Why Homeschoolers are Turning to Distance Learning and Correspondence Schools

While correspondence schools used to be considered strictly post high school, the homeschooling movement has brought the market to students of all grade levels. Whether you are new to homeschooling, looking for more structure, or seeking an accredited program, a distance learning or correspondence school can be an excellent choice.

Families are turning to the option of a distance learning or correspondence school because they want higher quality education; they like the accountability, and they appreciate the ease of college admissions or entering the workforce. They appreciate that distance learning and correspondence schools allow you to study at home to get the training you need and to prepare for the future without leaving your front door.

In today's hectic society, at-home learning is recognized as one of the most convenient methods of education. But why turn to a distance learning or correspondence school?

Distance Learning and correspondence schools often provide teacher assistance, accredited diplomas, curriculum, and other opportunities. They remove the stress involved with curriculum decisions, record keeping, state compliance, and motivation. Best of all, you still have the freedom to choose where you want to study. With on-line correspondence classes you can study in the comfort of your own home. With textbook correspondence courses or a laptop, you can anywhere--at home, while traveling to and from events, even while on vacation. That's the beauty of at-home learning--it is up to you.

Whether a child is in kindergarten or 12th grade, there are distance learning and correspondence schools that will provide these all-inclusive programs. For instance, one such correspondence school designed specifically for homeschoolers is Bridgeway Homeschool Academy. Enrolling students from Pre-K to 12th grade, Bridgeway Academy provides distance learning and correspondence programs for students all over the world.

Curriculum is delivered to the home via the Internet, UPS, or the mail and students work at home under the direction of a Bridgeway Academy teacher/advisor. Students receive report cards, feedback, transcripts, and an accredited diploma upon graduation from this correspondence school.

Bridgeway Academy also offers college courses through their distance learning correspondence school. Students take courses in high school and receive both high school and college credit. Through partnerships with a variety of colleges who offer correspondence programs, Bridgeway is way ahead of other home school distance learning programs.

Distance learning and correspondence schools can also be an excellent starting point for post high-school individuals who are new to the job market or looking to enhance their skills. There are many private vocational or correspondence schools that train students for a variety of skilled jobs, including automotive technician, medical assistant, hair stylist, interior designer, electronics technician, paralegal, nurse's assistant, truck driver and more. Some schools also help students identify prospective employers and apply for jobs. Check out trainingdirectusa.com, which offers both on site and correspondence training courses to adults seeking to change or further their career.

It is no secret . . . distance learning and correspondence homeschool programs are here to stay. Homeschoolers who want assistance can find it and colleges and universities are teaming up with the more reputable schools to offer dual enrollment programs (see Bridgeway Academy above). The challenge is to find the right distance learning or correspondence school for you.

Questions you must ask when selecting a distance learning or correspondence school:

1. What is the reputation of the school?

2. How long has it been established?

3. Is it accredited?

4. Do they provide report cards? Transcripts? Diplomas?

5. Do they customize programs to each individual student?

6. Are they flexible? Will they allow you to determine your own daily schedule?

7. Do they have an education website?

8. How many total courses are covered in the tuition?

9. Do they charge additional fees for curriculum? Teacher services? Testing? Other?

10. How difficult is it to contact the school?

11. Do they provide "school pride" activities? (i.e. contests, forums, blogs, etc.?)

12. Do they host a graduation ceremony for graduating seniors?

Distance learning and correspondence schools are a valuable resource for many homeschooling families. You cannot put a value on the peace of mind that comes with the knowledge that there is a school backing you, a teacher supporting you, and an organization accrediting you.

If you are a current homeschooler or individual looking into homeschooling for the first time, I encourage you to look into a distance learning or correspondence school. They offer expertise, understanding of the current trends in homeschooling, knowledge of the various correspondence curriculum choices out there, and the desire to see homeschoolers succeed. <bio>Director of Bridgeway Homeschool Academy, http://www.homeschoolacademy.com She has a passion for homeschooling and desires to provide the best homeschooling options to parents around the globe.
This interesting article addresses some of the key issues regarding information email sign-off effect business. A careful reading of this material could make a big difference in how you think about information email sign-off effect business.

You may not think of it at all. Maybe you base it on whatever you speculate your relationship is to the person you're writing to. But email sign-offs mean a lot more than you might think. They say something to the person receiving the email, and what that says can be good or bad depending on your choice of words. You wouldn't dream of writing "Love, So-and-So" at the end of your business email, but there are those in the field who use equally ridiculous sign offs. Here are some of the more popular email sign offs and whether or not you should use them in your business emails.

One of the most popular salutations in the business world is a simple "Thanks,". It's safe, it's polite, and it's professional. However, it's also a little familiar and should be kept to those emails where you actually have a personal relationship with the person to whom you're writing. Avoid using it if you have nothing to actually thank the person for. Then it may come across as the slightest bit snotty, as if you're sarcastically thanking them for reading your email. Overall, however, this is a decent salutation you shouldn't be afraid to use.

It seems like new information is discovered about something every day. And the topic of information email sign-off effect business is no exception. Keep reading to get more fresh news about information email sign-off effect business.

One salutation to avoid at all costs is, "Ciao". This should only be used for personal friends or informal emails. Never to business associates or customers. "Ciao" is not only informal, it can also come across as cocky and annoying, which is definitely not what you want to project to anyone you'll be doing business with.

