

3 -- how do the international rates work? If you will be calling to more than one country, look carefully at how the international rates work. Some cards may give you very low rates to one country, but high rates to other countries. Some domestic calling cards do not allow international calling at all, or charge very high rates. Every card is different -- just check before you buy.

All in all, if you get the right calling card for your uses, you can save a great deal of money over time. Just use these tips to ensure that you get the right calling card for you. <bio>Visit http://www.startdialing.com for great deals on international calling cards. </bio>

We have to admit that it has come to be a dire necessity for the people who are traveling abroad, to have calling cards with them. In fact, it is noticeable that carrying calling cards during a long distance travel has become so common that it is no more thought to be something special or extraordinary. Now- a- days, calling cards have proved to be one of the most efficient telecommunication services.

Calling cards are generally of three types. These are international calling cards, overseas calling cards and long- distance calling cards. There are, of course, many other types of calling cards, but they are scarcely so much popular as the mentioned calling cards are.

It has often been marked that overseas calling cards and international calling cards are mistaken by people as long- distance calling cards. The fact remains that in spite of providing nearly similar features, these calling cards vary from each other in some respects.

If you use international calling cards, it will allow you to make international calls while the overseas calling cards will let you make overseas calls. It is to be kept in mind that the call making ends and the call receiving ends have to be located in the same country. Long- distance calling cards will facilitate you with the scope to make local calls, overseas calls and even international calls.

Are you pondering about how to avail calling cards? You need not bother much since it is very easy to get calling cards. The popularity of the calling cards as one of the types of telecommunication services has led many companies, including the renowned ones, to provide international calling cards, overseas calling cards and long- distance calling cards. The varieties of the exclusive schemes with which the calling cards are sold, are lucrative enough to make the customers feel interested at once.

Apart from the easy availability, there is another positive aspect about the various types of calling cards. The prices that you have to expend for purchasing a calling card, are not high enough to threaten you purse. They are definitely within the easy reach of your budget. Moreover, the competition among the companies to hold the top position results in the reduction of the prices of the calling cards, facilitating the customers a lot. Some of the companies that are renowned for providing the customers with long- distance calling cards at competitive rates are Tel 3, Verizon and ATandT.

It will be a wrong notion if the easy availability and the budget prices are thought to be the only advantages of the calling cards. The prime advantage that the calling cards provide the customers is the scope to make a call through any type of phone at any place in the world. What you have to do is to dial the country code, followed by the PIN or the personal identification number and then the particular phone number at which you want to make the call.
Shopping around for a cell phone plan can quickly become an exercise in tedium and confusion. Weighing the facts to figure out which plan is the best can feel like it requires a degree in rocket science.

Fortunately, there are a few key things anyone can look for to ensure the plan they get is one of the best out there to meet their needs. Some of the things to watch for include:

* Pricing structure. This is where things tend to get a little confusing. Pricing structures tend to be tiered. This means some plans offer a certain amount of free or included minutes, free calling times, peak time charge, off time charges and more. Start out with the basic monthly charges and check what's included and what isn't.

Sorting it all out can make one's head spin. Some plans come with unlimited included minutes on days, nights and weekends. What fits personal needs the best needs to be determine on a one-on-one basis. It is important to fully understand the pricing structure and the financial penalties for going over. Not doing this can result in bills that are much higher than customers might anticipate.

* Long distance arrangements. Not everyone will be concerned about this feature, but some people need long distance included in their cell phone plan. Many companies provide for long distance to be included at no extra charge with the set minutes, but others charge extra. The area the long distance is covered should also be considered.

* International long distance. Most plans offer this to some extent. To get unlimited or at least discounted rates, it might be considered an add on or optional feature. If calls to other countries are a concern, it is worth asking about this. Some plans offer limited international long distance, which might work well for personal needs.

* Local calling area. Making sure the local calling area for a plan fits personal needs is very important. Some plans offer very limited calling areas, others go state to state or region to region.

