Are you one of the million of Britons famous the world over for being a pet owner and lover? If so, do you have pet insurance? If not, you may well want to read on if you want to save yourself millions of pounds....

Let's look at two, not uncommon, scenarios that may happen to a pet owner in the UK:

Scenario 1: You own a dog. The dog is out in the garden. The post comes to the house to deliver a letter. In the course of delivering the letter your dog bites the postman.

Scenario 2: You own a horse. The horse is grazing in the field. The horse is startled, jumps the hedge and crashes into an oncoming car.

Do you know what would happen in both of these scenarios? Well, if you don't already know, as you may recall from the recent famous case involving Princess Anne, in Scenario 1 you could be liable to pay damages under the Dangerous Dogs Act. Less well known, in Scenario 2 you could be liable to pay damages under a recent House of Lords interpretation to the Animal Act 1971. Either way, you're paying.

How can you limit the liability you'll suffer if either of these unfortunate events where to occur? Without some form of pet insurance policy you could not. As such, if you have a pet and want to save yourself from the prospect of having to pay out a potentially large amount of money in compensation damages to a third party -- now is the time that you should be considering getting pet insurance.

Although pet insurance is unlikely to cover you for the full costs you that you may need to pay to both defend your self against a claim and also pay compensation if you lose, as there is likely to be a minimum excess payment and maximum cap payment, for a reasonable annual premium payment you can arrange to have cover that would pay a large portion of this amount.

At the end of the day, however, having pet insurance is like having any other type if insurance. Would you go out n the roads and drive your car without insuring yourself against an accident? Would you leave all your valuables at home without having any home contents insurance? Do you want to take the chance that you could be used for million in personal injury compensation without having paid a minimal amount in pet insurance? <bio>Joe Kenny writes for the personal finance information sites http://www.cardguide.co.uk and also http://www.ukpersonalloanstore.co.uk </bio>

Nobody likes to consider the ramifications of a worst case scenario, least of all the financial consequence. However, did you know that if a major storm (of the likes we experienced in the UK in the late 1980s) struck the UK today, almost one-half of all homes in the UK would have inadequate home buildings insurance to cover the cost of repairs!

Valuation of your home buildings insurance -- is it being done correctly?

Before you consider the value of your home, ask yourself a quick couple of questions:

- what is the principal reason why you have home buildings insurance? - who assess the value of your home buildings insurance?

In most cases, the answer to the first question is you need to have home buildings insurance because it is a requirement under your mortgage agreement. The answer to your second question is also likely to be your home mortgage provider, because they feel they know the value of your home better than you do. So, what's the problem? Well, the problem is, each year your home mortgage is going down, but hopefully the value of your home is going up. As your insurance is principally to cover your outstanding mortgage, a disparity - between the value of your home and the outstanding mortgage amount - will rapidly arise. Therefore, it is vital that you keep control of valuing your home for home buildings insurance purposes and always ensure that the insurance relates to the actual value of your home, not the outstanding mortgage amount.

Improvements to your home -- are they being included?

Likely as not, over time you are going to do some building work to your home. Maybe you'll add an extension. Put in a greenhouse. Add a conservatory. Etc. The question is -- are all of these add-ons being included in the additional value they bring to your home, or are you only continuing to insure the main part of the home that was part of the original policy?

Increased costs -- have you factored these in?

Nearly every insurance policy comes with an excess amount. Essentially what this means is that you have to pay a threshold amount before you can claim against the insurance company. Fine, let's take an example: say you bought your home in 1980 and set the threshold amount at £500. Would you get more or less in materials and labour today if you were still maintaining an excess sum of £500? Answer, far less and you'd be claiming on your insurance far sooner, which in turn means your premiums are likely to be higher.

As you can see then, home buildings insurance is not as simple as guessing what you think the value of your home is. It takes certain precision and year-on-year upkeep if you want to make sure you'll be sufficiently insured should the unfortunate worst case scenario occur. <bio>Joe Kenny writes for the UK personal finance sites http://www.ukpersonalloanstore.co.uk and also http://www.cardguide.co.uk </bio>

In poetic literature you will often find a poem that seems to be inviting the reader to participate in an adventure or a love story. The use of 'you' is evident in the poetry, but in most cases the reader understands that the poem is written to a third party and the author is simply allowing you the opportunity to read these moments of intimate conversation.

Possessives in poetry, marked by an apostrophe, are a way to understand that the poem is written for and to another person -- even when written from a first person perspective.

There is, however, a unique form of writing called Authorial Intrusion that will find the author breaking away from the storyline and speaking directly to the reader. This technique is sometimes used to take a work of fiction and make it seem somehow real. This is accomplished when the storyteller breaks from the action to talk directly with you.

Authorial Intrusion can also be used in poetry and is used extensively in persuasive essays. In fact, in essays Authorial Intrusion is often used as a means of allowing a personal voice of persuasion to assist in the point being argued.

You can see the use of Authorial Intrusions in old detective movies where they step out of the shadows and talk to the audience about what they are thinking. This particular adaptation has been used for comic effect in recent years as it has been used extensively in film parodies.

As film and fiction writing have matured the use of Authorial Intrusion has diminished. Sometimes Authorial Intrusions make a work seem amateurish simply because the audience is informed of an impending scenario just before the scenario plays out. It can come across as redundant and unnecessary.

Here's a short example of Authorial Intrusion...

"Ben had assumed there was nothing to fear on the plateau, but he didn't see the grizzly bear approaching from behind."

This particular example really isn't needed in the context of the story. If the story is indeed Ben's then allow the reader to experience the emotions Ben has when he makes the surprising discovery.

