Even in Jail Paris Hilton knows how to create buzz. As a business owner creating a healthy dose of buzz about your business is a must. Of course, you want your business to be known for skills more valuable than getting yourself in trouble.

You have to be determined to generate buzz about your products or services. The buzz has to be based on fact not fiction, but don't worry it doesn't have to be something outrageous that will land your name in the gossip magazines.

If you are waiting for the next big idea to hit you on the head, you are going to be greatly disappointed. You have to take a proactive measure in creating buzz about your business.

The Internet enables small business owners to create buzz quickly and inexpensively. With technology you can communicate with, entertain, and educate your customers. When you succeed you create an effective viral marketing campaign that can spread like cyber space fire.

Engage your customers on your site by asking them to respond to a site survey. Such survey engages your customers and it provides your company with quick information. If you don't have a lot of traffic post your survey to Web sites with significant traffic such as some of the more popular social networking sites.

Whatever method you are utilizing to create buzz around your business, you have to be able to measure it. If you can't measure it, you can't manage it. Once you have a system in place to measure the effectiveness of your buzz marketing campaign, you can quickly make adjustments to improve its effectiveness.

There are several factors to measure such as the number of new users, email registrants, and time spent on your web site. Don't just measure once in the beginning of your campaign. Measure religiously and keep measuring. To compare the rest of your site's performance with your buzz campaign performance, you should create a landing page. The landing page enables you to study the results isolated from the rest of your site.

Wouldn't it be nice to get the kind of buzz Paris Hilton gets without having to get arrested? <bio>webene http://www.webene.com </bio>

So what exactly is a buzz group as far as internet marketing goes?

Well, it's a group of friends who want to help each other achieve greater success than one could achieve alone. In general it means that when you put up a website, you tell your friends to go visit it. They do that and they tell their friends about the site.

But with Web2.0 marketing tactics and powerful social marketing available to us now, the concept of a buzz group goes even further. If you have a group of a few friends in internet marketing you can ask them to visit your new site and social bookmark it to a couple social bookmarking sites. If you have a Squidoo lens up you can ask that group of friends to go there and log into their account and rate your lens.

This is a great way to start a "buzz" about your new web site. It gets the search engines looking at your site when it has no page rank or traffic.

Of course building a list and on page SEO and off page optimization are vital. But all that takes a lot of time and effort. Lots of it.

Most of all you need one way links to your new baby. But getting them the normal way is frustrating. You email webmasters and ask for a link, or do a three way link, and well, it is necessary, but pretty darn frustrating.

When you're just getting started with a site you need immediate results. You need traffic, and you don't want to wait for the search engines to catch on to how beautiful your work is. That's where a buzz group can help. Each social bookmark your friends place gives you a link back to your site from a high PR social bookmarking site.

The larger your buzz group, the more one way links you'll receive. It's really pretty simple. You'll get good results with a buzz group of 5-10 friends, but imagine the links you'll get with 50 or 100 buzz group members. Imagine the page rank boost and the traffic. Something to think about.

Just have a system in place that prevents all those bookmarks from arriving at the same time. It has to be a drip effect. You can't ask 50 members to bookmark your site one day, and then nobody bookmarks it the next. That looks fishy. You have to get some members to bookmark the site today, some tomorrow and some the next day, etc. And you have to make it very simple for your buzz group members, or they will drop out.

That takes a lot of planning. And you definitely don't want to post a list of member URLS on a website and have them all click on the links to bookmark them. If you do that, then all the bookmarks will be originating at the same web page, and the search engines won't like that. Some social bookmarking sites might even ban you or delete those bookmarks. Be careful, and you can put the power of a buzz group into action for you and your friends. <bio>Amy Hutton is a longtime internet marketer who lives and works in sunny south Florida.
If you've searched with Y! lately -- at least in some browsers -- you may have noticed a new addition to their search result's page. If you use Netscape or Firefox, the upper right-hand corner of your search result's page now holds an orange box that holds -- The Buzz. Yahoo!'s Buzz Log has been around for a few years, but you used to have to go looking for it to find out what people were Buzzing about. Now Y! puts it in your face - and frankly, I'm not sure what all it's good for.

For those of you who aren't up to speed on the Yahoo Buzz, here's a quick recap. Every day, Yahoo records all the searches that are entered on its pages. Over the next twenty four hours, those searches are indexed, tabulated, calculated and sorted, and the next day -- 48 hours later -- Y! publishes 'the Buzz Index' in a number of different forms. Want to know what was on people's minds two days ago? You can get a quick snapshot by checking today's Buzz Index page. There's a Buzz Index for entertainment, movies, music, sports, movie stars and overall. But what's it all mean? Here it is straight from the horse's mouth:

A subject's buzz score is the percentage of Yahoo! users searching for that subject on a given day, multiplied by a constant to make the number easier to read. Weekly leaders are the subjects with the greatest average buzz score for a given week.