* Roaming charges. Finding out the damage when traveling outside of local calling areas is always worth knowing. For some people this will be a big concern; other may barely find themselves roaming.

* Contract period. Since cell phone plan features change all the time from company to company, understanding the contract period is also wise. It is possible one contract will be signed and another company will come up with a better plan to fit personal needs six months down the road.

* Phone inclusion. Not all cell phone plan options come with free or discounted phones. Find this out. Not everyone can afford or even wants to pay out extra money for a cell phone when there are free options included with some plans.

Shopping around for a cell phone plan might not be much fun, but it can net some very good savings. Pay close attention to the features needed for personal use and read the fine print to ensure the best deal. <bio>For more cell phone information please visit http://www.cellphonerap.com - a popular cell phone website that provides tips, advice and cell phone resources.
How should you be comparing cellular plans and offers? There is a wide range of products available, many different types of calling plans and there seems to always be something new and exciting to consider. No matter if this is your first or your tenth cell phone, you still need to wisely compare cellular plans and offers before you sign on the dotted line. Here are some things you need to consider before making the choice.

* Know your need first. If you currently have a cellular plan, find out about how many minutes you are averaging per month. You can usually find this on your statement. Also, note things that you do and do not like about your plan. For example, do you get billed for roaming charges? Do you pay more for day time calls?

* Get the information. When comparing cellular plans and offers, you need to begin gathering information that will help you to make a decision. The best way to do this is to use the web. Find out what plans and offers are available from each of the companies in your area. Take notes, get brochures or even get quotes.

* You'll want to compare several things. Start with the plan's minute allotment. What is the cost of the minutes that you are averaging use of now? What additional fees are there for going over? Are there additional charges for the phone? Can you keep your current one? What are the charges for text messaging, voice mail, internet browsing and pictures? Does the phone they offer with the plan provide you with what you need?

* Look at warranty information. If your phone is damaged, destroyed or stops working, what will they do for you?

* Lastly, make sure that when you are comparing cellular plans and offers that you know just how long of a term you are signing for. If it is too long, unfair or there are extraordinary costs to getting out of the contract really consider your choice here.

Comparing cellular plans and offers means taking the time to insure that you know the facts, know the deal and know the hidden costs and then making the right decision. <bio>Michael Lewis is a contributing writer at http://www.gadgetagent.com where you can find more articles about cellular phone plans. </bio>

While many cell phone companies are finding new ways to increase their income, usually by finding ways to add costs to their phone plans, one company is taking a different approach in lowering prices, doing away with contracts and growing their service areas to provide low cost cell phone service across the nation.

With many phone plans when you agree to keep that carrier for anywhere from one or two years you can have the phone for free, with Cricket plans, when you buy the phone the first month of service is free, but there is no contract to sign. No signed agreement to stick with the company for a year or more. The decision to leave will be yours, but when you can find a plan that offers unlimited calling, no long distance charges, no charge for information and no charge for text and picture messaging, the decision to leave may be a tough one to make.

With many phone makes and models to choose from, finding one that fits your lifestyle should make the decision an easy one to make, and with no service contract it can usually be used on any other service to which you may decide to switch. However, when signing a contact with another company, there is usually a heft fee for ending the contract early. Even if some unfortunate circumstance makes the cell phone unaffordable, you still pay for the completion of the contract terms.

As Cricket continues to grow, becoming available in more parts of the country it is rapidly setting the standard for what is right with cell phone service plans. No contracts binding users for years, no additional charges for text messaging or sending the pictures from your camera phone and no long distance charges. With the plan prices it may be time to unplug your phone from the wall and instead count on this new wireless carrier for your communications needs.

When signing up for cell phone service many may not include all the extra charges into their budget and when the bill comes they learn they may not be able to afford the phone after all. With Cricket there are no surprises. You pick the phone of your choice, find the plan that will fit into your budget and enjoy unlimited nationwide calling and long distance. If someone in the household is trying for the title as fastest text messenger in the country, it will not send your budget into turmoil as Cricket plans comes with unlimited text service.

