While the thought of creating bamboo fountains may seem a bit challenging, doing so is surprisingly simple, and can requires only a few items available at any home improvement retailer like Home Depot or Lowe's. In no time, you can build strikingly attractive bamboo fountains to grace your home's interior for years.

Parts For Your Bamboo Fountains

Bamboo fountains can be built from parts easily obtained wither online or from a home garden or hardware supplier. The most important components of bamboo fountains, or any fountains, for that matter, are the fountain pumps. Look for the fountain pumps' gph, or gallon-per-hour-ratings on their boxes, and select one with a lower rating if you prefer a soothing flow of water to a more energetic one.

You should next look for half-inch tubing with which to connect the pumps for your bamboo fountains. Because tubing is so inexpensive, you should go ahead and buy twice what you think you will actually use, to be on the safe side.

Then find a waterproof container. You can get an inexpensive flower pot made of waterproof terra cotta, but try to find ones with no drainage holes; otherwise you will have to seal them. Terra cotta containers come in several sizes, so you will have plenty to work with.

Finally, choose your bamboo which is also available in several sizes. You should cet at least tow different sizes; three-quarter and two inch widths would be a good choice but whatever sizes you choose should be large enough to cover the water spouts on the pumps for your bamboo fountains. Get pieces of bamboo which are about three feet long, and make sure you have a hand saw to trim them as needed. You'll also need raffia, decorative gravel or rocks, and wire mesh screen.

Assembling Your Bamboo Fountains

To assemble your bamboo fountains, begin by sealing any drainage holes in your containers with cork covered with a waterproof adhesive. While that dries, trim your bamboo canes to lengths of about fifteen inches, and drill a hole into some of the canes so that they will hold the nozzles of your bamboo fountains' pumps. Next, use raffia to lash enough pieces of bamboo together so that they will completely conceal the pumps.

Then place pieces of your wire mesh over the bases of your pumps, by cutting it in circles the diameter of the bases of your containers. Place the pumps into the pots, covering them with the gravel or rocks, and inserting the nozzle of the pumps into the bamboo canes which you have drilled. By tipping that bamboo cane into another one, you will cause the water to cascade and produce a waterfall. Pour your water in, and as your bamboo fountains come to life, you'll get the first glimpse of the lasting beauty they will add to your home!

Bamboo garden fountains are equally suited to interior or exterior d=E9cor, and are particularly popular among practitioners of the discipline of feng shui. Although the use of bamboo garden fountains originated in Asia, their grace and beauty have led to wide their wide adoption by homeowners and decorators all over the globe. There are bamboo garden fountains perfect for any decorating theme. <bio>You can also find more info on http://www.topfountains.com on fountains and http://www.topfountains.com/category/bamboo-garden-fountains on bamboo garden http://fountains.Topfountains.com/ is a comprehensive resource to know more about fountains. </bio>

First of all I would like to make it perfectly clear that I am a big fan of bamboo flooring and for bamboo in general. I am only issuing the following warning because I do care so much about bamboo and where it can lead us. So whether you are a person that believes in the goodness of people or whether you place trust in nobody, please read this carefully.

Container loads of defective bamboo are constantly reaching our shores. Each and every day consumers purchase bamboo flooring "for a deal", however they end up on the receiving end of a "bad deal". Even for the incredibly low price they purchased it for, they still paid too much and they will continue to pay as long as they own this flooring.

Cheap binding agents, high levels of formaldehydes, poor craftsmanship, worthless scrap. These are just a few of the many problems with an inferior bamboo flooring product. The only way to avoid these problems is to not fall for the "extremely low price because we sell a lot" bit. A reputable company might offer bamboo flooring on sale or at a discount but they never sale discount bamboo flooring. Believe me, there is a difference.

Why are there so many bad companies doing bad deeds in the bamboo flooring market? As with any market that has seen the meteoric rise in popularity that bamboo flooring has seen, unethical business practices can also be found. How do I know which company is legitimate and which is not? Chances are that if you cannot find the company in question on any of the flooring review sites or in well-known directories (not in the searches), then the company is either too new to rate or nobody to do business with.