In the case of fiction writing Authorial Intrusions should be minimal in a worst-case scenario and eliminated altogether in a perfect world. When you choose a Point of View in which to tell the story it is best to allow that voice to remain as consistent as possible throughout the narrative. <bio>Scott Lindsay is a web developer and entrepreneur.
"Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear-not absence of fear."--Mark Twain

I found an interesting thing when I looked up courage in the dictionary. .. 'the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc. without fear or bravery.'

This struck me as interesting because it's the one time I'm not sure I would agree with the dictionary. To me, courage is doing something in spite of fear, not with an absence of fear. Bravery, for example is a way of acting in our lives in a way in such that we are doing what needs to be done even if we have fear.

Brave people don't lack fear, they act in spite of fear. I would define courage, then, as doing what needs to be done in spite of fear. That's absolute courage. And for it to be a courageous act, it seems like there has to be an element of fear involved. If it didn't have that element, why would we need to act courageously? If it didn't require great resolve, if it were common place, we wouldn't need to be brave.

Think about a time when you should have taken action but didn't and remember what it was that prevented you from acting. Why didn't you move forward? Really think about this for a moment.

Now think of another time when you needed to act but didn't. Or when you didn't act as completely as you should have. And remember why you didn't take action that time.

Now consider the similarities between these two events. You are going to find upon consideration that there is one common denominator, at least one, and maybe more, and that commonality is that there was probably some kind of fear associated with the incident.

Now here's the big question: what would have happened if you had gone ahead and acted despite your fear? Think through the two events again and ask yourself what would have happened. What is the absolute worst thing that could have happened had things not turned out the way you had wanted?

Go back to the first event and whatever this event was, and in this instance you chose not to act or not to act fully.

Is it possibly you might have succeeded if you had acted? How bad could your 'worst case scenario' outcome have really been? Would you have been fired? Would you have been told 'no'? Would someone have cursed at you?

My next question. . . could you have lived with that outcome? I'd wager that your answer is yes. You could have absolutely lived with that worst case scenario.

Oscar Wilde once said, "One's real life is often the life that one does not lead." What is the real life that you're not living because of a lack of courage? Conversely, in what ways have you acted despite your fear that have changed your life for the better? <bio>Kenrick Cleveland teaches techniques to earn the business of affluent clients using persuasion.
Now ev'ry gambler knows that the secret to survivin' Is knowin' what to throw away and knowing what to keep.

Many times these words of Kenny Rogers describing "The Gambler" come to mind when working with clients who just can't find enough time to tackle all the items on their lists. Consider that your "deck", or time allotment, never changes. It comes with 24 hours. To Do lists can become lengthy and overwhelming, and with the long list comes guilt at not getting it done. People gamble on having enough time to do everything, but reality is that, within those 24 hours, it isn't possible.

What helps to separate the winners from the losers is the ability to prioritize their work, accomplishing the "important" tasks that need to be done.. The important tasks, those aces to keep, are the ones that make a difference in the growth of your company or in moving you closer to your personal goals. Consider the following two scenarios.

Scenario One: You walk into your office in the morning to a cleared desk. You prioritized today's work the night before, so when you sit down at your desk, you already know what your first chore is. Closing your door for an hour and a half and/or limiting interruptions, you work out all the details on the biggest project. By 11 a.m., it's wrapped up and ready to deliver. Then you settle down and work on the other scheduled items for the day, in order of priority. When it's time to go home, you know you had a productive day. You leave feeling accomplished.

Scenario Two: You walk into your office in the morning and look at all the stacks of papers around you, along with an overflowing inbox. Trying to decide what it is that you really need to do today, you have to look through the stacks to see what has become so urgent that it can no longer be put off. Before you begin, you check your email in case there's something important. After 45 minutes of skimming through accumulated email to decide which ones can be postponed, you take a break. Taking fifteen minutes for a couple of social conversations on the way from the coffee station, you are back at your desk. It's time to decide what to do. The piles are looming, so you choose several smaller items that don't take too much effort to get done. At the end of the day, someone asks for your work on the project that is due tomorrow, and you start to panic. How can you get all of that done by the deadline? You are now facing another late night of work, loss of sleep, and stress at the pressure.

So what can you do to change from Scenario Two to Scenario One? ....'cause ev'ry hand's a winner and ev'ry hand's a loser....

1. List all tasks, using one sheet of paper for each task.

2. Decide which ones you can eliminate.

- What are the consequences of doing this? - What are the consequences of not doing this? - Why do it now?

3. Stack the remaining ones in order of priority.

4. Put that stack in your desk drawer in a hanging file.

5. When you come into the office in the morning, take out the first item only.

6. Focus on getting that one job done before moving on to the next.

If you're gonna play the game...ya gotta learn to play it right. You got to know when to hold 'em (do now), know when to fold `em (do later) Know when to walk away(delegate) and know when to run (discard). <bio>Denise Landers is the owner of Key Organization Systems (http://www.keyorganization.com).
Surprisingly enough, even in today's age of video games and "instant gratification" entertainment, board games are still wildly popular. And many would suggest that chess reigns supreme as one of the world's most popular board games, both in the U.S. and around the world.

Because of that, chess sets, chess pieces and related items still continue to be popular gifts. If you're in the market for a complete chess set, including both the pieces and a matching board, you'll find many suppliers online that provide you with chess set combinations that are already properly matched. But if you need a new chess board to go with an existing set of pieces, or you're looking for a set of pieces to play on an existing chess board, then it helps to know how to choose the right size product before you make your purchase.