With discount pricing on a variety of popular phones and low cost service plans with no contract to sign, all with unlimited calling plans, Cricket is establishing new guidelines for cellular phone service. <bio>Nancy Corwin is a freelance editor for Cricket Coupons.
The most beneficial time to shop for the best cell phone plans is during the Christmas season. The specials are wonderful this time of year and you can find a great deal that will save you money for years to come. Also, the improve during the Christmas season are amazing. If you are planning to search for the best cell phone plans in your area, try shopping around the holidays.

I discovered the benefits of adopting a cell phone plan during the holiday season by accident. My husband bought a phone as my Christmas gift four years ago and we are happy that he did. He managed to nab one of the best cell phone plans I have ever encountered and there is no way we are changing one thing.

Our monthly payment never changes. The standard rate covers everything, including calls out of state as well. Of course, I can't call coast to coast without a charge but my calling area covers several states in the north eastern part of the United States which is really more than I need.

The best cell phone plans will offer a standard monthly rate for services. This monthly rate should cover all minutes. I could not imagine having to worry about the number of minutes I use each month and I really could not imagine having to consider the best times to place phone calls.

Many offers have peak hours that really rack up the cost of your phone service. These offers try to balance the high costs with special rates during certain times of the day. This is not attractive to me at all. I have enough trouble setting up my time and organizing my day.

Having to schedule phone calls as well would put me in a tailspin. The best cell phone plans don't make customers schedule their calls or wait for the most opportune time to contact friends and family. You should be able to make calls around the clock without worrying about the rates.

Finally, there are the person to person offers that allow callers to contact people within a certain circle. Not everyone has the same plan and in the same vein as scheduling phone calls, I also don't want to organize my friends, family and associates by their calling plans. The best cell phone plans will allow you more freedom than that.

During the next holiday season, consider shopping for a new offer from your phone company. You may find that the best cell phone plans make the best presents as well. <bio>Tracie M.
Businesses today rely on telecommunications to keep their employees connected, and one of the ways in which they accomplish this is through the use of conference calling. To help businesses keep costs down, many telecommunications companies offer cheap conference calling plans, and only by restricting themselves to cheap conference calling can businesses have any hope of increasing their profits and overall productivity while still staying connected.

Stay Informed

There is a definite need to stay informed. Businesses use conference calls to keep their employees connected and informed, whilst also keeping up to date with that employee's progress. Communication is a two-way flow. The need for cheap conference calling becomes necessary when teams are located all around the country, or maybe even throughout the world.

Consider the cost of an international conference call. Now multiply that cost by one call per month over the space of a year. Without cheap conference calling, these calls could very easily and quickly eat into any company's budget, taking away a lot of that company's profitability.

Sales Team Conference Calls

Most often, sales teams use conference calling to report their sales figures and daily progress. These calls are used for reporting as well as a way to keep the sales force motivated and competitive. If sales figures drop, the executives will soon be asking questions as to why.

When it is carried out during a conference call, a reprimand is executed within earshot of the person's peers. No-one wants this to happen to them, so this makes the reporting of good figures especially important. So it therefore follows that the use of conference calling is essential for any business that wants to remain competitive in today's global market.

Find an Inexpensive Plan

Your chosen telecommunications company should offer you a cheap conference calling plan, specifically designed and made for your type of business. Large or small, every business has different conference calling needs, so one-size-fits-all is not necessarily the order of the day.

What may be cheap conference calling to one company may not be cheap at all to another. Every company's idea of economical is different, so ask your local telecommunications company what plan they would advise to be the best choice for your company. If they want your business, they will try their hardest to give you a plan that is particularly suitable to your company's needs.

Do Your Homework

With advances in technology and the competitiveness of today's telecommunications company, a little homework should reveal a good cheap conference calling plan. Finding one that's inexpensive enough could bring more money to your company. With all that extra money, that could mean good things for everyone employed.