So... it's an index of the most popular searches on Yahoo! The Buzz publishes daily, weekly and monthly stats, so you can track trends over time. You can even get a subscription to the Yahoo Buzz Index and personalize it with customized search terms -- but those don't show up in your search results page when you do a search--you have to go to your Buzz Index page for them. What does show up is the top ten general daily searches. In fact, for today, no matter what I'm actually searching for, here's what I get in that little box:

1.pussycat dolls 2.NFL draft grades 3.the ultimate fighter 4.may 1 boycott 5.Madonna tickets 6.Howard stern 7.Chinese astrology 8.project runway 9.Terence Howard 10.Bahamas hotels

So exactly what is the point of plopping that orange box in one of the prime pieces of SERP real estate? It doesn't tell me anything relevant to my search (I searched for test scores, for nursing degrees and for consumer index). If I click on one of the ranked items, it feeds me the search results for that term. If I click on 'More Buzz' at the bottom, it takes me to the Buzz Index where I can read the latest blog entry.

To make it even more useless, the Buzz box only works in a few browsers. In the others, there's either a blank column -- or the Sponsor Results -- which at least are contextually related to what I'm searching. Where's the value added? About the only thing that it does is clutter up a space that could be used so much more profitably.

Now if Y! wanted to actually make this thing useful, here are a few suggestions.

First -- make it contextually sensitive. If I type in a search for 'tests,' I'd find a list of related popular searches a WHOLE lot more useful than knowing that most of America is searching for info on the Pussycat Dolls two days ago.

Second, never mind the ranking -- give me the numbers! How many people searched for Pussycat Dolls? Maybe it's something I should know about, hmm?

Third -- move it! I don't refer to that place as 'prime real estate' for nothing. The upper right hand corner of your browser is one of the first places the eye lands on a page. It's one of the reasons that you put important things in that space when you're designing your pages. Why waste it? <bio>http://www.TheBlogMarket.com </bio>

Sure, you want more one way links. And you know social bookmarking is the easiest way to get them. All the top social bookmarking sites have a high <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/google+page+rank" rel="tag">Google page rank.

So you ask your buddies to bookmark your website to some of the bookmarking sites. Four of them actually do as you asked. And you probably got yourself 4-8 one way links out of that. But where do you get more?

The problem is that your Buzz Group is too small! Luckily you can get all the buzz partners you want every day of the week by joining My Buzz Group .

My Buzz Group (aka MBG) is a very new membership site set up to help members get a lot of one way backlinks from the social marketing sites. It does so in a unique way.

Other buzz groups overwhelm you with 4-5 emails a day, each asking you to bookmark up to four sites to a site of their choosing. (Waaay too much work. And it looks fishy when 100 people bookmark your site the same day, but nobody does tomorrow.)

MBG has simplified the whole process. Each member submits one URL to a database. With each page refresh a new random URL is shown. The URL isn't hyperlinked. If it was and evedryone clicked on that link to bookmark, it would surely leave a footprint. All those bookmarks from just one page? No way.

So MBG doesn't hyperlink their random URLs. Members must copy and paste the random URL into their own browser to visit it and leave a bookmark.

Each member is obligated to bookmarking just three randomly displayed URLS once a week. And they can bookmark to any service they wish. Some members will use socialposter.com to make it easy to place a bookmark for a random URL to several social media sites. This will multiply the results.

Since people log in at different times of the day, and everybody gets a fresh URL to mark, there are no floods of bookmarks to any one service. Sort of a "drip" effect. Much more natural.

The random URL a member submits can be changed in the member area at any time they wish. They would do this to bookmark more pages in the websites than just the index page.
It seems that the brand new buzz mosquito ringtone is not a secret anymore amongst the youth today--in fact, most of them have it already in their phones. What really is this ringtone we're talking about and what made it so attractive that teenagers get the mosquito ringtone?

Howard Stapleton, the inventor of the mosquito buzz ringtone didn't really expect that the outcome of his innovative invention would be like this. His original goal was to shoo away the kids roaming around his shop, but it looks like teenagers have turned the tables around--the have used the buzz mosquito ringtone to get past their teachers.

As a person grows older, his or her hearing ability deteriorates (its medical term is Presbycusis). This is true for the fact that most people above the age of 70 already need aides before they can hear the person talking. Also, this is a natural phenomenon, so you don't need to worry about it--everyone gets it.

The explanation as to how the buzz mosquito ringtone works is quite simple: since older people lose their hearing abilities through age, there are some certain frequencies that are inaudible to them. For example, low-pitched sounds or infrasound such as an airplane getting ready for take off can be heard by everyone, provided that he or she can still hear and is not deaf. That's a different case. On the other hand, high-pitched sounds, also known as ultrasound, such as the dog's faint whine cannot be heard by most people above the age of 24. A mosquito's recorded frequency is about 17.4 kHz, and only people below the said age can hear it--the higher the frequency, the lower the age group. The relation is somewhat inversely proportional.

Kids and teenagers alike have made a solution to their parent and teacher related problems. If they're barred from using their mobile phones in class because their school rules say so, do you really think it will stop them from using it? The answer is no. Teenagers are becoming more and more creative nowadays and they will do everything (emphasis given to that) just to make the impossible possible. The buzz mosquito ringtone, which was originally made to be used against them, had in fact been beneficial to them.

The original creator of the mosquito sound also made available a buzz mosquito ringtone for a fee--the same as what is available on the internet, but due to some conversion problems during upload, the quality of free downloads on the internet seem to falter).