The best work related salutation you can use is simply "Sincerely". Some may argue that this closing is best reserved for a letter and too formal for email, but it will never offend anyone and no one can argue that it's unprofessional. If you want to mix it up with some other closings there's nothing wrong with that, but few people are going to stop at that "sincerely" and think, "What? Does this fella know it's just an email?" It's perfect.

Other email tips include foregoing the use of caps lock in your messages. This is read as yelling or screaming in internet correspondence, and it's not appropriate for a business email (even if the effect you're going for is yelling or screaming). It should go without saying, but you should also avoid the use of foul language in your business correspondence. You may be tempted to forget this rule if you're writing to a business associate that has been known to have a salty mouth. Don't. Cursing in person and putting profanity in an email are two different things. Other than that, you know the drill. Keep it professional, and keep it interesting.

Of course, it's impossible to put everything about information email sign-off effect business into just one article. But you can't deny that you've just added to your understanding about information email sign-off effect business, and that's time well spent.

Copyright =A9 Le Tuan Anh http://www.YourTurnkeyProfits.com <bio>To find the best home based business ideas and opportunities so you can work at home visit: http://www.YourTurnkeyProfits.com </bio>

If you're interested in getting involved in email marketing, you may not know where to begin. You know that email marketing is really taking off and is being used by some of the most successful marketing gurus and business owners around. But, you've likely never thought about how it could work to impact your life and your business. Take a look at these tips on how to build your home based business lead email list and get started!

One of the best ways to draw people into your email list is to have a "Join My List" button on your website. People who are interested in you or your products and services will use the sign-up box to get on your list. You can easily have this done with the use of an email marketing service. Or, you can maintain it yourself. It just makes sense for you to use the list sign-up button option since most people who want information about you will visit or search for your website. It can help you make great business contacts.

Another way to get people on your email list is to simply ask your clients, customers, or potential customers for their email addresses and permission to send them email. You can do this over the phone, in person or via email. Tell them about what you plan to email them and that they could benefit from your email communications. If you are a retail store with a store-front, you may want to think about putting a sign-up book in your store for those who visit you physically. If your business is conducted on the Web only, you can always send a follow-up email when someone orders, to ask them if they would mind if you put them on your email list. If you happen to have employees, be sure to make it very clear that getting email addresses of clients or customers is a vital part of their job.

Networking is a large part of business success. When you have great contacts, good things could come your way. Therefore, when you meet people at networking events or trade shows, it is important that you tell them about your free newsletters or email-only correspondence. If you offer email-only sales, you may want to mention that as well. They may be able to use your services or they may know someone who can use your services. Either way, you'll be adding to your email list. The more people you add, the better your chances of business success are!

Remember, when you first begin your email marketing campaign, your list will be small. You have to really make it a habit of asking for email addresses in order for your list to grow. Any opportunity you have to make your email list grow and thrive, do it. Train your employees to be on the constant search for people interested in signing up for your email correspondence. Take advantage of all meetings and business conferences by gathering email addresses for your list. Do everything you can to ensure you are getting the most out of your email marketing. <bio>Next Level Enterprises, LLC is a successful Internet marketer working with top leaders in the home business and Internet marketing industry.
Most home business owners these days own a personal computer and use it for some aspect of the day to day operation of their business. While a computer can be a vital part of a home business, how important really is it for a business owner to also have a consumer printer? A consumer printer can prove quite useful to a home business owner for a variety of different reasons.

A home business owner will find that a consumer printer will come in handy for printing all the marketing materials that they will need. There are many computer programs available for home business owners to use on their personal computer that will design everything from catalogues to informational brochures to business cards. A good quality consumer printer can take care of the printing of these marketing materials often at a quality just as good as a professional print shop. Using a consumer printer to print the marketing materials for your home business can save a lot of money in your monthly business budget.

While many home business owners store important business information on their personal computer, product inventory and billing information for example, having a printer to print out this information can make it handy for easier reference. This would come in particularly handy if say a home business owner needed to bring information on their business to a bank to apply for a loan.

If you are a home business owner that is involved with direct sales, a consumer printer can come in handy for printing recruiting information for potential recruits. Many home business owners find that it is a wonderful idea to compose and print information such as potential earning capacity for their chosen business as well as just a basic frequently asked questions page to help potential recruits learn more about the business that they run.

A consumer printer is also very useful for home business owners that want to prepare correspondence to potential and current clients. Almost all word processing programs offer a built in spell checker to avoid spelling errors and by utilising a printer you will be able to send out neat and easy to read correspondence.

There are some home business owners that may think that making use of a consumer printer will take a huge bite out of the budget they have set up for their home business. This does not have to be the case at all as a home business owner can purchase a consumer printer that they could use compatible printer ink cartridges and inkjet refill kits with. As compatible printer inks and refill kits are very often less expensive then replacement ink purchased from a manufacturer, business owners will be able to keep their monthly budget costs fairly low.

As you can see that while a personal computer is often a vital piece of the day to day operations of a home business a consumer printer can be equally responsible for the running and success of a home business. <bio>Carla Weaffer supplies great value, top quality compatible printer inks at Mersey Inks (http://www.merseyinks.co.uk).
If you've considered a career in medical transcription, you've probably already spent at least some time looking into the study options. And there are some serious decisions to be made when it comes to those training options. Should you study medical transcription in a classroom? Or would an online or correspondence course be better? It depends on your personality, your location and your needs.

