<content:encoded><![CDATA[Mobile phone battery is like an in-build powerhouse of your mobile phone. There are varieties of batteries for varying capacity of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/mobile+phones" rel="tag">mobile phones</a>. A battery is a very important component in a mobile phone as it supplies low electrical power for its functioning. Battery technology for mobile phones has been witnessing continuous improvements, which actually help the production of newer sophisticated mobile phones. <br /><br /> The older <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/type+batteries" rel="tag">type batteries</a> like Ni-Cad require regular and complete discharge before its recharging. But, the newer type batteries like Li-Ion and NiMH does not require any such practice. All these types of batteries have a limit of current load that can be preserved in it and this is usually measured in milliampres (mAH). Depending on various characters, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/mobile+phone+batteries" rel="tag">mobile phone batteries</a> are classified into many types in which Ni-Cad batteries are older type and the newer are Lithium-Ion batteries. <br /><br /> The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/nimh+batteries" rel="tag">NiMH Batteries</a> <br /><br /> The NiMH (<a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/nickel+metal+hydride" rel="tag">Nickel Metal Hydride</a>) type of batteries are one that used widely today because of the fact that it does not require complete discharge before starting recharge like in a NiCad battery. For this advantageous reason, they are largely used in mobile phones and even in laptops. <br /><br /> This important aspect makes NiMH batteries supported by large number of consumers, as they do not hamper you by servicing the batteries every time before recharge. <br /><br /> The other main advantage with the battery is that it stores more power than of Ni-Cad and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/alkaline+batteries" rel="tag">Alkaline batteries</a>. Still it has an obstacle for their users that it discharges by itself within a quicker period of time, which makes it not practical for longer storage. <br /><br /> The Li-Ion Batteries <br /><br /> The Lithium-Ion batteries are new to the market and have the lowest discharge rate compared to Ni-Cad and NiMH batteries. They are nothing to do with complete discharge before recharge and so, today they are widely used in mobile phones. They are excellent to use because of their low-weight, which make devices such as mobile phones and video cameras more portable. <br /><br /> The Li-Polymer Batteries <br /><br /> This is the most new type battery used in the market. They are the most successful today for mobiles phones due to their potential of higher storage and low-weight. <br /><br /> In addition to knowing the battery types, also you need to adopt some practice to maximize the life of whichever mobile phone battery you use. One of them is cleaning the dirty battery contacts, which is the main problem of charging the batteries. So, clean the battery contact of your mobile phones regularly. Batteries that are kept unused for longtime lose their storage capacity. So, once started with a battery, it should be used until it expires. Following all this you can have a long going battery for your mobile phone, importantly can prevent yourself from being spent extra to purchase another battery. <bio>You can compare mobile phones of all major retailers at <a href="http://www.missphones.co.uk" >http://www.missphones.co.uk</a> and to get cheap mobile phones visit, <a href="http://www.edealsuk.com/cheap-mobile-deals-uk.aspx" >http://www.edealsuk.com/cheap-mobile-deals-uk.aspx</a>. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ The <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/kyocera+cell+phone" rel="tag">Kyocera cell phone</a> battery is designed to have a long life -- most people find they won't need to change it for the life of their phone. If you do find the need to look for a new Kyocera <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cell+phone+battery" rel="tag">cell phone battery</a>, there are some important things you should know. <br /><br /> 1. Watch out for imitations. An official Kyocera cell phone battery will have the Kyocera logo stamped on the battery. While the knock-off <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cell+phone+batteries" rel="tag">cell phone batteries</a> may be found to be cheap, they are typically cheap in construction, too. If it doesn't say Kyocera, it's not a Kyocera cell phone battery. <br /><br /> 2. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/match" rel="tag">Match</a> up the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/model+numbers" rel="tag">model numbers</a>. Just because a cell phone battery will fit your phone doesn't mean it's the right battery. A Kyocera cell phone battery will display a model number. Make sure when buying a replacement battery that the model numbers on the Kyocera cell phone battery match on both the old and new. <br /><br /> 3. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/recharge" rel="tag">Recharge</a> according to the manual. Some battery packs are just fine with being plugged in when not in use. But some work better (have a longer life) when they're recharged only after being fully discharged. Check the manual for the Kyocera cell phone battery that you have to find out the best recharging schedule for your phone. <br /><br /> Here's a bonus tip: Most people with a cell phone only have one battery, but anyone who does a lot of talking may want to look at getting a second, spare Kyocera cell phone battery. This can come in handy, especially when traveling. Your vacation or business trip could come to a screeching halt if your cell phone gives out and there's no place handy to recharge. <br /><br /> Follow those three simple steps and finding a new Kyocera cell phone battery that's just right for you will be quick and simple! <bio>Jay Jennings is a technical writer who loves gadgets and technology. <content:encoded><![CDATA[An <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/electric+scooter" rel="tag">electric scooter</a> uses no gas, but will use an electric charge to move about the home or the store. The electric charge is held in a battery. The scooter is plugged in as needed, for a few hours, to recharge the battery. No special <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/electric+outlets" rel="tag">electric outlets</a> are needed to charge the scooter or for continued use of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/battery+charger" rel="tag">battery