Promotional model cars are a great idea when it comes to marketing a business. It is not something that has been exercised a lot in the past, but is moving full steam ahead because companies are looking for something that is quite unique when trying to get the word out about their company. Promotional model cars have provided an avenue in which businesses can place their logo onto something that a lot of people will enjoy. That is the only way you're going to get your desired message across. You have to strike a chord in your customers that no one else can. You want to beat your competition when it comes to coming up with something unique that will bring the people to you and not them.

Promotional ideas

One great idea when it comes to promotional model cars is to get the attention of those who love to have these cars displayed in their homes. Think of all of the race car fans out there today who love to collect model cars that resemble the cars of their favourite drivers. Then again, there are those who are fascinated with older model cars and they love to put them together or they love to paint them to the way that suits them. You can provide someone with a lot of joy by providing model cars with your business logo on them. You can have an advertising campaign that says, "Purchase this and get one of our limited edition model cars." You could do this every single year and have a different car for each year.

You can also have drawings for them and other types of contest. The idea when it comes to promotional model cars is to make them think they are getting something that is one in a million. The truth is that they are rare. They're not going to find another model car out there with your business name and logo on it. Take advantage of that. Take advantage of the fact that people want things that are unique and they want something that is going to bring out an enjoyable side of them.

Unfortunately, a promotional model car is not going to be for everyone and it isn't something that you can give away to everybody who walks through your door. Sure, you can do a promotion in which you give 100 cars to the first 100 people through the door or something to that effect. It is your promotion and your budget, so you can use your imagination with this.

Have fun with it

Most importantly, get excited and have fun when running a promotion that you can utilize promotional model cars. Anytime you have a unique promotion within your business, you and your employees become very excited. Have a lot of fun with that. The more excited they are, the more they're going to hype it up. They're going to tell their friends and their family, which means you're going to maximize your profits even more than before.<bio>Matt Franks is director of Fluid Branding, the UK's largest supplier of promotional model cars and other Promotional Products at www.fluidbranding.com.
When it comes to business there is a whole lot of lingo out there that can be confusing. One example is that of a franchise or a licensed business opportunity. Anyone looking for business opportunities must understand what a franchise is and what a licensed business opportunity is. This brief overview will help you understand the differences.

First of all, a franchise is simply a business model that has been proven to be effective. The franchisor who created this business model will then sell you the rights to use the business model as well as the services or goods that particular system sells. Once you pay your franchise fee you will become a franchisee and have a relationship with the franchisor to assist you with the system. A franchise agreement will be signed and this agreement outlines the assistance the franchisee will receive through the franchisor and the business model. A franchise owner must pay royalty fees to the franchisor. Also, a franchise owner must follow the business plan exactly as it is. If any changes are to be made they must first be approved by the head office. Of course, with a franchise you will get a lot of support and a readymade plan to follow. Some franchises are better than others at helping their franchisees become successful, but most do everything possible because the name of the franchise is at stake. Marketing fees are also paid by most all franchisees to the franchisor. That's because the franchisor is marketing and advertising the product/service to the benefit of all franchisees and they pay a yearly fee towards that.

A licensed business opportunity is a business opportunity not unlike a franchise, but it is set up a bit different. First of all a licensed business does not require royalties nor does it require that you pass off all decisions with the head company. A licensed business opportunity is generally significantly more affordable than a franchise. That's because the license is all that is purchased, not the entire business model so there are no franchise fees, marketing fees, or royalties to pay. Most licensed business opportunities also do not require marketing fees. Many have graphics that may be used with instructions, but no set marketing fee that must be paid.

As you can see franchises and licensed business opportunities are not the same thing. They both offer the opportunity at a new business, but the way that business is managed and the fees that must be paid in association with the new business are significantly different. Keep in mind that there are benefits and drawbacks associated with both franchises and licensed business opportunities. You must weigh the advantages and disadvantages before making a decision to go ahead with any particular franchise or licensed business opportunity. <bio>Find franchises, franchise opportunities and information for entrepreneurs at http://www.franchisegator.com Franchise Gator. </bio>

When you think of the word "model", in the context of a human being, the immediate image that comes to mind is probably Claudia Schiffer, or some of the other Sports Illustrated swimsuit models. Modeling is much more than a pretty face and a size 0 dress, and models are used for all kinds of jobs beyond fashion photography and clothing.