Start by looking into schools in your area that offer medical transcription in a classroom setting. The sheer fact of your location in relation to any schools you'd be interested in attending may very well make the decision for you. While location is sometimes the deciding factor, don't let yourself be talked into taking what you consider to be second-rate medical transcription training just because it happens to be nearby. You can certainly get quality training from an online or correspondence school if there's nothing close to your location.

Your own personality - and limitations - should also play a role in your choice of training options. Do you work well without strict supervision and deadlines? Can you set goals for yourself and follow through? If your answer to those questions isn't a resounding andquot;yes, andquot; you may not do well with online or correspondence training. There's a big difference between sitting in a classroom every day (or once a week) and being turned loose to do your own work. In a classroom, you're held responsible for keeping pace with the class. A correspondence class allows you to set your own pace. Some people simply need the structure of a classroom setting.

That's not to say that you have to attend classes in person to get that structure. Many distance learning programs allow students to andquot;meetandquot; with instructors and even classmates on a regular basis via computer. You simply set up a webcam at your location and you have the opportunity to interact with the teacher and even others taking the class. In some ways, this is the best of all possible worlds for the busy adult who still needs some structure to accomplish the goals of medical transcription training.

If you think the online andquot;meetingandquot; is a good idea for you, take a minute to look at your own computer and your connection. A dial-up connection with a slow computer may simply not be able to present the class in andquot;real time.andquot; The lag can be annoying or even embarrassing, and you may find yourself losing out on some important points.

Regardless of what kind of training you choose, be wary of those offering claims that seem simply too good to be true. No one can guarantee that you'll find a job the week you complete your training and a school that offers those kinds of promises may very well be exaggerating other points of their training as well. Take time to be sure that any training facility you choose is reputable and that your hard work will end with training that will make you qualified to work in the medical transcription field. <bio>Visit http://www.total-transcription.com | http://www.total-transcription.com/sitemap1.html or http://www.total-transcription.com/links.html for more information on a career in Medical Transcription. </bio>

Tips for Printing #23- Stay out of the spam bucket

The mail carrier brings you a stack. Being a busy business person, you immediately begin sorting. Sometimes you even sort over the trash can. Naturally, the most important mail is perhaps a check. Whoopee!

In any event, you are looking for familiar correspondence, payments, invoices and items from accepted sources while dumping items that do not appear interesting.

You are an spam filter operating an analog trash can. Of course you may be too busy to open your own mail, then your administrative assistant probably gets the chore of deciding what's worthy of your attention.

In the pile you spy an envelope that looks legit and therefore want to open it even if it does have a standard rate (bulk) postage indicia. Checking the type of postage indicia is usually a good spam filtering rule. Someone who has spent the money for first class postage is automatically in at least the "look at it later" pile.

The last filtering rule you probably use is appearance of the envelope. Well, chances are the reason it looks interesting is because of the imprinted design features.

Is Your Envelope an Effective Marketing Tool? Put the shoe on the other foot for a moment. Say that you are the one mailing to a prospective customer. You want your envelope opened, don't you? Maybe it is time to conduct an audit of your envelope.

You worked hard to get just the right look for your business card, did you do the same for your analog correspondence container (envelope)? If humans were digital appearance and emotions would not be a factor.

A plain white #10 business envelope with black type may be an efficient means of delivering your message, but it is probably not an effective marketing tool.

Bridging the gap between efficiency and effectiveness is pretty easy when you add a couple of elements. The main elements are color and graphic.

You don't have to spend a lot on the envelope stock. Ordinary white envelopes work great when color and graphics are applied. The point is that the attention to detail is relevant. Graphics and colors set moods and themes.

Will Your Envelope Get Opened? Naturally, you can do the design work yourself with a simple layout program like Microsoft Publisher or you can hire a professional designer to create a layout and graphic befitting your business.

Graphic designers can set a mood or a look for your correspondence with ink colors and font styles in ways you never thought. Amateurs typically use too many typefaces with poorly coordinated colors that make the graphic elements hard to read or unpleasant to look at.

Consider what you are offering to the prospective analog spam sorter. What kind of presence does you envelope convey?

Is the correspondence casual or formal? Here is a thought, if you are flexible, change your layout for the season. Once again, if you are creative, do it yourself or hire a designer to create an envelope look for each season and holiday.

When you are making multiple contacts with prospects this is a sure way to get attention.

Assuming your envelope is addressed to the right party, getting it past the trash can and at least into the look-at-it-later pile can be leveraged with design features. Take a self-audit and consider what you are mailing. Do your envelopes convey the right message at the right time to the right party? <bio>Steve Robison writes for West Printing Company, http://Toledoprinter.com.
When most people talk about a standard or regular envelope they are making reference to a business size envelope (also known as a commercial envelope). These kinds of envelopes come in legal as well as letter size with the legal size being the most popular without question. Of all the sizes that the legal envelope comes in, the # 10 envelope with measurements of 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 is used most frequently for many different types of correspondence.