charger</a> in the home. <br /><br /> The Electric <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/scooter+battery" rel="tag">Scooter Battery</a> The battery is a small piece of equipment you will charge weekly. The more you use the scooter, the more often you will be required to charge the scooter. The chargeable scooter battery is one you will find easy to understand. Most all scooters are available with a charging system that will display when the charge is full, and when the charge is low so you are never left stranded with a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/dead+battery" rel="tag">dead battery</a>. <br /><br /> When charging the battery 'be' sure to charge it until the light says the charge is full. Charging the battery half way, or only partially is going to lessen the life of the battery. Avoid charging the battery that is not empty. If you must take the scooter for a short ride to use more of the battery life, so you are then left with an empty battery, or at least almost empty battery. <br /><br /> Another feature about the scooter battery is that when it is low, when it is empty be sure to charge it again right away. The battery that sits empty for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/long+periods" rel="tag">long periods</a> will be difficult to charge again after sitting for a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/long+time" rel="tag">long time</a>. Think about your cordless phone, you must charge it 15 hours when it is empty. The same will apply for your scooter chair if you leave it empty for a long time. It will require charging for a longer amount of time. When it is empty, recharge it, and the process will be faster. <br /><br /> Avoid adding or putting water on the battery, the charger or the connections for the battery. Water can easily make electric outlets surge, or worse break. You want to keep the battery and the charger moisture free for as long as you <bio>Jason Uvios Writes about on Maintaining A Charge For An Electric Scooter to visit :- <a href="http://www.sweetscooteronline.info" >http://www.sweetscooteronline.info</a>, <a href="http://www.scooterforall.info" >http://www.scooterforall.info</a> and <a href="http://scooter-stoday.info" >http://scooter-stoday.info</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[The wheelchair is not merely the convenience that you should look after even though it is a great help for its users. There are various types of wheelchair styles available in the market and it has specific considerations that need to take into account. <br /><br /> One type is <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/manual+wheelchair" rel="tag">manual wheelchair</a> and you may be familiar with its usage since it is the first one to be used by in the past. <br /><br /> While on the other hand, dealing with power and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/electric+wheelchair" rel="tag">electric wheelchair</a>s are of a different thing altogether. In order for it to run, you need a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wheelchair+battery" rel="tag">wheelchair battery</a> and therefore you should consider your battery consumption. <br /><br /> It is quite a difficult task to choose a type of battery for your electric or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/power+wheelchair" rel="tag">power wheelchair</a>. You need to gauge the kind of trips that you will have aside from the brand of battery. <br /><br /> Then you need to look into the manner of how you will use your wheelchair including the frequency of your usage. <br /><br /> When using the wrong battery, it tends to be stranded in the middle of your destination especially when you have a trip on rugged terrains where batteries don't have sufficient energy to sustain the wheelchair. <br /><br /> Here are the lists of other considerations aside from the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/battery+life" rel="tag">battery life</a>: <br /><br /> • Cost The cost of the wheelchair battery can determine its quality in most cases. A good quality of the battery can be determined by factors such as: it takes up less space and weighs less. <br /><br /> • Maintenance It is in line with the cost consideration and is really hard to accept the situation if you do not properly use the battery. It is better to maximize the usage of battery life for lesser maintenance. <br /><br /> • Transportation ability The capacity of the battery can be determined by this. The transportation ability also specifies the duration or length of your travel. <br /><br /> You must ask the dealer if the battery is already included in the package or not when buying a unit of a power or electric wheelchair. Discount can be offered in some ways. <br /><br /> It is really tempting to use <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/car+batteries" rel="tag">car batteries</a> since it is cheaper but it is not a perfect idea. Poor quality can also cause leaking of battery acid. <br /><br /> Be sure to fully charge the battery before taking it off to avoid damage. Battery life always depends on how frequent you use your battery. Buy a new, high quality battery if you think that it is not really doing any good. <bio>If You Liked This Article, You Migh Also Like My Other Must-Read Wheelchair Articles. <content:encoded><![CDATA[At last you have the car of your dreams and you spent large amounts of both time and money on restoring it and you now want to keep it in the same pristine condition. Unfortunately winter is coming and you do not want to drive it in now the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/weather" rel="tag">weather</a> is turning bad. So you have decided that you want to put your car into storage for the winter months and as cheaply as possible? Yet you also want to be able to get it back onto the road as soon as the weather is good again and find it in the same condition as when it went into storage? <br /><br /> Well hopefully the information contained within this article will help you to make an informed decision on the type of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/car+storage" rel="tag">car storage</a> you will use. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/indoor+storage" rel="tag">Indoor Storage</a> Of course this is the best way for any one to go when looking for storage for their prized car and is the best option especially if you will be away for any extended period of time.<br /><br />But because you don't have a garage you are now looking for an alternative. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/luckily" rel="tag">Luckily</a> there are many indoor <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/storage+facilities" rel="tag">storage facilities</a> around which will gladly rent <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/storage+space" rel="tag">storage space</a> that is big enough for a vehicle. If you can try and find a facility where they will run the engine on your car for you every month or two. However, you may find that they will charge you extra for this facility, but it will save you money in the long term as the vehicle will be ready for you to drive after a long lay over period. <br /><br /> When preparing your car for storage it is important that it is clean. Wait until you have a warm dry day and then completely wash and wax the car. Also make sure that you clean the underbody and around the wheel areas as well as any dirt left on the car holds moisture and when combined with air will result in result being allowed to grow. <br /><br /> Also thoroughly clean the car inside. Use either a shop/garage vacuum or a household one in order to get into all the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/nooks+and+crannies" rel="tag">nooks and crannies</a> in your car (it is important to get rid of any dirt or crumbs etc., from the car prior to storage). Leaving such items in the car will only make it a place that small creatures (mice, rats) will be drawn to and make their home inside it. <br /><br /> If you can get the carpets thoroughly cleaned and do this before you do any thing else so that it gives them time to dry out before you put the car into storage. <br /><br /> Next take out the spark plugs and put some oil into the cylinders as this will prevent the cylinder walls, pistons and valves from rusting. You can use regular motor oil but a can of fogging oil from a marine supply store is a good alternative. Now you need to turn the engine by hand half a dozen times to make sure that the oil coats everything. Before you reinstall the spark plugs apply a little anti-seize to them.<br /><br />Also make sure that the petrol (gas) tank is full as this will reduce the risk of how much water is available to be absorbed by the petrol (gas). <br /><br /> Now we come to the electrical system of your car. Remove the battery cables (negative cable first) and then lift out the battery from the engine. Next you need to wipe the batter down with a battery cleaner (this removes any moisture holding dirt or grease from it). Now you place the battery on a clean dry surface. Attach the battery to a trickle charger which will help preserve the battery's charge. Also inspect the battery for any rust or corrosion. <br /><br /> You will then need to lubricate the hood latches, hinges and door hinges if you are able to check the brake fluid (flush it out and replace if necessary). Now you will need to check the coolant level (make sure there is enough to protect the cooling system from winter temperatures). <br /><br /> If you want to keep rodents and other small animals from chewing the ignition wires and other wiring in your car (place clean rags into the engine air intake, fresh air intake (under the windshield) and the exhaust. A good idea is to get a big box of mothballs and spread them around and under the car (this seems to keep undesirable elements away from the car). <br /><br /> As for the tyres they will after extended periods of time when not moving they will develop flat spots and the best way to prevent this is to put the car up on jacks.<br /><br /><br /><br /> Now remove the wiper blades as this will prevent them from becoming glued to the windshield. <br /><br /> Now you carried out all the necessary things about there is nothing left for you to do but to put it in to storage and lock up knowing you can enjoy it in the future? <bio>Lee Dobbins writes for <a href="http://www.moving-and-more.com" >http://www.moving-and-more.com</a> where you can get great moving and storage tips. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[In this article, you will learn about the different types of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lawnmower" rel="tag">lawnmower</a> batteries and how you should take care of them. Learning how to help your batteries last as long as possible will save you time and money. <br /><br /> Why A <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/battery+operated" rel="tag">Battery Operated</a> Lawnmower? <br /><br /> Most likely, you have chosen a battery operated lawnmower because you like the idea of not having to put fuel in it. Other reasons that you may like your battery operated lawnmower include less noise and pollution than a gasoline operated lawnmower. An electic lawnmower seemed to be too confining and your yard was less than 1 acre, so you chose the battery operated lawnmower. <br /><br /> Different Types of Batteries <br /><br /> A lawnmower battery is a battery that is rechargeable. These batteries get their power by storing electicity inside of them. They have been on the market for many years and the new advancement of a maintenance free <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/nickel+cadmium+battery" rel="tag">nickel cadmium battery</a> has made them even more popular. The different types of batteries include: <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/alkaline+batteries" rel="tag">Alkaline batteries</a>: This type of battery is used for smaller capacity uses, including portable electric devices. They are not used as a lawnmower battery. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lead+acid+batteries" rel="tag">Lead acid batteries</a>: This kind of battery is used in cars and lawnmowers, but are slowly being replaced by the easier maintenance nickel cadmium battery. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/nickel+cadmium+batteries" rel="tag">Nickel cadmium batteries</a>: This battery offers low maintenance, which is why it is becoming more popular. It is quickly replacing the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lead+acid+battery" rel="tag">lead acid battery</a>. <br /><br /> Lithium and other types: These types of batteries are not being used in lawnmowers due to their expense and the low storage capacity. <br /><br /> Lawnmower Batteries <br /><br /> There are only two types of batteries that are used in lawnmowers. They are the lead acid battery and the nickel cadmium (Ni-Cad) battery. The Ni-Cad battery offers you better performance and they are more environmentally friendly than the lead acid battery. Lead acid batteries cannot be disposed of in your garbage and they must be recycled. If not disposed of correctly, lead poisoning can result, which is very dangerous. There are no dangerous chemicals in a Ni-cad battery that can cause you harm, but