What we really suggest is to just not fall for discount bamboo flooring and if you are one who does, do not set high expectations. Many of these products are cheaper for a reason. They might just be of inferior quality. <bio>Jamie is the resident flooring expert at nutimber.com - the bamboo and cork flooring directory.
For a unique look in flooring, with many additional benefits, the popularity of bamboo flooring in on the rise.

Most bamboo flooring is imported to North America from China where there is an abundance of this fast growing plant. Bamboo is actually a grass, even though most peoplke think of it as a tree.

Due to the fact that bamboo can reach maturity in as little as four years, it has become an excellent product to use for flooring.

It has many of the features of hardwood floors, with its durablilty and warmth, yet is more cost effective.

Bamboo floors are excellent for high traffic areas because it is considered harder than some of the other popular hardwood floors.

This is partially due to the process by which bamboo floors are produced, where the wood is dried first, and then cut into strips. These strips are then shaped before being laminated together and stained to form an extremely hard, colorfast surface.

As with any home product there are various different standards of product quality and more often than not, the cheaper discount products will give you a less than desired performance rating. If the bamboo hasn't been processed correctly, you can have problems with color fading and in some cases a surface that is below par for wear and tear.

It is always essential that you deal with a reputable bamboo flooring dealer when building or renovating your house to ensure that you are getting a quality product that will service your needs for many years.

One other major benefit from the increased use of bamboo for flooring is the fact that it is saving the rainforests that take so many more years to replenish than bamboo does.

Not only will you have a beautiful floor but you will also be helping the environment. <bio>Graeme Ramsey - Read more about Bamboo Flooring http://bamboo-floor-information.info </bio>

The parts of bamboo used to cure common diseases include the bamboo sap, the bamboo leaves, and bamboo shavings. The bamboo sap collected in the joints of the bamboo is used to resolve phlegm. The bamboo sap also cures cough or can help an unconscious person regain consciousness.
Are you environmentally conscious? More and more people are these days, and that's caused an explosion in the popularity of bamboo flooring.

Bamboo is like a hardwood, but is not a wood at all. As a hollow-grass, it is considered a renewable resource because it grows rapidly, replenishing itself. Bamboo can reach maturity in 5-6 years, growing to 80 feet in height. Considered environmentally friendly, many people are taking a whole new look at bamboo flooring.

Did you know that bamboo is the fastest growing woody plant on this planet. Some species of bamboo can grow as much as 1 meter per day.

For the environmentally conscious, bamboo is critical in emitting oxygen in to the atmosphere; generating more oxygen than an equivalent stand of trees does. As the fastest growing canopy, bamboo lowers light intensity and protects against ultraviolet rays, while acting as an atmospheric and soil purifier. Simply put, bamboo is a plentiful natural resource and a viable alternative to deforestation of the world's trees. Choose a bamboo floor and you are helping to curb the problem of global warming.

Bamboo a Practical Flooring

Bamboo floors have a similar hardness to any hardwood floor. When bamboo goes through the manufacturing process to become flooring, the bamboo becomes hard enough to be made into solid and engineered floor planks. You would consider installing bamboo flooring in any similar location that would be good for wood floors.

Just like wood, bamboo will scratch. So, look for bamboo flooring with a solid finish on it for durability.

And just like wood, bamboo flooring can be stained. Although many people leave their bamboo floors natural preferring the lighter blonde coloring that the naturally milled bamboo offers. Keep in mind, that just like woods all stain differently, so it's also true with bamboo. So, expect some variation in your plank colorings.

Bamboo flooring comes in both a vertical and horizontal graining pattern. Check for samples to see which style you prefer ... with the grain or cross-grain cuts. The grain patterns are very different from each other, so be sure you choose the bamboo cut that is right for you.

Installing your Bamboo Floor

Bamboo can be glued to concrete slabs, stapled to wood sub-floors, and floated over most existing floor coverings. Anything you can do with wood flooring, you can do with bamboo flooring. Bamboo floors are also available in floating floor styles as well.

Installing your bamboo floor is much the same processes as with conventional hardwood flooring. The type of bamboo flooring you pick will dictate the installation process. The reasons why bamboo flooring is becoming so popular.