Cheap conference calling, provided the information provided on the calls is good news, might just mean a nice bonus for all employees at the end of the year. If nothing else, it will enable the company to use that extra money it will have made on more important things, like overtaking the competition to make their company the best in its respective industry.<bio>To learn much more about cheap conference calling, visit http://www.conferencecallingtoday.com where you'll find this and much more.</bio>

Do you have a whole herd of kids, each one screaming they want a cell phone? On one hand, you want to make sure you can get in touch with them and vice versa in the case of an emergency. On the other hand, you have the incredible expense (and experience telling us you can be twelve and survive without a phone on your hip!) Decisions, decisions. If you have talked yourself into letting your kids have a cell phone but the expense is holding you up, consider cell phone family plans.

Cell phone family plans are a great service offered by most major retailers. These plans have a set number of minutes, just as regular plans, but they are shared by all the phones in the plan. You can choose a small number of minutes for use in case of emergencies only or a larger number to accommodate everyone's calling needs. Typically, the first two lines are included in the plan and you pay a fee (around $10.00) per month for each additional line. Many of the companies offering cell phone family plans also have free mobile-to-mobile calling, in which calls to other people with the same service provider are free. This is great for cell phone family plans because members of the family can talk to each other for free. Free is a good term when dealing with cell phones and billing issues!

What might the downside be? If no rebates are available on the phones, purchasing several of them may be expensive. However, if you were already convinced to buy everyone phones, you would be out this expense anyway. The good news is there are often rebates available on specific model phones that the company is trying to sell. Therefore, you can potentially get all the cell phones you need for your family for almost nothing.

For some people there is a bigger issue with buying their kids cell phones. There is a great debate being argued over what age kids should be allowed to have cell phones or whether they should at all. Of course, with most adults having a cell phone permanently attached to them, it is little surprise that children are growing up thinking it is a necessity. One idea is to limit the amount of time your child can spend on the phone and maybe even making them pay for a portion or their entire bill. This is a way to teach responsibility and independence, while allowing them the freedom they desire. <bio>Julia Tanner is a professional writer.
People are always making phone calls. There is always someone to call and something to talk about. There are phones in every home and store in the country. Sometimes, however, it gets frustrating to pay so much to make long distance calls or to tr to find enough change to make a call at a pay phone. Fortunately, there are prepaid calling cards that can save the day.

Prepaid calling cards are just what their names says. Simply, they are a card that you prepay to make phone calls. You can buy prepaid calling cards at a variety of stores, supermarkets, and gas stations throughout the country. You can spend as little as ten dollars or as much as one hundred dollars on a card. The more money you spend, the more minutes you will be able to use the card to talk.

Prepaid calling cards are easy to use. There is an eight hundred number that you dial, followed by a pin number that you enter. An operator will tell you how many minutes remain on your prepaid calling card and then ask you to enter the number you wish to call. It is as simple as that. Dial the number, listen to the phone ring, and then have a nice conversation with a family member or friend.

Prepaid calling cards are convenient. When you are out and about and need to make a call, instead of having to find the correct amount of change, just pull your prepaid calling card out of your wallet and begin. No change needed. Or when you are wanting to make a long distance call, no need to worry about how much it will cost, just use your prepaid calling card to make the call.

You will definitely save money using a prepaid calling card. Not only will you be able to stop searching for spare change, but you will also be able to completely cancel your long distance phone service and use the card instead. There are no monthly fees and no charges per call. Once you buy the minutes you can use them to call a neighbor or a friend on the other side of the country.

Another great benefit of using a prepaid calling card is that you prepay. You know how much you are spending when you purchase the card, so there are no surprise phone bills at the end of the month. Your prepaid calling card will not work when the minutes run out, so you can easily track how much you have spent and how long you have talked. What a relief to not have a huge phone bill each month.