Scenario #1: You Already Have Chess Pieces and Need a Chess Board to Match

As you shop around for chess boards online, you'll notice that most websites list the dimensions of the entire board as well as the size of the squares that the pieces sit on. The size of the board is somewhat important, but more from a standpoint of where you'll be placing the board (e.g., on a coffee table, in an office, etc). The more important factor for choosing the right board to match with your chess pieces is the size of the squares. First, you'll need to know the size of the base of the king. Then take that number and multiply it by 4/3 (or 1.33). That will tell you the MINIMUM sized squares you should look for when picking out your new chess board. Okay, at the risk of doing math in public, a quick example:

- Base of the King: 1.5"

- Minimum square size: 1.5" x 1.33 = 1.995"

In this example, a board with 2-inch squares or larger would be just fine. However, you don't want to go smaller since you run the risk of the pieces being too close together on the board, making them hard to move without bumping against each other. In addition, a board with squares that are way too large would just look out of proportion.

Scenario #2: You Already Have a Chess Board and Need Chess Pieces to Match

Of course, the other option is that you already have a chess board and simply need to find the right chess pieces to match. In this case, the procedure is just the opposite as above. You will need to know the size of the squares on your board. Then, simply take that number and multiply it by 3/4 (or 0.75). That will tell you the LARGEST measurement you would want in terms of the base of the king. Again, a quick example:

- Size of the squares on your board: 2.5"

- Maximum size of the base of the king: 2.5" x 0.75 = 1.875"

In this case, pieces with a base of 1.75" or even 1.5" would be appropriate, but obviously that great looking set of pieces with the 2-inch base might be pushing it a bit.

By following those simple tips, you'll see that finding the right size chess pieces or chess board is quick and easy. And wouldn't your math teacher be proud? <bio>Looking for a new chess board, chess pieces or chess set?
Whether it is your first time breeding, or you have had many foals at your farm one of the most exciting things is not knowing exactly what you will get when the baby arrives. There are so many variables that it is impossible to predict how big your foal will be, whether it will have good conformation or whether it will have the potential for the discipline you bred it for. One question that always has owners guessing is what color the foal will be.

Interestingly enough, you can actually predict the likelihood of the foal turning out a specific color. While color prediction is not always 100% accurate, there are some color combinations that will give you a guaranteed outcome. How can we be so sure of this? It's all in the genes.

Horses have two basic color genes; black (B) and red (b). All horses carry a combination of these two genes in a pair. The red gene is recessive to the black gene. This means that whenever you get a combination of black (B) and red (b) genes the black gene will express itself. So, a (BB) gene combination will result in a black horse; a (Bb) combination will also result in a black horse and a (bb) combination will result in a red horse.

If that is the case you may wonder why we don't only have black and red horses. In addition to the base color genes there are special genes that modify color. If one of these genes are present it will cause the base color to be modified and the horse will turn out "a different color".

The most common modifier is the Agouti gene. When the Agouti gene is present it modifies the black gene. A black horse with the Agouti modifier will fade leaving its points black and its body brown. This is of course the classic bay horse.

Other modifiers include the grey gene, the roan gene and the cream gene. Each of these genes causes the horse's coat to change according to the instructions written into the DNA code. Because this complicates matters for now lets stick with the basic black (bay) and red genes. To simplify things for now I will use the term "black" to include bay horses. We will discuss the Agouti gene further in the next installment.

So how can you apply this to actual breeding? Let's start with a simple scenario. You have a chestnut stallion (bb) and you breed it to a chestnut mare (bb). In this case both the stallion and the mare have two red genes. No matter which way you mix and match those genes the resulting foal will also have two red genes (bb). The resulting foal from this breeding will always be a chestnut.

(b)	(b)
(b)	(bb)
red	(bb)
red
(b)	(bb)
red	(bb)
red

To make things a little more complicated we will now breed a black mare (BB) to a chestnut stallion (bb). Because both the mare and the stallion must contribute one gene the resulting foal will be (Bb) carrying one black and one red gene. The foal will be black in color but will have a recessive red gene.

Now let's pretend that we breed the foal from the first scenario (bb) to the foal from the second scenario (Bb). Use the following diagram to see how the genes relate:

(b)	(b)
(B)	(Bb)
black	(Bb)
black
(b)	(bb)
red	(bb)
red

As you can see from the diagram there are two color possibilities in this cross. When the foal receives both a red gene (b) from one side and a black gene (B) from the other, the foal will be born black (Bb). This means that you have a 50/50 chance of the foal being a chestnut or a black.

If you cross a homozygous (meaning that it has two copies of the B gene) black horse (BB) with a heterozygous (meaning that it has one copy of the B gene and one of the b gene) black horse as you might expect there would only be one possible color for the foal, black. This is because all of the color combinations would include at least one dominant black (B) gene.

(B)	(B)
(B)	(BB)
black	(BB)
black
(b)	(bB)
black	(bB)
black

Of course this leaves one more combination, the (Bb) x (Bb) combination. In this case both the mare and stallion carry a recessive red gene but are black in color. While at a glance you might expect all the foals from this breeding to be born black this is where you get the odd surprise foal that is a bright chestnut. In fact 25% of all foals from this cross will be chestnut in color. That is because of the possibility of the foal getting a pair of red genes, one from each parent.

(B)	(b)
(B)	(BB)
black	(Bb)
black
(b)	(bB)
black	(bb)
red

So now you can see where the basics of color genetics come into play when breeding horses. You now know that you will always get a chestnut foal when you breed two chestnut horses together. You also know that when you breed two blacks together you just might get the odd chestnut foal that crops up.

