<content:encoded><![CDATA[With so many people longing to get in shape today, it is no small wonder there are a number of reality shows with a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/fitness+theme" rel="tag">fitness theme</a>. Some people may say that sitting on the sofa watching a fitness show is not really helpful, but watching others get in shape -- especially people that seemed to be almost <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hopeless+cases" rel="tag">hopeless cases</a> -- can inspire you to lose weight and get fit.<br><br>One of the most popular fitness/weight loss shows on American television is NBC's "The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/biggest+loser" rel="tag">Biggest Loser</a>." The premise of "The Biggest Loser" is simple -- take obese people and have them live on a campus while they learn to properly diet and workout with the help of trainers. One of the reasons the show is so popular is that the people chosen to go on the show seem almost doomed to failure because they are so obese. Many are facing medical issues such as diabetes or heart disease if they do not get their weight under control. However, most feel that being so large hinders them from exercise.<br><br>"The Biggest Loser" has been on the air for five seasons. The first season was comprised of 12 contestants divided up between two trainers, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/bob+harper" rel="tag">Bob Harper</a> and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/jillian+michaels" rel="tag">Jillian Michaels</a>. Season 2 featured 14 contestants who were divided up into teams based on their gender. Season 3 had a twist -- it featured 50 contestants, one from each state. From that 50, it was narrowed down to 14 who would remain at the campus with Bob and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/kim+lyons" rel="tag">Kim Lyons</a> (who replaced Jillian), but the other 36 participated in a weigh loss/<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/fitness+program" rel="tag">fitness program</a> at home and some of them later rejoined the cast. Season 4 saw an even bigger surprise -- of the original 18 that showed up on campus, only 12 were chosen for teams. However, the six not chosen formed the secretive Black team, trained by Jillian. The Black Team trained separately and unknown from the other teams, but later joined them. The fifth season of "The Biggest Loser" featured couples -- teams comprised of mother/daughter, father/daughter, brothers, best friends, former teammates, mother/son, etc. Each duo fought against the other couples until the Blue and Black teams were established. Seasons 6 and 7 are scheduled to be "The Biggest Loser: Families" and "The Biggest Loser: Couples II" respectively.<br><br>Each season the contestants learn not only how to eat nutritiously, but also must workout each day. While the trainers help, there are times when the contestants must figure out their own diet and workout plans based on what they have learned on the show.<br><br>Another reality show with a fitness theme focuses on celebrities who have let themselves go -- "Celebrity Fit Club." "Celebrity Fit Club" airs on VH1 and is now in its sixth season. Celebrities such as comedian Ralphie May, rapper Biz Markie, actress Jackee Harry, actress Kelly LeBrock, singer Carnie Wilson, and actress Maureen McCormick, and host A.J. Benza have appeared on the show. Like contestants on "The Biggest Loser," the celebrities are shown how to prepare healthy meals while also undergoing physical training with former Drill Sergeant Harvey Walden, IV. There is also a psychotherapist there to help the celebrities get to the root of their weight problems.<br><br>Whether it is real people or celebrities losing weight, a fitness reality show can inspire you to get in shape and eat healthier.<bio>Libbles is a writer at <a href="http://www.reality-tv-online.com">Reality-TV-Online.com</a> where you can get the latest recaps of the <a href="http://www.reality-tv-online.com/biggest-loser.html">Biggest Loser</a>.</bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[All over the world, night after night, millions of people are riveted to their TV sets - but not to watch the latest soap, or CSI. Not to watch Jay Leno or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sex+in+the+city" rel="tag">Sex in the City</a>. Not to see who outwits, outlasts and outplays others in Survivor. No - they are spellbound by the efforts of a small band of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/obese+people" rel="tag">obese people</a> trying to overcome the effects of years of overeating. <br /><br /> It's not surprising that for so many people this is compulsive viewing. Obesity is the new epidemic. Fat children lumber around school playgrounds while their overweight mothers fill shopping carts with wrong <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/choices" rel="tag">choices</a>. Then... they sit down at night to watch The Biggest Loser. They see <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/dramatic+weight+loss" rel="tag">dramatic weight loss</a> and startling new body shapes beginning to emerge. They want the same results - and they begin to think it might be possible. <br /><br /> But who has four or five hours a day to work out? Who can afford a personal trainer several times a week? And who has the luxury of their own <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/personal+adviser" rel="tag">personal adviser</a> on calorie content and smart food choices? The answer is: not many people. But you have to remember that this is television: it's a false situation. As the players keep reminding themselves and the viewers: "This is a GAME. You have to make the most of your time here - it's going to be so much harder out in the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/real+world" rel="tag">real world</a>." <br /><br /> IS it harder in the real world? Probably. But you can take lessons away from watching this reality show. You can make it work for you, as well as for the contestants. Here are three practical and useful lessons you can put to use immediately. <br /><br /> 1. Put Weight Loss First. <br /><br /> In the Biggest Loser <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/household" rel="tag">household</a> WEIGHT LOSS COMES FIRST. Make it come first in your household, too. Sounds simple, doesn't it? It is. In fact, so simple that many people just overlook it. They try to fit exercise and meal planning around everything else in their lives, instead of making it a priority. <br /><br /> Think: what is most important: getting the weight off, and becoming fit enough to put years on your life - or watching another TV show? Sit down with a pen and paper and allot at least one hour a day to planning meals, recording what you eat, and doing some form of exercise. You've still got 23 hours left to do everything else! <br /><br /> 2. E is for Exercise - and Enjoy! <br /><br /> What else do you notice in the Biggest Loser household? The more they exercise, the more they seem to enjoy it. Oh sure, they grunt and they groan; they sweat and they complain. But as the weeks go on, you'll hear them say things like: "I never thought I'd say that I look forward to working out - but now don't feel right if a day goes past without exercise!" <br /><br /> The secret to enjoying exercise is finding what's right for YOU. If you don't really enjoy the gym, look for other forms of exercise. You need a mix of cardio and resistance training - but it doesn't have to be on machines. Walk, swim, dance, climb hills, push a wheelbarrow in the garden... there are endless choices that can be fun for you. Research what happens to various muscle groups - and to your heart - when you exercise, and pick activities that you will enjoy. <br /><br /> 3. Identify the Triggers. <br /><br /> Emotions run high when the contestants have to face their demons. Weight gain is rarely from just a physical cause. If you keep a food diary, and faithfully record not only what you eat but when (and why) you eat it, you'll soon see a pattern of emotional eating. What are YOUR triggers? Boredom? Tiredness? Family arguments? <br /><br /> Once you have identified these triggers, you can start working on strategies to defeat them. This can be as simple as challenging yourself every time you want food. ("Am I hungry - yes or no? If I'm not hungry, then why do I want to eat? Am I really just thirsty? If I'm running to the fridge because I'm upset, is there something else I can do to feel better? Is there a long-term solution that will fix this forever?" and so on.) If you're not yet ready to deal with the root cause, then be prepared with food that won't add to your problems with the resulting rolls of fat. Make sure that you have 'good' food at hand - but also food that you LIKE. <br /><br /> These are just three of the lessons that anyone can take away from watching The Biggest Loser. And you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you did it all by yourself. <bio>Brent is a health nutrition consultant that writes for <a href="<a href="http://www.2-goodhealth.com">http://www.2-goodhealth.com</a>"><a href="http://www.2-goodhealth.com">http://www.2-goodhealth.com</a></a> - for more free resources that are health related visit <a href="<a href="http://www.2-goodhealth.com">http://www.2-goodhealth.com</a>"><a href="http://www.2-goodhealth.com">http://www.2-goodhealth.com</a></a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ If you were asked what your favorite team was last year to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/bet" rel="tag">bet</a> on, who would it be? Hopefully you answered <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/tennessee+titans" rel="tag">Tennessee Titans</a>. This is not because they were the best team but rather because they did cover the spread more times then any other team in the NFL . They covered the