When companies hire models to represent products, what they're looking for is someone who's casual and natural while also being friendly, outgoing and attractive. This is doubly important at trade shows. Observing trade shows can tell you a lot about the right and wrong ways to use models for your business, because the model is "on the spot" for the entire show.

Trade show models, working in person, have to be outgoing, and be "people" people. They have to like interacting with people and they have to convince the person who's hesitantly approaching them with a primeval fear of rejection that they are approachable, that they are interested in what the trade show is about, and that they can competently answer any questions the trade show attendee has. To do this, it's important to dress appropriately for the trade show. If your trade show has people in suits, your model needs to be dressed in business attire. If your trade show has attendees in jeans and tee shirts, a model needs to dress in khakis and polos. Having a model dress in skimpy outfits at a show where that's not the expected attire will result in a "10 foot exclusion zone", where the attendees won't know how to interact with her, and will be afraid of rejection...and if the people aren't coming close to the model, the model isn't doing their client any good at all.

Ultimately, the purpose of a model at a trade show is to help a company promote a product. People looking at getting into modeling need to keep that in mind -- they have to do more than be just a pretty face, they have to engage customers and act as the first line of sales agents. <bio>Find a commercial/advertising photographer at http://www.mandarichphotography.com/ </bio>

Model cars are basically a miniature representation of actual cars, and they are normally a to-scale model of the real cars. Model cars are normally made of die cast metal and most companies dealing in die cast metal offer a lifetime warranty for their model cars. Model cars are of several types, and the best types will have quite some intricate details and movable (but unbreakable) parts, just like the original cars.

Model cars are prepared from all kinds of material, right from wood, plastic, resin to die cast metal. The die cast metal model cars are supposed to be the strongest of any kinds of model cars. They are strong and sturdy and take a lot more of wear and tear than other model cars.

The First Model Cars

While model cars are mostly seen as toys and gifts for children and teenagers, they were never designed or marketed as children's toys. In fact, some models today are collectors' item and more expensive than any other toy in the market.

The first die cast model cars were prepared by Banthrico in the late forties. These model cars were, of all things, made especially for the banking industry. Basically, these model cars were miniature banks, and they were given to people who opened a new account in a particular bank. The cars had a slot at the bottom, through which the bank account holder could put in their loose change.

The most popular car models at that time were the Buicks, Lincolns, Packards, Chryslers, Dodges, Cadillac, Ford and Chevrolet. Miniature cars, or model cars, as they are popularly known, have a common scale of 1:25th, however, some model cars are prepared at a larger scale of 1:20th.

Stepping into the Modern Age

Maybe the first usage of modern model cars was in the automobile industry, when AMT and its sister company produced 1/25th models of the popular coaster and friction models. These models were mostly used as a toy for children who used to come with their parents to the automobile shop to buy cars.

Die cast models are manufactured in various scales, like 1:18, 1:24, 1:48 and 1:43. Today, a die cast model car is created with a great amount of detail, as compared to when die cast models first burst on the scene. There are several details that vary from model cars of different scales. The die cast model cars created in the 1:18 scale are mostly the ones created as the collectors' editions.

The prices of die cast model cars vary from model to model. Obviously, the price increases with an increase of details and even graphics. Some die cast model cars are so detailed that they will even have the decals and other designs that are seen on the original models.

Today, there are several ways in which you can buy model die cast cars. Most toy shops will have all the major types of model cars, and you can get quite some relevant model die cast cars. Also, there are several websites that cater to people who wish to collect die cast models of cars. These websites are known to offer the rarest of die cast model cars.<bio>Come check out our entire stock of model cars and diecast cars today.</bio>

Have you ever taken a photograph of a person, uploaded it online, and had the person contact you saying they were filing a lawsuit because they did not want their picture online? Well, this has never happened to me but if I did I'd be devastated! Having a model release will prevent you from having this problem. If you are selling pictures online then having a model sign a model release form of authorization will be an essential step you will need to take.

A model release is basically a legal document that the model signs saying that they give away all their rights for the photo. They give total control to you the photographer. This means you can edit the photo however you want without having to worry about the model coming back and suing you because you made him or her look too fat and ugly!

Model releases are not long documents and are usually only a page long. There is the information and at the bottom they sign and date the paper. Make sure when they sign it that it is signed in their actual name.