While color is far from the most important thing to consider when breeding, it is certainly one of the most predictable. With the advances in genetic research we are always finding more color specific genes and can predict color variations with increasing accuracy.<bio>Lydia K Kelly is a writer for HorseClicks, classifieds of thoroughbred horses sale, used trailers for sale, used saddles for sale, and she is a featured author at www.ArticleKing.com</bio>

An engagement agreement is a written agreement in which two parties contract for the provision of goods and/or services. One party provides the good or service, the other party receives and pays for it. Exactly who, what, when, where, and why are all matters left to the parties. Not to sound too nebulous, there are in fact guidelines and even rules. But the engagement agreement is very much a creature of the parties' design.

One can be excused for believing that an engagement agreement is basically an employment agreement. Indeed, in certain circumstances, there are virtually no differences between the two types of contracts. For example, if a company signs an engagement agreement with an individual-say, General Motors engages Ms. Jones to be its Vice President in charge of marketing-then this arrangement is pretty much identical to GM having hired Ms. Jones by way of an employment agreement. In both scenarios and in both documents, Ms. Jones works for GM, is compensated by GM, and likely receives a number of the same benefits-stock, options, healthcare coverage, severance compensation, even relocation expenses perhaps. Further, both agreements will carry a term of employment, provisions for termination by the parties, and non-competition and/or non-solicitation clauses. What is more, in both cases, Ms. Jones will probably be authorized to sign documents on behalf of GM, binding it. Ms. Jones is thus not an independent contractor but rather, an employee, with all the benefits and all the liabilities attendant to that position. Thus, in this scenario of Ms. Jones working for GM, there is nothing to separate engagement agreements-as a category, bear in mind-from employment agreements.

Let us take another scenario, however-one that shows engagement agreements in a different, perhaps more familiar light. In this scenario, GM signs an agreement with Ernst and Young for the latter to provide accounting services to the former. In this case, Ernst and Young works for GM but in the capacity of an independent contractor. Ernst and Young receives compensation from GM for its services (and probably gets reimbursed for its expenses, too), but the employees of Ernst and Young do not receive the same benefits-healthcare, 401K, severance, and so forth-from GM as do the regular GM employees, like Ms. Jones. Moreover, while Ernst and Young may have the capacity to act on behalf of GM, as its agent, it also may not. GM would have to grant this right to Ernst and Young-the mere fact of engagement by GM does not convey this right. At the same time, the engagement agreements for Ms. Jones and for Ernst and Young probably both discuss term, termination of the agreement, and non-competition, among a number of boilerplate provisions.

In the latter scenario with Ernst and Young, perhaps the definitive characteristic is the independent contractor status of the party being engaged. Typically, such party is being asked to perform a service that a normal employee cannot and would not to that level. This service could be nearly anything, from legal and accounting services to artistic and entertainment ones.

As was previously mentioned, engagement agreements are highly adaptable to the parties' wishes. Whereas an engagement agreement to hire a law firm would talk about malpractice, client's funds, billing, and confidentiality, among other matters, an engagement agreement to hire a carpenter would talk about craftsmanship, timeliness of services, installation of the finished product, and so forth.<bio>Mark Warner is an Engagement Agreement Analyst for RealDealDocs.com.
Personal injury law is an area of law that aims to protect citizens against the negligence of others. Covering a wide range of claim subjects--from whiplash to medical negligence, personal injury law guides people through the process of claiming financial compensation for injuries received through the actions or neglect of other people. Once an expensive exercise for those wishing to pursue such claims, personal injury law in the UK now operates on a 'no win no fee' basis, making it accessible to anyone eligible to claim compensation for personal injury.

Until the late 1990s, anyone who wanted to make a claim relating to personal injury law in the UK either had to pay expensive legal fees or seek help through the means-tested Legal Aid (now Public Funding) system. The funding of Legal Aid, in turn, proved expensive for the government. With the advent of the Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA) in 1998 the law changed, allowing for claims on a 'no win no fee' basis. Under personal injury law in England and Wales, anyone eligible to claim compensation need no longer be deterred by the fear of legal fees associated with the claim. Scotland's law differs although the 'no win no fee' concept is also practised there to some extent.

In order for you to make a personal injury law claim for damages on a 'no win no fee' basis in the UK, both you and your solicitor will be required to agree to the terms of the CFA. Most solicitors use a standard document produced by the Law Society of England and Wales which confirms that, if the case is lost, the solicitor will not charge the claimant with any costs. There may be bills such as witness charges and medical fees, but insurance cover is available for this and should be discussed with your solicitor. As the claimant, you will be required by the agreement to co-operate with your solicitor and to provide clear instructions in relation to your personal injury law claim.

Taking the best case scenario first, if your claim proceeds to a straightforward settlement in your favour, the other party's insurer will pay your legal fees. If you have paid any fees during the case, such as witness fees, these will be reimbursed. Most personal injury law firms will ensure that you receive your compensation in full, without a percentage being deducted for fees. If you are told some of the compensation you receive will be deducted, you may like to consider discussing options with other personal injury law firms before making a commitment.

If your claim does not succeed, you still do not have to pay legal costs. Personal injury law ensures that these costs are met by insurance. There may be disbursements such as witness fees and, in the worst case scenario, defence costs if your case is lost at trial, but your solicitor can help you to insure yourself against such possibilities before your claim gets under way.