spread 11 out of 16 regular season games before they got blistered in the first round of the playoffs. <br /><br /> If you are not a fan of the Titans then you may have been a little <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hesitant" rel="tag">hesitant</a> to put your money on this team. This is a mistake that many people that are new to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sports+betting" rel="tag">sports betting</a> make. Picking winners is not always done by picking the most talented team. Gambling on football has always been common place and you would be surprised at how many people do not know what they are doing. Most people that bet at sportsbooks do not know how <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/point+spreads" rel="tag">point spreads</a> work or what they are truly for. Understanding your bet is <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/crucial" rel="tag">crucial</a> no matter how small the amount. <br /><br /> Many beginning bettors make the mistake of thinking that sports betting is about wits and the internet sportsbook is the opponent. This is in fact not the case at all. The spread is nothing more than a tool that is used to balance out the sides that people are betting on. It is a part of life in sports and is posted in every newspaper, on tv, and millions of sites on the internet. If the point spread does it's job then half of the money will be on one team and the other half of the money on the other team. <br /><br /> The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/most+common+type" rel="tag">most common type</a> of spread you will see usually looks something like - 2.5 for team a against team b which is +2.5. If you bet on Team A then they would have to win by at least 3 points for you to win. On the other hand, if you bet on Team B, you can lose the game by 2 points and still win the bet. It is my opinion to always buy the extra half point so that you have a chance to push if the bet hits right on the spread. This only cost a very little amount but could save your whole bet. <br /><br /> When you see a line of -110 for example, this is referred to as the juice the sportsbook charges you to place your bet. You would have to risk $110 to win $100. If it works like it is supposed to then the sportsbook basically takes $100 from a loser and gives it to the winner. The sportsbook gets to keep the $10 juice from the loser. You are basically playing against the people betting the other way. You will also see lines that are for example +110 for a team. This means that you only have to risk $100 and you will win $110. The odds and juice vary on every sports bet depending on the match up. <br /><br /> You will also see the line change every so often in a continuous attempt to keep the action as balanced as possible. In some occasions, the internet sportsbook will take a gamble itself and move the line in an attempt to get more money bet on the side that they think will be the loser. This only happens so often and you never know when it does because the sportsbooks usually leave it up to the bettors to decide how the line changes. <br /><br /> The odds work the same way for all types of bets in every type of sport. You obviously will get better odds on some games or events then others. If you do not understand a bet, then you should not be making that bet. <bio>Find all of the information you need about only the most trusted <a href="http://www.pressmybet.com" >http://www.pressmybet.com</a> internet sportsbooks out there. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Here's a quick question for you. What's the one biggest thing stopping you from becoming the guitarist that you truly want to be? Is it lack of time to practice? How about lack of money to get guitar lessons? How about a spouse who doesn't support your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/guitar+playing" rel="tag">guitar playing</a> endeavors? Or what about having to work long hours to support your family? <br /><br /> If you're like 97% of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/guitarists" rel="tag">guitarists</a>, you said the wrong answer. The right answer is YOU. Everyone is their own biggest obstacle to their guitar playing progress. Before you get offended and abuse me, let me explain further... <br /><br /> I believe strongly that our reality is based not on our circumstances but our PERCEPTION to our circumstances. This means that you could have two guitarists in exactly the same situation who react completely differently to that situation. I'll give you a real life example... <br /><br /> I have a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/roommate" rel="tag">roommate</a> who works a nine to five <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/job" rel="tag">job</a>. Nothing unusual there... a lot of people do. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/unfortunately" rel="tag">Unfortunately</a> this roommate uses his job as an excuse not to practice. He says that when he gets home from work he's always too tired to practice. I suggested to him once that he could get up an hour earlier each day to practice. This comment caused him to look at me like I was insane. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/bottom+line" rel="tag">Bottom line</a>? My roommate isn't willing to make a VERY small lifestyle change to pursue his <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/musical+dreams" rel="tag">musical dreams</a>. Most likely he'll go to his grave lamenting the fact that he andquot;never had time to practiceandquot;. How sad! <br /><br /> Luckily, not everyone has this loser preception. I have students who are just as busy (or busier!) but perceive the whole situation differently. They see their nine to five job as a challenge. They meet this challenge by getting up early to practice. They also make sure that they exercise regularly so that they have the energy to practice after work as well. Bottom line? They are steadily progressing towards their musical goals and dreams! <br /><br /> Can you see how the different preceptions of the same circumstance caused two different sets of actions? <br /><br /> Let's now look at a simple way that you can perceive your andquot;negative circumstancesandquot; differently. Please follow the following steps... <br /><br /> ***Step One*** <br /><br /> Write down a circumstance in your life that you feel is slowing down your guitar progress. <br /><br /> ***Step Two*** <br /><br /> Write down exactly HOW the circumstance prevents you from progressing. <br /><br /> ***Step Three*** <br /><br /> Write down at least ten action steps that you could take to overcome the circumstance. Don't stop until you have at least ten. <br /><br /> ***Step Four*** <br /><br /> Just do it! Take action and DO the action steps. Do what ever it takes. Remember...your musical development is at stake! <br /><br /> One last thought. I believe that for EVERY excuse you could ever have, there are guitarists in the world who have overcome exactly the same excuse. <bio>Craig Bassett is a professional guitarist, author and guitar tutor. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ Let's face it, your are probably pretty frustrated with the fact that no matter how hard you try, six pack abs seem to be a thing of fantasy and dreams. But hold on, you have seen the proof that other people can get a six pack, so what makes you so different to them? <br /><br /> After all, are you really a loser? I hope not, else you wouldn't be reading this right? Only losers listen to their own advice and ignore the things that really work when it comes to getting six pack abs. <br /><br /> Visit secretsixpackabs.com and you will discover that YOU CAN get your own sexy six pack abs. <br /><br /> Until now, the mystery of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/how+to+lose+stomach+fat" rel="tag">how to lose stomach fat</a> has plagued all of us hard working, ab crunching, gym slaves in the past. But I don't know about you, but I simply don't have the time or energy after working my <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/day+job" rel="tag">day job</a> to actually try, let alone see results. <br /><br /> If you're like me, you're probably wondering if there is a secret or shortcut to effectively losing that ugly stomach fat and developing your very own six pack in the quickest possible time...well, you will pleased to know that there is. <br /><br /> But first, you need to start with the building blocks. After all, building a solid house that stays level and safe for a lifetime cannot be built on sand. In other words, you need to adopt the following principles before you even stand a chance of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/getting+a+six+pack" rel="tag">getting a six pack</a>... <br /><br /> 1. Get motivated <br /><br /> Sounds like hype, but being motivated is the key to actually succeeding. If you can't stick to something, you won't reap the benefits of it. The easiest way to get motivated is to recognize exactly WHY you want to lose your stomach fat and get a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/nice+six+pack" rel="tag">nice six pack</a>. Is it for more confidence? Is it to look great naked (or clothed)? Is it to show off to your friends and family who told you "you can't do it, loser!" <br /><br /> After all, time is running out and the last thing we want to do is waste more time and money trying the latest <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/fad+diet" rel="tag">fad diet</a>, the slickest new abs machine or the new <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/gym+membership" rel="tag">gym membership</a> that promises you a new life... <br /><br /> 2. Identify the proof <br /><br /> Following on from being motivated, you need to know that getting a six pack IS achievable, yes, even for the podgy belly losers amongst us. Check out some proven training