Many blogs display the same boring templates or skins for the layout. While the template does not affect readers who enjoy your blog via RSS feed (unless they click through to the blog), but it really affects any other blog visitor who reads the blog from the web browser. The more unique looking a blog design is, the easier it is to build brand recognition and a good name that gets you into viral marketing. If your blog looks like dozens of other blogs, your own blog will not stick out from the crowd and you will lose out on visitors. In the past I have been using free Wordpress templates myself. I applied minor modifications, but it never really separated my blog from others enough to be really unique.

The problem with so many blogs is to find out what is their main specialty. What is the main topic a blogger is writing about? Often there is no way to tell what a blog is about - especially if you enter a blog from an older posting through a search engine listing. The homepage might eventually have a small snippet of text explaining the topic of a blog, but archived articles do not show this normally. Or the blog owner does not even bother at all to tell what his main intent for the blog is. By using a custom blog design this can easily be integrated and helps to make the blog look different from anyone else.

By using a custom header as an example it helps to get the unique look you are looking for. First of all if it is completely unique it makes my blog stick out more. Second it can help you to show what your blog is all about and therefore get people to come back. Make your Blog look unique + make sure your visitors know what your blog is about. Just because they find a (one) posting of your blog that matches their search term, it does not mean that your blog is really of interest to them. But you might be able to catch their interest by pointing out what your blog is really about. If you catch their interest you might gain a new reader that a) comes back to read more from your blog and b) eventually tells others about your great blog. <bio>Christoph Puetz is a successful author and Internet Entrepreneur.
More and more small businesses are considering using a blog to promote their business. A blog can be used in a variety of ways.

Here are just a few

•	Get the word out to your customers about your services and products •	An easy way to keep your employees updated •	A way to allow interaction from your customers or employees

There are a few advantages and a few pitfalls to be aware of before you start. It is important that you lay out a plan and decide what the purpose of your blog will be. Decide how often it will be updated and keep to it. Blogs that aren't updated on a regular basis lose their advantage.

You may need more than one blog because the tighter the focus your blog has -- the more effective it will be. Keep your blog on topic and don't allow it to range far and wide with your topics just because you can. If you want to stray from your major topic you may want to consider creating another blog on that topic.

The big advantage of a blog is the ease of use and the ability to be interactive. At the same time that interactivity needs to be controlled to keep your blog on track. Your blog needs to maintain a consistent purpose. Unfortunately, not all comments will add to the conversation you are creating on your blog so make sure you control the comments.

Worry less about the technology and more about the purpose for your business. Now if you are in the music business then adding sound clips and video may serve your purpose. Don't just add technologies because they are available add them because they improve the conversation.

Remember, that blogs are a conversation. Consider that when posting and adding content.

In summary -- If you take the time to plan out your blog's purpose, how often it will be updated and schedule the time necessary to achieve this, you will find a blog can be a valuable asset to your overall business plan.

If you are not willing or able to do this then you will be disappointed with the results you receive from your blog. <bio>Mike Paetzold is the author of "7 Tips To Make Your Word Press Blog Search Engine Friendly" and creator of the multi-media course "Word Press Made Easy".
It is very common for couples to start a wedding blog nowadays. It is mainly because it is very easy to do so these days. There are a lot of free services out there and you can easily create the blog even if you have not much knowledge on creating a website.

You may wonder how you can create a wedding blog for free. As a matter of fact it is very easy to do so. There are a lot of companies and websites which provide free blog hosting services. What is even better is that you do not need to install the blogging software. You can just concentrate on posting different things about your wedding.

Of course you may also consider creating your own blog without using the free services. It is also very easy for you to do so. A lot of hosting companies will provide very user friendly ways for you to install the blog software. You will be able to start your own blog without any difficult.

What is actually difficult when you are creating your wedding blog is deciding what you should write. Actually, you can blog about everything you encounter when you are planning for your wedding. This is the essence of starting your wedding blog. You will be trying to share all the emotions when you are planning for the event.

In fact, one of the advantages of creating a wedding blog is that you can use the blog as a platform to inform your guests regarding the wedding plan. It is even more important if you are planning for a destination wedding since your guests may need more information about the destination.

In the case of a destination wedding, you may also need to prepare the air tickets for your guests. Again, you will be using your wedding blog as a platform to gather information about that. You may require guests to leave a message in your blog so that you can arrange the air tickets and accommodations. Besides, you may also give your guests some useful information such as points of interest and transportation in the destination. Your guests will find your blog very useful if you can do so.