Prepaid calling cards are easy to use, they are really convenient for people with busy lifestyles, and they erase the dreaded monthly long distance phone bill when used instead of a plan. What more could you ask for? Get a prepaid calling card and don't leave your home without it! <bio>Triston Huntsmin has gotten out of a few tight spots simply by carrying a prepaid calling card. He has become a huge advocate of carrying a prepaid calling card to anyone who will read or listen.
If you are a victim of calling cards theft and do not want to repeat the same, make sure that the next time you are taking the necessary steps to stop the frauds from stealing your cards. Every one of us is vulnerable to the theft of important documents while we are traveling. You are also not an exception. Therefore, it is inevitable that you must take good care of your things when you are traveling. To help your card from being compromised to the thieves, given below are some recommendations that you can follow to avoid calling card theft:

- Your calling card is a unique way for identifying you as authorized user of the same. Do not use a calling card from a call-sell as it leaves the person with thousands of opportunities to get access to your number. If it is necessary to take out your card every time you have to make a call, there are chances that a caller may forget retrieving the number once a call is completed. It is also possible that the thief can see and memorize the number and use it for unfair means. Therefore, it is best if you can memorize the number yourself and keep away the card safe from public view.

- Call sell operators loiter around the places where the possibility of making a call is more using a calling card. They often take down the calling cards number of an unsuspecting, careless person and use the number for their own selfish means. Therefore, be careful about keeping the calling cards from public view and be careful about using your international calling cards.

- Operator assisted calls are another opportunity for the frauds to take notice of the calling card number. If you have to verbalize your number, to the operator, make sure that you are not overheard and speak in a normal conversational tone so that no one suspect you of telling an important codes. Then they may eavesdrop at your call.

- Do not share your number with anybody else, not even with your dearest colleagues who may need to make "just one call". You are supposed to guard the confidentiality of you calling card number like your Visa and credit card numbers.

- There is an important thing that you must remember as you are using international calling cards. No one is authorized to ask you about your calling card number except, of course, for the operator. If there is a call asking for the code of your calling card, do not give away the number, no matter how compelling the argument is.

- Do not use your number as an identification document. Remember that once your card is stolen, you are sure to lose a lot of money and communication with the required persons will hamper.

You must be very careful about your card so that the cards stay longer with you and serve your purpose of telecommunication. If you are careless, you may have to face the inconvenience, problems of lost calling cards and you will lose a lot of money and your telecommunication ability will be hampered.<bio>Smart-Phone-Cards.com offers calling cards, prepaid phone cards, international calling cards for Russia, India, China and other countries at affordable prices.</bio>

Endings are hard. Sometimes we cling to people, places, things, that we've outgrown, because of a nostalgia, or out of habit.

It's like having to put a beloved pet to sleep. It was the best thing, the most humane way, but it's just never easy.

As we grow, learn, strive, we have to let go of ways that we functioned in the past, ways of being that no longer apply to our present selves.

There are two things in sales that are not persuasive and will absolutely hinder your results. This article is about one of them.

Cold calling.

At a recent seminar an attendee asked me how criteria elicitation can be applied to cold calling. And my answer, in a nutshell was: It can't.

Here's why: cold calling is not selling. Cold calling is marketing. So I tell all of my students who cold call: STOP IT. Spend money and market yourself or your product or service.

If cold calling is a part of the business that you're involved in, supplement it with real marketing.

There are a few business that have to cold call. I understand that. Realtors farm areas all the time. It works in this profession and more likely still, they don't cold call, but they cold visit getting the face to face element to work in their favor.

And some stockers cold call prospect. Compliance hurts some businesses and cold calling is the only means to new business.

Maybe you don't have options, and cold calling is it. Well, if that's the case, just don't confuse marketing with selling.

In persuasion sales, we're looking for people who have their hands raised. As in: 'I'm looking for a product or service similar to what you have.' Cold calling, is the process of trying to get someone to raise their hand. After their hands are raised, then criteria elicitation becomes an issue.

My advice is: stop cold calling. Develop new clients from your current list of clients.