If you are selling stock photos or any other type of photography with models be sure to save your model releases. Make back up copies and scan them into your computer as well. Laminate the forms and hang them up on your wall! Protect those files with all your might.

Most of the models I photograph I end up becoming good friends with. Having one of my models try to sue me would be absolutely surprising to me and would never happen. If you have models that are close friends or family still get the model release! Some companies require that you upload model releases with photos that you submit. If you're submitting stock photos, loading the model release means that those that purchase the photo will have access to the model release as well. This protects them from legal issues as well.

For a person that is under the legal age of adulthood, a model release is still required. The only difference is that you need to have their legal guardian sign the form as well. Definitely get model releases for minors.

Overall lesson today is to get model release and don't skip out! It's very easy to fill out a model release form. Your model should also be very used to filling out these papers. It should be a usual formality that they do all the time. New and unexperienced models may be somewhat cautious about the releases but that's because they're new to it. It has nothing to do with their trust for you.

There are many other forms that you should fill out for other types of photographs. For example, if you take a picture of a building that isn't owned by you then you will also need to get a release of the property. Some stock photo agencies even require you to have a property release when taking pictures of dogs and such!

You have the legal right to take pictures wherever you want. This, however, does not mean that you are able to take these pictures and sell them as well. This is why you don't need model releases for certain editorials and such. It is the freedom of the press and that is what lets people have pictures of celebrities without having them sign model releases after sneaking in to get the scandalous shot. <bio>Al Sanchez has a great program that teaches how to sell pictures online at http://www.photoprofitz.com </bio>

Although it is only five years old, it is one of the best around by a long way!

There are other large model railroad clubs around too, as well as a number of small individual ones that are usually formed by friends with shared interests. Of the larger ones, Tech Model Railroad Club is one of the most renowned and is known all over the world. It is this particular model railroad club that actually uses telephone relays to automatically switch tracks. Of course this was the most advanced technology available in the 1950s and can actually be done on your own model railroad now.

There are of course other clubs available to you, regardless of what country you actually live in! You can check out a list of model railroad clubs on the Internet and narrow them by region, state or even country. They are the perfect places to meet like minded individuals and ask advice. You can supplement your knowledge and then one day actually use it to help someone else out!

Model railroad scenery can be used to complete the picture, although you can keep adding accessories and locomotives at your will and change it as many times as you like. This is a healthy and highly challenging hobby so why not explore the stores that see the items to see what can really be done? <bio>You can also find more info on http://www.modelrailroadshelp.com/Model_Railroad_Supplies on Model Railroad Supplies and http://www.modelrailroadshelp.com/Model_Railroad_Track on Model Railroad Track. http://Modelrailroadshelp.com is a comprehensive resource to know more about model rail roads. </bio>

The model car is ever in demand today as most people can't afford to do much of anything else. Gas is too high to go anywhere, so more and more families are staying home and taking part in the hobbies they had neglected with time. The more rare the model kit, the more it cost the individual. Another price that is rising is what is called resin model cars, but they don't cost nearly as much as the rarer car models. This is what is causing more model car companies to switch to resin. So, for those of you who are wondering what resin cars are just keep reading.

A Basic Definition

Resin cars are those model cars that are made out of this material. It's called resin of course, but what it is, is actually a plastic that is really a cast and not what used to be known as injection-molded. Due to the lessening of the injection-molded types of model cars, the machines that were once used to make them are no longer needed. The resin kits don't cost as much as the kits whose materials are made out of polystyrene. But they are pretty expensive.

So, how do marketers determine what to charge for these new resin brands? One thing that determines the price of these model cars are the volume at which they are producing the cars, as well as how well these models turn out. The quality at which they are developing them is the big determining factor as to how much they go for when you buy them off the shelf at the store of your choice. Not only is there a difference in prices for these model cars, but the different types of materials affects you the buyers as well. Those model cars made out of resin are different from those older types in the fact that there is more to do when you put them together. The resin material is more brittle, and when you sand this material, you should really wear a mask as the fumes are more toxic. When you put the model together, you might need different materials. This is due to the fact that the chemicals in the two seem to be different, and may require different glue as well as different paint. But the resin seems to be sturdier.