they cannot be disposed of in a fire, because the battery may explode. <br /><br /> Care Of Lead Acid Batteries <br /><br /> Learning how to take care of lead acid batteries will help them to last longer and keep you safe. <br /><br /> 1. The acid inside of this battery is called hydrochloric acid. You need to make sure that the acid does not spill on your body or your clothes. If there is a spill, it needs to be washed up with a large quantity of water. <br /><br /> 2. If the water level needs to be increased, use distilled water and not tap water. Increase the water level until the lead plates are just submerged in electrolyte. Do not add water to the top, because this increases the chance of acid spillage. <br /><br /> 3. You will find a small hole at the plug that will give you a place to add water. The hydrogen from the battery also escapes through this hole, so you want to make sure that this hole stays clear. <br /><br /> Care Of Ni-Cad batteries <br /><br /> This kind of battery does not need any regular maintenance. The only thing that you need to keep in mind is that you do not want to charge the battery until it is completely dead. This will help the battery to last longer. It will take around 6 months for the battery to completely discharge and then you can start charging the batteries. This will keep your batteries in tip-top condition for a longer period of time. <bio>Andrew Caxton is an online entrepreneur and writes for <a href="http://www.lawn-mowers-and-garden-tractors.com" >http://www.lawn-mowers-and-garden-tractors.com</a> . <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lead+acid+batteries" rel="tag">Lead acid batteries</a>: This kind of battery is used in cars and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lawnmowers" rel="tag">lawnmowers</a>, but are slowly being replaced by the easier maintenance nickel cadmium battery. <br /><br /> Lithium and other types: These types of batteries are not being used in lawnmowers due to their expense and the low <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/storage+capacity" rel="tag">storage capacity</a>. <content:encoded><![CDATA[If you have a cell phone, then you would likely also have a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/battery+charger" rel="tag">battery charger</a>. Most phones of this type are accompanied by an A/C adapter, which hooks into the phone and is then plugged into an outlet. Depending on the phone, it may take up to 24 hours for the battery charger to fully recharge the phone's battery. Because cell phones operate by battery, this is an accessory that cannot be overlooked. <br /><br /> Not all cellular phone purchases include them, but a battery charger is also available for use in one's <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/automobile" rel="tag">automobile</a>. This device typically plugs into the vehicle's <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cigarette+lighter" rel="tag">cigarette lighter</a> and the other end into the telephone. This battery <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/charger+works" rel="tag">charger works</a> instantly and allows the owner to use his/her phone immediately. If a cell phone does not have this type of battery charger included in the original purchase, it is best to purchase one. If you have a purse, you can place the battery charger inside so that you will always have it with you. Otherwise, it can be placed in the glove box of your automobile. <br /><br /> You can take either an A/C adapter or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cell+phone+battery" rel="tag">cell phone battery</a> charger for your automobile with you on vacation, as well. If you plan to travel by commuter train, most have <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/electrical+hookups" rel="tag">electrical hookups</a> that allow you to <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/conveniently" rel="tag">conveniently</a> charge your cell phone using the A/C adapter. When you arrive at your destination, you will have the convenience of having the battery charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter of any rental car. <br /><br /> A battery charger is a relatively inexpensive item and can be found at any retail store's electronic department. It is important to realize that not every battery charger works with all phones. Each is specifically designed for a model or manufacturer, so be sure to write down the model number and manufacturer's name before shopping for a battery charger. If you switch phones, be sure to get another battery charger and do not attempt to use your current one with any other phone than it is intended for. <br /><br /> A battery charger is a must-have for every cell phone owner. If you begin to have car problems and find that your cell phone battery is low, this is the only way to regain contact with a friend or relative who can help. At the same time, if you want to make sure that your cell phone is charged up and ready to go when you walk out the door, follow the instructions to using you're A/C adapter to charge the battery in the convenience of your own home. <bio>To find out more about battery charger <a href="<a href="http://www.batterychargersearch.info">http://www.batterychargersearch.info</a>"><a href="http://www.batterychargersearch.info">http://www.batterychargersearch.info</a></a>, please visit our website at <a href="<a href="http://www.batterychargersearch.info">http://www.batterychargersearch.info</a>"><a href="http://www.batterychargersearch.info">http://www.batterychargersearch.info</a></a> . <content:encoded><![CDATA[ At last you have the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/car+of+your+dreams" rel="tag">car of your dreams</a> and you spent large amounts of both time and money on restoring it and you now want to keep it in the same <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/pristine+condition" rel="tag">pristine condition</a>. Unfortunately winter is coming and you do not want to drive it in now the weather is turning bad. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/indoor+storage" rel="tag">Indoor Storage</a> Of course this is the best way for any one to go when looking for storage for their prized car and is the best option especially if you will be away for any extended period of time. But because you don't have a garage you are now looking for an alternative. Luckily there are many indoor <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/storage+facilities" rel="tag">storage facilities</a> around which will gladly rent <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/storage+space" rel="tag">storage space</a> that is big enough for a vehicle. Before you reinstall the spark plugs apply a little anti-seize to them. Also make sure that the petrol (gas) tank is full as this will reduce the risk of how much water is available to be absorbed by the petrol (gas).