Envelopes come in a plethora of sizes, styles and forms. For all of your business needs there is an assortment of envelopes, everything from commercial envelopes to booklet envelopes to open-end envelopes to square envelopes and so many more. The choices are many! Not only do envelopes come in an assortment of styles and sizes, large to medium to small, but also in an assortment of colors, everything from brightly colored reds and greens to pink, light yellow and baby blue pastels. White however is still the favored color for envelopes, no matter what size you choose.

Personal correspondence to a large extent takes place via email today but sending letters through the mail service is still commonplace. Where there are letters, envelopes are of an absolute necessity. An important thing to note is that regular mail also goes by the term snail mail, because let's face it, compared to electronic mail, it is very slow!

Always remember to keep the contents of what you are mailing in mind when you are in the process of choosing an appropriate sized envelope. Envelopes should close in a relaxed fashion and not have to be stretched or forced. And you don't want to strain it until the paper rips and then have to start all over again with another envelope!

A-series envelopes, square envelopes and open-end envelopes can be found in the desk drawers of professional people everywhere. Booklets and magazines travel well in both square envelopes, because of the lack of seams in the weave, and in open-end or catalog envelopes because they have a gummed flap that securely keeps the item inside the envelope intact throughout its mail journey. The more upscale the business establishment, the more inclined they will be to use the A-series envelopes which have a fancier look to them and come in 60 lb, 70 lb and 80 lb.

Commercial envelopes are available in more than just the # 10 size. Most stationery stores such as Staples, should be able to point customers looking for business sized # 11, # 12 and # 14 envelopes in the right direction. Shop around for your office supplies, both in person and over the Internet and you should be able to find what you are looking for with relative ease. <bio>Robert Michael is a writer for Fun Envelopes which is an excellent place to find envelopes links, resources and articles.
In Business Letters and Email, what are the basic rules one should follow when writing? Your letter might be the first point of contact with another business, and how it's written, will demonstrate your communication skills to the other party.

Always date your letters, and make sure that you spell the persons name correctly. If you are unsure, call reception and ask for the correct spelling. I am amazed at how many people send me letters with my name spelt incorrectly.

Use clear headings and subheadings. A well constructed letter is much easier to understand.

Use proper spelling, grammar and punctuation - A well written document says a lot about you. Most software has a "check spelling and grammar" function. Make sure that you always use it.

Plan your letter and decide what you are trying to convey before you start writing. It's a good idea to make some notes, before you start writing the letter.

Be concise and to the point. Use the minimum number of words to convey your message. Try and use simple words that everybody can understand. Try to keep the recipient in mind when writing, especially when writing to someone overseas.

Do not use technical terms or jargon, unless absolutely necessary. Your reader might not be familiar with them.

Space out your letter. This makes the message easier to understand. Start a new paragraph whenever you can as a well spaced out letter is easier to read and understand. It is a lot easier on the eye!

Keep templates, for standard letters. I find that over time my templates improve as I make minor, but significant changes, to the wording and style.

Keep your humour for your telephone conversations. Jokes can easily be misinterpreted in written communication.

If your message is very detailed, it might be simpler to break it down into two letters. Send the first letter and follow it with a phone call to make sure that the message is understood before sending the second part.

Always be polite. Make sure that you ask or request, rather then demand. Don't use informal terms in the beginning of your relationship. You can start being less formal once a relationship has been established.

Answer all correspondence quickly and clearly. Often, in business, the other party could lose interest if they do not believe that they are important to you, or if another business responds first.

Never use shortcuts! You are not sending a text message.

Make a copy of any written correspondence and file it away for future reference.

Once you have written the letter, read it carefully and think about the message you are trying to convey, before posting or hitting the send button. <bio>Naz Daud is the founder of CityLocal Business Franchise Opportunity Business Franchises and UK Business Directory http://www.citylocal.co.uk Dundee Business Directory http://www.citylocal.co.uk/cities/Dundee Business Franchises and Ireland Business Directory http://www.citylocal.ie </bio>

Online dating is one of the easiest ways to meet people. Simply join an online dating site, create an account, and you're good to go. But there are just a few tips that will make this naturally fun ride a little less bumpy. Here we go!

• Create a separate email, and choose an address that does not reveal your real name. This gives you privacy, and also helps you keep your business and personal correspondence separate. Considering that you may get hundreds of emails a day, you'll appreciate that kind of organization.

• Don't give your private information in your profile or early on in your correspondence. This includes your last name, personal email, home address, work address, or position and company. And if you want to talk to each other on the phone, sign up for a service that will block your number from Caller ID, or talk on the cell phone instead.

• Be honest in your ads and email correspondence. Lying will only attract people who aren't your true match; they'll fall in love with the fake you, and then if you do develop a relationship, you'll face that uncomfortable task of telling them that you're not who they think you are.

• Don't answer emails on the same day. You don't want to look too desperate. Wait a bit, whet their appetite, and let them know you have a life outside of the Internet. A two to three day wait is just right: you're not being rude, but you don't look too needy, either. Besides, when they're waiting, they're interest grows: they'll be imagining what you said, wondering about your reaction.

• If you do decide to meet up with someone you met through Internet dating, meet in a public place and inform a friend where you're going. Schedule it in for lunch or coffee, rather than dinner. At least he won't have to bring you home and find out where you live, and if the date bombs it's easier to think of the excuse that you have a meeting. For additional safety, you can even ask some friends to have lunch in the same restaurant (they'll probably be curious about him anyway!"