With the no win no fee agreement, therefore, personal injury law ensures that people who have suffered injury through no fault of their own are able to seek financial compensation without fear of legal costs. As long as the accident was not your fault you are eligible to claim compensation and should contact a personal injury law firm. Even if you are not sure about the issue of fault it is worth consulting a solicitor or filling in an online claim form for a free assessment of your case. Before making a commitment to pursuing your claim, remember to check that the no win no fee agreement will apply, that you will receive your full 100 percent compensation if you win and that in the event of a loss incurring payment of fees or costs, you will be covered by insurance. <bio>Accident claims for the UK market contact Accident Consult for your no obligation consultation.
What will you do when your customers owe you money? If you've done the work but your clients are slow to pay you - or don't pay you at all! Understandably, this is a very annoying situation. Cashflow is the process of getting the money you are owed in the most optimal amount of time.

1. You Are A Credit Provider

Providing an invoice is an extention of credit. If the cost is going to be high, consider running a credit check before you start the work. This will show if the company or individual you are doing work for is having financial problems and you can decline work that you think is risky.

2. Clearly Print Due Dates On Your Invoices

If your customers need to pay you now - instruct them to do so! Otherwise, customers will recieve the invoice but put it on their pile of other invoices that arent marked as urgent. In some places, the practice of putting due dates on your invoices might even entitle you to charge interest on money you are owed, or charge fees. Check your local laws. A great tip is to highlight the amount due. People will see this and think more highly of taking care of it.

3. Phone Them

People dread collection calls. For this reason alone, phone them! Ask them if they realized the invoice was due yesterday and most of the time action will be the result. Dont ever let them think they can get away with it.

4. Try Debt Factoring

Some businesses have a relationship with a third party, often a bank or credit collection agency. Instead of having your customers pay you, the company will pay you right away. The idea is that the credit collection agency will make money from interest if your clients fail to pay on time. Of course, the downside of this strategy is that you will have no control over how the agency is treating your customers.

5. Collections Agencies

A more extreme version of debt factoring, a collections agency will actually charge you about 10% of the amount you are owed. Through intimidation and court, the agency will work on your behalf, perhaps even seizing the assets of your customer. Always research these agencies to make sure they have a good business history, and even then, only use them for customers that are far beyond the due date of their invoice. Plus, always try to have one last talk with your customer before this step - sometimes people are really quite lazy or forgetful even though they have plenty of money.

6. Worst Case Scenario

In the absolute worst case scenario, you have just done business with a company that is approaching bankruptcy but is not yet legally bankrupt. The money you are owed is a small drop in the lake of debt that this company might be in, and you are at the end of a long line of creditors looking for money. In this situation, you need to be prepared to settle for less than the amount of the origional invoice, or you might risk getting nothing at all. In the end it might be better to give someone a break and get some money than pushing them into legal bankruptcy and getting nothing at all. <bio>For more great cashflow related articles and resources check out http://letsworkathome.info </bio>

Most of us don't wake up in the morning and think that we might be involved in an accident that day =96 that is what makes it an "accident" =96 it was unplanned and unpredicted.

In Arizona, drivers must have automobile insurance in order to lawfully drive a motor vehicle. Many people do not know that the minimal amount of insurance a person must carry is $15,000/$30,000. What this means is that if a driver with minimum limits strikes a vehicle causing an injury to a single person, the total amount of insurance available to that injured person is "$15,000!" What is even worse is that if there is more than one person injured in that same scenario, all the injured people making claims against the negligent driver are limited to a total amount of $30,000.

Those amounts include reimbursement for all medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.

So, if you are seriously injured in an automobile accident and incur medical expenses over $15,000 alone, there is no money available to compensate you for your lost wages, pain and suffering and you will also have to come up with out-of-pocket monies for the additional medical expenses you have incurred over the $15,000.

You can protect yourself against such a scenario by carrying "under-insured motorist coverage" which will compensate you for damages in situations where the negligent driver's limits are not enough.

We suggest that you review your automobile insurance coverage to make sure that you have adequate protection. You may also want to speak with your insurance agent regarding "med-pay coverage," which would help pay for your medical expenses if you are involved in an automobile accident.

Other tips to remember in case you are in an accident are:

Makes sure that a police report is taken Get names and phone numbers of all witnesses Take photographs of the vehicle damage If injured =96 seek immediate medical treatment

At Hymson Goldstein and Pantiliat, P.C., we have represented hundreds of injured people over the years and helped them recover for their losses caused by an "unpredicted event."
Whether you exhibit once a year or every week, you may be using display stands. You may also find yourself wondering whether it is wiser to rent your display stands or buy them. The answer may be simple for you, but before you come to your conclusion, read about some of the factors to consider in each scenario so that you can make an informed decsision.

Rent

There are several different situations in which renting display stands just makes more sense than purchasing them. Below are some scenarios where renting display stands may be the right option.

- For example, if you are attending an exhibition internationally, it may be more cost-effective to rent display stands locally than it would be to ship them overseas. In this situation, care must be taken to rent from a reputable source.

- Another situation in which renting display stands is the better choice is when you're trying exhibition as a new marketing technique or are just getting started. In this case, you may not be ready to invest in your own display stands. If this is the situation you find yourself in, you may decide to rent display stands until you're sure the commitment will be worth it.

- You may already own a display stand or even multiple stands. However, a particular event may come up where you have the opportunity to exhibit in two places at once and you may not have enough display stands. In this case, renting one or more display stands can allow you to maximize your exhibitions in a cost-effective manner.

Buy

Other circumstances definitely warrant investing in your own display stands. Even if you begin by renting display stands, you may soon realize that the frequency with which you find yourself renting them makes purchasing your own permanent ones the wiser choice.

- If your business model includes selling mostly at trade-show or exhibition style outlets such as flea markets, swap meets or other such venues, you are probably using display stands very often. In this scenario, it is wise to invest in your own display stands, as the cost will be made up in what you would have otherwise spent in rentals.