Your wedding blog is not only for your guests to read. People who are surfing on the web can also read it. Of course this will include all other couples. You will be sharing your experience of wedding planning in your blog with all other brides and grooms. You can also read the wedding blogs of other couples so that you can learn from them. The point here is that no one will be experienced in wedding planning unless you are a wedding planner yourself. As a result, it will be a good idea for couples to learn from one another.

From the above you should probably know what you should write in your wedding blog. Have you started your blog yet? If not, you should do it as soon as possible so that you can share more with the others.<bio>TM Lung designs Chinese Wedding Invitation.
There are many ways in which you can create a blog, the easiest being to use a blog host such as Blogger or Wordpress.com. Using these, you can create your blog on any topic you want and even customize it to suit your needs to a certain extent.

I say `to a certain extent' since no blog that is operated from a blog host's website can ever be truly yours, and you consequently have limited control over the design and occasionally even the content of your blog. That is because neither the software needed to manage the blog, nor the files that hold your content, are contained on your website, but on that of somebody else. That `somebody else' is either the operator of Blogger or of Wordpress, or whatever blogging host you happen to be using.

So what does that mean to you in practise? I have no intention of going over the pros and cons of the hosted versions of Wordpress and Blogger, and have provided a link on my website that provides that information for you, but it should be clear to anybody that if you host your own blog from your own website, you have much more control and latitude in the design, formatting and content of your blog.

It is not difficult to upload Wordpress to your website and run it from there. You can then upload any number of the multitude of plugins and templates available to enable you to design your blog in any way you want. You can change the appearance and content not only of your navbar, but can use html to change practically every aspect of your blog to suit your needs. The question you will be asking is how you get Wordpress onto your own website.

It is easier than you think. Wordpress.org provides the software, and you have to upload it to your website into a directory of your choice. The easiest way is to use an ftp client, and you can get information on good free ftp software on my website or blog. You then have one or two alterations to make to some of the files and you are done. You have a blog that you can change to suit your own needs without any of the restrictions that are imposed by the Wordpress website.

You can change the template to any of the thousands on offer online, either free or paid, and you can also use software to design your own or to customize the templates to your own design. You can change the whole look and feel of your blog, and offer whatever links that you feel necessary. You can put whatever adverts on your blog that you want, including Adsense blocks, and use your blog to make you money.

Creating a blog is easy, and if you know how to create a blog exactly as you want it, then you will have a great tool at your disposal that you can use to promote any product you want, and also to make direct sales, either of products or of advertising. There are many ways in which you can use your blog either to promote products or to earn money through advertising. You have few restrictions when operating a Wordpress blog from your own website; all you have to know is how to do it.

Once you know how to create a bog on your own site, you can harness the power of blogs to achieve what want to achieve with your website. There are few limits and your imagination will be your major asset, so use it. <bio>To learn bow to create a blog on your own website and how to use your blogs to make money, check out Pete's website http://www.create-a-blog.net where you will not only be given useful tips, but also links to websites that can help you. </bio>

Using a blog has become one of the most popular methods of promoting an affiliate program today. What is great about a blog is that in many cases you can post it free. Blogs serve a great number of purposes today and promoting your affiliate program is just one of the many uses for a blog. Why should you spend hundreds or thousands of dollars in promotion and advertisement of your affiliate program? All you need is a free blog and some good information to offer your visitors. With these two simple items, you could dramatically increase the amount of traffic you get for your affiliate program.

Why all the hype about blogs anyway?

What is a blog? Well, if you have not discovered a blog by now, you have been living in the dark. Blogs are everywhere and include information about many different things. Take, for instance, using a blog to promote your affiliate program. All you need to do is generate a few articles or stories about your specific affiliate program. They can be about anything at all. Consider articles such as how to use your specific program, what is special and unique about your program, why people should use it and how they can benefit from your affiliate program.

Ok so I create a blog, now what?

The key point in posting a blog, is to generate interest in your users and make them click that ever-special link directly to your affiliate program. Now, that being said, an important key that everyone should know about blogging is that you should post to your blog each and every day at least once per day. Doing so will help drive people to your blog and further on to your affiliate program. That means more traffic for you.