<content:encoded><![CDATA[New iPod <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/models" rel="tag">models</a> have sprung up as quickly as mushrooms after the rain and each time they just seem to get better and better. I have to say though that this <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/u2+special+edition+ipod" rel="tag">U2 special edition iPod</a> just captured my heart the moment I saw it. Being very much a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/u2+fan" rel="tag">U2 fan</a>, the fact that the back panel has the band members' signatures engraved on it is enough reason in itself for it to be the best. The U2 iPod is easily recognizable from all the other models due to its style. While the others are usually white - or plain black in the case of some 5G models -- this baby's black front panel and bright red click wheel is sure to stand out. <br /><br /> The U2 iPod is so much more than eye candy, though. Twenty gigabytes of storage may seem meager compared to the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/storage+capacity" rel="tag">storage capacity</a> of the newer models but believe me, it still translates to a lot of songs. I have had the iPod for a little over a year now and I still haven't filled it up. <br /><br /> The U2 iPod has similar features as that of other <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ipods" rel="tag">iPods</a> of its generation. It is so easy to use - all you need in order to do whatever you want with your songs is your thumb. Superior sound quality lets you enjoy all your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/favorite+songs" rel="tag">favorite songs</a>. <br /><br /> One drawback is the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/battery+life" rel="tag">battery life</a>. It is supposed to be able to play songs continuously for 12 hours. In my experience, it could be anywhere from 4-9 hours. Factors such as file size and playback options may be the reason for this. The lock button on the top of the iPod can help conserve battery. When not in use, you can lock it so that you won't accidentally run the battery down. Another concern is that the iPod gets scratched easily. Solution: get a case for protection. <br /><br /> Indeed, compared to the other models with their newer features, the U2 iPod is a bit expensive. If you think about it though, it has everything you need in an mp3 player -- unless it's video you're after. I suppose the bottom line is whether you are enough of a U2 fan to splurge on it. Then again, even if you are not and you have enough cash to spend, the stand out look of the U2 iPod should be enough reason to get it for yourself. <bio>For more information please visit <a href="http://www.444.net">http://www.444.net.</a>. </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ Keeping time nowadays can be done in a number of ways. From cell phones to computers to PDA's, we have the accurate time right at our fingertips at any given moment. But for some, staying on schedule means the ownership of a wristwatch. And the maintenance of such a watch means the periodic replacement of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/watch+battery" rel="tag">watch battery</a>. <br /><br /> First introduced by Energizer in 1957, the watch battery revolutionized the way we powered our watches. No longer was it necessary to wind a watch in order to maintain its operation; the watch battery was the new face of timekeeping and the public responded by making battery-operated watches one of the most popular choices among consumers; manufacturers scrambled to keep pace. <br /><br /> Today, the watch battery is taken mostly for granted; its miniscule presence rarely noticed until it's time to find a replacement. But luckily, finding a watch battery replacement is neither a pricey nor complicated procedure. For <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/designer+watches" rel="tag">designer watches</a>, it is always best to visit the manufacturer or an authorized dealer. For these particular <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/brands+of+watches" rel="tag">brands of watches</a>, corresponding parts are often found only through the manufacturer. In this way you can guarantee the consistency of high quality parts =96 including your watch battery. <br /><br /> For less <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/expensive+watches" rel="tag">expensive watches</a>, a watch battery can be found in <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/local+retail+stores" rel="tag">local retail stores</a> or even in <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/jewelry+stores" rel="tag">jewelry stores</a>. They are extremely inexpensive and relatively easy to replace. Most important, however, is to ask about your watch's battery needs when purchasing it. In this way you can be sure you know what to ask for and where to look when your watch battery needs replacing. <br /><br /> The added bonus of the watch battery is its ability to be used in other small pieces of equipment such as hearing aids, remote controls, and calculators =96 among other items. This can be extremely convenient when you need a quick and temporary watch battery replacement. <bio>For easy to understand, in depth information about watch visit our <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/ezguide" rel="tag">ezGuide</a> 2 <a href="http://watch.ezguide2.com" >http://watch.ezguide2.com</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ When it comes to understanding the revolutionary new <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/iphone" rel="tag">iPhone</a> device, one of the most important parts of all that you should be aware of is the iPhone battery. There are lots of <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/different+things" rel="tag">different things</a> that are important to know regarding the battery of the iPhone, so that you can be informed and understand about it. <br /><br /> Common Questions and Answers <br /><br /> One of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/most+commonly+asked" rel="tag">most commonly asked</a> questions about the iPhone battery is whether it is covered by a warranty and the answer is yes, it is, and not only that but you can also extend the warranty if you want to two years with <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/applecare+protection+plan" rel="tag">AppleCare Protection Plan</a> for