Due to the technological advancements nowadays, teenagers were able to duplicate the buzz mosquito ringtone with just a couple of clicks on their phones. They were able to get the mosquito ringtone too from different available computer sources such as the internet (you can download it for free in some websites and in different formats, too), peer to peer file sharing stand-alone programs, torrents etc., and from their friends' mobile phones using high technologies like Bluetooth, infrared, multi-media messaging, PC sync, etc. So, get the mosquito ringtone now!<bio>Danielle Singh writes for http://www.ringtone-jam.com.
Creating something buzzworthy can be a challenge, but a challenge worth achieving. If you can create something buzzworthy enough to get everyone buzzing about it and spreading the message virally, then you've succeeded in doing something that most marketers only dream of.

Let's take a look at buzzworthiness from the perspective of the psychology of human motivation. If we can grasp the concept of what motivates us as humans, then we'll have a better understanding of how to utilize the motivation factors to encourage the viral spread of our message through starting a buzz.

The famous psychologist Abraham Maslow presented what he called the "Hierarchy of Needs". According to this hierarchy, if a human doesn't have their basic needs met, then they will be motivated mostly by meeting those basic needs first, giving less importance to the other needs. Let's take a look at this hierarchy below:

1. Physiological needs: Food, water, shelter, and sex. 2. Safety: Freedom from the threat of physical and emotional harm. 3. Social Needs: Friendship, belonging, and love. 4. Esteem Needs: Achievement, recognition, and reputation. 5. Self-Actualization: Truth, meaning, and wisdom.

After fulfilling one group of needs starting with physiological needs, then we will become more motivated to fulfill the next set of needs, which graduates us to the next set of needs, until we fulfill self-actualization at the top of the hierarchy. This can essentially be seen as a scale of motivation. The things that motivate us are the things that fulfill one or more of our needs.

So here's an example of how to easily create a buzz: Give out free food to famine stricken people. Those peoples primary motivation would be to attain food, and if you provide it free, they will be buzzing to get it, because it fulfills their basic needs. Does this example have much relevance to modern marketing? What do you think would happen if you gave out free hamburgers to people at a festival? You'd create a buzz and people would remember you. People walking away with their free burgers would meet other people and say "They're giving out free burgers over there", thus propagating your message virally via word of mouth and creating a buzz.

Okay I admit, there's another concept here that makes it buzzworthy. The concept is to have something unique about your message/product/service. People will buzz about free burgers because A) it fulfills one of their basic needs, and B) the offer is unique because it's free. If burgers were always free, then there would be nothing to buzz about.

For people that have their physiological and safety needs met, it is easier to create a buzz through the motivation to meet their social and esteem needs. A few of the greatest examples of viral marketing such as Hotmail, MyJournal, MySpace, and Friendster are all examples of this. These companies created a buzz because they offered something unique that fulfill the social and esteem needs through social communications, and social networking.

In these cases, the word of mouth buzz gets spread even faster because by spreading the word they fulfill their social and esteem needs at the same time as fulfilling it from the service they're spreading the word about. It works the same even with the example of free burgers. When someone walks away with a free burger, they are inclined to go tell their friends about it, because it will boost their reputation, recognition, and strengthen their friendship. Their friends will be excited and happy to get a free burger thanks to you being the one to tell them about it. This is a key point in buzzworthiness and if understood and implemented with the right ideas and the right messages, can increase your buzz exponentially.

If you have a message, product, or service that is unique and fulfills one or more of our human needs, then you are on your way to creating a buzz. If it is something that is so good that people's reputation and recognition becomes boosted amongst those they tell about it, then it's definitely buzzworthy! The only thing left is to tell people to spread the word about it, and make it as easy as possible for them to spread it (ie. Viral tools such as tell-a-friend scripts, hand outs, pamphlets, e-mail forwarding, articles they can freely publish, etc...).

Good luck creating a buzz! <bio>Jambhala Rinpo is a viral marketing enthusiast and experimenter.
Have you heard the latest teen buzz?

This buzz is not about the hottest celebrity gossip making the headlines today, nor is it about the newest club giving free shots of your choice of liquor. The "buzz" that we're talking about here is supposed to be taken literally, and if you're guessing that it has something to do with sound, then you're right.

The latest "teen buzz" in town goes by the name "Mosquitone". It's the latest addition to the long list of downloadable ringing tones on the internet, and is doing quite well among teenagers today--so well that it has been alternatively named as the "teen buzz".

Curious?

The creator of this special sound is Howard Stapleton, a local entrepreneur from the United Kingdom. Teenagers have been his biggest problem back in his hometown as they have been lurking around his shop day and night. Through ingenuity and innovation, he was able to make a solution to his long-time problem: he made a sound that only teenagers could hear and adults could not (the sound has the same frequency like that of a mosquito's buzz, hence, the name). As a person gets older, the quality of his/her hearing declines. Mr. Stapleton took advantage of this natural phenomenon and upon experimenting with his own kids, he was able to device the perfect solution to shoo away the kids in his shop.

The sound is not at all deafening to the ears, however, those who could hear it (the teenagers for this matter), find it irritating, hence, they flee.