The Benefits for Producer and Consumer

Companies have seen that their buyers are a bit more pleased with the resin cars. This is to say that, for once, a company listened to its buyers and created something that could help them both out. The cars hold up a lot longer. Plus, people who have made model building an addicting habit haven't been spending so much out of their pocket. It's a win-win situation for everyone. Of course, people using the resin cars have more work ahead of them, and should take more precautions with the chemical components they use to piece the kits together; they do enjoy a better overall experience. A good compromise for both parties involved, if I do say so myself, being a fan of putting these kits together.<bio>Come check out our entire stock of model cars and diecast cars today.</bio>

So you want to be a Fitness Model do you? Well let's see what that means. You might think that having a hot body is enough? Well a great body is an excellent start, but it's not enough.

Are you tough, and I mean tough because fitness modeling is a tough big business. The fitness model industry can be cut-throat, with thousands of beautiful, hard bodies all competing for the few jobs that are available.

Success in this industry has to be earned. That means hard work and personal investment from you. Overnight success stories are almost unknown. And even if you did find an "instant success story" you will find that they will have put in long hours, days, weeks, months, and years of unseen work into their careers before they were discovered.

Here then is an action plan for you if you still want to continue:

1. Plan. Lay out and decide on your personal, specific goal. The better you lay out your plan before you begin, the better chance you will have of creating success with it.

2. It's important to know exactly what kinds of fitness modelling jobs you want. There are many different types of jobs such as posing with clothes and fitness equipment at one end to sexy fitness models posing for fitness photos and even naked fitness models at the other.

3. Decide the kinds of photographers, fitness model agencies, and magazines you want to work for. Know whether you are willing to move house, and exactly how hard you are willing to work to get your career moving.

4. Educate yourself. If you are serious about making it as a fitness model. The more knowledge you have, the better prepared you will be. Arm yourself with precise information about how to find photographers, become irresistibly attractive, find work, and market yourself as a top fitness model.

5. Carry out your plan. The best plan in the world won't mean anything to you if you don't complete it. Set small, actionable goals and follow your plan consistently, and work it without fail, until you reach your goal.

6. Network, Network, Network. Research and attend the various trade and fitness shows. If you don't network and market yourself properly, you can forget about having any real success as a fitness model. There are millions of beautiful women out there, who want to be noticed, and like everyone else you have to hustle to get that business and that's by networking.

But remember you will be in the fitness industry; part of the entertainment business, and that attracts some unsavory types. I can't go down the list of all the possible pitfalls out there. Be careful and check and double-check everyone you do not know, or know about. Again do your research.

You may be beautiful and have a beautiful body but always remember this is a business and act professionally, it's expected. Stand out from the crowd and always carry good business cards with you, and don't be shy about handing them out.

When I say good business cards I mean properly printed quality business cards and not printed on your home computer, however good the software and paper is. The people you give them to will notice and it will reflect on your image.

There is no one secret to becoming a fitness model. There are many reasons that will influence how well you do. By committing yourself to hard work and fully educating yourself in the industry, you will stand a much better chance of becoming a successful fitness model. <bio>For more information on How to Become A Fitness Model - Learn the secrets that will help you break into the fitness modeling business? onus #2 Your Very Own Web Page.
Are you looking for the perfect gift for the car lover in your life? While there are several things you could get them such as a car picture, a new mug with their favourite car on it or a cool tee shirt with an awesome car on it. But aren't these all things you have given this person before? For people who love a certain thing the options for gift giving begin to dwindle quickly as the holidays pass by year after year. A person can only have so many pictures, so many new coffee mugs and so many different shirts before the idea of gift giving really becomes a stressful thing instead of a joy. If you are at this point then there is one gift you might not have thought of, a branded model car.

With a printed model car you can not only choose the kind of car you want to purchase but you can also chose the colour of the car and the details that will go on it. These promotional model cars can then also be personalised with the gift recipients name on the hood, trunk or down the side of the car. That will make this particular promotional gift one that is so much more personal and enjoyable.

So what occasions are the best for giving a branded model car? Just about any occasion will be appropriate for giving the gift of a promotional model car. Ideally you want to give you gift to a person who is old enough to be responsible for the care of the branded model cars. These gifts are not really toys to be played with rather they are items to be admired.

If you have a child who is turning 16 years old and getting his or her license then a branded model car would be a great gift for their sweet 16. You could also give this branded model car to a child who is turning 18 years old and heading into adulthood. Giving the gift of a special branded model car can end up being the highlight of a very special birthday.