- If most of the exhibitions you participate are local and you are able to transport them, or if the cost of shipping them to the exhibitions you exhibit at is reasonable, then buying may be a good option for you.

- If trade show marketing is a large part of your overall marketing plan, then hopefully you will find yourself participating in several trade shows over the course of a year. If trade show marketing is integral to your business, then chances are that you will be participating in trade shows for several years and can definitely benefit from investing in display stands.

The Verdict

Basically, to rent or buy display stands is a matter of circumstance. It all depends on circumstances such as how often you would be using them, how near or far they would be transported, etc. These circumstances would determine whether the investment and commitment of purchasing your own display stands is warranted, or whether renting the display stands is smarter for your purposes.
In the world of traditional business and employment, we face several dilemmas. The first dilemma of traditional business is obviously the start-up capital. The amount of capital usually required is enormous in the brick and mortar world. The second dilemma of traditional business is the rise and fall of profits or the "not knowing" if the business will survive. Traditional brick and mortar requires the ownership to participate in a twenty-four hour endeavor just to keep the business in operation. The third. Dealing with employees. I speak to business owners and one of the biggest challenges they face is dealing with employees. Employees in today's world tend to move around from job to job, therefore for business owners it becomes a continuous, daunting task of hiring.

Being an employee is not without its' woes either. As an employee, we have to contend with a very competitive business world. In this competitive world of business, we have to compete with competitive wages. I do not know anyone personally who is surviving on today's wages without having to work two or more jobs to support themselves. It's a tough world out there, only getting tougher. If we continue down the employee mentality path and not observe more rewarding opportunities out there in the world to benefit our lives, than one thing is for sure. Do not plan on getting ahead if you do not think outside the box.

Now, let's put together a simple scenario. Here you are now reading this article. Think about your situation.

In the game of life, what really matters is where you end up. What does that mean? After all of the hard work, what is going to happen should you live to be old? A reality we all must face. Now, what about the quality of life until our passing?

Here is a simple scenario. Imagine there's a rope in front of you. Now imagine this rope is tied to a hatch above you. When you pull the rope, the hatch opens and something will fall on your head. What falls on your head represents your financial planning decisions. In this case, what falls on your head is either a ton of bricks or a ton of feathers. So, does a ton equal a ton? In weights and measures, yes. But not to the one who pulls the rope. <bio>David Weeks writes articles on marketing, finances, and network marketing.
After having a chance to look past the claims and hype and into the actual ebook itself, I decided to write this The Bad Breath Report review. Hopefully, after reading this brief review, you'll have a better understanding of what the ebook is all about and what it has to offer readers. From there, it's up to you to decide if it's worth the money to purchase.

The subtitle of The Bad Breath Reports is =ECBeat Bad Breath With Household Ingredients!=EE, which I must admit is both catchy and intriguing. I'm sure we've all been in situations where we need to have a conversation, or even get closer in an intimate sense, with someone when we aren't 100 percent sure that our breath is unoffensive. In the worst case scenario, there isn't a toothbrush in sight and you chewed your last piece of gum the day before.

Fortunately, The Bad Breath Report is here to help you in the event that you find yourself in a situation similar to that which I've outlined above. The book gives you all of the tools you need to wipe out bad breath forever, using ingredients found in every house in America.

The Bad Breath Report will let you in on the simple four step plan you can start using immediately to put an end to bad breath forever. Also, it will tell you the one thing that causes nearly all cases of bad breath and what you can do to control it. Quite possibly the coolest thing the book has to offer is the extremely cheap solution that will kill your bad breath in 90 seconds and leave your mouth feeling clean and fresh all day.

In case you can't tell, I'm a huge fan of the Bad Breath Report and suggest it to all of my friends and family. When you can permanently put an end to bad breath forever, why wouldn't you check it out? <bio>To learn more, visit the official The Bad Breath Report website at http://bitsylink.com/?SWVOC today. </bio>

Refinance mortgage is when you apply for a second loan in order to pay off another different loan taken up against the same other assets, property etc. If this original loan had a fixed interest rate mortgage which has now reduced considerably, then you might want to take up a new loan at a more favorable interest rate.

Refinance mortgage is an option when home refinancing is done when you have a mortgage on your home and apply for a loan to pay off the first one. While taking the decision to go for the refinance mortgage option, it is very important to first understand whether the amount you save on interests balances out with the amount of fees payable during refinancing.

There are many benefits of refinance mortgage for e.g., imagine a scenario where you can have some extra money put away, while at the same time your monthly mortgage payment is getting lower and lower. This does look like a dream that can become a reality through mortgage refinancing.

Also a home is the largest asset you may ever own. Similarly, your mortgage payment may turn out to be the largest expense you'll have in your monthly budget. So, it definitely is a great idea to use this asset to reduce your monthly outflow and put extra cash in your bank. When you do refinance mortgage, you can take advantage of the equity in your house and make this thing possible.

Remember, when you bought your dream home, the overall financial scenario dictated interest rates. Also, while certain factors, like the amount of the down payment that you were able to afford and your credit rating, determined your interest rate, the single most very important factor were the ongoing rates at that moment. But then, interest rates fluctuate all the time. Under various circumstances of refinance mortgage, the prevailing rates may also become significantly lower than when you originally purchased your home.

One more big advantage of refinance mortgage is that you can shorten the term of your mortgage. Imagine, for example, that you originally had a 20-year mortgage and have been paying it for 6 years. And now only because of mortgage refinancing, you can change to a much shorter term. This can save you a big amount of interest. Also then, if the refinance mortgage rate is lower, but you are able to maintain the same monthly outflow, you will build up equity in your house very quickly, because more of your outflow will be going towards principal amount.