But, if you think Howard Stapleton is a genius, then so are the kids who devised a way to make this sound beneficial for them (ironically, it was made against them, not for them). They made it into a ringtone and downloaded it into their respective phones.

Perhaps you ask, "What's wrong with that?" Today, it poses a very big problem among schools (both High School and College) due to the fact that kids have taken advantage of this new technology. Since adults cannot hear the said sound, kids who hear this mosquito ringtone in their mobile phones have the freedom to send and receive text messages, wherever and whenever they wish to. It is a fact that mobile phones are not allowed during class hours, but with the kids' creativity, not even school rules can stop them from using their gadgets to communicate with others. But aside from the issue of mobile phones as a source of distraction, the mosquito ringtone poses a threat to schools regarding the issue of cheating. Since teenagers can communicate with others without the knowledge of their teachers (assuming that the teachers are not within their age group), sending a text message to the person in front of you, asking for the answer to question number 21, has never been this easy.

Indeed, technology has proven itself to be beneficial to the human race, (mainly teens and early 20 year olds), but the ironic part is that it was first conceived to drive teens away, now it is quickly becoming the must have Ringtone for teens.<bio>Danielle enjoys keeping up with the latest music and ringtone trends.
Seems like every time you turn around someone is hawking the latest and greatest new internet marketing ebook that is sure to make you rich. If you're an internet marketer chances are really good that you've been burned at least once by an ebook that was all fluff and absolutely useful information. Or worse yet, the author, deliberately or not, leaves out a step that leaves you scratching your head over how to execute what you did learn. It's enough to make you scream if you're really serious about learning how to build an online business.

By now you've heard the Who Loves Money buzz. It's the new ebook from Kyle and Carson, Wealthy Affiliate founders, that are claiming they can teach you how to make money online with zero investment internet marketing techniques. It claims to blow the lid off the current internet marketing theories that have been around for decades. The start up costs are supposed to be minimal and there are some techniques which require no money at all.

Most folks are thinking that it's just another internet marketing ebook. That's a true enough statement. However, the Who Loves Money buzz claims are that it's different in the fact that although the techniques presented are not necessarily brand new, these zero investment internet marketing techniques are said to be explored in depth and then explained in a way that is supposed to be easy to understand as well as easy to apply.

If you're new to internet marketing, then you should know that a number of standard website promotion techniques can get very expensive. If you aren't sure what you're doing, you could end up costing yourself money rather than making any. Here are some examples of what can be considered zero investment marketing techniques.

Niche Hunting - Deciding what topic to base your website on can be difficult. Building a site about a topic you enjoy doesn't necessarily mean that you can make a profit. You must learn how to choose a niche that has good profit potential.

Selection of Niche Keywords - You may have picked out a profitable niche, but if you target the wrong keywords for your webpages, you have just shot yourself in the foot. There is an art to selecting the keywords that will turn visitors into customers.

Affiliate Product Selection - You need to be able to review and select an appropriate product to promote on your site. A great website and a lousy affiliate product equals not many sales or lots of refunds. Refunds equal revoked commissions and that's something you don't want to happen.

Article Marketing - Writing topic based articles, usually 300-700 words, and submitting them to article directories. While this seems very easy, there is most definitely a specific technique to making it effective and productive.

Zero investment internet marketing techniques are not the hot new thing. They've been around for quite a while now, but are currently getting lots of attention. The Who Loves Money buzz is definitely building, but whether or not this ebook lives up to its claims still remains to be seen. <bio>As an up and coming internet marketer, RA Welch has real world experience.
When doing some research on email marketing, it is important to know some buzz words, key words, and things to consider so that you are properly informed. As a small business owner email marketing will greatly benefit you, as it helps you stay in contact with your current client or potential clients. It is an important service that can greatly increase sales. Therefore it is important to be informed before making a choice on the email marketing solution you are choosing.

The following is a glossary of email marketing buzz words that you might come across, and what they mean to you and your business.

Deliverability: This is a term that refers to the success of your campaigns being delivered to your subscribers. Think of it as deliver-ability. The deliverability of a system is dependent upon the relationship that your email marketing service provider has with the Internet Service Providers (ISPs). The top ranked email marketing will have set up communications with all the ISPs, which enhances the deliverability of your emails.

I.P. Address: This is an identification number that gets associated to your computer. When accessing web-pages and browsers, or sending out email, the device that you are sending from has an IP address associated to it. It can be likened to your "passport" to the Internet. For email marketing, an IP address gets assigned a reputation based on the content of your emails and the previous times you have sent out. By receiving many spam complaints, or a large percentage of bounce-back numbers, this has an effect on the reputation of the IP address (similar to the effect that bringing drugs over the border and getting caught would have on your passport). The ISPs have the authority to shut off your internet service or disallow you to send email on mass (blacklisting) if your IP address has received too many spam complaints. The top-ranked email marketing provides white-listing

White Listing: This is a status that the top ranked email marketing companies have attributed to their service by every and all ISPs around the world. This is created by the email marketing company through its reputation with the ISPs. They have to have a long standing relationship of proven performance.