A branded model car is also a great gift to give to someone who is retiring. Many people who have a passion for cars will begin to develop that passion even more after they retire. Giving them the gift of a printed model car would be a great farewell present. Don't forget to personalise it with a "Happy Retirement" along with the date so they can always remember when they received this very special gift.

As you can see there is no set holiday or occasion where you can or cannot give the gift of a printed model car. Just make sure to think long and hard about the perfect model along with the perfect colour since you will have so many different models and colours to choose from this will be the hard part. Picking out a great message to personalise the model cars with will be the easy part.<bio>Matt Franks is director of Fluid Branding, the UK's largest supplier of Promotional Model Cars and other Promotional Products at www.fluidbranding.com.
Can you franchise your business? Is franchising the right route to take for your business? As rents and rates rise in the main shopping areas andamp; supermarkets take a greater share of consumer spending what are the advantages and disadvantages of franchising your business.

If a business has managed to find a niche and can maintain a high profit margin through the ups and downs in the business cycle, then it might be possible to franchise your business. Is the business model easily explained? Can somebody who has no experience in this business be taught the specialised knowledge required to manage and make a profit in their town or city?

If the answer is yes, then franchising could be very lucrative. Once the decision has been made to franchise the business, then it is imperative that the right person is found for your opportunity. A big mistake that a lot of franchisors make is to take the first person who comes to them with some money. Finding the right franchisee can be time consuming and very expensive.

Once the right franchisees have been acquired, then you can expand your model relatively quickly. Once you achieve critical mass, then recruiting new franchisees become easier as the word gets around that your business model works.

Once you have reached critical mass, then the whole group benefits from higher purchasing power. National marketing costs can then be spread out amongst the franchisees, making it relatively inexpensive for each one.

You can then exploit your niche and expand in your chosen market very quickly. Your brand name and logo is then known by everyone.

Franchising an existing national business can be a quick way of disposing your retail outlets and scaling down your business commitments. It can be difficult selling the group as a whole due to the size and value. This route can be ideal for business owners who are looking forward to retiring soon.

Assuming that you have the correct business model, with franchising you can:

Expand your business and brand very quickly

Compete with larger players due to economies of scale

Raise money for expanding your business

Secure a residual income stream

Enter new markets without risking your capital

Make sure that you take professional advice before deciding to follow the franchising route. <bio>Naz Daud is the founder of CityLocal.
I received my first model train set when I was just 11 years old. It came at Christmas and was set up around the tree like a silver train track wreath. There were two engines (although if I remember correctly one was just for show), five boxcars, two flatbeds and a caboose. The engines were old black CN locomotives with that bold red 'CN' logo on the sides, while the boxcars were nondescript brown and black. The Caboose, now that was a deep rich red, as they should, be and was my favourite car of them all. To me, that Christmas will always be remembered for that red caboose.

Of course you'd think that at that moment I began to love trains and became a model train enthusiast. Well not exactly. I played with that oval track and those model trains for a good while, but as all thing in childhood, I moved on to, to me, bigger and better thing: my new bike, the pogo stick, girls, and of course cars.

It wasn't until I had my own kids that the memories of that HO train set came flooding back to me. How I would sit there and watch it go round that oval click track! How my father seemed to always be there, sitting and watching my fun! How I felt as I pretended to be the engineer lugging a load to the next town on the route! I even imagined how my father must have felt as he picked out what he hoped was the perfect model train set to go around the tree that year.

It was these memories that prompted me to get my own kids their first HO model train kit for Christmas this year. To see their faces light up as they see that train going round the tree will be priceless and to watch them pretend to be engineers is going to lighten my heart.

Of course, this is the moment that made me a true model train enthusiast. So as I buy my children their first model train set, I will be looking for my second. The basement corner is looking to me more and more like that train yard near my old home out west. I really can't wait to get to work on my new HO model train layout and conscript the boys into helping. Maybe they will become model train enthusiasts like me. I certainly hope so.