iPhone. <br /><br /> The iPhone battery is not disposable and is designed to last for a very long time, years in fact as long as it is properly taken care of in the meantime. In fact, Apple is consistently ranked number one in terms of product quality and support by various leading consumer groups around the world. <br /><br /> Over time however, as with almost any other related device, the iPhone battery will begin to progressively degrade, as over time the battery will simply not be able to hold the same amount of charge as it did when it was new. This is true of all <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lithium+ion+batteries" rel="tag">lithium ion batteries</a>, and there is a very easy solution to this problem =96 buy a new battery. <br /><br /> This is not a huge deal, because you will only have to buy a battery once you notice a serious decrease in efficiency of the iPhone battery, which will typically be around a year or so of average use of the device. <br /><br /> Not only that, but the batteries are usually very affordable so it is definitely not a purchase that you are going to have to dread or worry about shelling out a lot of money for. <br /><br /> If you are really concerned about getting the best out of your iPhone battery, then you should know that there are a few different things you can do here. One is to keep a regular and proper charging pattern, and it is also generally recommended that you store lithium ion batteries at about 40% charge. If you know that you will be storing your iPhone for an extended period of time somewhere, then the best idea here is to store it in a cool place. <br /><br /> As long as you take proper care of your iPhone battery and other iPhone parts, it will last you a really long time and work effectively and efficiently. <a href="http://www.the-iphone.biz/" >http://www.the-iphone.biz/</a> <bio><a href="http://www.the-iphone.biz/" >http://www.the-iphone.biz/</a> </bio>]]></content:encoded>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[ In the world of car battery testers, Midtronics stands out as the manufacturer of unique and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/cutting+edge+technology" rel="tag">cutting edge technology</a> for the automotive industry. Midtronics has been producing car battery testers for 20 years and continually leads the market in innovation. Their products are even required for <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/battery+warranty" rel="tag">battery warranty</a> decisions across the nation at automotive dealers, auto shops and car battery dealers. What makes a Midtronics battery tester unique in the market is the conductance based technology that it uses in its car battery testers. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/conventional+car" rel="tag">Conventional car</a> battery testers employ the BCI adjustable load test to measure if a car's battery is usable. They measure the voltage drop when an applied load of =BD the CCA rating of the battery is used. In order for BCI load testing to be accurate, the battery must be at room temperature and cannot be discharged. If the battery to be tested is in a discharged state, a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/car+battery+charger" rel="tag">car battery charger</a> must used and this adds considerable time to the testing process. However, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/midtronics+battery+testers" rel="tag">Midtronics battery testers</a> employs conductance technology that makes the process of battery testing much faster and a lot easier. <br /><br /> What is conductance and why is it so great? This is a common question we receive about Midtronics battery testers. Conductance measures a batteries ability to move electrical current through the internal structure. This method produces a direct relationship to a battery and its power. A tiny AC charge is sent through the battery that produces a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/voltage+response" rel="tag">voltage response</a>. This is what the battery tester measures. One of the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/chief+advantages" rel="tag">chief advantages</a> to this method is that as a battery ages and corrodes, conductance can determine if a battery can still be used. Basically, what this means is an automotive technician can test a battery without waiting for the battery to cool down to room temperature or have to wait 6 =96 24 hours to recharge the battery. With a Midtronics battery tester, the battery can be tested immediately and accurately because of the conductance technology. <br /><br /> Ease of use is another great advantage to the Midtronics battery tester. A manual load test requires a trained operator than judge if the battery is even testable. Also, the test must be performed accurately within the proper time and then the data needs to be referenced in complex charts. This data needs to be interpreted as well. By comparison, a Midtronics battery tester does all the work. Just input some simple data into the unit, hook it up and press the start button. Anyone can use and accurately measure batteries with Midtronics battery testers and it takes the guesswork out of using load testing charts and complex testing. <br /><br /> Another great advantage of a Midtronics battery tester is the car battery can be safely tested while it is still in the vehicle. All it requires is the engine must not be running and the battery terminals should be reasonably clean. A few conditions may make it necessary to actually remove the battery. If the terminals are located remotely away from the battery being tested, the battery can read weak on the instrument or if the battery is installed in such a way that you cannot correctly connect the Midtronics battery tester to it. In most vehicles and fleet trucks this is not the case and the tester can be easily hooked up to the battery without having to remove it. <bio>Jason has been in the construction equipment and industrial sales business for over 10 years. <content:encoded><![CDATA[Are you ready to get your laptop battery to last for a while? Understanding what type of battery you have and how to care for it can go a long way toward that goal. Steps that will extend the life of one type of rechargeable battery will kill another type of battery. Being knowledgeable on the type of laptop battery you own can go a long way towards being able to use your laptop battery for a long time to come. <br /><br /> Know What Kind of Battery your Laptop Uses <br /><br /> The three most common <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/rechargeable+batteries" rel="tag">rechargeable batteries</a> on