Black Listing: An IP address can get blacklisted by the spam bots used by the ISP providers. These robots determine whether or not you are sending out spam. This is determined by your content, the response from people who receive the email, and the bounces that are associated to the account. Blacklisting means that the ISP blacks you from being able to send out, which means that your emails will not be delivered (Bounced) or land in people's junk mail box.

Feedback Loops: The best email marketing companies have this in place in order to increase the reputation of IP address. This is a communication that occurs between the IP address and the ISP detailing how a spam complaint has been dealt with, or removed from the mailing list from the person that has reported the complaint.

Make sure that you know what you are looking for in an email marketing, so that you campaigns will be as successful as can be.
As the saying goes, a picture says a thousand words. It is necessary for you to include a few funny Myspace pics to generate buzz for your website. If not, your profile will be too dull and boring for any passerby to even glance at. Should this happen, any content you might have pain-staking added to your profile page will be wasted as potential visitors ignore your profile page. Funny Myspace pics will help you grab the attention of the viewers and entice them into viewing your profile.

We have to be careful in choosing the type of funny pictures we want to include in our profile. This is because some jokes might be too offensive. These jokes may cover sensitive issues such as religion, political or even gender issues. Insensitive or distasteful material will earn you the disgust of the online community and might ruin your online reputation.

The picture should not be too personal as well. It should not be disrespectful or derogative to any notable person. This is because that by insulting others on the internet, you create a negative persona that turns people off. This could hurt your website. Even if you offer original and exciting content on your MySpace website, readers may not want to add you as a friend or contact because they may deem you hostile and offensive. This will hinder your ability to promote your product or service online.

After choosing the right pictures to include in your profile, you have to decide on the number of pictures you would like to include in your profile. There should not be too many photos in your profile as the content in the profile is equally important. If there are too many pictures, the pictures will distract the viewer's attention away from the content of the profile page, which defeats the informative nature of profile pages. Therefore, the pictures should only be there to support the content of the profile, and not to "steal" from the "limelight" of informative content.

Since the purpose of funny pictures is to attract new viewers for your MySpace account, you will have to constantly update your profile page with new pictures. If not, there is a possibility that you will lose your current visitors, as they are no longer interested in your profile page anymore if the pictures are not updated regularly.

Using funny and attractive pictures on your profile helps you to widen your network. It will save you the time of browsing around MySpace in an attempt to try to invite people to view your profile. When your profile looks attractive enough, people will take the initiative to look at your profile. You do not even have to invite them to view your page. All you have to do is to constantly update your profile with relevant information and attractive pictures.

Using funny MySpace pics to generate buzz for your website is a really nice way to make your profile interesting and attractive and at the same time, providing useful information to the others.
What pops into your mind when you hear the word buzzworthy or even just buzz?

Well for starters, when I hear the word buzz on its own, I think of bees swarming around a hive full of honey. If I think a little further I get an image of a busy New York street, a mall full of people, or even a festival/parade. These things also bring me back to the image of the bees buzzing around a hive of honey, the only difference is that they're people, and the honey is something that attracts them there.

The honey in New York would be business opportunities, social opportunities, and entertainment. In a busy mall, it's the stores with the products and services they offer. A festival or parade has festivities, extravagant performances, or entertainment value. All these things are what we could call buzzworthy, because they attract a crowd of buzzing bustling people excited and active.

So now let's put these images in the frame of business and word of mouth/buzz marketing. When we're trying to develop a viral marketing campaign, we need something buzzworthy. So let's look for some honey that'll get the bees swarming. Since we're probably not selling honey to bees, we'll need to find something that is sweet enough that will attract a swarm of buzzing excited customers for a feeding frenzy.

This is where things could get challenging though. It would seem that there are so many products and services out there, with so many marketing campaigns, that the swarms have scattered and become uninterested. They've headed for the honey one too many times with the thought of how sweet it will be, only to discover a bitter muck or molasses at best. This causes them to become discouraged, untrusting, and wary of the next guy who advertises honey.

Don't let this get you down, or stop you from releasing a product. The fact that there are so many dud products out there can be your opportunity to release a good one. According to the contrast principle, those dud products can actually boost your recognition just by your ability to be so much better than the competition.

Now I can sense that some of you are probably thinking andquot; How can I be sure my product is better than the competition?andquot; It's simple; just make a product that is buzzworthy, which means making your product sweet enough to attract a swarm of buzzing customers. How? Through excellence! People talk and get excited about excellence, and that is buzzworthiness. Here's a breakdown of how to be sure your product is excellent.

- Don't overhype your product and then underdeliver. You may get a swarm on the initial product launch, but when those buzzing bees find out that your honey is really molasses, the buzz will be silenced, and you can say goodbye to your customers, because they won't be coming back for more. Only amateurs focus on the first sale.

- Give your customers a high return on their investment. This means deliver what you promised, at a fair price, and then overdeliver. Give them more than what they asked for. Add value to your product where-ever value can be added. Stick behind your product, give support for your product, guarantee your product or their money back, and tack on some bonuses for buying your product.