More is Better

Now, a free blog is of course free, however, many web sites that offer free blogs will also offer you a paid upgrade. With a paid upgrade, you can enjoy additional features such as editing the articles you post if the need arises. You could also create and edit your blog pages to make them fit in well with the design you want. A blog host may even offer you the ability to create polls directly on your blog. This will allow you to determine what you need to know from you visitors in order to make a more effective blog for your affiliate program.

In the end

Overall, the whole goal your blog is to promote your affiliate program. When you promote your affiliate program, you increase the amount of exposure that your program receives. This will ultimately increase the amount of commissions you receive. Promotion = Visitors = Commissions... you have to love that formula! <bio>Wayne Owens is a blog owner promoter and supplier of free blogs to everyone who wishes to have one!
Through your blog, you may be able to find a publisher for your next book. You may have never though about writing a book before, but blogging is not much different from writing a book. Your readers can help you sharpen your writing skills, if you pay attention to their feedback. Once you published your book, use your blog to create a buzz around it. The visitors reading your blog may become the unpaid advocates for your newly published book.

You should allow your customers to blog too. Yes, why not invite some of your customers to write about their experiences in your blog. You may invite them to review one of your products, or ask them to describe their experience dealing with your company. This form of testimonial builds trust between your customers and your company.

When there is trouble communicate quickly and honestly in your blog. Sometimes there may be bad news on the horizon. There is no reason to avoid using your blog to help put out fires. If there is trouble, let your blog help you resolve it. For example, you may have a software company that just realized there is a bug in the latest program release. Informing your customers about the bug is bad news, but the rapid communication will be appreciated.

While blogs can help you establish your business, build credibility, or improve relationships with your customers, there are several ways you can profit from your blog. Create a subscription-based blog where you readers pay a monthly or yearly membership fee. A members only blog may be that private section of your publicly available blog. In such a way you can create interest on your public blog and sell membership to the private section. If you are writing about a certain product you may be able to sell advertising space on your blog for the manufacturer. Another option is to become an affiliate and generate revenue that way. Adsense is another possible source of revenue for bloggers. If you decide to go the adsense route be sure you have a fair amount of site visitors. You need a significant amount of traffic to make money with this option. <bio>Webene http://www.webene.com </bio>

Is there really a compelling reason to start a blog when you could be spending your time working on your website? Is a blog really as effective a marketing tool as a traditional website? It all depends.

Whether or not you should start your own blog depends largely on the use to which you blog will be put. Many bloggers are blogging for strictly social reasons; other use their blogs for productive purpose; and some bloggers manage to combine socializing and being productive in a single blog.

If your intention in starting a blog is to socialize, you will be most successful by creating your blog at one of the high-traffic social networking sites like MySpace and opening it up for comments so that you can begin a dialog with your readers.

If you want a productive blog, on the other hand, asking yourself why you should start your own blog takes on added importance, because anyone maintaining a productive blog will have to make a commitment of time if he or she expects the blog to succeed.

If you are considering a productive blog, you would do well to steer clear of the social networking arena and set yourself up on one of the blog hosting sites like WordPress or Blogger. When you have your blog up and running, you'll no longer need to ask yourself "Why start your own blog when you have an existing website?"

One time consuming aspect of maintaining a blog is that of monitoring the comments posted by your blog's readers. While those fresh contents can keep your blog in the of search engines' radar, you could end up with some less than desirable blog posts and even get caught in the middle of battles between your viewers.

Blog comments are also often abused by spammers who simply want to plug their own websites, blogs, or pet causes. And if you have to spend a great amount of time refereeing warring readers, you'll have that much less time to attend to the marketing aspects of your blog.

If you think you can manage it, create a blog which allows you to interact socially with your readers at the same time you are using it to increase your productivity. Why?

If you want to run with the big dogs in your industry, you will have to find some way of communicating to them that you are ready to do so. Being available to answer their questions on your blog is one way.

If you have a firmly held, defensible, but generally discounted belief regarding your products, leave a few challenging comments on related blogs, with links to you blog so that those who are interested can drop by to argue your point. When they arrive at your blog, lure them to your sales page.

Why start a blog when you already have a website? To socialize, to become more productive, or to become more productive by socializing. Blogs simply function in ways that websites were never meant to! <bio>Author: Matt Garrett =A9 2007 http://www.BlogTactics.com | Blog Tutorials and Videos Grab Your Free Step By Step Guide to Setting Up Your First Blog Now!! http://www.blogtactics.com/newsletter.html </bio>

Recently, I wrote an article on how to ratchet up your blog visitors by using an announcement list. If you own a blog, this technique is like putting a leash on your visitors. You can easily notify your blog readers each time you make a new post. That way, they'll stay on top of your blog entries.