Everyone wants to be proud of the way their home looks, and one of the most important focal points in the home are the floors. When it comes to floors, there are many products to choose from but one of the best that you can choose is bamboo flooring.

If you are not familiar with the concept of bamboo as a flooring material, you may not think it will be the right kind of product for a floor, perhaps with bumps and too round as you know bamboo to look like. You may even picture it in thin stops, like it grows in the wild. This is not at all what bamboo floors look like; modern bamboo flooring is attractive and has the added advantage of being very friendly to the environment.

Modern advances in technology has allowed for bamboo to be processed from the cane stalks directly into straight, smooth strips for flooring use. This give the floor a quality look and finish. For this reason, bamboo flooring is becoming very popular.

Bamboo flooring comes in a variety of sizes, such as planks, tiles or strips. It is very easy to install and once it is installed, will last for many many years. Like all natural flooring products, you will have to take install it properly in order to get the best use of it. The strips have to be tightly and evenly fit and if this done correctly, the floor will be strong and durable.

Anyone who is looking for a solution that is environmentally friendly, bamboo is an ideal answer. In addition, bamboo will coordinate very well with other "natural" products, so if this is the kind of home you maintain, you will see that bamboo floors fit in perfectly.

There are many types of bamboo floors available, both in stores and on line, and if you shop around you will find one that suits you. If you go to a store, you can look at all of them, but if you decide to shop on line, you can request a sample so that you can see it in person.

There are many styles of bamboo that include not only different textures, but also different colors. Some of the major brands that supply bamboo floors are Envirochoice, Springwood, Panda Lumber, Bamboo Garden and Westhollow. Adding bamboo flooring to your home is a long term investment, since bamboo is so beautiful and lasts so long, it will increase the value of your home. <bio>Adam Peters is a consultant who writes on many consumer topics for http://www.home-decorating-reviews.com ..
Bamboo might seem like a wood, but it actually belongs to the grass family and is one of the rapid growing species in the world. Bamboo flooring is now becoming common among many countries because of its diverse advantages. In view of the fact that bamboo is eco-friendly, it can adjust to the changing environments anywhere in the world. The special attribute of bamboo is that it can lower the intensity of light and can protect us from ultra violet rays. Hence bamboo can also be called as an atmospheric and soil purifier. Bamboo flooring could be found common in an average sparkling honey brown shade or in light tan normal shade. People nowadays are changing their hardwood flooring to bamboo flooring because of its attractive color, design and other price advantages.

If you are a person interested in making your home to look natural, then bamboo flooring is the best and the cost effective choice. Bamboo floorings are available in different lengths and could be purchased either in the market or online. The dealers who are selling bamboo flooring these days are also giving option for you to select the best design to shape on your flooring. Since bamboos are flexible they are also used to make both aesthetic items and other pleasing decorative items that are environment friendly. Hence to prevent the increasing environmental issues bamboo floorings would be the ideal choices that are now available to decorate homes or business places. The days of using traditional hardwood flooring is becoming extinct nowadays, because of these bamboo floorings.

Just like buying branded and durable bamboo flooring is vital, maintaining bamboo floorings is also very essential. Bamboo floorings don't require frequent usage of polishers and other cleaning solutions like other hardwood floorings. In general, the color of the bamboo flooring is directly proportional to the amount of time required to process it. It is advisable not to install bamboo floorings, in bathrooms or in other areas of your home and office. Since these areas are prone to dampness, the bamboo flooring could be easily deformed or damaged. When buying bamboo floorings and hardwood floorings it could be witnessed in some cases that the bamboo floorings would cost less compared to other floorings. The labor cost can also be found almost the same. As the installation techniques are almost the same for hardwood flooring as well as bamboo flooring, it is relatively easy and it could be seen that most of the hardwood flooring installing experts have now started to install bamboo flooring too.