programs, do your research if you need to, see what others say about a personal trainer or an abs training system. Ultimately, KNOW that your goals are there to be won. <br /><br /> 3. Allocate some time <br /><br /> You need to be fairly strict when it comes to any kind of fitness training, especially muscle building. With the right program, you can just as easily see lightening fast results as you can no results at all..the key difference being how well you follow and stick to your chosen program and diet. Make sure you put time slots in your calender, and let those who care know when you can and cannot "party" or "slouch on the couch". The benefit of this is that people will understand, respect and support your efforts when they know what you are up to on a daily basis. <br /><br /> These are just three small steps you can start doing today for free, but these three things are truly not enough to see noticeable and fast abs on their own. <br /><br /> You need to have a professional and concentrated diet, along with a well proven abs training program to see the best results in the quickest possible time. <bio>Ab belts, ab-rockers, ab-loungers, and other infomercial ab-gimmicks... they're all a complete waste of your time and money. Visit <a href="http://www.secretsixpackabs.com" >http://www.secretsixpackabs.com</a> and you will discover that YOU CAN get your own sexy six pack abs, but only if you know our best kept secret... </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ The Joe in question isn't me. It's a good friend of mine. <br /><br /> Born in squalor, raised in need, and oppressed by his neighbors, he fought tooth and nail to survive the slums, enter a good university- and now, runs a multitude of companies. <br /><br /> These aren't your run of the mill single proprietorships. These are mid <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/scale+corporations" rel="tag">scale corporations</a> with 100 to 500 dedicated employees. Each one radiates the zest he does. <br /><br /> We had a long talk over <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/coke+light" rel="tag">Coke Light</a> last night (yep, beer's no good for powerhouses) and I discovered we both lived by similar principles. These tenets helped us survive the tumult of life: <br /><br /> - You can't be everything to everybody <br /><br /> - Don't waste time befriending <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/mad+dogs" rel="tag">mad dogs</a>. <br /><br /> - Admit there is no perfection, but strive for it nonetheless. <br /><br /> - Never underestimate the delight of real simplicity in lifestyle. <br /><br /> - Avoid unecessary complications. <br /><br /> - Consider first what is worth fighting for. <br /><br /> - Focus your mind on the pleasant aspects of life. <br /><br /> - Concentrate on things that can enhance your situation. <br /><br /> - Forget what is irrevocably painful or ugly. <br /><br /> - Frustration paralyzes efficiency. Ditch it. <br /><br /> - When you feel like a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/loser" rel="tag">loser</a>, look back at all those shining moments. There's no such thing as a loser. <br /><br /> - Never procrastinate- cut through the chase and get things done. Or you'll suffer tomorrow. <br /><br /> - Realize that men aren't created equal. That's a fact. But we all deserve equal opportunities. <br /><br /> - There will always be leaders and followers. Not everyone can be president. <br /><br /> - There is no cut and dried formula for success. Run for the hills when someone sells you one. <br /><br /> and here's one thing I realized after I <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/graduated+college" rel="tag">graduated college</a>: <br /><br /> - Success isn't an accident. It's a choice. <br /><br /> Let me tell you something. Every action, thought, and emotion you entertain ultimately shapes your future. Since you made it to the end of this article, I know you're committed to creating the good life for yourself. You can begin right now by deciding to make the right choices. <br /><br /> Every time. <bio>Joseph Plazo isa recognized <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/persuasion+expert" rel="tag">persuasion expert</a> .... but can't persuade his business partners and clients to leave him alone. <a href="http://www.xtrememind.com" >http://www.xtrememind.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Want to get into better <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/physical+shape" rel="tag">physical shape</a>? If your only focus is on losing weight, you might be setting yourself up for failure. For example, what are the habits in your life that are keeping you from getting healthier? I used a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/calorie+chart" rel="tag">calorie chart</a> (also known as a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/food+log" rel="tag">food log</a>), to discover what I REALLY needed to lose.<br><br>In the process I dropped twenty pounds.<br><br>What I learned is that a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/calorie+counting+chart" rel="tag">calorie counting chart</a> can open a window inside of us; a way to find out what's driving us -- motivating us -- to do the things we do. My experience has convinced me that one of the best tools you can use when you get serious about improving your health is a calorie chart or food log. Why? Because these simple tools don't lie. If you put accurate information into your calorie chart, it will give you accurate data back. Data you can use to improve your life one tiny bit at a time.<br><br>As it turns out, that's all it takes to win the battle of getting healthier. One small step after another.<br><br>Here is a quick list of 'losers' I discovered I needed to shed before I could get to my next win. See if they will work for you, too.<br><br>Loser #1 -- <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/inflexible+attitude" rel="tag">Inflexible attitude</a>.<br><br>I struggled with this loser. Maybe you have, too. This is the I-don't-want-to-change-what-I-eat-because-this-is-how-I've-always-done-things loser. Truthfully, this is a tough habit to change simply because it's subtle and difficult to spot.<br><br>We are <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/creatures+of+habit" rel="tag">creatures of habit</a>. To improve our health in any way means breaking through our ingrained patterns and making tiny changes. Simply going left when we usually go right. Eating at the table instead of in front of the TV...at least twice a week. Agreeing with ourselves to have a glass of water before we eat...anything.<br><br>There are a thousand ways to make little adjustments in our daily lives and our attitude is the place it all starts.<br><br>Now, the good news is this inflexible attitude will be our <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/new+best+friend" rel="tag">new best friend</a>, if we train it right. Imagine your inflexible attitude telling you that you can't eat an extra 500 calories today because that's not what you do in this body. And imagine you feeling complete peace about that. With practice, it can happen.<br><br>Your calorie chart will tell you what that 500 calories looks like for you. Your attitude will tell you what to do with that information.<br><br>Loser #2 -- Sticking with only a few food choices.<br><br>We all get into ruts. Doing the same thing at the same time in the same way. It's often true of our eating habits, too. For example, my family has the same ten meals that we like to eat over and over again. I find this is true of other families, as well. A food log shows you these food patterns and you can use this information to add more variety into your diet which, in turn, will make your new eating habits feel more like an adventure, rather than something you dread.<br><br>Using the data from my calorie counting chart, my family's favorite meals got an infusion of healthier ingredients. Plus we all benefited from trying out a fresh recipe every week or two. A happy side effect I didn't expect is that now I have more options when it comes to dinner planning and it's easier to get a healthier meal on the table in record time. Many families struggle with the late afternoon "what's for dinner" dilemma. Losing your self-imposed limitation of only a few food choices will mean winning a greater variety of yummy food options at your dinner table.<br><br>Loser #3 -- Out of control eating.<br><br>A calorie chart puts you in the driver's seat. A food log is a lot like a household budget. Far from being a straitjacket, a budget is a liberating tool. Instead of guessing at your finances, you can see EXACTLY what you have available to spend, what you have already spent, and what is left over.<br><br>The simple act of keeping track of what you eat and drink will give you amazing control over your diet. A calorie chart will help you determine how much to eat for your optimum health. After that, you are in total charge of how to spend those calories. You'll find every day belongs to you when you 'lose' out of control eating and 'win' back the freedom of running your own show.<br><br>Loser #4 -- Eating by mood.<br><br>Let's face it; sometimes it's easier to feel better by eating our favorite food than by taking the extra step of determining more precisely what we need. The trouble is eating to satiate our moods only reinforces our struggles with this losing habit. Eating to elevate our moods works against what we really want.<br><br>A calorie chart can help us untangle our thoughts when it comes to mood related eating. By learning the patterns of what we eat and when, along with what types of foods we crave when we're feeling different moods we can win this part of the losing game, too. We can even give ourselves exactly what we need when we need it and save lots of calories in the process.