I've already had several customers implement the blog broadcast announcement list with success. But, after implementing each step, getting people to your site isn't always as easy. Without traffic, your list simply won't start growing. A constant flow of visitors to your blog is a key step if want blog readers.

So the question is, how does one get this traffic? I have laid out several techniques I use to get traffic to my own blog. So, here they are:

Articles

Articles are a terrific way to advertise what your blog offers. Write an article every day if you can. Give some free information and teach your readers what kind of information if found at your blog. The article should be at least 600 words. Anything smaller than that usually doesn't get as much attention by readers. If you write much more beyond that, chances are you'll start to bore your readers. Make it long enough, and then give a link to your blog for more information. I use iSnare.com as an easy way to submit articles.

Commenting On Other Blogs

If you have a blog, you probably read other blogs. If the blogs you read happen to be similar to your own, simply leave them a nice comment. Maybe you can mention your own blog in the comment, as long as it doesn't give the owner the impression of spam. Also, be sure that you are using your blogs domain name in the URL field. I recommend doing so whenever you post a comment. The blog author might just notice your link and include a link back to your blog in their links, or blogroll as some call it.

Blog Carnivals

A blog carnival is an event when one blog will host a carnival. During a carnival, the blog author will write a blog entry and will post links to other authors blog entries. Carnivals go on every day at different times. Search around for them and submit to the carnivals relating to your blog post. Submit a well written blog entry to a blog carnival, and soon enough you'll see that boost of blog visitors you've been waiting for.

Products

If you create any type of products online, it only takes a simple message to your customers to come check out your blog for daily updates. The more products the better. I often instruct my customers to visit my blog at some point during the course. This way, they'll pretty much have to visit your blog if they follow the course step by step.

I hope these traffic techniques will help you in your ventures to get that traffic you've been looking forward to. If you're interested, you can visit my personal blog at http://www.aaronbrandon.com.
There's a hidden advantage to blogging of which you may note be aware: it's far simpler to submit a blog to both blog directories and RSS feeds than it is to submit a website to website directories. Why?

Because the web directories have free features which let you submit your blog's fresh content without having to fill in any forms. This system, which works for RDD feeds as well, is called "pinging" and is available from sites like http://pingoat.com and http://kping.com.

All you need do is ping your blog and an updated version of to will be sent to each of the major blog directories, which now number around forty. Think of it: just type in your blog's url and title, hit submit, and your updated blog will be available on over forty directories!

You should, in order to maximize you blog's chance of generating traffic from the directories and RSS feeds, put a lot of thought into your choice of a blog title. It should contain your most targeted keyword, because you want that included in the backlinks you get when you submit the blog to the directories and feeds.

When you submit your blog to the directories and RSS feeds, you will also benefit by having it placed on the first page of a number of them. This placement may result in a momentary surge in your blog's traffic from people who want to see what blog content has been updated most recently.

After you have submitted your updated blog to the RSS feeds and blog directories which offer the ping feature, you can then submit it the old fashioned way to the directories and RSS feeds which do not offer it.

You'll find a reasonably comprehensive list of them at http://vilesileincer.com.

You can strategize your blog submissions to these directories most effectively by submitting first to those directories which offer enticements like first page positioning, or which have higher PR, which will be reflected in your blog's PR.

Most of the RSS directories cannot accept submissions via ping, so you'll have to rely on manual submissions to get you in to the majority of them. <bio>Author: Matt Garrett =A9 2007 http://www.BlogTactics.com | Blog Tutorials and Videos Grab Your Free Step By Step Guide to Setting Up Your First Blog Now!! http://www.blogtactics.com/newsletter.html </bio>

Sometimes it is difficult to keep up with a blog especially if your blog is part of a field in which there are many changes or developments such as celebrity news or technology developments.

There are several blogs on the net where several contributors share one blog to make sure it is always fat and juicy and laden with fresh information. In this blog format it would not be unusual to see six or seven lawyers contributing to one blog or a group of book reviewers writing reviews (possibly hired by someone who is linking to a big book store like Amazon.)