Bamboo has become one of the hottest trends among Americans and European nowadays. Soon it is expected to become the common flooring across the globe. It has also started captivating the hearts of millions because of its beauty, durability and eco friendly nature. <bio>Bamboo HQ http://www.bamboo-hq.com/ has articles about bamboo including bamboo flooring, how to grow bamboo and uses for bamboo. </bio>

Truly stunning gardens complete with hardscape elements like wall water fountains do not fall into place overnight. Exceptional designs require a lot of thought and planning while taking into account the size and shape of the area you are going to design. Design ideas often begin with planning around natural elements like trees or your plan may involve the removal of some trees. Weather and overall climate are key considerations =96 including plant selection that will be most suitable for the climate conditions in your area.

Considerable time is usually spent on what plants, shrubs, and flowers will go best with each other, so as to have everything coexist in a way that is pleasing both to the eye and to nature. Will you have a desert theme? Perhaps an Asian theme would suit your desires? Or maybe even a rain forest theme? There are also tropical island themes and pine forest themes among others you could consider. You might even be able to mix some, such as an Asian/tropical theme blended together. The choices are many and each requires great attention to detail.

Gardening Style Decisions

Once you have made your decision on what style of garden you wish to design and build and what plants you wish to have, you can begin looking at the hardscape. Hardscape is the term for things you'll have in your garden like decks, statues, streams, pools, and waterfalls, among other things. Water wall fountains are a common item that would be considered hardscape, and could have many uses in a garden. You could place one against your fence and have it act as the tributary to your stream or pond, or you can set it off to the side of your pond and have it surrounded on its sides and back by lush foliage or bamboo.

Wall fountains are made in many shapes, sizes, and colors. See a large variety of styles to choose from at http://www.garden-fountains.com/Categories.bok?category=Wall+Fountains. Where you choose to place your fountains in your garden is limited only by your own creativity. Will you have a gazebo as part of your garden? You could accentuate it by adding wall water fountains. You could put three wall fountains opposite the entrance facing inward so that as you sit you can relax to the sound of running water all around you. Another idea would be to alternate sides and have 3 sides with outward facing wall fountains adding a small modicum of privacy. You could also make the gazebo into a cave of sorts by placing wall fountains on all 5 non entrance sides facing out, and have foliage growing on top and around so you are left with one unique entrance.

Wall Water Fountain and Design Integration

The installation decisions and style selection of wall fountains in garden design are numerous and the planning will take a lot of time, effort and care. A garden is a peaceful place where one should be able to go and rest and feel revitalized. If even one design element is slightly off theme, it could greatly alter the desired visual feel you want and possibly leaving you less than pleased with your final product. If you want to make your garden truly stunning, you should understand that many beautiful garden designs often include wall fountains.
As an alternative to traditional hardwoods, bamboo wood flooring is a fast growing and trendy idea. It is quickly becoming the flooring choice for many contemporary homeowners. Bamboo flooring is naturally dent resistant and so wears extremely well.

What is interesting about bamboo is that it is not actually a wood, it is a fast-growing grass that has been used for centuries in building. Bamboo reaches maturity in 3 to 5 years and cutting the stalks after 3 does not harm the rest of the plant which makes bamboo a great renewable resource. Most other hardwoods take 50 to 100 years, bamboo never more than 5. Bamboo flooring is similar to oak in dent resistance with much more dimensional stability than other wood flooring types.

Bamboo flooring comes with both horizontal and vertical grain, it has a slightly different appearance than typical hardwood. Usually it is either a light golden color or a darker amber shade depending on the finish. The first is the bamboos natural color, the second is natural looking but achieved using a process called carbonization. Both are very attractive.

The installation of bamboo wood flooring is similar to traditional wood flooring. It can be nailed using a nail gun, glued to sub flooring, or floated, installed over plywood, OSB, particleboard, or over a properly installed radiant floor heating system. Bamboo flooring is manufactured at 6 to 9 percent moisture content so moisture equilibration is typically not required. Some installers report problems using regular floor nailers and instead use pneumatic nail guns.

If you're looking for something different from your hardwood flooring, give bamboo a shot. The wood is rich and smooth and looks great in every type of home. Let your home start a new tradition with bamboo instead of oak or pine, go for something less common and stand out. <bio>New bamboo wood flooring guides: http://www.ebamboofloor.com.. These stems are used to make a wide variety of items, including furniture, fishing rods, and flooring.