- Create a good Unique Selling Proposition (USP). Your USP is an attention grabbing phrase that addresses a few of the following: What you're selling, how much, key benefits, andamp;/or why buy from you. This is an important part of your product creation process and is best if it's short, sweet, catchy, and enticing. Pay attention to the word andquot;uniqueandquot; in there, because you need to have a unique quality that makes you stand out from the rest of the crowd. You also want to make sure that your USP is believable. Most people know the old saying andquot; If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isandquot;, and if that pops into their mind when they read your USP, then you're sunk.

Hype your product, and then overdeliver! Excellence is buzzworthy, and if you go that extra mile for your customer, and if you exceed their expectations, then they will be excited about you and your product, and they will tell others about it.

Q) What is buzzworthiness? A) Buzzworthiness is something that is buzzworthy.

Q) How do we judge what's buzzworthy? A) If it's buzzworthy, then it will create a buzz.

Q) What defines a marketing buzz? A) If customers are excited about a product, telling others about it, and coming back for more with a swarm behind them in a feeding frenzy.

So there you have it folks. I hope this gives you a better idea of how viral/word of mouth/buzz marketing works, and how you can create a buzz with your product/service. Just one more key to note is that you should study the concept here, then innovate, and improve upon it. Some of the biggest buzzes I'm sure are still to come, and you might just be the one to start them buzzing. <bio>Jambhala Rinpo Internet entrepreneur focussing on Viral Marketing, Affiliate Management, and Joint Venture Brokering. http://www.ViralMarketingBuzz.com http://www.AffiliateSuperNetwork.com http://www.JointVentureNetwork.net </bio>

A writer is sitting at his desk trying to work on an article that is due tomorrow. He knows what he wants to say, but he just can not seem to put it into words. He decides to pull out his trusty thesaurus to try to find the right words to convey his message. The writer finds some words that he thinks will fit perfectly into his article, but he is not sure, because they are outside his vocabulary. The writer consults his dictionary to make sure that the words he has found actually describe the meaning he is trying to convey. After consulting his most important tools, the writer completes his article, and is very happy with his finished product, and so is his editor.

A dictionary is a great tool for any writer's arsenal that can expand your vocabulary, and help you find the words that you need when you are writing. You definitely want to pull out your dictionary when you think that a word will fit in your writing, but you are not quite sure about the word's meaning. Also the dictionary can help you see different ways to use a word, or different meanings for the same word. You have to be careful sometimes, because many words have multiple meanings, and readers might be confused about the meaning of the word the writer was trying to use.

A thesaurus is another very important tool for every writer to have on hand when writing. A thesaurus gives synonyms for words, which means that it gives you a choice of multiple different words that have a very similar meaning to the word you looked up. This can be very helpful when you are trying to spice up your writing. Every writer can get stuck in a rut by using the same words in many of their pieces. A thesaurus will combat this by giving you a plethora of different words to use. Without using a thesaurus your writing will become very dull and redundant. With a dictionary and a thesaurus by your side, you should be able to accomplish any task. <bio>Visit the Dictionary of Words and Thesaurus Online. http://www.dictionaryofwords.com/ </bio>

Do spam filters work? Even though it is estimated that 90 billion spam emails are sent worldwide every day the use of spam filters is still questioned.

The term spam filter can also be known as anti-spam software. This piece of software analysis's your incoming email and uses a number of rules to decide whether the mail that you are receiving is legitimate email or not. So in answer to whether spam filters work or not the answer is yes. The extent as to how good they work depends on the spam filter that you have chosen. Some spam filters work better than others.

A decent spam filter will block about 99% of spam through filtering `buzz' words that refer to adult content and medical supplies, which are mainly based on weight loss supplements. As well as filtering words based on a blacklist, a spam filter will also block explicit images.

Another feature of most spam filters is to scan for viruses. This is done on both inbound and outbound messages. Any viruses that are found are then blocked straight away. This feature is especially important to business owners whose reputation could be at risk if viruses are spread through to clients through messages that are in their outbox.

When we look at emails we can tell straight away what it spam mail and what is a genuine email, most the time without even having to open the message. To a computer however all the emails that you receive look the same, meaning your computer needs help to filter through what is spam and what is actual emails from people who are on your contact list or from people who are trying to contact you.

Many spammers know that spam filters work by filtering out words that have been blacklisted, that refer to typical goods/services that spammers are `promoting.' Due to this many spammers try and get around spam filters by using incorrect spelling, inappropriate spacing and replacing letters with numbers on words that they know wouldn't get through a spam filter. It is because of facts such as this that when you are choosing a spam filter that you get the best one you can for your personal/business needs.

A spam filter/anti spam solution means you get full control of the emails that you receive and often you get a feature with your spam filter/anti spam solution that is known as a dashboard. This dashboard gives you complete visibility of exactly what emails are being blocked meaning that you can set it so that none of the emails you wish to receive are accidentally blocked by your spam filter.

If you are using a spam filter within your business then you will notice how through the use of one your business will become more productive, saving you money and time.