• Watch out for warning signs that the person you're taking to is, to put it mildly, "a little nuts." This includes flashes of temper, being pressuring or controlling, rude and demeaning remarks, inconsistent facts about age, interests, employment, etc., refusal to give direct answers. You can also actively try to "test" the person's consistency by intentionally making a mistake when referring to something he said in the past. For example, if he said that he had a Labrador Retriever when he was growing up in a farm in Texas, casually say in a line, "Oh, I saw the most adorable sheepdog in the pet store, and I thought of you!" <bio>Ready to find out more about online dating, and visit the hundreds of dating sites where your dream date is waiting?
A Home Party Business is a growing trend among business owners.

Home parties are an intimate and fun way to showcase product and build lasting business relationships. A home party business can be run a variety of ways, but a few helpful <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pointers" rel="tag">pointers can make any home party business more successful and fun for both hostess and guests. These pointers, when combined with your business strategy for success, can take a lot of the leg work out of your parties and replenish your energy for the fun you can have with your guests.

The first fun pointer for a home party business is the client list. When you decide to go into a home party business, make a list of everyone you know. Don't stop until you have listed at least a hundred people. Thinks of your hairdresser, your children's teachers, doctors, family friends, friends of friends, and so on until your list is overflowing with people you know. Most people underestimate their reach, failing to realize they know as many people as they truly do. Now, take a moment to consider that each person on your list can make a list of his or her own. Each of those people could make a list, too.

Yesterday you were worried about how you would get enough people to your parties, and today you can't throw enough parties to invite all of the people you know. When your home party business suffers a slower month with fewer bookings, as any businesses will, refer to this list to brainstorm guests to fill your party quota.

The second fun pointer for any home party business owner is to simplify menus. Food brings people together, and the menu of a party can set the tone for the success of a party from a very early moment. Food is the first object of attention for early party guests, and can provide a backdrop for conversation and ice breakers. Consider easy dips and finger foods to entice guests towards product tables. Keep an assortment of shredded cheeses and cream cheese on hand for quick dips to serve at last minute parties. Adding cheese to cream cheese, sour cream, and some canned crab meat can make for an elegant dip. Veggies and cheese cubes add a dash of color to any snack table, while also providing a healthy alternative for dieting guests. At the start of each month, brainstorm three different combinations of appetizers, and let these lists guide you for your parties. With these preconceived menus in place, you won't have to worry about what to serve last minute, and can keep ingredients on hand.

The final and most important fun pointer for your home party business is to remember the thank you card and follow up correspondence. Make this correspondence memorable by creating your own unique stationary or cards with simple items such as construction paper or magazine pictures. These homemade cards and letters will set you apart from your competition and will earn you a place in the forefront of your guests' minds.

A home party business is geared towards fun =96 for guests and for you! With a little organization and planning, you can have as much fun as your guests and really put the party back in your home party business! <bio>Learn how to start your own home business online earning multiple streams of income at http://www.pluginprofitsite.com/ </bio>

If you're a business owner and have heard anything about internet marketing, you've likely started your email list for your email correspondence. If you haven't taken the step toward building an email list, you need to start right away. Studies show email lists really connect with customers and bring them to your site. They help your potential clients build trust in you and your business, which will help you gain profits in the future as well. Use these tips to instantly gain more exposure and addresses for your business email list and you'll turn your moderately successful home business into a raging success.

Use The Space You Already Have

The bona fide easiest way to get people to sign up for your email list is to put a link on your website, blog and any other online pages you maintain or own. Something as simple as a "Sign up for my free newsletter" on a button will be successful. If you have articles on other people's websites, consider adding an ending line with a "Join My List" link on every article. Make sure the link points directly to your newsletter sign up page, to be most effective. You should enforce the point that the newsletter is free. Offering an incentive like a free report on business success is also a great way to draw people in. You may want to have monthly contests, to get people to sign up. You won't have to give away anything expensive. People will be happy to sign up for your free email list if you are giving them something for no-charge.

Another place you can easily sweep in email list address additions is in your daily emails. When you put a "Please Join My Free Email List" in your email signature, you will be automatically sending out an invitation to each and every person you email on a daily basis. This could be huge and requires almost no effort on your part. It's free advertising basically. You may want to say something like "If you'd like to hear more about (your business) and sales we have throughout the year, click here to sign up for our free newsletter". Or, you could offer coupons each week for those who subscribe.

Lastly, if you really want to drive the point home about your free email correspondence, you should put it in writing. Literally. Be sure you include information on how to sign up for your free email list on all printed material. You may want to include it on your business cards, any signs and on any printed advertisements.

You'll find that these email list building tips can help you run a successful home business, with very little effort from you. The more contacts you add to your email lists, the better your chances are of developing a larger client base. So take every opportunity you have to grow your email list. Easy changes to your website, email signature or printed materials can be quite effective when it comes to your internet email marketing campaign goals. <bio>Mark Stewart frequently writes on topics in the home business and Internet marketing industry.
What is the most important part of your internet business? It is not your product! It is not your marketing plan! It is not your profit! The foundation of your home based enterprise is your customers. And the success of your online venture is dependent upon your relationship with your clients.