Another point to notice is that when interest rates are low, adjustable rate mortgages are the housing market's favorites. Therefore, as and when the interest rates increase, and the adjustable rate may not look that good. It's also a big possibility that you selected an ARM because your financial future was a bit insecure, or there was no surety as to how long you'd stay in your house. In that case, however, you've become financially secure and know that you'll be staying in your house for many years; it may be profitable to exchange that fluctuating adjustable rate to a fixed rate. Also, with refinance mortgage you'll have more security with the knowledge that your monthly outflow will remain stable, unaffected by the scenario of the current market environment.

Actually if you really look at it, your home is like a cash cow. But you need to have a lot of discipline and keen knowledge of the profits of refinance mortgage, so that you can utilize its milk for years and years to come.
A recent report published by the Cohen Independent Research Group, called Wall Street's #1 Independent Research Firm, rated Pacific Asia China Energy (TSX: PCE: Other OTC: PCEEF) a Buy. The 68-page research report set three wide-ranging valuation levels as price targets for PCE shares for the company's coalbed methane concessions in China. Considerations such as the wide range of the Guizhou's abundant gas reserves, expected prices of natural gas during the research firm's forecast period, and discounting factors, such as the stock price's high volatility, were included in their price targets.

PCE shares, which closed at C$1.16/share on nearly 131,000 shares trading hands on June 19th, were given long-term fair market pricing of C$1.96/share by Cohen Research. This pricing was under the most pessimistic scenario. The low-case scenario included a natural gas price as low as $275 per 1000 cubic meters, and included a discount rate of 25 percent on the stock price. Cohen also reported, in the report, that at the current market price, PCE is "grossly undervalued."

Cohen Research wrote, "As per our Base Case scenario estimates, the NAV of PACE's resources falls in the range of C$5.31 -- 7.83 per share (with a discounting factor of 20 percent)." Under the most optimistic pricing, assuming natural gas at $375 per 1000 cubic meters, Cohen targeted PCE shares at C$11.56/share. Cohen Research used the Net Asset Value (NAV) based method, which is one of the most accepted methods to value mining companies.

PACE, the acronym for Pacific Asia China Energy and not the stock's ticker symbol (which is PCE, trading on the Toronto Venture Exchange, or TSX), is fortunate that one of its concessions is in the Guizhou province of China. Estimates describe this Chinese province as hosting more than 20 percent of China's coalbed methane (CBM) reserves. The country's total CBM reserves have been independently estimated to exceed 31 trillion cubic feet.

PACE was the first Canadian publicly traded company to participate in China's granting of CBM concessions. PACE is participating in the Baotian-Qingshan CBM project through its wholly owned subsidiary Asia Canada Energy (ACE). China's state-owned CBM company, China United Coalbed Methane (CUCBM), granted the 970-square kilometer CBM concession in September 2005 to ACE. The Baotian-Qingshan concession is located in the CBM-rich Guizhou province.

The Cohen Research NAV levels confirm what we anticipated. Earlier this year, we had reported on the assessment by Sproule International on the Baotian-Qingshan property. On March 1st, PACE had released three scenarios presented in the technical report filed by Sproule. The worst-case scenario on the property showed 504 billion cubic feet for three coal seams. The high case volume scenario for seven coal seams reached as high as 11.2 trillion cubic feet. Sproule's assessment, called the "Most Likely Case volume" estimated 5.2 trillion cubic feet. Some analysts have valued each trillion cubic feet of gas at C$1 billion market capitalization.

This valuation does not include PACE's other CBM concession in China, the Huangshi project, where the company began drilling test wells in mid May. Nor does this include the company's joint venture partnership with Mitchell Drilling Services of Australia for the exclusive use of the drilling company's Dymaxion® system in China. We interviewed Nathan Mitchell, president of the drilling company, who was both optimistic and excited about his company's joint venture with PACE, and looked forward to expanding his drilling operations into China.

Mitchell told us, during that interview, his drilling company's technology made it possible to extract gas for around US$1.25 per mcf. This would help make potentially "uneconomic" gas more economic under a very pessimistic scenario. Revenues from others using the Dymaxion system in China would flow into the coffers of both PACE and Mitchell. Obviously this joint venture is moving forward. On June 8th, PACE announced it had appointed a country manager for the joint venture, writing, "Mr. Pacey will oversee all aspects of the joint venture activities in China as the Joint Venture Company prepares to deploy Mitchell Drilling Contractors Pty Ltd's proprietary Dymaxion Surface to In-seam Drilling System later this year."

Cohen Research did warn of negatives in making a hypothetical Bear Case for PACE's projects. The research team wrote, "Commercial viability has not yet been proven." The report also pointed out that technical studies were insufficient to "accurately assess the quality of CBM" to be extracted. Current drilling is underway on both CBM concessions. On June 12th, PACE reported, "Early stage desorption data from 12 samples show a range of gas contents between 105 and 407 scf/t (3.3 to 12.7 m3/t) after 4 to 19 days of testing. These values will be exceeded as desorption will not be completed for several weeks."

The company appears on the right track and has been issuing regular progress reports, which are encouraging. As PACE progresses to its final drilling in Guizhou province, and as the price of natural gas recovers, we suspect Cohen Research will be pleased with their price targets, as might shareholders in Pacific Asia China Energy. <bio>James Finch contributes to http://StockInterview.com and other publication.
Posing in the comfort zone is rather natural and expected for models. Comfort zone is the set of behavioral patterns that people exhibit without becoming anxious. A model's comfort zone is more expansive because of the exhibitive nature of her work. She has to develop a personality that allows her to be comfortable exposing her body to a variety of people. Posing in scantily clad lingerie is not something the average Sue can handle.