Bamboo flooring is an extremely durable, beautiful alternative to traditional hardwood floors. Made from giant bamboo that must be harvested e still young, bamboo flooring comes in different grades and prices that depend on environmental factors. Choosing the highest grade of bamboo flooring that you can afford will ensure that your flooring is durable, beautiful and wears evenly.

Bamboo is treated to prevent pest infestation during the manufacturing process, so it doesn't attract pesky critters such as ants or termites. Bamboo flooring is crafted to resist warping and even fire, making it a great choice for anyone who desires hardy flooring that will last a long time.

Bamboo floor planks are similar in appearance to traditional hardwood floor planks and are installed in basically the same way. Whether or not your bamboo flooring features the nodes is a matter of personal aesthetic preference.

The color of bamboo flooring depends on the type of finish applied and can range from pale tan to dark toffee. You can even find bamboo flooring in exotic rainbow colors from some manufacturers.

Care and cleaning of bamboo floors is done the exact same way as that of hardwood floors.
Bamboo blinds are blinds made up of stems of bamboos. They come in a variety of sizes, colors or stains, patterns and folding styles. Bamboo blinds are very much effective in covering your window but letting a little light to pass through. This type of blind is very ideal if you want to have a brighter room without people pacing outside seeing you in the inside. Not to mention the great tropical feeling bamboo blinds can give.

Bamboo blinds are done by means of cutting bamboo stems vertically forming long sticks when mounted horizontally. After the bamboos are cut into sticks they connected together by a string. The folding patter of the bamboo blinds is very different from the usual modern Venetian blinds.

There are two major folding styles of bamboo blinds. One is the roll-up. Roll-up bamboo blinds are quite easy mechanism than the other style. Literally, a roll-up bamboo style is rolled upward to let light pass through. The second folding style is the Roman Folding Style. Roman folding style of the bamboo blinds was taken from other drapery blinds. Roman folding style in bamboo blinds has vertical folding orientation.

When buying bamboo blinds the size of your window is a big thing to consider. The bigger the size the more costly you are going to pay for the bamboo blinds. If in case you have a small window and you wish to make it look like a big one, you can do it by measuring the outside mount of the window. The outside mount of the window is the farthest limit of the window which includes the vertical window stills. If in case you have a big or wide window and you want it to look like a small one or else spend a little if you prefer using a bamboo blind, you can do it by measuring the inside mount of the window. The inside mount of the window does not include the vertical still of the window.

The inside and the outside mounts are the things you have to consider in measuring your window for a bamboo blind. When measuring your window for a bamboo blind use the standard measuring unit or if not know first the unit being used by the company you intend to buy bamboo blinds. Think about what you want your window to look like if you install a bamboo blind. Do you want it to look like a big window or the other way around?

Make sure that when measuring you only give a little allowance on the size so that you may not be charged with any extra cost due to extra lengths out of wrong measurement. <bio>This content is provided by Low Jeremy.
Bamboo shafted golf clubs were first tried out as golf was invented in the hills and valleys of Scotland. Initially bamboo shafts were used, but these were replaced by hickory shafts and then in this by century steel shafts. The steel shaft still remains very popular today but its use is now being supplanted by the latest batch of lightweight materials. However, modern methods and practices have enabled the development of some limited types of bamboo golf clubs.

Bamboo Shafted Putters

Although still rare, there are several companies that manufacture bamboo golf clubs. Most of these custom club manufacturers also use novel materials for the grip as well. This material is typically cork or a material with a similar texture and feel. One manufacturer compares their bamboo golf clubs to the cane fly rods that they also custom make. Perhaps the most remarkable fact is that these bamboo golf clubs are actually built with bamboo that has been seasoned for over 40 years!

Other Bamboo Shafted Products

Although not bamboo golf clubs, but the bamboo shafted timpani mallets are very popular. Using the finest and straightest shafts, cured with special processes, the bamboo shafted timpani mallets develop a unique sound. Each shaft is carefully selected for its weight, feel and diameter. Other bamboo shafted products are some of the highest quality darts available. Perhaps the most familiar products that use bamboo are walking canes which can be found in most of the fashionable gadget stores. Another use of bamboo shafts is in the making of Japanese flutes.