The reality of making money online is no customers = no money. It is essential that your clients know they are the most important resource you have if you want to enjoy success with your work from home venture. Your ability to give customers the satisfaction they need should be the top priority when you are developing your home based business. But what is customer satisfaction?

Customer satisfaction is providing your clients with an environment that gives them assurance and re-assurance every time they interact with you or your internet business. The communications that you develop with your customers through phone conversations, E-mails, written correspondence and body language are sending a message. If your goal is to achieve online success then you need to inform your buyers that you are committed to addressing their needs and alleviating their concerns. Let's apply this concept to an online home based business.

Remember the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Put yourself in the position of your buyer. If you were the customer, how would you want to be treated? Apply this idea to the relationship that you have with your home business customers. Simply put, treat every client as if the success or failure of your work from home business is dependent upon this transaction. Customer service is about good attitude and positive communication. Both must work together for your clients.

With an online business, most of the contact you have with your customers is by phone or through E-mail. Are you a good listener? Are you a good writer? The internet is an impersonal place but the quality of your communication skills can overcome this obstacle. Inform your clients about what is happening on all levels of the current transaction. Tell them that your goal is their satisfaction in all of your correspondence.

Inform your buyer when you receive their order and when you ship their products. Tell your customers who is delivering their merchandise and when they can expect their package. If there is a problem, let them know immediately. Prepare yourself for the inevitable situations that will occur. You will get angry phone calls and flaming E-mails from unhappy buyers even when you have a home based business.

When your dissatisfied customer calls, let them vent their frustration. After they finished, ask what you can do to resolve this situation to their satisfaction. Be willing to compromise. Remember, you have been an unhappy buyer as well. In works the same way with E-mails. The customer has vented through their correspondence. Send them an E-mail and start showing your concern through your willingness to resolve the situation. Keep in mind that the success or failure of your home business is dependent on this circumstance.

When you analyze your communication skills, what are your strengths? Listening? Writing? Speaking? At the other end of the spectrum, what are your weaknesses? If a successful internet home business is your goal what will you do to achieve your prosperity? Do your communication skills need a tune-up? Your customers are your most important asset Invest in yourself to improve all aspects of your relationship with them.

The success or failure of an internet home business is dependent upon one thing, your customers. Without this vital ingredient, you will not succeed. If you strive to give your clients an environment where they feel wanted and appreciated, they will come back. Not only will they return, they will bring their friends with them. Focus on making customer satisfaction your number one priority and you will be planting a seed that will grow into your online business success.

"What do we live for if not to make life less difficult for each other?" <bio>John Fortner lives in Oregon and works from his home through his online pursuits.
The business correspondence nowadays is usually interrupted and meddled by unsolicited postal mails or electronic mails. Just a mere glance of the newly delivered postal mails, you will instantly identify such as junk promotional mails from business mails through its address label.

Indeed an address label will subtly convey the purpose of the mails. The motif of the address label put across many messages to the receiver hence it is important to take your attention in designing and personalizing your address label.

The initial step to personalize your address label is to know exactly the nature of your business and the purpose or the message you want to convey to the recipients of the mail. There are sometimes one firm but has many different business segments. In this case, you should decide if you would keep one generic address label for the entire firm or different address label per business segment.

The purpose or the message of the mails can vary from promotional materials to official business correspondence. The address label can be slightly modified to suit the specific mails that go out for any particular special event. For this instance, you can still retain the official logo of the company however it can be enhanced to fit in with the motif of the special event that the mails are intended for.

Once you have decided both, the logo to be used and the purpose of the mails, you can now start scouring the available designs in many websites. There are many available free designs while other will require for minimal fee. Designs for address label cater from simple to elaborate concept and from a plain white sheet to glossy and foil type of materials.

One great idea in choosing the design for address label is also to know the occasions celebrated by the expected recipient of the mails. Like if you are sending Christmas cards then somehow you can incorporate a snowman or Christmas tree to signify the season being celebrated at the moment. Or perhaps, you are sending another greeting card to the other side of the globe wherein they are celebrating an Orthodox Easter Sunday. A graphic or photos of some eggs will imply the season being celebrated.

The recipient upon receiving the postal mail will not instantly understand that it is a greeting card meant for the season being celebrated. The introductory message is already communicated even the recipient didn't open yet the mail.

After you make up your mind for the design and template of the address label, you can now start printing it. There are many available labels with reasonable prices you choose from. These sheets of labels have variety of sizes hence you can create a customize address label that will complement your envelopes and stationeries.

With boundless options for the templates and designs for the address label, why not customize a personalized address label? A unique and creative address label will go a long way in terms of recognizing and setting it apart from ordinary postal mails. Your letters will be prioritized while you can ensure that it is not heading to the trash bin for being mistakenly thought as ordinary unsolicited mails.<bio>Find more information and tips about address labels by visiting Address Labels</bio>

Electronic mail is quick and easy but has not taken the place of regular mail (a.k.a. snail mail). And with mail service comes the need for envelopes. Envelopes are necessary to safely transport everything from personal correspondence to business proposals to wedding invitations to announcements and the like. Envelopes come in a variety of different forms, styles and sizes. Just to name a few, there are commercial envelopes (think business size), window envelopes, open-end envelopes, self-sealing envelopes, remittance envelopes, booklet envelopes, square envelopes and so many more.