the market include lithium ion, nickel metal cadmium, and <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/nickel+metal+hydride" rel="tag">nickel metal hydride</a>. Most <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/laptop+batteries" rel="tag">laptop batteries</a> today use either <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lithium+ion+batteries" rel="tag">lithium ion batteries</a> or <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lithium+ion+polymer+batteries" rel="tag"><a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lithium+ion+polymer" rel="tag">lithium ion polymer</a> batteries</a> for a number of reasons. You can confirm this by pulling your laptop battery out from the bottom or back of your laptop and examining the tiny writing on it. Look for something that says either lithium ion, nickel cadmium, or nickel metal hydride. <br /><br /> Advantages of Lithium Ion Batteries <br /><br /> The most common battery in modern laptops uses <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/lithium+ion+technology" rel="tag">lithium ion technology</a>. This battery has a number of advantages over the other types of rechargeable batteries. I'll list them below: <br /><br /> Lithium Ion Batteries don't develop a battery memory. Both other types of rechargeable batteries can develop a 'memory' for shorter charges drastically shortening the amount of time your battery lasts between charges. Lithium Ion batteries though, don't suffer from memory problems. <br /><br /> Lithium Ion Batteries hold their charge for a long period of time. The other battery types will lose their charge if left to sit around even if they aren't being used. Lithium Ion batteries will hold their charge for a lot longer between charges even if the battery ends up sitting around for a while. <br /><br /> You get more battery life than the other rechargeable types. For the same size and weight, lithium ion batteries last longer between charges because more of the bulk of the battery is dedicated to capacity rather than just 'overhead'. <br /><br /> For information on the disadvantages of lithium ion batteries, check out <a href="<a href="http://www.asklaptop.com">http://www.asklaptop.com</a>"><a href="http://www.asklaptop.com">http://www.asklaptop.com</a>.</a>. <br /><br /> Quick Way to Kill Your Lithium Ion Battery <br /><br /> Avoid the following list of things in order to get the maximum life out of your laptop battery. Some of the most common things to avoid include: <br /><br /> Do not subject your battery to extreme temperatures. Lithium ion batteries do not handle heat well. One of the quickest ways to kill your battery is to leave it in a hot car even for a short period of time. In fact, if you aren't going to use your battery for awhile, you are better off storing it in the refrigerator but NOT the freezer, that will kill it too. <br /><br /> Avoid completely discharging your battery where possible. While other types of rechargeables like nickel cadmium batteries need to be completely discharged, doing this with lithium ion batteries will kill it. As much as possible, recharge your battery when it has around 40% of its battery power left. Recharge often. <content:encoded><![CDATA[ How do <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/batteries" rel="tag">batteries</a> work? <br /><br /> Batteries give life to all kinds of appliances. They work in cars, personal computers, <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/mp3+players" rel="tag">MP3 players</a>, video games, and cell phones. A battery is packed with chemicals that produce electrons. The chemical reactions generated by electrons are called electromechanical reactions. <br /><br /> The battery is a life-giving piece. Cars and other electronic gadgets and equipment will not run without batteries in place. The reaction produced by the battery gives equipment the power they need in order to perform. <br /><br /> * What are batteries made of? <br /><br /> A battery is certainly the pacemaker of the heart of a machine. Most of the machine depends on the voltage and its capacity. A battery is made of the container, cathode, separator, collector, and electrolyte. <br /><br /> The container is the housing case of a battery. It is where the <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/electrochemical+reactions" rel="tag">electrochemical reactions</a> take place. <br /><br /> The cathode is the layer where <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/manganese+dioxide" rel="tag">manganese dioxide</a> and carbon mix, in order to increase the reaction occurring in the container. <br /><br /> A separator is a non-woven, fibrous fabric that separates <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/electrolytes" rel="tag">electrolytes</a>. <br /><br /> The collector is the part of the battery that has a brass pin in the middle of it. <br /><br /> An electrolyte has <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/potassium+hydroxide" rel="tag">potassium hydroxide</a> that gives a solution in water that carries ionic content to the inner part of the battery. <br /><br /> * How long does a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/rechargeable+battery" rel="tag">rechargeable battery</a> last? <br /><br /> The life of the rechargeable battery under regular use is about 500 to 900 charge and discharge processes. This will mean a couple of years of battery life for a regular use. As the rechargeable battery begins to stop working, the running rechargeable amount of time will start to go down. <br /><br /> The user must recharge the battery correctly to avoid explosion. When the charge supply of the battery only reaches a couple of minutes, it is time for a replacement. <br /><br /> * How do I know if a battery is good or not? <br /><br /> Sometimes, you can tell if a battery is good by simply looking at its packaging and checking for leaks. Below are some other things you can do to check the quality of the battery: <br /><br /> - Check the battery first for defects such as a broken circuit, a short, or a broken housing or container. <br /><br /> - Check the battery's capacity using known measuring techniques to ascertain the problem. <br /><br /> - Check for a flexible plate covering. A battery will store more energy with a galvanic plate covering. <bio>Bart Trevet is editor of <a href="http://www.batteriestips.com" >http://www.batteriestips.com</a>, the online guide to Batteries. <content:encoded><![CDATA[One should realize that <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wheelchair+battery" rel="tag">wheelchair battery</a> charger must be fully operational in transferring electricity and its proper