Bamboo Curing, Farming and Harvesting

Bamboo golf clubs use specially cured bamboo. There are, in fact, several ways to cure bamboo. Some of these methods originate in the Orient, and most of these methods are very elaborate. In all cases, care must be taken to allow the bamboo to dry in such a way as not to crack or buckle. Bamboo can be grown in almost any climate; however, bamboo actually prefers warm damp climates to grow well. Bamboo can be grown in most Southern states in the United States and is growing in popularity and usage.

Harvesting of bamboo can be a unique experience as it grows quickly and requires very sharp blades to cut the shaft cleanly. Furthermore, most peoples' vision of bamboo farming is of an exotic pastime. Nothing can be further from the truth; the bamboo used in the bamboo golf clubs of today has been in the curing process since the 1960s. This level of commitment to the development of a quality product exemplifies professionalism and craftsmanship. <bio>Give your dog enough exercise?
The clean, elegant look of bamboo blinds is also inexpensive and durable. Buy them, or try to make your own with the right kind of bamboo.

For a window look that is clean and modern looking but is also very good for energy use, consider bamboo shades. They insulate a room against outside heat, but they also keep the cold out. For adjusting the level of light in a room, they can be really fine tuned to your exact preference. They have a lovely texture that is an interesting touch for any room. And on top of all of this, they are cheaper than traditional window coverings such as shutters or venetian blinds.

Why pick bamboo?

Bamboo may look light and delicate, but it is a very durable material. Fabric shades do not offer any where near the strength of bamboo, which has a tensile strength that is said to be stronger than steel. Here in the West, we have only considered it for its decorative qualities, but bamboo is a traditional material in the East for many different uses.

Is is easy to care for?

The bamboo you will buy for shades is aged and specially treated for that particular use. Because of this treatment, it is very durable. If you take care of your bamboo shades and keep them clean, you will extend their life considerably. Cleaning the shades regularly will get rid of dust and dirt that can scratch the surface. But be sure to use only soft brushes or a dust cloth on the shade, and if you need to wipe them with water, use a cloth which is just barely damp, not soaking wet. If you get them very wet, they may warp. If they get wet because of weather, dry them off as soon as you can. You should also keep your home at a humidity level of no less than 45% (to prevent shrinkage) and no more than 65% (to prevent expansion).

Home made bamboo shades are lovely

You can buy bamboo shades, but think of the fun of making your own. You can buy the bamboo from many sources: The American Bamboo Society can give you a list of places to obtain it. Before you can work with the bamboo, you will have to remove the natural oil that is on it. This will make it harden and also prevent insects from being attracted to it. To do this, simply heat the bamboo and wipe it down with a cloth. Then hang it to dry thoroughly so mold will not grow. The bamboo you use for this purpose should be 3-5 years old, since younger bamboo is too fragile and older bamboo that was not already treated will rot. <bio>Adam Peters is a syndicated writer of http://www.home-decorating-reviews.com .
When you are getting ready to redecorate your home and add bamboo cork flooring, there are some things that you will want to consider. While you might think that choosing your bamboo flooring is going to be an easy task, you will find that when you take everything into consideration it will make the task of choosing the perfect flooring for your home even easier. One important thing that you will take into consideration when you are choosing your bamboo cork flooring is the color of the flooring that you want. It is a good idea to take into consideration the other colors of the room when you are thinking about this. You will not want everything in the room to be the same color.

However, you will want to be sure that the color of the floor blends with everything else that is in the room. A great way to make sure that the coloring is not all the same is to take a color palette with you when you go shopping for your new flooring. Doing this, will help you decide on the best color for your new floor, and that it will tie everything together nicely. Another important thing that you will want to consider is the many designs that are available for bamboo cork flooring. You will want to get a design of flooring that will go with the other designs in the room.