Models remain in their comfort zones for the same reason the rest of us do. We don't get anxious when we are with the familiar, the comfortable. We feel secure in repetitive behavior and, unless challenged, most of us have neither reason nor desire to step outside the comfort zone. Most models create comfort zones in clothing, facial expressions, body language and appealing look (however they might define that). Like the rest of us in our comfort zones, they remain there because anxiety about the new and different is too difficult to face. They convince themselves internally that they `cannot handle' doing something unusual.

Comfort zones also become personal prisons because we're concerned about acceptance from others. If a model does something new and different for a photo shoot, what are her friends and colleagues going to think about her? We are all conditioned to believe we cannot live without approval from others. Most models stay within their defined comfort zones so they do not have to risk losing their friends' approval.

A model's comfort zone tends to create complacency. She feels secure within her imaginary boundaries and generally speaking, never looks at the opportunity to step outside those lines. She's comfortable there; why should she go some place where she is uncomfortable. In the extreme, she can become apathetic and the resulting photos show her inertia.

How can a model take a look at her comfort zone and decide to step out? She needs to know that highly successful people step out of their comfort zones with regularity. They identify a goal they want to achieve and they need to adapt new and different behavior patterns to reach the goal. A question she might ask herself in confronting her initial rise in anxiety is, What is the worst case scenario? Talking over possible answers to that question with her friends could prove helpful. She might more easily manage the risk if she knows what could potentially result from the change she is considering. She might also discover the beliefs supporting her current comfort zone are unfounded.

The second question she might ask herself is, What is the best case scenario? That is more fun to consider, and again, her friends might be helpful with possible responses. The enticement of something good or even really great could be just the impetus needed to make the change.

And if you decide to try a step outside your comfort zone, take it easy on yourself and do just one or two steps at a time. A gigantic leap is probably not necessary. Just try one or two new and different behaviors. Check out how they feel and see if your comfort zone can begin to be redefined to include something you never considered possible in your life. <bio>Mandarich Models is the http://www.mandarichmodels.com Female Photography division of http://www.mandarichmediagroup.com Mandarich Media Group </bio>

When suit is filed, the insurance company becomes aware that you are serious about pursuing your case. In Florida Medical Malpractice cases, it is a common practice to file suit.

A lawsuit is initiated by preparing and filing a "Complaint" and having it served upon the defendant. The Complaint clarifies to the defendant why a claim is being made against him and further informs in general terms the nature of the sustained injuries. The defendant will normally take the Complaint and turn it over to his insurance company. The insurance company will then hand over the case for a defense to its Florida Medical Malpractice Lawyers.

Florida Lawyers for the defendant and the insurance company will eventually "Answer" the Complaint and will in most instances send out documents known as "discovery" documents for you to answer .The Answer filed by the defense will sketch by and large the position taken in reference to denying or accepting responsibility for what happened to you. In the classic scenario, the defense denies all responsibility for what happened. Included among the documents provided to you by the defense will be "Questionnaires", which are written questions, the defense attorneys will ask you to respond to under oath. It is, as always, important to reply truthfully.

The defense attorneys will also probably send out a "Request for Production" of documents requesting you to submit any and all relevant documents related to your case. Your Florida Malpractice Lawyer will assist you to provide these responses. The reason the lawyer tries to gather up as much documentation as possible, before hand, is to anticipate what will be impending from the defense lawyers. At the same time the defense attorneys are sending you questionnaires and requests for production of documents, your lawyer will also be sending them similar queries.

The lawyers, in fact, typically serve this type of discovery with the Complaint to make the defendant to have to work from the very beginning of the case. It is important that the malpractice lawyer take the initiative and compel the defendant to be on the defensive in responding to the requests of lawyer. Once the lawsuit is filed, your case will be assigned to a specific trial judge. He will become familiar with your case and, hopefully, will be the assigned judge to try your case if it goes to trial.

Although, sometimes cases are transferred to other judges which can create problems in more serious cases. The Florida Wrongful Death Attorneys try to prevent such a transfer in more serious cases which take longer for a judge to get familiar with. <bio>Need help with a Medical Malpractice Case.
You probably know that carpet cleaning is necessary to maintain the life of your carpet and to have a healthy home. But how often should you have your carpet cleaned? This depends on a number of different factors. Read this article for some tips that will help you decide how often to clean your carpet.

I will start with the best case scenario. The longest anyone wants to go between carpet cleanings is one year. Even if a carpet gets no traffic it is subject to dust and other environmental contaminants. You should clean your homes carpet every year if you have only one or two people in your home with no pets and are a non smoker. If you meet these conditions, clean your carpet once a year.

The next interval is once every nine months. Clean your carpet every nine months if you have children or pets or if you have a household of one or two whom are smokers. If you meet these requirements, clean your carpet once every nine months.

Clean your carpet every six months if you have kids and pets or kids and smokers in the family. The combinations of these factors makes twice yearly carpet cleaning necessary so if you meet these conditions clean it every six months.

Finally there is the three month interval. This is for homes that have pets, kids and smokers. If this is the case three months is the maximum you should go between cleanings as these factors are rough on a carpet and a home.

Use the previous internals as guidelines only. Every home is different. You for example might be able to go longer between cleanings if you have a lot of hard surfaces in the home. You also might have to clean the carpet more often if you live in a very humid or dusty environment. This should give you enough information to make a general decision about when to clean your carpets. <bio>Visit http://www.lafayettecarpetcleaning.info for more information on carpet care and maintenance. </bio>