There are also specialty envelopes such as the ones used for greeting cards, wedding invitations, birthday/shower invitations etc. Depending on what type of correspondence you are sending, some items come with envelopes to match while others do not. It's always a good idea to shop around at a number of different places to find exactly what you require.

Envelopes come in different colors as well- practically every color of the rainbow if you look hard enough. While white is a standard color and considered the professional way to go, a great deal of packing envelopes with bubbles inside, are yellow. And holiday envelopes (such as for Christmas) can often be purchased at stationery stores in festive colors such as red or green.

When deciding on the most appropriate size and style for what you need to mail, take into account the shape and size of the item(s). Don't stuff the envelope to busting capacity. Always remember to leave enough room to comfortably seal the envelope. Allow each item some space to move around in!

A regular envelope is also referred to as a business size envelope. These are standard envelopes and are used on a regular basis by businesses and individuals alike. They can be broken down into two kinds- legal size and letter size envelopes. Incidentally there is a size of legal (business) envelope that is the most popular and that is the #10 envelope. This envelope's dimensions measure 4 1/8 x 9 1/2. This size of envelope is used so frequently because a piece of standard size paper, 8 1/2 x 11, when it is folded three ways slips effortlessly into a # 10 envelope.

There are also other sizes of business (also referred to as commercial) size envelopes as well. There is the # 11, #12 and #14. What happened to the # 13 envelope is anyone's guess. The measurements of each of the above envelope's are as follows: #11 (4 1/2 x 10 3/8), # 12 (4 3/4 x 11) and # 14 (5 x 11 1/2).

To describe three other types of envelopes briefly, square envelopes have no seams and therefore are often used to send items such as booklets, announcements about new businesses and promotional deals. As a rule this kind of envelope can be purchased in stock that is made with white wove and comes in two sizes, the 24-pound and the 28-pound. Another kind of envelope, called the A-series envelope is also a favorite of businesses and comes in 6 different styles, the A-2, A-6, A-7, A-8, A-long and the A-10.

These envelopes are very sophisticated looking and are available in three kinds of weights, 60, 70 and 80 pounds. Open-end envelopes, which also go by the name of catalog envelopes, are often used to mail items such as thicker booklets, pamphlets and magazines. They are good for items such as these for two reasons, they have a gummed flap and the flap opens on the side that is longer so bulky printed materials fit inside very easily. <bio>Robert Michael is a writer for Fun Envelopes which is an excellent place to find envelopes links, resources and articles.
Students who are not physically sitting in a class room to get their education are taught using technology based instructional systems designed for remote access. This system is known as distance learning or distance education. Students and teachers communicate with each other through printed materials or electronic media or using a technology that provides real-time communications.

Distance learning uses regular mail for correspondence. Real-time or offline internet resources are also used in this system. Television or radio is used to make educational broadcasts to reach the students of distance learning.

Isaac Pitman used the very first modern distance learning system in 1840 to teach shorthand through correspondence.

Since 1946, correspondence courses in the distance-learning mode were offered by the University of South Africa, which is one of the oldest distance learning universities in the world. In UK, the Open University was founded in 1969.

For-profit institutions, non-profit organizations, public and privates institutions are offering degree programs and courses in distance learning. There is varying level of accreditation for such institutions. Some of the institutions in USA have very little focus from the countries outside and some of them are mere diploma mills, which are mostly fraudulent.

The distance-learning program was greatly benefited in the twentieth century by using Internet, television and radio.

Even though the presence of a student is not compulsory in distance learning, with the advent of technology, physical presence or lack of it has become an option. In distance learning, electronic classrooms can be classified as off campus or on campus. It is known as institutions using a mode of delivery, which is flexible. Find more info at http://www.distance-learning4u.info

In many cases, students do sit in traditional classrooms and they are connected to a teacher in a distant classroom through videoconference. This technology increases the power of teaching and learning.

During its history, distance learning has passed through the experience of four to five different methods of teaching using the technology available at that time. The technology that was used were print, video/audio broadcasts, teleconference using video/audio technology, instruction aided by computers and computer based broadcasting. In developing nations, the radio is used for distance learning and considered to be a very powerful medium. In India the virtual university and distance learning centers use FM broadcasting which is very popular among the students.

Earlier models of distance learning used regular mail to dispatch written materials. Among the developing nations, this method is still used in distance learning.

In distance learning both full time and part time studies are possible but most of the students prefer part time studies. Even though distance learning is offered at various levels, it is the most popular option for university level studies.

Distance learning is also known as correspondence courses since the teacher and the student corresponded through the regular mail. For children living in remote areas secondary and primary education programs are available.

Testing material caused trouble for distance learning right from its inception. The problem occurs when the student has to complete the assignment and undergo testing. In distance learning a student is completely removed from supervision during the evaluation period. <bio>Lucy Bartlett is a proud contributing author.
There was a time when large cities relied almost exclusively on messenger services. Page services are still used by Government officials among others to run errands and deliver documents and important correspondence.

Even in places like New York City you will still find some messenger services flowing through traffic on bicycles as they deliver messages for their clients.

The roll of messengers has a long and storied past. In many ways their role has found an online counterpart in the form of autoresponders.

This function is utilized by online businesses because they believe the customer is important enough to merit a personalized delivery no matter how busy the site owner may be.