For example, you will not want a southwest design on your floor, if you have an oriental design in the room that the flooring is going in. When you mix designs that do not go together, you are looking for a mix matched room in the end. Try to stick with the same design theme for the best results, and you will surely love your new floor once it is installed and finished. As you can see, there are many things that you should take into consideration when you are purchasing bamboo cork flooring. When you take all of these things into consideration, you are not going to choose the wrong flooring color or design for your home. <bio>Andy Manifield is the owner of http://www.qualified-publishing.co.uk/bamboo-floor, THE best source for information (and nothing else) on Bamboo Flooring.
Bamboo rugs are beautiful natural fiber rugs that can serve you both - indoor and outdoor areas of your home. Actually the bamboo rug is the perfect area rug that can be at your home anywhere you are. Unlike the sisal rugs, bamboo area rugs fit perfectly even by your pool area or under your patio table.

Bamboo rugs for outdoors

Imagine you are by the pool =96 lying and tanning onto your new bamboo rug, drinking cold drinks and feeling great. This is what a bamboo area rug can make you feel. Or even better =96 you are on your bamboo carpeted deck, relaxing while drinking coffee with your cool friends and having great time.

Bamboo rugs for indoors

As for indoors, bamboo rugs can be used anywhere in your home - from the living rooms and the entry hall, to your bedrooms and bathrooms (only the dry areas), as well as under the dining room table.

You will always have fun with your bamboo rug no matter where you use it.

Owning a bamboo rug is a responsibility. Although not so big one, you should take a good care of it if you want you bamboo carpet to be robust and always look like new.

I am sure you will love a bamboo rug not only for its affordable price, bit for its numerous benefits:

+ It is mold, mildew and water resistant.

+ Bamboo rugs are very durable and flexible

+ Have extended life through cushioning, which keeps the rug always in place and extends its life

+ Easy to take care for - just wipe it with a damp cloth.

You will have no problems with any bamboo rug as long as it is made of quality material and is well protected:

+ High quality bamboo rugs are made from 100% bamboo, which makes the rug strong and durable. Any rug made from less than 100% bamboo does not have the same qualities and you will recognize such rug by its cheaper price. I advise you don't bite on it if you want to have a real bamboo rug in your home!

+ Wear and fade resistant through cotton or polypropylene binding =96 I prefer the polypropylene border as it resists wear and fading much better than cotton.

+ No cracking or warping as all bamboo is expertly kiln-dried and carbonized to prevent it.

+ Protection against scratching or staining through multiple layers of coating (usually polyurethane).

In order to keep your bamboo area rugs always bright and shining, and in good condition, you should take a good care for it.

If your bamboo rug gets wet during outdoor use (for example: it's raining, you spill something on it or splash water from the pool over it), here's what you need to do ensure your rug's perfect condition and longevity:

- Wipe the bamboo rug's surface until it dries. - Hung it for a while to air-dry completely. - The surface under the rug should also be dried and left to completely air-dry before lying the bamboo rug back down.

It's not so hard, is it? I am sure you and your family and friend will enjoy the beauty and comfort of your bamboo area rug for years. <bio>If you are really looking for more tips and information about how to choose the most beautiful Bamboo rug for your home you can visit http://www.buyrugsandmore.com/ or http://www.buyrugsandmore.com/bamboo-rugs.htm </bio>

Today bamboo flooring is very quickly gaining popularity with many businesses as well as homeowners. There are many benefits to be gained from the installation of bamboo flooring in your home compared to other kinds of wood flooring. The main one of these is that it is much stronger as well as being denser than hardwood floors. This quality also makes it very resistant to moisture.

In addition, this type of flooring as produced by such companies as Morning Star Bamboo Flooring is very easy to install as a do-it-yourself project, so that makes it cost effective. Plus it is also extremely easy to maintain as well.

Bamboo flooring is made from the canes of the bamboo plant which can grow up to 100 ft high and can be between 45 and 60 cm in width. These canes are split and then flattened before they can be glued (laminated) together under extreme pressure and then made either into planks, tiles or strips of laminated bamboo flooring.

This method makes them really strong and durable as well as looking very elegant once the flooring has been laid. The process of bamboo flooring installation is a very simple one that anyone can carry out for themselves. Many of the companies selling this product offer you a glueless bamboo flooring system known as click lock where you just click the joints into place so there is no need for adhesive products to be used during this process.

When looking to buy bamboo flooring there are hundreds of sites on the internet where it can be purchased from. But there are also many flooring companies around the US now selling this sustainable and environmentally friendly flooring. If you were to do a search of the internet for bamboo flooring in Oregon or say Los Angeles or Seattle you will be amazed at the results that you would come up with.