Filtering through emails yourself wastes time that could be used up working or taking care of more important tasks, so why not let a spam filter do this for you. <bio>Helen Cox is the web master of MySpamBin, home to all your Spam Filtering needs. http://www.myspambin.com/articles/spamfiltering.asp </bio>

There can never be any guarantees in the process of connecting your company with capital because there are so many factors that impact an investor's decision to invest. Unfortunately, even when a company has none of these obstacles, they can still fail in their quest for private equity funding because the interest of the investor wanes. An institutional investor or venture capital firm may decide they need to diversify and will not invest in a specific sector, even though they professed interest right up to negotiations of a term-sheet. A private investor may decide to invest in another project that rings a specific emotional bell or may have a personal matter that needs attention, sidelining any private equity investment transaction. Often, entrepreneurs make the mistake blitzing through investors and never providing updates, so when the circumstances change and the investor is ready, they are onto the next new opportunity rather than the deal they saw two months before. They either assume the company got their funding or have failed since they never heard from them again.

To create a Buzz about your deal and generate momentum for your offering, you need to tap in to the investor network you are creating with investors by communicating with them. Additionally, making a easy to remember buzz or tag line that investors will pass onto other investors is imperative to getting your message pass along. Investors who liked the deal, but have not yet invested, are your BEST source for potential new investors. Therefore it is important to keep interested investors updated with news about your company to increase the likelihood of investment. Maintaining communication, with not yet committed investors, is imperative to a successful capital raise.

Communicate with existing investors so they can 'brag' to their friends (and potential investors). Have an 'elevator pitch' with an easy verbal explanation, so that after the presentation, investors walk away able, and desiring to talk about this hot offering they just saw.

For companies ready to meet with investors http://www.launchfn.com/id213.html <bio>As a venture catalyst with LAUNCHfn and NBAI, accelerates the capital raising process by delivering resources and capital. $23.7 Million in funding transactions have been completed since 1994 through the Private Equity Investor Forum.
Once you have made the decision to have hair transplant surgery, you are probably jumping ahead to thinking about your post-op plans. You most likely cannot wait to see the faces on your friends and acquaintances when they notice your new full head of hair. In the meantime, you have to go through the surgery and take care so that your hair transplant will be successful.

Your hair transplant will not heal unless you keep the newly operated-on skin out of the sunlight. The surgery will make the skin especially sensitive. If you protect the skin on your scalp after getting a scalp hair transplant, you will help the wounds heal much faster.

You can start out by getting some kind of hat. It does not matter what kind of hat it is, as long as it is fairly loose-fitting so that it does not rub on your new hair transplant grafts. You should not have to put up with this for long. After a couple of weeks, you can replace the cap with sunscreen. It should have an SPF of at least 30.

Having just the right amount of blood flow to the hair transplant sites will make a big difference in how fast they heal. For example, you need to make sure you get enough blood flow during the night. You can do this by sleeping on pillows to elevate your head. Your usual pillows can be used, or you can buy wedge-shaped pillows made for this purpose.

On the other hand, you do not want too much blood flow. You should get plenty of rest after your hair transplant surgery. For the first few weeks it is not wise to engage in any physically demanding activities. Then, the blood flow will be too much. Your transplants may start to bleed.

It is important to clean your hair just as your doctor recommends after hair transplant surgery. You will be given a special shampoo to use and specific instructions on how and when to use it. It is necessary to clean gently but thoroughly. At first, you may find yourself rinsing your hair many times a day.

Just be sure that you do not bother the hair transplant site by scratching or rubbing it.

Your hair transplant doctor will want you to come in for a check of your transplants about a week after your surgery. Be sure to be at that appointment on time. If you have any questions about how to care for your hair, bring them up at that time.

Ask your doctor when you will be ready to use a comb on your new hair. You might be surprised at how soon you can use one. Then, your doctor will schedule other check-ups, which you should also attend.

At first it may seem as if you have to be very careful with your hair - and you do! It does not make sense to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars having your hair transplant surgery and then not follow through with good care. However, in no time at all, you will be treating this new hair just as you treated the hair you once had there. <bio>David Riewe is the Editor of Daves Health Buzz.
If you've decided you're going to apply for a college internship, the next steps you take will be vitally important; internships very rarely fall out of the sky and right into your lap. Finding an internship does not have to dominate all of your time and energy, nor does it have to be a frustrating process. There are three easy, basic steps that every internship job-seeker should adopt for their search.

1) Network

They say that the number one way to find an internship is through networking, but unlike the decades ago, the word "networking" has taken on a number of meanings. You should definitely talk to friends and family, and spread the word about your internship search. Make sure that you are as specific as possible about what you are looking for, so you aren't bombarded with offers that are not going to suit your needs. Chances are, however, there will be family members who encourage you to take on positions with their own companies that may not be the best choice for your future career.

After your personal networks, reach out to your internet networks including Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn and other sites. You can do as little as posting your status as "looking for an internship; let me know if you know of anything" or reaching out to people in your circle who work at desirable companies or organizations in your field.

Finally, hit the Internet to look for internships. There are tons of sites devoted to job searches, many that specialize in internship and entry level positions. Don't just send a ton of resumes out blindly; target specific people and industries, and treat each communication as a possible job. It is always possible that you may not be right for one job, but your good impression can land you in another position's job pile.