If you are reading this article and thinking that you and your children might want a model train set for Christmas, then I recommend you follow my lead. The HO model trains are the most popular scale with model railroad enthusiasts. This 1:87 scale allows you to fit a good sized track into an average size space. There is also lots of accessories and scenery available for this model. If you have limited space you may want to consider an N scale layout. This 1:160 scale is small enough that you put a fairly complex layout in a small space. Of course your focus will be more on the layout and not the locomotive and cars themselves. However if you have lots of space, you may want to use the larger O scale. At a 1:48 scale your focus will definitely be on the engine and rolling stock and not the layout. However you really need a large space for these train sets. Whatever you decide, I hope you and your family soon discover the joys of model railroading! <bio>Mike Mathews is an writer for http://www.Model-Train-world.com, a very popular Model Railroad website.
All the components necessary to build up a successful model train layout are expensive -- locomotives, rolling stock, tracks, power controllers, buildings, landscaping, to list just some -- these are all expensive. It is no wonder that the hobby of setting up and maintaining a model train collection is considered one of the more costly hobbies that you can become involved in. However, that does not stop many thousands, may be hundreds of thousands of people, spending a considerable amount of money on their model train collections.

Because of the significant amount of money you will have invested in establishing your model train collection, it is essential that you should take all the necessary measures to ensure that it is properly cared for. You would not want to have your investment to end up in the trash.

You will find that taking good care of your model train collection will save you a significant amount of money for repair and maintenance in the years to come.

The following simple guidelines should remind you of the basic essentials of the good habits you need to develop that will help take care of your very valuable model train collection and maintain it in prime working condition:

• make sure you store the most expensive parts of your model train collection -- the locomotives and rolling stock --all the wagons, carriages, etc in a safe place when they are not in use. They should preferably be in a cupboard or containers to prevent dust and moisture affecting them. If you have your model train layout in your garage or in a basement, make sure it is damp proof;

• make sure you always wipe dust and dirt off the model train collection components. Use a soft cloth or a soft sponge when doing this. This will help prevent dirt accumulating, particularly in many of the surface ridges. An accumulation of dirt can potentially, over time, destroy the paintwork and can inhibit the proper functioning of any of the individual items;

• if you are using batteries to operate your model train, as many people still do, take them out of the train if you will not be using your train for some time. Batteries leak if not in use for a period of time. The leakage could damage the model train because the chemicals in batteries are harsh and abrasive;

• if you are operating electric control of your trains, make sure the tracks which carry the current are kept clean. Otherwise the proper functioning of your model train layout can be severely affected;

• let the locomotive of your model train run on its own power. Try to avoid touching a locomotive when it is operating. Doing so can often cause damage to the motor.

While you may find that the tasks of maintaining your model train collection properly, such as keeping it clean and safely stored, are somewhat tedious, and tend to detract from the enjoyment you get from having and operating your model trains on your layout, the development of good maintenance habits will, in the long run, add to your enjoyment by providing a well functioning, good looking model train collection.

And - it will save you money by not requiring costly replacements for poorly functioning components.<bio>John Vanse, a model train enthusiast, has a network of model train sites - all relating to aspects of establishing and maintaining your model train collection. These sites can be accessed through the key site : The Model Train Guide</bio>

Get the Car You Want

Now, to those of you who are like this, I tip my hat to you. I have patience, don't get me wrong, but I'm no saint. And to me, this is what it takes to master the art of making your own model car from scratch. I got annoyed at times with just putting the kits together. But do you want to make that car you have seen, but no one has a kit for? Now you can!

Getting Started

Every good creator starts with a drawing. Draw the details of what you want. If you don't know where to get the supplies, you can show someone at the store what you would really like to do. From there, they can best advise you on the parts you will need. The things you might need will always vary according to whose model you want to base your dream car off of; because while you might be the creator, the idea might have been inspired by a model you pieced together, but you might like to add a few features too. There are many online sources that you can get particular pieces from, not just a whole kit. So, do a search; you might find what you're looking for.

You first start out by sketching the main frame. Make it very low scale. Make sure you draw your car at different angles so as to hit all those key points of the car that you have floating around in your mind. What does it look like? Start adding your detail into it. Add in custom painting. Some people add flames and things like that. With the design etched on paper you can begin formulating it from scratch.

Use Proper Scale and Details

By determining what scale you want, you can begin designing. If you make it too small you will have a hard time getting in the details. Just a little side note that is helpful to remember. Develop the measurements you want to use. Make your reference points at the tires. Using current kits for pieces, design the car that you would like to make. You may like one type of car, but see it with a different bumper or fender; that sort of thing. The sky is the limit with what you want to do. This allows you to paint it whatever color you want to, and use different styles to your liking to create that one special piece. The more details you add in your drawing the more ideas you can get for what you need to create, and what you need to get from other sources.