Whether or not you want to share your blog comes down to how you want to identify yourself to your readers --as an expert who knows more than the rest or as an expert who is open to other people's opinions. However these types of shared expert blogs often blossom into genuine information and reference material portals that can bring you a lot of attention, traffic and business. The idea is to not let any other expert that you are sharing a blog with outshine you. Such arrangements work best if a firm schedule is set about whose turn it is to write a blog and if certain themes are assigned by the group and then stuck to so that nobody is treading on anyone else's toes.

Another possibility is to join a web site that already has multiple blogs on it. This is a good option if you want to build an audience quickly as many of these blog sites, such as wordpress.com all ready have a lot of traffic and your blog is hosted under the umbrella of their advertising. However the problem with this tact is that you don't have your own unique URL, which can make you slightly harder to find in the search engines. <bio>Christopher Angus is a SEO and Website Marketer.
The internet marketing community is buzzing about blog advertising. But there are still many folks who are wondering just what blog advertising is.

Before you can begin to define blog advertising it is important to establish what a blog is. A blog is a web log or web diary. Or at least that is how it started. But blogging has evolved into something much more while there are still millions (or billions) of folks starting and operating traditional web logs.

A blog is a web site that is easy to start and maintain because blogging is about content and not the system that supports it which is what attracts many web novices to the format. Blogs make it easy to have a site up and running in minutes. However for many more experienced web users blogging is also a great content management system, a great search engine optimization tool and an easy way to share information with a targeted audience.

In simplest terms, a blog is a web site that is actually a system of connected pages (or rather posts) that are organized by date with the most recent post presented first. So now that you understand what a blog is we can discuss the definition for blog advertising.

Blog advertising is as simple as it sounds. It is the advertising connected with a blog. Almost since the inception of blogging there has been some form of advertising involved. Banners and text ads have long been run in the top or heading of the blog, along the sides in sidebars, and along the bottom in footers. Then as the text link advertising industry began to pick up bloggers discovered they could sell text links on their blogs. Today, the hot topic in blog advertising is post sponsorship. This means that a blogger will include a link and often targeted key words and text within a post for an advertiser. A sponsored post will sometimes be written specifically for an advertiser and centered around specific key words and phrases. Some sponsored blog posts are reviews of a web site or product. Other sponsored blog posts are straight-forward blog posts that follow the traditional content and format of the blog but give a brief sponsorship mention.

Blogging is certainly not new and blog advertising is not new, but recent developments in the field have made it a hot topic of interest in the internet marketing community. <bio>Learn more about blog advertising and how to advertise on blogs at http://renaissancewomanonline.com/blogadvertising.php </bio>

There has been a great deal of buzz about <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/blogs" rel="tag">blogs in the past few years. If you haven't yet jumped on the bandwagon, I will do everything I can to convince you that it may help you succeed in business. Just like anything else, blogs only work with a real commitment. Blogs do require work. You get as much out of your blog as you put into it.

The right blog can make or break your business. It can help you succeed online in many ways. Most importantly, it will bring you closer to your customers. When you communicate through your blog, you are building a relationship. As your customers become more familiar with your business the more likely they will do business with you. If you play your cards right, your blog can do the selling for you.

The power of a business blog compared to traditional advertising mediums is that you are talking to your customers as opposed to talking about your product. Your customers are not interested the greatness of your product until they can trust you. They couldn't care less about marketing hype. A clever tag line will only go so far when you are just another business. Your blog can differentiate your business from your competitors. Your customers want you to talk to them. More importantly, they want to interact with you. When there is interaction between your business and your customers you both benefit. Your customers gain better understanding of your business, your products or services, and your mission. Your business benefits because your customers will provide you with a constant flow if feedback that will enable continuous improvements.

At the time of writing this article, it is reported that there are over 71 million blogs in the world. Don't let the huge number fool you. Most blogs are insignificant projects that never trigger an ounce of interest from anyone except for the blogger that owns the blog. Most bloggers lose interest in their own blogs before anyone else would get excited about them. If you are not passionate about your blog, you are wasting your time. Without your devotion your business blog will suffer an early death. <bio>webene http://www.webene.com </bio>

Are you considering starting your own blogging business? If so, you aren't alone! In fact, many people have found a way to create a handsome income through blog writing, so there is no reason why you can't do it as well. At the same time, if you are currently working and you are thinking about jumping into the world of blogging, there are a few steps you should take in order to make certain you make a smooth transition into the blogging world and that your finances are under control.