2) Pitch

Your cover letter and resume are your pitch, the information that you are choosing to broadcast to your potential internships. Put a large amount of through into how you want to present yourself, and pay particular attention to any similarities that internships ads might have with each other. Each year, there are a certain number of buzz words and skills that pop up in the workforce. Reading through a number of internships ads and descriptions will help you figure out what they are, and this will help you writing a winning cover letter and resume for your internship.

It's important to note however that buzz words are not enough, and you can't rely on jargon to get an internship. Be personal, and really think about how you will fit into the internship position. Be open about strengths, and show enthusiasm. The best candidates are those who don't have to be asked "Is this a position you might be interested in?" The answer should be obvious from the cover letter through the interview.

3) Smile

For the most competitive internships, recruiters and hiring managers are more often than not looking for reason not to hire you. This is true at every step, and seems much less callous when you consider how many cover letters and job applications they must receive on a given day. This means that there are many things about the decision that are out of your control, and you can't take it personally.

What you can do is stay positive, particularly during the interview process and beyond. Don't get upset if no one calls you right away, or if people ask you the same questions over and over (they will!). Don't get upset if they lose your resume and ask you to send another one. Smile if during the interview, the recruiter indicates that she doesn't think that you're right for the job; it might be a test, or she might be having a bad day. The only thing that you can ultimately control is how people see you, and you want that impression to be cool, mature and positive. Who wouldn't want someone with those qualities to be their intern?<bio>All Fortune 500 companies advertise student internships online. High caffeine energy drinks tend to give the user somewhat of a caffeine buzz, which is why many people refer to them as buzz drinks.

High caffeine energy boosters are popular among athletes because they give them a boost of energy before a game. Many athletes are using these drinks as a safer and legal alternative to steroids. Some flavored energy drinks contain herbal ingredients to give an extra energy boost as well. Athletes, particularly high school and college athletes, are often tested for drug use, including steroids and other amphetamines. Energy boosters do not test positive for any kind of illegal drugs but have some of the same effects as the steroids and amphetamines do.

Teenagers use flavored energy drinks for many reasons, but mostly to get the buzz from them. Buzz drinks are regularly served at teen and young adult parties so that the guests can party well into the night with plenty of energy to burn. Some teens and college students use high caffeine energy drinks to stay up studying with a clear, awake mind.

Adults use flavored energy drinks to mix with alcohol to prepare mixed drinks. These energy mixers are popular at bars and clubs as well as adult hosted parties. Alcohol is a depressant, so mixing high caffeine energy boosters with the alcohol tends to counteract the depressant effect of the alcohol and allows the adults to stay awake. Some adults feel that the energy mixers will heighten the effect of the alcohol but studies to this effect have not been published.

Many adults with busy lifestyles will drink high caffeine energy drinks just to get through their day. On average, adults are now getting only 5 to 6 hours of sleep per night. Combine the lack of rest with the high energy required for daily activities and energy boosters come in handy to keep going. It is not recommended to drink high caffeine energy boosters in the evening if you want to sleep well, however.

High caffeine energy drinks have been studied and have been scientifically proven to work. The effects are short term, however, and the energy derived will cause a "crash" after the caffeine wears off. The more energy you get the bigger crash you will endure. So it is recommended not to have too many of these drinks in close proximity to one another. They can also cause other side effects such as increased heart rate when taken in excess.

The amount of energy derived from energy boosters can be equivalent to a couple of shots of espresso. If you don't like espresso or don't have time to drink an entire pot of coffee, then flavored energy drinks might be just what you need for a quick shot of energy.<bio>Matt Franks is director of Fluid Branding, the UK's largest supplier of Promotional Energy Drinks and other Promotional Products at www.fluidbranding.com.
Words hurt, heal, motivate, and aggravate. They are powerful. They control emotions and can even control a person physically.

A word is worth a thousand pictures.

"Come here." Two words that move a person from there to here.

"Write this down." Three words that cause people to put words on a page.

"Remember a time when you felt angry." Seven words that can create an overload of emotions.

Your words are power. Think of the number of people you have made smile by saying, "I really appreciate you." Or the number of people you have hurt by saying, "What's wrong with you? Can't you do anything right?"

Words possess just as much power when spoken to a crowd of a thousand as in a one on one conversation. It's one thing to get one person excited, but impassion an entire group, and you have irresistible intensity on your side.

Use your words more effectively...

1. Understand their influence. Do not use or choose your terms lightly. A wrong word can turn an audience from friends to fiends. The better you know your group the better you can tailor your terms for their benefit.

You get to choose the outcome. Want the group to be charged, mad, excited, encouraged, content, or happy? You can produce any of those by using the right words in the right way.

2. Don't be afraid to be edgy. Too many speakers are soft. You can be tough without being obnoxious, or insulting a group's intelligence. You can humorous and still make a hard-hitting point.

I got in at 1 a.m. last night after spending two days speaking to 1,500 people. Get this -- all the reviews came back at the top level, and I was tough on the folks. Several came up and said, "You're not afraid to tell it like it is!" The words I chose challenged the group without breaking them.

What about your words? Do you toss them out lightly, or with precision power? Your words can change lives and influence millions. Choose and use them well. <bio>Paul Evans is the creator of the public speaking system Instant Speaking Success.