As well as bamboo flooring being very strong and durable and also easy to install, the other great advantage it has over other types of hardwood and laminate flooring is that it is resistant to both moisture and insects. In addition, when you compare the prices of bamboo flooring to other kinds of flooring you will be surprised at just how inexpensive this type of flooring is.

Most of the bamboo flooring available today is provided through China and it is fast becoming one of the most popular kinds of flooring the world over because it is a highly renewable material and so is truly environmentally friendly. <bio>Ernest Jarquio is a dedicated family man hopelessly addicted to do-it-yourself projects.
Modern technologies have developed a lot of easy and convenient things for us. For anglers who love to catch fish, one of modern technology's contributions is evident with the development of the fly fishing rod.

Originally, fly fishing rods were simply made from bamboo and split cane. But before bamboo was discovered for fly fishing, it was the tropical wood called greenheart which can be found in the province of Guangdong in China that was commonly used as the material for rods in fly fishing. Bamboo-made rods for fishing have retained its popularity despite the growing number of fiberglass and graphite-made rods. The reason behind this could very well fall on the grace and durability of bamboo materials. Bamboo or split cane rods are well known for their fine form, solid mass, strength and of course the grace it offers for fly fishers.

Another reason why bamboo-made rods are still being used today is because the process of selecting, crafting and finishing one rod takes a long time and the quality it gives is unquestionable. For advanced fly fishers, bamboo rods are often chosen over the ones made out of fiberglass or graphite because the time consumed and dedication that a rod maker gives is already a statement of quality and assurance.

But selecting bamboo rods is also expensive. Quality rods can cost much up to US$2,000. Rods made by contemporary builders make a tough competition as well against the expert makers of split cane rods because a finished product can cost nearly as much as the quality rods.

When it comes to casting, bamboo rods give a different effect. For people fascinated by fly fishing for leisure gets to experience a soft or slow style of casting whereas for people who indulge in this hobby competitively, a bamboo rod gives great performance in freshwater fishing situations. <bio>Read more about bamboo rods by checking the following link: http://fly-fishing-tips.com </bio>

Bamboo shades are a great option for anybody looking to enhance their windows. They are energy efficient and they also help you to control the amount of light that comes into your home.

If you are looking to enhance your windows and you want to use something that is energy efficient, then bamboo shades may be just what you are looking for. They are great for insulating the room and they help to keep the heat in when it is needed. They are also cost effective and they help you to get as much light into the room as you want. So, if you have never thought of using bamboo shades before, you may want to start thinking about using them now.

The Advantages of Bamboo Shades

One of the main things which attracts people to bamboo shades is the fact that they look unique. They tend to look quite delicate, but in fact they are fairly strong. What many people do not realize is that they are often more durable than fabric and other wooden shades, so they are certainly worth having if you want something that will last you for years to come.

Another advantage to bamboo shades is the fact that they are quite low maintenance. Just as long as they are good quality, you only need to use a soft brush and cloth to clean the shades every now and again. By keeping the dirt away, you will ensure that your shades look newer for longer and also by regular keeping them maintained, your bamboo shades will last a lot longer too.

So, whilst they are low maintenance, they do still need a little wipe to keep them dust and dirt free. You should also take into account when cleaning your bamboo shades that if they get too wet the bamboo can start to warp. So to avoid this you should use only damp cloths and brushes and clean the shades gently.

Can You Make Your Own?

It is possible to make your own bamboo shades and you can do so by purchasing fresh bamboo. You can find it in a number of places throughout America, but remember that when you do purchase fresh bamboo, you will need to remove the oil from it before you begin.

The reason the oil is taken out of the bamboo is because that way it attracts less insects. It also causes the bamboo to become harder which helps to keep it lasting longer in the home. However, once you have taken the oil out you cannot just start making the shades, you then have to air dry it to stop mold from forming. Once you are ready to begin you can easily find instructions on the Internet or ask a local manufacturer how to make them and they may give you some plans to follow. <bio>Adam Peters publishes articles for http://www.home-decorating-reviews.com .