Get Your Feet Wet

Before you turn in your resignation and hit the web, it is a good idea to get your feet wet in the world of blogging. Spend some time reading some blogs and interacting with blogging communities so you can get a better idea of how blogs work and how the communities are built. You might also want to guest blog for some of the more popular blogs or even write blog paid blog posts for someone else so you can better determine whether or not writing blogs is something you enjoy. Of course, you can certainly set up a free blog with a site such as blogger and you can get started with your own blog. If you notice that your blog is generating some interest, you may very well have found a way to leave the rat race and start a successful home based career.

Monetizing Your Blog

After you have successfully built up a community with one blog, you might want to start dabbling in different ways to monetize your blog. Allowing pay-per-click advertisements to be placed on your blog is one way to monetize your site. You might also want to get involved with affiliate products and look into selling them through your website. Another option is to sell advertisement space on your blog. In fact, if your blog becomes popular enough, you will find people coming to you and asking to place their ads on your blog.

Spreading Your Wings

If you find that you were able to make one blog a success, you might want to start looking into creating additional blogs. The key is to make certain you don't overburden yourself by creating more blogs than you can keep up with while still holding down your job. After all, building a successful blog takes time and maintaining a successful blog requires making a commitment to add new blog content on a regular basis. Therefore, you don't want to have so many blogs going that you cannot keep up with them.

Until you start earning enough income from your blogs, you may have to juggle both your regular 9 to 5 job as well as your blogging business. But, once your blogs take off and you start earning a decent amount of cash from them, it just may be time to spread your wings and jump into blogging full time!<bio>Larry McCullough has been marketing and writing on the internet for over 10 years.
Blogs represent power. Its power comes from its inter active nature. Blogs enable you to communicate with your customers quickly and efficiently. The most important aspect of communicating through a blog is that it is two-way interaction. You can make quick adjustments based on the feedback you receive.

Let's say you are experimenting with an idea for a brand new product. You have thought about it for a while, and you are pretty sure you have a winner there. Before you would even make your first prototype you could post your idea on your blog and engage your customers. They may love the idea or attack it. No matter how they react, your visitors will tell you exactly what they think about the product. They may not be clear about your idea and ask for clarification, or they may help you improve your idea. The constant communication between your business and your customers is what makes blogging so powerful.

You may think that your business could not benefit from a blog, or that there is nothing to blog about your products, or that nobody would be interested in reading about your services in a blog. It is simply untrue. You can make almost anything interesting. You can provide valuable information about your business regardless of your business.

Think of your blog as the vehicle for fresh content about topics that excite your customers. The topics you blog about has to be valuable enough, so your customers return regularly. Your customers may not return every day, but if you provide value they will be back on a regular basis.

In addition to providing valuable content, your blog should also provide outside links to further reading. You may refer to an article you have read on another blog, embedding a link in your blog that your user can follow. The more value you can create the more your customers will appreciate it.

When you are blogging for business you can potentially reach a global audience. Your blog enables you to suddenly reach a global market. As you becoming a dedicated blogger, you establish yourself as an expert. Hence, you are building new avenues to success. As others learn about your blog, you are building your brand. A successful blogger can quickly become the talk of mainstream media. <bio>Webene http://www.webene.com </bio>

It is highly recommended that you SEO your blog content. It is not recommended however that you make your blog sound stiff and technical for the sake of attracting search engines. When it comes to actually incorporating your keywords into your blog copy keep in mind that the best blogs are the ones that sound casual. Nobody wants to read a robotic repetitive piece of copy.

One key to keeping your blog looking neat and readable is to keep the content less than 300 words. 250 words per blog is idea. Keeping them looking reasonably uniform and the same length is also more visually eye catching and more likely to keep curious eyeballs on your page and not someone else's.

Another thing you need to note is the way the headline of your blog article looks. Shorter is almost always better. Long search engine optimized blog titles don't work if they are cut off at the end. Make sure that any blog headlines that you have are.

You should also make sure that your blog headlines are not too commercial or corny sounding. For instance a blog title such as "Make thousands a day using SEO!" is not going to work as well as a subtler phrase such as "How SEO Let Me Quit My Day Job." Corny headlines look like spam to a lot of people when they get them on their RSS feeds so their eyes simply glaze over when they see something like "Hoodia Miracle Weight Loss Drug!" or "Grow Bigger Breasts in Three Days."

Unless the acronym is very well known you are also supposed to stay away from using them as headlines in your blog. However this is not advised if your SEO title is too long as in "Valuable tips for Utilizing Search Engine Tips for Blogs."