<br><br>Winning by losing in the game of getting healthier is often a matter of opening ourselves up to new ideas and embracing the adventure of doing something a little different than we did it before. Using easy tools like a calorie chart will help us practice these concepts effectively and puts us in the driver's seat of our own minds and bodies.<br><br>And that's a place where we are destined to be winners.<bio>Colleen Langenfeld has been parenting for over 26 years and helps other moms enjoy mothering more at http://www.paintedgold.com . <content:encoded><![CDATA[ 1. Play games you don't know. 2. Chase your losses. 3. Gamble with your winnings. 4. Play when you're drunk. 5. Don't set a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/session+limit" rel="tag">session limit</a>. 6. Expect to win every time. 7. Bet on Red if Black has come up four times in a row. <br /><br /> My friend Joe runs a casino. Business has been slow lately, and he's hoping that he can pull in a few punters by giving these top tips. Go ahead, make Joe happy! <br /><br /> 1. Roulette and Blackjack are popular, but where's the fun in that? There are loads more games out there. Who cares that you don't know how to play? Half the fun is in <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/learning+on+the+job" rel="tag">learning on the job</a>. And if you lose a lot of money in the process, you'll make Joe happy! Sure, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/online+casinos" rel="tag">online casinos</a> allow you to play for free and give you practice credits so you can try out any game without risking your cash, but that's not real gambling is it? Take your bankroll and blow it on Video Poker. Jacks or better? 100 play <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/power+poker" rel="tag">Power Poker</a>? Who knows what they are? Doesn't matter =96 Joe wants you to play. <br /><br /> 2. If you've started with a bankroll of $500 and you've already lost $450, you're not going to get it back by stopping! Bet that last 50 and try to win back your losses. And if you lose that 50, buy some more chips. Doesn't matter how much you've already lost, you can't stop now =96 you're not a quitter, are you? Joe hates quitters. <br /><br /> 3. So you've been lucky and you're up on the night. You brought $500 and now you're on $1000. Now's your chance to get back at Joe. Think of all those times you've left a loser. Now you're playing with Joe's money. That $500 isn't profit, it's revenge! Why walk away with $500 when you could gamble it all and take away $1000. Never mind that talk about the House Edge =96 Joe's panicking. He knows you're about to wipe him out. Keep gambling! <br /><br /> 4. Those <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sexy+waitresses" rel="tag">sexy waitresses</a> aren't just doing their job =96 they really fancy you. You, more than anybody else in the casino. And when they offer you <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/free+drinks" rel="tag">free drinks</a>, it's not to get you drunk, it's because they want to loosen you up for later. Keep drinking, keep flirting, keep gambling =96 Joe wants you to have a good time. And if you're gambling at home, you'll need that genuine casino experience. Open up a bottle of your favourite hard liquor, have a glass or two, then buy a few more chips and just go for it! <br /><br /> 5. Joe thinks of everything. When you're in his casino, you're transported to a world of wonder and mystery. Do you wonder what time it is =96 it's a mystery! That's because Joe wants you to focus on your gambling. Nothing else matters, and he'll do everything he can to ensure you don't get distracted by annoying things like sunrise! Just keep betting, even when you're tired and weary and drunk. Joe says you make your best decisions when you've been playing for 12 hours. Some gamblers set strict time limits on their sessions and only gamble for 2 hours at a time before taking a break. What are they, wimps?! Joe hates wimps. <br /><br /> 6. Every one of your sessions should be a winner. It doesn't matter how much you've lost so far, eventually, you're bound to win. Joe says keep gambling until that happens. <br /><br /> 7. In Roulette, the odds of Red and Black are 50 =96 50 (forget the 0, that doesn't count!) So the probability of Black coming up four times in a row is 1 in 16. Joe says the chance of it being Black again is 1 in 32, so the chance it's going to be Red must be 31 in 32. You'd be a mug not to believe Joe on this one. Gambler's Fallacy? That's just loser talk. You're not a loser are you? <br /><br /> Joe thanks you for reading his top tips for casino gambling. Follow these and you'll keep Joe =96 and all casino owners =96 very happy indeed! <bio>Andy Follin is author of <a href="http://www.fortunepalace.co.uk" >http://www.fortunepalace.co.uk</a>, a one-stop site that explains how to play the most exciting online casino games, gives tried and trusted gambling strategies and recommends the best online casinos (<a href="http://www.fortunepalace.co.uk/recommended.html" >http://www.fortunepalace.co.uk/recommended.html</a>). </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[When you find something really good, there's no need to improve upon it. Take the game of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/backgammon" rel="tag">backgammon</a> for instance. It's been around for a long, long time, but the game of backgammon has not changed. No one has created a version with blinking lights, or made it more extreme. That's because backgammon is easy to learn, fun to play and you can finish a game in just a few minutes. How can you improve on that? <br /><br /> The main objective in backgammon is to move all of your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/game+piece" rel="tag">game piece</a>s from one side of the playing board to the other, eventually removing your pieces from the board.<br /><br />If you are the first player to move all of your pieces off the board, congratulations--you are the winner.<br /><br /><br /><br /> On alternate turns, each player rolls two dice. The numbers rolled will determine how many spaces the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/game+pieces" rel="tag">game pieces</a> can be moved. The individual number on each dice represents each of two different moves. For example, if you roll a 4 and a 3, then you can <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/move+one" rel="tag">move one</a> game piece four spaces and the other piece <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/three+spaces" rel="tag">three spaces</a>. You also have the option of moving one game piece seven spaces. <br /><br /> Whenever possible, it is essential that the active player use both of the numbers rolled. When only one number can be used, the player must play that number. If neither of the numbers can be used, play moves on to the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/opponent" rel="tag">opponent</a>.<br /><br />If they roll two many numbers, then the player can move as many spaces as there are available. On each move, a game piece can be moved on to an open point, a point protected by you, or a point with only one of your opponent's pieces on in.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />If you roll a double, you are able to play twice the number shown on the dice. For example, if you roll two threes, then you can move four pieces each three spaces, or you can move one piece twelve spaces.<br /><br /> <br /><br /> The game is finished when one player removes all of his or her playing pieces by andquot;counting offandquot;.<br /><br />The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/loser" rel="tag">loser</a> then determines how many points are lost. If the loser has removed at least one game piece, he or she loses only the value showing on the doubling cube.<br /><br />If, however, no pieces have yet been removed, the losing player is andquot;gammonedandquot; and loses twice the value of the doubling cube.<br /><br />Backgammon occurs when the losing player has not yet taken pieces from the board AND still has pieces in play in the andquot;verticalandquot; area of the board.<br /><br />In this case, that player loses triple the value of the doubling cube dice.<br /><br /><br /><br /> Backgammon rules can seem confusing at first, but it really is a very easy game to learn and to play.<br /><br />The best way to learn is to play with someone who understands the game, and keep a copy of your backgammon rules close at hand. <bio>Nancy Anderson contributes to several online magazines, including <a href="http://recreation-site.com" >http://recreation-site.com</a> and <a href="http://jebog.com" >http://jebog.