These email messengers have become not only an important part of online business, but also a way to let customers know that you consider them V.I.P.'s.

Establishing Contacts

You can initiate the function of an autoresponder by subscribing to a service provider or checking with your site designer or web builder service to see if you have autoresponders available. Tech support should be able to guide you through any special installation issues or questions about applications related to your `messenger' service.

What To Say

It is important to determine what information you intend to send to your customers and at what point that information is sent. For example you may want to send an autoresponder message immediately following a confirmed sale. You can also send an automated message whenever someone sends a inquiry by email, when a product is shipped or even as a follow up to allow the customer to provide feedback about the service you provided and the product they purchased. Each autoresponder message will be unique to the application.

Any Other Tricks?

Autoresponders can also be used to deliver an online ecourse for those times when information is a part of your marketing strategy. You can provide a systemized series of messages for your clients that are sent on a time-released basis. Most services allow a customer to begin receiving those messages at any time. In other words one customer could be receiving the last autoresponder message in an ecourse while another consumer may be receiving the first. It all depends on the customer's sign up date.

Importance Simplified

It can be hard to try to keep track of every email and manage every piece of correspondence. In today's competitive online world customers are used to confirmation emails related to their purchase. Autoresponders allow you to meet that need in a very simplified and practical way. It is designed to make business easier and it lives up to its design.

Why Start Now?

If you're a business that has had a web presence for a long period of time you may have gotten used to living without an autoresponder, but as your business grows it will be increasingly difficult to manage confirmations and follow-up. When you no longer are able to manage these issues personally you can either utilize an autoresponder or you can allow your ability to manage customer service to diminish.

You have communication and it needs to be delivered. Let autoresponders be your primary messenger service. <bio>Scott Lindsay is a web developer and entrepreneur.
Postage stamps are the proof that the proper fee has been paid to send a piece of correspondence. If a postage stamp is not present on a piece of mail being sent, the recipient becomes responsible for paying the postage due. If the recipient does not wish to pay the postage due, then the item is returned to the original sender.

Postage stamps can be purchased in a variety of ways. They can be purchased individually, in a book (usually 20) or in a larger roll, if a significant amount is needed. Stamps can be found at the local postal office, in a machine, or at certain locations that provide the service of selling stamps. Keep in mind that most of these remote locations, which are not affiliated with the postal service, tend to charge more per stamp. For example, an establishment that cashes checks and provides other similar services charges 50 cents for a stamp that costs only 39 cents if purchased elsewhere.

Postage stamps have come along way since their initial introduction. No advancement is more appreciated than the birth of the self-sticking stamp. Along with this clever, and much appreciated, advancement, there has also been the change in the look of postage stamps.

Postage stamps come in a variety of sizes and shapes now, and they have all sorts of pictures and themes to them. Depending on the season or current holiday, stamps will have themes that match the current time.

Postage stamps have also been made in honor of certain people and places. Additionally, a neat feature of stamps is that they can be purchased for a particular cause and the difference in the proceeds (which is very slight) will go to the cause the stamps were promoting.

The current price of postage stamps is 39 cents a piece, which is a 2 cents increase over the 37 cents amount. Postage prices continue to rise as the general public uses hard-copy mail less and less, due to advancements in technology that allow most common correspondence to be sent electronically.

As the use of the electronic submission grows, the price of individual postage stamps will most likely increase. If the total volume of mail decreases, the difference must be made up by charging more money to send each piece of mail. The likelihood, at this point, is that postage stamps will continue to increase in price, as time goes on. <bio>http://postagehq.com Everything you need to know about postage from collecting stamps to postage rates. </bio>

There are many ways to advertise your home business online and offline. Advertising is an important to the success of your business because it tells people that you exist and also prompts them to buy goods and services from you. No matter which type of business you run, you will have to advertise. When you first start your business, you should determine where your largest client bases are and advertise the heaviest in these places. Once your business has taken off, then you can try advertising in other markets in order to bring in more clients and customers. The best way to begin advertising your business is by putting your web address on your business card. This will help clients see what you have to offer them and will also help your business spread through word of mouth.

Building a web site is very easy and will not take you too much time at all. If you do not have the time or the know-how to build a web site, you can hire someone to do the work for you. They may even be able to maintain the web site for a small monthly fee. This will leave you with more time to market your business in other ways. After your web site has been built, you will want to advertise it to future clients by earning high rankings in search engines, creating a blog, and circulating articles with the web site attached all over the internet. This is not difficult, but can be a little time consuming. Once you have achieved this goal, you should focus your marketing efforts on other forms of advertising.

Creating direct mail marketing materials is another easy way to advertise your business. Postcards, brochures, and flyers will help let local people know that your business is open. You should create direct mail marketing packages twice a year and send them out to those on your mailing list and those who are within a three to five mile radius. This will help attract more business. Include your web address so people will know where to go for additional information.

Advertising is an ongoing part of running any business. Even when you are fulfilling orders and answering customer questions, you should be marketing your business. Including your business email and web address at the bottom of all email and regular correspondence is a form of marketing. You should create a logo that you can use so that people will know who the packages are from when they are delivered. This will also help people notice your company. These little marketing tricks are invaluable and will improve your business so that you can continue to grow your business. <bio>Dustin Cannon is owner of http://www.NicheArticleClub.com and writes on a variety of subjects related to home business.