function. Find out how wheelchair <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/chargers" rel="tag">chargers</a> affect the efficiency of the battery is your primary concern. <br /><br /> An essential part of your powered wheelchair is the stored electric energy in your battery. It's the lifeline of your <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/electric+wheelchair" rel="tag">electric wheelchair</a> as without it you cannot move into your desired position. It is very essential for everyday living especially for those who depend on their electric wheelchair as their primary source of transportation. <br /><br /> There are lost of newly designed batteries that can suit your need in <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/electric+wheelchairs" rel="tag">electric wheelchairs</a>. <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/wheelchair+batteries" rel="tag">Wheelchair batteries</a> are designed to be reused for a number of times. You must have a compatible charger on it for you can use it all over again. Three types of batteries are available in the market. First is wet, then gel and last is AGM. These different types of batteries must have specific chargers. <br /><br /> These chargers are classified into two types: • Manual- requires constant supervision for it can permanently damage the battery in time if not plugged out after fully charged. <br /><br /> • Automatic- automatically monitors the charge in the battery and automatically shuts off if the battery is fully charged. <br /><br /> You must consider safety issues in using batteries before buying your preferred wheelchair battery: <br /><br /> • Sensors must probably be built into the charger and wheelchair to detect the connection between the wheelchair and the battery if it's correct. <br /><br /> • The wheelchair, charger, and the batteries may also be protected by using connectors that only allow proper connections. <br /><br /> • When you purchase a single purpose charger, the charger should <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/match" rel="tag">match</a> the charging configurations required by the battery. <br /><br /> • Purchased chargers must meet the power standard requirements of the local country's power supply. <br /><br /> • The wheelchair movements must become inoperable when the batteries are being charged. <br /><br /> • Lastly, a charger should not be left plugged in to the battery for over 24 hours as it can permanently damage the battery or can cause incidents like battery acid leaks or fire. <br /><br /> You must consult your local dealer to find out which charger will suit you best before purchasing your preferred wheelchair charger. Then if you already purchased what you need, read the manual first before using it. Follow all the directions for safety and can make your battery last longer. The manual also includes safety guidelines when charging the wheelchair battery. <bio>If You Liked This Article, You Migh Also Like My Other Must-Read Wheelchair Articles. <content:encoded><![CDATA[How are <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/motorcycle+batteries" rel="tag">Motorcycle Batteries</a> Rated? <br /><br /> The amp/hour (AH) capacity is the basis for rating motorcycle batteries. For example, a 12AH battery can produce one amp of current flow for 12 hours, or two amps for six hours. In order to calculate the amount of time needed to use up a fully charged <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/motorcycle+battery" rel="tag">motorcycle battery</a> by turning the lights on, we have to take power in watts, and divide it by voltage, which gives us the current draw in Amps. Therefore, a 72 watts beam and tail together, divided by <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/12+volts" rel="tag">12 volts</a> equals a 6-amp draw. So in 2 hours, the 12AH battery is dead. <br /><br /> Checking Motorcycle Battery: <br /><br /> If you decide to check if your new motorcycle battery is done correctly, follow this actual factory-recommended service procedure. <br /><br /> If the battery is not a maintenance-free type which doesn't have a <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/vent+tube" rel="tag">vent tube</a>, unwrap the battery, unkink the vent tube and snip about a half-inch off the end. Fill it with <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/electrolyte" rel="tag">electrolyte</a> midway (between the high and low level markings on the case) and leave it undisturbed for one or two hours. Remember, the battery will still be at only 65% of full charge at this point. Add electrolyte again if required. <br /><br /> If your battery is a refillable lead-antimony type, it should be charged at one-third of its rated capacity in amp/hours for four to five hours to get it to full charge. Maintenance-free type battery should be charged with a constant-current charger that can drive the charge with as much as 16.9 volts. This should be closely supervised so as not to exceed full charge. <br /><br /> Next, recheck the electrolyte level and add water if required. Let the battery cool so the case contracts enough to fit into its typically tight little holder. Run the new breather tube, if the battery comes along with one, carefully through the original factory routing. <br /><br /> <a href="http://www.artwoo.com/tag/things+to+remember" rel="tag">Things to Remember</a> when Charging the Battery: <br /><br /> 1.First of all, it is important to remember that Red is positive and Black is negative in order to avoid any accidents such as short-circuits and nasty shocks. <br /><br /> 2.The charger should be compatible with the motorcycle battery, and give a greater output than the battery voltage but not too high. <br /><br /> 3.Make sure the connections are clean and the electrolyte is at the upper level, and don't fill the cells up to the very top of the battery. <br /><br /> 4.You can either use an optimizer on the battery which can effectively switch off the battery when it's charged and prevents overheating, or disconnect it manually. <br /><br /> 5.It is recommended to put your battery on charge every two or three weeks. <br /><br /> 6.An upper and lower level battery should have all the cells on the upper level, not over and never under the lower level. <br /><br /> 7.For topping off the low cells, use only distilled water. <br /><br /> 8.The minimum charge for a new batter should be at least for 8 hours. <br /><br /> 9.If you have a dry battery, fill the cells slowly and leave the battery for around half an hour. <bio><a href="http://batteries-hq.com/">http://batteries-hq.com/</a> Batteries HQ: everything you need to know about batteries. </bio>]]></content:encoded>