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ Are you finding it to be tough to get started in a new venture? Are you working out enough or have you put it off completely? <br /><br /> As we've discussed in prior engagements, the mind only truly reacts to either <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/intense+pleasure" rel="tag">intense pleasure</a> or intense pain. Feeling one of these two emotions will get you to make a change in your life instantly. <br /><br /> Think about it, are you in a "comfort zone"? Have you though about making some changes but life is too comfortable right now? <br /><br /> We see it in many <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/instances" rel="tag">instances</a> but the most prevalent, I think, revolve around <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/relationships" rel="tag">relationships</a> and personal growth. How many people do you know that are in stale relationships but won't move on because of the comfort level? How many have talked about <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/new+business+ventures" rel="tag">new business ventures</a> or making more money only to stave off because of the comfortable life they have at the moment. <br /><br /> Remember, growth only occurs when our mental boundaries expand. If something you haven't done makes you a little uncomfortable (not scares the heck out of you), just think about the positive impact on life the new thing brings to you. Try to push yourself each day. Try to conquer, yes conquer, something new everyday. <br /><br /> The easiest way to accomplish this is through visualization. <br /><br /> What are some of your personal hot buttons? What is the worst thing that could possibly happen to you? <br /><br /> Let's suppose that being "a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/loser" rel="tag">loser</a>" is high on your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/totem+pole" rel="tag">totem pole</a> of worst possible things. If you want to lose weight, just say to yourself when you need an extra push, "Only LOSERS are overweight. I am not a loser; therefore, I'll go to the gym today." <br /><br /> Of course, this represents a generic example. Other examples could be instances where you've seen something very disturbing (like a ruined <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/heart" rel="tag">heart</a> on TV). You can then use that to "influence" you. You obviously don't want your heart to look like that, do you? <br /><br /> You can also use positive experiences to help. <br /><br /> Suppose you were in the best shape of your life in college and there was one particular spring break trip that you remember vividly. Let's just say you had a "great time." If you are looking to get back into that type of shape, just continually reflect on that particular time of your life whenever your motivation subsides. <br /><br /> These examples are completely fabricated but you can definitely understand where I'm coming from. <br /><br /> The "Comfort Zone" may be the worst place to be. Some may argue, in the case of personal growth, that rock bottom may be a better place. The pain that a person can feel when they are this low will push many people to go places they've never dreamed, simply because now they feel like they have nothing to lose. <br /><br /> In order to break out of your "Comfort Zone" and see some meaningful changes, employ the pleasure-pain technique. If the pleasure or pain you associate with the situation is great enough =96 the results are only a thought away. <bio>Brad Howard's Fat Loss Black Book blows the doors off of all the fat loss misinformation being propagated today... <a href="http://www.FatLossBlackBook.com" >http://www.FatLossBlackBook.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

The following are brief overviews of some of the most popular Reality TV shows ever. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/american+idol" rel="tag">American Idol</a> <br /><br /> One of the most popular Reality TV shows to ever be aired is American Idol. This is a show that goes around the country auditioning people who want to be singers. While the beginning can be quite comical as you listen to people with no musical talent try out, as the show progresses and the final contestants are announced, it becomes a more intense show that leaves <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/viewers" rel="tag">viewers</a> on the edge of their seats. The finalists perform for audiences and the judges comment on their performances, but the viewers get involved by voting for their favorite singer each night. The person with the lowest votes is then voted off of the show. The number one singer on American Idol receives a recording contract and usually goes on to have a very successful music career. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/so+you+think+you+can+dance" rel="tag">So You Think You Can Dance</a> <br /><br /> Another one of the top Reality TV shows is the show, So You Think You Can Dance. This is a show that is much like American Idol; however, this show is centered around dancing. While it starts almost the same way, with auditions around the United States, the finalists in this show are challenged in a variety of ways. Contestants have to pick partners and learn to dance new styles of dance, even if they are not familiar with them, and then they perform to try to win over the votes of the viewers. While initially the outcome was determined by the judges votes, recently they decided to start allowing the viewers to vote for their favorite dancer, which made this show even more popular than ever before. <br /><br /> These are just a couple of the most popular Reality TV shows, but there are many more that you may be interested in. Other great shows to consider are: <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/biggest+loser" rel="tag">Biggest Loser</a>, Top Model, Survivor, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/dancing+with+the+stars" rel="tag">Dancing with the Stars</a>, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/who+wants+to+be+a+millionaire" rel="tag">Who Wants to Be a Millionaire</a>, and Fear Factor. <bio>Visit <a href="http://www.reality-tv-online.com/" >http://www.reality-tv-online.com/</a> plus <a href="http://www.reality-tv-online.com/top-chef.html" >http://www.reality-tv-online.com/top-chef.html</a> and <a href="http://www.reality-tv-online.com/american-idol.html" >http://www.reality-tv-online.com/american-idol.html</a>. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Bingo is a popular past time among Americans. It's been around for ages and is a well-loved game of families and friends all over the world. We must remember that bingo is still a game and players need to exercise courtesy and sportsmanship towards one another to keep it all in the name of good, clean fun. Here are guides and some do's and don'ts to remember to enjoy the game better.<br><br>When you're in the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/bingo+hall" rel="tag">bingo hall</a>, do the following:<br><br>* Always pay attention to the host as he calls out the drawn numbers.<br><br>* Pay close attention to the game you are playing. Make sure you are marking your cards well.<br><br>* If you get bored with bingo, try other variations of the game like keno.<br><br>* Do keep your kids at bay. If you're bringing your kids in a bingo hall with you, don't let them run around and cause a ruckus. If you can't leave your kids at home, bring <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/recreational+materials" rel="tag">recreational materials</a> for them to play with while you're playing bingo.<br><br>* Think before you yell 'bingo!'. Make sure you really have all the numbers in the pattern before claiming to be a winner. Calling bingo falsely disrupts the game and messes up the concentration of your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/fellow+players" rel="tag">fellow players</a>.<br><br>* Bingo halls and cigarettes are very synonymous to each other. Smoke only in designated places in the bingo hall.<br><br>When you're in the bingo hall, don't do the following:<br><br>* Do not talk excessively to the point that you're disrupting other players as they concentrate on their game. Be sensitive to your fellow bingo players who are there to seriously play the game.<br><br>* Do not run over any player when you're running to the front to claim your winnings.<br><br>* Be a sport; don't be angry if someone else is proclaimed the winner. That's how any game goes. There's a winner and there's always a loser. Be mature and gracious in handling defeat.<br><br>* Do not hog all the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/table+space" rel="tag">table space</a> by spreading your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/bingo+cards" rel="tag">bingo cards</a> and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/personal+belongings" rel="tag">personal belongings</a> all over the table.<br><br>* Don't grab someone's lucky seat. Some players have their so-called lucky seats. Do not ever sit on one of your fellow player's lucky seat.<br><br>* Don't get angry with the host. He's just doing his job as a number drawer and caller. If the number he's calling out is not in your cards, don't get mad at him. It's not his fault. Don't take your frustrations on the game to other players and the host.<br><br>Online bingo chat room etiquette:<br><br>* Do not use derogatory or swear words in chat rooms.<br><br>* Don't type using capital letters. Even if you're not angry and you do this, people might be in the impression that you are mad.<br><br>* As with any other game, don't be a sore loser! Show respect to the winner by telling him 'congratulations'.<br><br>* Use an appropriate username. Make sure your username will not be offensive to other people. Be sensitive to other people's feelings, even if it's just online.<br><br>* Don't hog the chat room. Give other people a chance to talk.<bio>Paul Eddison invites you to read a review of <a href="http://www.bingobingo.me.uk/meccabingo.php">Mecca Bingo</a> games at www.bingobingo.me.uk</bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[Sometimes my house is called <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/camp+david" rel="tag">Camp David</a> -- no, I don't have any political heads of state there, nor am I entertaining <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/george+bush" rel="tag">George Bush</a>, his dog, and all his Washington drinking <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cronies" rel="tag">cronies</a> -- but I always seem to have a group (sometimes small, sometimes large) of people hanging out there.<br><br>Sometimes on a Bootcamp weekend I'll have a whole bunch of clients staying over at my house -- and then it really is Camp David! It's like a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sleepover" rel="tag">sleepover</a>. They all bring their <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sleeping+bags" rel="tag">sleeping bags</a>, and we go duck hunting in the morning, and then we go do some pow wow stuff. Just kidding, we don't really do that in the mornings!