Online Help

No matter what, the project should be fun! There are many different links online that can help you with in-depth details for creating your own model. You just have to search, but each model is different. So, make sure to specify what sort of model you are looking to create. Most people have the type of car in mind, just with different effects; so that can be your starting point by using those key words. Have fun, have patience, and model to your heart's content!<bio>Come check out our entire stock of model cars and diecast cars today.</bio>

What are the advantages and disadvantages of franchising?

You have decided to buy a franchise. Which one will you choose? There are so many out there. Are you going to go for a coffee shop or fast food outlet? What about an internet business, printing company or stationary?

There are distinct advantages in buying a franchise over starting your own business from scratch. The greatest advantage is that most franchises are still trading after 3 years whereas most new start ups have ceased trading.

What is a franchise?

With a franchise you benefit from a proven business model and the experience of a larger organisation. You have to pay a franchise fee and a license fee to the franchisor to have the right to run their business model.

In the UK companies like McDonalds, Prontaprint and KFC made franchising very popular in the 70s. Now you can find an outlet in nearly every town and city in the UK. Franchising is now one of the fastest growing areas of business in the UK.

Let's examine the pros and cons of franchising

The advantages are:

1) You receive full training in the operation of your business 2) You are not reinventing the wheel 3) You receive support from the franchisor when you encounter a problem 4) You have a proven business model 5) It is in the franchisors interest for you to succeed 6) Accounting procedures and business systems are well established 7) You are part of a group of people all running the same business 8) You benefit from national marketing

The disadvantages are:

1) You have to pay the franchisor a percentage of your profits 2) You have to follow the guidelines laid down by the franchisor 3) The Franchisor controls the development of your business 4) The Franchisor dictates your supply chain 5) You have to market the business in a way that is approved by the Franchisor 6) You have to report back to the Franchisor at least annually

Before you jump in

Before you commit to a franchise make sure that you evaluate the following points:

1) Take professional advice from lawyer before signing any agreements 2) Take advice from an accountant to check the viability of the business 3) Carry out market research to see if the franchise is right for your area 4) Be prepared for hard work - running a business requires commitment

If you're ready to make the commitment, franchising can be a rewarding, and often highly lucrative business. <bio>Business Franchises and UK Business Directory http://www.citylocal.co.uk Business Franchise Opportunity http://www.citylocal.co.uk/frontend/franchiseinfo.php?cityid=79

Business Franchises and Ireland Business Directory http://www.citylocal.ie </bio>

Well, that's good to hear, I would bet a million dollars right now that you look stunning and have a beautiful shape. But what makes you think you can just be a fitness model, and a successful one at that?

This is a cut-throat business with thousands of gorgeous, hard bodies all competing for few jobs. What makes you so special and sets you apart from all the other beautiful faces?

Let me ask you a few questions of the top of my head:

1. Are you tough?

2. Have you a desire to succeed?

3. Does the camera love you?

4. Can you keep in good shape?

5. Can you act in a professional manner?

These are just some of the many questions you should ask yourself. Before you even decide the type of fitness model to want to become. And they all should be answered with a big YES.

1. Are you tough? Because there are thousands of women, and men, who would love to be fitness models just, like you do. The competition among fitness models to put it mildly is tough.

2. Have you a desire to succeed? Well, only you know that. If you haven't a burning desire to succeed you won't, it's as simple as that. As the saying goes, "Success waits for no man", or woman. You have to go and get it.

3. Does the camera love you? The camera either loves you or it doesn't. If it doesn't it's down to you to keep working with different photographers until you find one that photographs you well.

4. Can you keep in good shape? Being a fitness model means you have to stay in good shape all the year round because you will miss photo opportunities if you don't.

5. Are you prepared to educate yourself? Learn about the industry. Do research and attend shows. Research the show before you go and see whom the important people are. Approach them, don't just stand there looking pretty, you're not the only pretty one there.

6. Can you act in a professional manner? This covers everything you do especially your reputation. This is a business. Whenever you do a shoot you may ask for references afterwards. Your conduct, punctuality, attitude etc, are all considered before they will give you a glowing reference.

These, and many more questions you are going to be asking yourself. Before your dream of becoming a top fitness model becomes a reality?

Fitness modeling is not for everyone.