<br><br>So the other night at Camp David we had a couple of people over. There was this one woman there named Amy, and she and Khiem started talking. Khiem wanted to share something that you women tend to do over and over again.<br><br>So ladies, as the men would say, this Bud's for you -- I'll say, ladies, this blog's for you! Without further ado, here is Khiem.<br><br>Khiem: Thanks David. I always enjoy hanging out with you at your house because I can always meet interesting people. Yesterday, I was very fascinated by one of your friends. Amy is obviously beautiful, young and has a lot going for her, but when we started talking, she began to open up about one of her past relationships.<br><br>She actually fell very hard for a "bad boy" or a loser. He supposedly did a lot of drugs, drank a lot and he lied to her, which was a big deal breaker for her. She told him upfront that she didn't like liars and she didn't like <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/hypocrites" rel="tag">hypocrites</a>.<br><br>However, as their relationship developed, she discovered that he lied to her. She broke up with him six months ago, but I found out yesterday she is still heartbroken. She still loves the guy, because they were together for a while.<br><br>And the question is why do women get so attached to these kinds of guys?<br><br>It was really interesting for me to hear how she wanted him to want her back, but she herself didn't really want him back. She knew that by going back to him they would go to a place that would not be good for her in the future.<br><br>What this made me realize is that Amy valued him a lot more because he made her put up with so much of his shit. Even though he lied and drank, the few times that he actually paid attention to her -- the few times he gave her himself -- made her value him more. Every time he would ignore her but then turn around and give himself to her, it was like she hit the jackpot.<br><br>This is something that is very difficult to understand in the psychology of people because this guy was obviously no good, but because he made himself be valued so highly, she couldn't let go. At the end of our conversation, Amy admitted that she might just be attracted to bad boys.<br><br>But for all of the guys out there, you need to learn to lead. Be more dominant, and be more masculine. The reason that Amy fell so hard for this guy is because he truly led her -- through the ups and the downs, and mostly downs in this case -- he always led her. He was always doing the things that were most important to him, but incorporating her into his life.<br><br>David: What Khiem is really saying is 100% true. Women are attracted to strong, dominant men. Whether this guy was a winner or a loser, he still led her on an emotional journey.<br><br>A lot of men will do that to women, lead them up and down, but it's an adrenaline rush that women get addicted to. Women don't want you to be soft, and they don't want you to be needy. Women want you to lead them somewhere. We'll have to talk about that more deeply in another blog.<br><br>Khiem: The interesting thing is that even though it has been six months, and Amy is trying to meet other guys, she mentioned that all the new guys she's met are highly successful -- they have degrees from high-end schools, or have a great job and make great money --she's still been unable to open her heart to them.<br><br>It was very interesting to me because while obviously she is still in love with her ex-boyfriend, the biggest problem is that she wasn't giving these new guys a chance. She thought that she was by going out with them, but emotionally and mentally she wasn't judging the new guys with a clean slate. She was always comparing the new guys to her ex-boyfriend.<br><br>For girls that have been hurt before and have fallen hard -- if you meet a new guy, look at them with a clean slate! If you don't, you will never see the true positives or negatives that the new guy has to offer. Every person is unique, and as much as you loved your previous boyfriend -- they will never be comparable.<br><br>David: So that's why you really should not start dating again until you've cleaned house. If you have an old guy or woman in the cupboard, rotting away, you need to clean that up. What will happen if you don't is that you'll let a lot of good opportunities pass you by because you're not emotionally ready.<br><br>I never believed in the terminology "dating for substitution." I've found that you don't date to replace, but you start dating again to start a whole new experience.<bio><a href="http://www.davidwygant.com" title="http://www.davidwygant.com" target="_blank">http://www.davidwygant.com</a></bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[One key to helping yourself be a winner is to focus on a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/mindset" rel="tag">mindset</a> that eliminates the element of competition. The problem with focusing on competition and making yourself a winner is that someone then has to lose. However if you focus instead on creating a win-<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/win+situation" rel="tag">win situation</a> then not only will you be a winner then your success will foster the success of others and others' success will help foster your success. <br /><br /> While so much of our society is focused on competition and winning at all costs, this is ultimately a very destructive mindset. A team that works together is always stronger than a group of individuals only out for their individual purposes. If you can apply this principle to every aspect of your life then you can achieve tremendous success. <br /><br /> The truth is that if you set up competition in most areas of your life then you lose even when you win. For example, if you andquot;winandquot; an argument with your spouse what do you gain and what do you lose? Perhaps you scored the most points in the argument or simply wore down your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/significant+other" rel="tag">significant other</a> until they gave in. Now you have your way regarding your weekend plans or whatever was at stake. But what damage has been done to your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/relationship" rel="tag">relationship</a>? How does your spouse feel about you? How will he or she feel as they participate in the activity you won? How much damage will accumulate to your relationship if you win the next argument? And the next? <br /><br /> The same is true about competition in other areas of your life. If you win a competition at work then you may reap benefits in term of recognition and even <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/monetary+rewards" rel="tag">monetary rewards</a>. But if your win comes at the cost of your co-workers then not only will they feel like <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/loser" rel="tag">loser</a>s but they may well resent your success. How well will you work together as a team in the future? What will happen when you need those people to work with you on a project? <br /><br /> So what is the alternative? After all, no one wants to be a loser and the perception is that if you are not a winner then you are a loser. But what if you can create a situation where everyone wins? What if you can eliminate the competition? Remember, your short term win is a long term lose if it damages your relationship with your spouse, child, co-worker, or friend. How do you create a win-win situation? You have to keep your long-term goals in mind for that relationship which may mean that you need to remind yourself and reaffirm to the others involved that you value yourself and the other person (or people involved). You also need the maturity to strike a balance between strength of purpose and empathy. Finally, you need to believe that there is enough success for everyone. You need to be a big enough person to understand that there is more than enough for everyone so it does not cost you to share in the success. Helping or allowing another to succeed will not diminish your success and in fact may well enhance it. <br /><br /> Making the decision to change your mindset from win-lose to win-win is not easy and then following through with that philosophy change can be extremely difficult. Most of us have been conditioned from early childhood to compete in every aspect of our lives. However once you give up that competitive edge and focus on helping everyone win then you will be on a sure path to success in life. <bio>Deanna Mascle shares more Words Of Inspiration and Inspirational Words at <a href="http://wordsofinspirationonline.com" >http://wordsofinspirationonline.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/credit+myths" rel="tag">Credit Myths</a> <br /><br /> Like they say, "Knowledge is power." <br /><br /> Many times people either act on false information or fail to act because they didn't know what could be done to their benefit. <br /><br /> This is the case in many areas of life, but on the top of that list is money. And in the money category, you will find lots of misinformation about credit. <br /><br /> There is so much to talk about on the topic of credit myths that an entire book could be dedicated to it. <br /><br /> Let us start with the granddaddy of all credit myths. <br /><br /> Myth 1: If I <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cosign" rel="tag">cosign</a> a loan for my friend, it has no affect on my credit. <br /><br /> Fact: When you cosign a loan, it's like you took the loan on your own! It may be true that your friend is the first one responsible for the loan, however, if they default, it's completely your problem. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/myth+2" rel="tag">Myth 2</a>: There's nothing I can do about it now. My credit is destroyed forever! <br /><br /> Fact: As long as you work, starting today, to rebuild your credit, you'll eventually get it under control. Rebuilding your credit means: (1) Paying on time; (2) Looking for better credit options; and (3) Learning more about money and credit. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/myth+3" rel="tag">Myth 3</a>: I'm a complete financial <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/loser" rel="tag">loser</a> for getting myself into this mess. <br /><br /> Fact: It may be true that you're responsible for getting into debt, but that doesn't make you a loser. In fact, it may not be your fault at all. As long as you start working on becoming more knowledgeable when it comes to finances, you will ultimately find success in controlling your debt. <br /><br /> Myth 4: It's fine to give out my credit card number for identification as long as I don't authorize a charge. <br /><br /> Fact: NEVER give out your information as a form of identification. When it comes to giving out any personal information, be sure you know exactly with whom you're speaking. This is especially true with someone on the phone. <br /><br /> Myth 5: If I get in debt too deep, I can just file for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/bankruptcy+protection" rel="tag">bankruptcy protection</a>. <br /><br /> Fact: The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/bankruptcy+laws" rel="tag">bankruptcy laws</a> are changing to make it more difficult to eliminate all your debt in a bankruptcy, so you may end up paying much of it back anyway. <br /><br /> It will also be on your credit report for 10 years! Hey, if you have NO OTHER OPTIONS, then you should certainly investigate bankruptcy. However, it's much better to settle the debts if you can <br /><br /> Credit card companies want you to be in debt because it maximizes their profits. Credit is much more than a piece of plastic, and the resources in this booklet can help you become a more informed consumer. <br /><br /> Creditors report at all different times of the month, therefore your score can change whenever your credit report changes. <br /><br /> In order to understand why many credit myths aren't true, it's important to understand exactly what credit is in the first place. <br /><br /> Learn More Credit Myths and Facts If you get offers in the mail does this mean you afford more credit. <bio>The Author Leonel Avalos has <a href="http://getcreditsavy.com" >http://getcreditsavy.com</a> a firm devoted to informational Websites, including <a href="http://credit-repair-ez.blogspot.com" >http://credit-repair-ez.blogspot.com</a> Where you can find up to date free Credit related material. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ Forex trading sounds attractive but does anyone make any money from trading foreign exchange? <br /><br /> At first sight, there ought to be a winner and a loser in each currency deal. But that's misleading - if I was selling you dollars and you were buying dollars from me, then there would be a clear winner and loser. If I chose to sell you $100 for the "bargain" price of $110 and you were to take me up on the deal, I'd gain $10 from the exchange. <br /><br /> But Forex trading isn't that straightforward. <br /><br /> The quick answer is that, yes, it is possible to make money from trading currencies. You simply have to buy at a better rate than you are selling at. Currencies move all over the place, 24 hours a day. Look at any chart and you will see this in action. <br /><br /> All you need to do is "catch the waves" correctly! <br /><br /> Hmm. Don't these articles always make it out to be easy when it's nothing of the sort - the same as <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/television+chefs" rel="tag">television chefs</a> always cook perfect meals yet when you follow their <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/exact+instructions" rel="tag">exact instructions</a>, your food looks nothing like theirs. <br /><br /> Undoubtedly, some people make a lot of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/money+trading" rel="tag">money trading</a> currencies. Adding 50% to your "bank" each month is by no means unheard of. <br /><br /> You need a system to follow. And an account that will prevent you from making <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/enormous+losses" rel="tag">enormous losses</a> if there's an <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/unexpected+movement" rel="tag">unexpected movement</a> in the wrong direction. <br /><br /> Read a good book or two. Maybe get hold of a course - there are plenty to choose from online. Some brokers will even give you a free Forex tutorial when you open an account. After all, it's in their interest that you use their services and you won't continue to do that if you lose <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/money+every+time" rel="tag">money every time</a> you make a trade. <br /><br /> Then start small. <br /><br /> It's no good using the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/demo+accounts" rel="tag">demo accounts</a> that are available. Don't fool yourself, you won't make the same decisions when there's no money at stake. Watch any quiz show and see how many gambles you take at home that you wouldn't take if you were sitting in the hotseat. <br /><br /> So put aside some money you can afford to lose. If you're thinking about putting in next month's mortgage payment, stop right now. <br /><br /> Become unattached to the cash. It is now your trading account, not those dollars that were in your wallet or bank account. <br /><br /> Then take calm, collected decisions. <br /><br /> Set software up so that if a trade goes the "wrong" way, the software coolly and calmly ends the trade. <br /><br /> Set the software up so that if a trade goes the "right" way, it also ends the trade when you've reached a profit target. <br /><br /> Not getting greedy is probably one of the key secrets to making money with Forex trading. It's far better to get out while the going is good than to hold on, only to see the profit you would have made disappear into thin air. <br /><br /> Good luck with your Forex currency trading and remember to stay within your comfort zone when you are playing the foreign exchange markets. <bio>Learn more about Forex currency trading at <a href="http://www.squidoo.com/forex-currency_trading" >http://www.squidoo.com/forex-currency_trading</a> and find out where to sign up for the best deals at Online Forex Currency Trading For Beginners, <a href="http://www.squidoo.com/forex-currency_trading" >http://www.squidoo.com/forex-currency_trading</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ I'm being silly, but indulge me here as I veer off into the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/realm+of+fantasy" rel="tag">realm of fantasy</a>. Not *that* kind of fantasy, but the world from a Martian's perspective. <br /><br /> Say we're <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/explorers" rel="tag">explorers</a> from Mars sent to Washington D.C., in human form, in the year 2007. <br /><br /> What would be our conclusions about American politics were we to come down fresh, understanding very little of the political system? <br /><br /> We would understand immediately that there are purported to be 'two sides' (the validity of which is up for debate), and the two sides are represented by colors and animals--red or blue, elephant or donkey. <br /><br /> There are also a few <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/fringe" rel="tag">fringe</a> sects, marginalized by the craziness of their philosophies, who angrily disagree with both the reds and the blues. <br /><br /> So these are the two realistic options. Third or fourth candidates are not allowed to compete, really. They have "no chance of winning" or there's the fear that the third party will take votes away from "real" candidates. <br /><br /> So the red and the blue appear to really dislike each other, but they're two sides of the same coin, always in line to keep out the fringe and so they have some common interests. <br /><br /> Then things start to get good. . . <br /><br /> They have an even bigger common enemy: the media. The media supposedly reports the activities of both sides so they make more money from advertisers. <br /><br /> 'The Media' claims to be unbiased, but it isn't true. They are loyal to whomever is in power and whomever owns the media outlet. <br /><br /> What's even more exciting for us explorers to discover is that there are even more enemies these two sides have. <br /><br /> Prostitutes. Most recently Louisiana Senator David Vitters who gives an awful lot of lip service to abstinence only sex ed, was identified by the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/dc+madam" rel="tag">DC madam</a> and the Canal Street Madam as being a client. <br /><br /> Under aged boys. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/uh+oh" rel="tag">Uh oh</a>. US <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/representative+mark+foley" rel="tag">Representative Mark Foley</a>, crusader against child abuse and exploitation, became child abuser and exploiter when it came to light that he had a bit of a taste for Congressional pages. <br /><br /> Women. Specifically <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wanton+women" rel="tag">wanton women</a>. There was this one time, the woman was wearing a blue dress. He liked cigars. . . . At least Bill Clinton had the sense to make sure the woman was over the age of consent. <br /><br /> Other noteworthy enemies include. . . <br /><br /> Closeted homosexuality. This has turned out to plague a number of people lately. There's Larry Craig and the foot tapping incident ("misunderstanding"). And Democratic Governor of New Jersey Jim McGreevey. At least he's no longer in the closet. <br /><br /> Extramarital affairs. The list is too long. And really, is this even an issue people care about anymore? <br /><br /> Women who don't want to be groped. (CA Gov. Terminator). <br /><br /> There are plenty of other enemies. Crack cocaine (Marion Barry), voter fraud, blah, blah, blah. Actually, voter fraud is only a problem for the big loser, not the fake winner. <br /><br /> Blue, red, elephant, donkey, they seem to want to make all the laws and then break them. <br /><br /> In our research as Martian anthropologists, we'd have to conclude that some form of perversion or criminal record is mandatory for political candidates. <br /><br /> We'd also have to conclude that the non-politicians, the ones who vote (or don't vote), have such a short attention span that really, it doesn't much matter. It's football season and there's a new season of "The Biggest Loser" and it's back to school time and the kids need new backpacks. And before you know it, it's the holidays again. <br /><br /> Jumping into this little fantasy world sometimes gives us a fresh perspective. It's all about framing. Putting a new lens on life. <br /><br /> Try it with your life and your persuasion. See how it goes. Tell others about it, tell me about it on this blog. Create a discussion, invite your friends and colleagues to join the discussion here. Lord knows we need to step back from the craziness every once in a while and talk to each other intelligently about what we observe. <bio>Kenrick Cleveland teaches techniques to earn the business of affluent clients using persuasion. <content:encoded><![CDATA[Although the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/securities+and+exchange+commission" rel="tag">Securities and Exchange Commission</a> professes that day trading is a very risking business to involve in, it can not stop people from doing what is good especially in terms of profit. <br /><br /> There is so much to remember and to take for consideration for one to successfully trade in day trading. Scroll down for some points to be considered before you involve in day trading. <br /><br /> You begin by asking yourself how much money I need to start trading. This is the very basic question one must ask before entering into any business. Your capital will determine how far your business will go. In some versions the questions goes like this; how much capital do I have and willing to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stake" rel="tag">stake</a>? The last question is more direct and somewhat personal but satisfies reality. Do not push too hard on something that is more than you can <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/bear" rel="tag">bear</a>. <br /><br /> In day trading at least $10,000 capital is just enough to start trading. You can also start higher than $10,000 and it is absolutely on your own preference. However, bear in mind that having a little capital would mean less profit and also less loses if in case the trade turned out bad, same thing, having bigger capital would mean more profit and the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/sad+part" rel="tag">sad part</a> you may also lose big amounts. <br /><br /> In general, no exact ceiling for the amount of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/capital+one" rel="tag">capital one</a> needs to start. It will always depend on the person going into business, his objectives and preferences. <br /><br /> Next thing you must do is to put things in order. Secure your capital before making any investments. By securing your capital you will lessen or even eliminate the chance of losing. You can do this buy analyzing very carefully the movements of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/stock" rel="tag">stock</a> and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/betting" rel="tag">betting</a> confidently on the gaining stocks. Do not rush on buying without thinking and analyzing the pros and cons of the stock are to buy. Always make sure that your bucket will not run out of dollars. <br /><br /> Knowing your limits is one of the most effective ways in preserving your capital while consistently gaining. You have to evaluate yourself from time to time as to where have gone so far. Do not think that you are a good trader and that does not make you a loser. The control of he stocks is not in just depending on your movements but also the movements of other traders and the stock itself. So no matter how hard you try when the flow does not go with you, you can not claim you're the best trader. <br /><br /> You also need confidence in trading your stocks. Buying or selling stocks with doubts is not a good sign for a good trade. No matter what will happen, always show confidence in your trading disregarding the hearsays or whatever disturbances you may encounter. Confidence also talks about your firmness in decision making. When you decide to sell or buy something, put confidence in it by showing a positive attitude toward the decision you have made. <br /><br /> Make a plan before going in into the flow. The entrance and exit plans are very important so you may not end up loser. By doing so, you can easily tell whether you are losing or gaining. If your losing, with plans you can easily exit compromising only little of your capital and when you are gaining you can continue to win until the deal closes. <br /><br /> In day trading, though risky, your rise and fall mainly depends on you. Like any other stocks trading, day trading requires same perspective and attitude to successfully gain profits. By any means, perseverance and good trading attitude the best capital you must not lose. <bio>Burt Cotton <a href="http://www.online-currency-trading-net" >http://www.online-currency-trading-net</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[This past week I ran into a friend of mine who I hadn't seen in quite some time. It was good to see him again, at least for a few minutes. <br /><br /> Then I remembered why I stopped associating with him in the first place. <br /><br /> The guy has a big heart, and you can't help but love him. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/unfortunately" rel="tag">Unfortunately</a>, he is also an incessant whiner. <br /><br /> He is always going on about how he doesn't make enough money with his <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/job" rel="tag">job</a>, and how things never seem to go right for him in life. No matter what you say to him there is no shaking his <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/loser" rel="tag">loser</a> mantality. He has chosen to be the victim in life, and to be quite honest I think he enjoys it. <br /><br /> But it doesn't stop there. It's not enough for him to mope and complain about his own life, he does his best to bring the people around him down as well. <br /><br /> He asked me how my 'little internet business' was going. Remember it's been a long time since we had spoken last. <br /><br /> I certainly didn't want to rub anything in here, so I just told him politely that things were moving along and that I had quit my job as a delivery driver last year. <br /><br /> I could see the irritation in his face. This guy was <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/genuinely" rel="tag">genuinely</a> distraught over my <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/success" rel="tag">success</a>. <br /><br /> He gave a grunt and said "Well good <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/luck" rel="tag">luck</a>." <br /><br /> But he didn't really mean 'Good luck'. What he meant was 'I hope you fall flat on your face and have to go back to your old job so I can feel better about who I am'. <br /><br /> He's a loser because he projects nothing but negative energy into his own life, and he wants everyone around him fail and be miserable alongside him. No thanks. <br /><br /> I spent just a couple more minutes chatting with him, then told him I had to run. <br /><br /> I really do wish him the best, but I'm certainly not going to spend my precious time letting him sap the life out of me with his pity party no-hoper mentaility. There are plenty of positive, success-<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/minded+people" rel="tag">minded people</a> for me to hang out with and that's where I prefer to spend my time. <br /><br /> There is a lesson to all this, and here it is. <br /><br /> Think of the most successful person you know. For our purposes today, let's define success as financial and emotional prosperity. This should be someone you know on a personal level, and not a character you've read about in your favorite business or glamour magazine. <br /><br /> Now, ask yourself who this highly productive individual associates with. Chances are the group of folks you identify with this question won't be a bunch of lazy, negative, self-pity freaks. <br /><br /> Now try the same excercise with the least successful individual you know. It's not too likely that your selection for "least successful" is a person who surrounds themselves with positive, productive human beings. <br /><br /> The kind of people we surround ourselves with will have a profound effect on our thought patterns. Since it's safe to say our reality starts with our thoughts, the value of our personal associations can hardly be overstated. <br /><br /> To spend the majority of our time around people who offer us doubt and discouragement is to limit ourselves to a bleak shadow of our full potential. Alternatively, by mingling with those who project confidence and optimism, we are sure to absorb an attitude of determination and tenacity. It's good practice to socialize with individuals who reflect our aspirations. <br /><br /> People who want to whine and complain about how unfair life is, and how they just can't seem to 'get a break' are bad company. Especially when these people want to project their misery and negativity onto you. <br /><br /> One of the best things you can do for your own success and happiness is give these losers the boot and find some happier, more productive people to associate with. <bio>Tim Whiston is a full-time entrepreneur and internet marketer.
