Creating a free Newsletter can bring sales as well as give your readers information they find interesting. Newsletters can be a very important way to bring traffic to your website and build your online business.

When writing content of any kind, do not saturate the content with product links. Mention them once, possibly twice but no more. It is important to try to bring your product links in at the right time and not to put them in very often.

In a lot of cases, people get online to get information. If you are publishing quality information in your newsletter, more and more people will opt in to read your newsletter. If you offer your newsletter on your site and mail your list when your newsletter is ready, you may be able to up your chances to make sales through links on your site. You can also offer your newsletter through your blog. Blogs are becoming a very popular way to get traffic to a website these days. More about that in an upcoming article.

Creating a newsletter keeps your opt in members in contact with you and helps build credibility for you. If they trust you, and you do what you can to maintain that trust, there is a good chance they will buy something from you rather than from stranger. Usually people don't buy when they see something for the first time. When they see the link for this product a few times, they get their curiosity up and click the link. They still may not buy right away but if they are interested, there is a good chance they will eventually buy from you and not someone else. It is very important that you keep your newsletter frequent and on time so you will not lose your sale when the time is right for them to buy.

Another possibility of making money with a newsletter is from advertisements. If you are able to keep your newsletter frequent and on time and build a substantial reader base, you can sell advertising spots on your well received newsletter. This could mean a few hundred dollars a month for something you are doing already.

You need to become good at writing so that it becomes more fun than a chore. This would not be hard for some people as once they start, the words just keep flowing. If you practice this and force yourself to do it, there is a good chance you will find this to be true. It is important to keep your information as informative as possible and not just babbling on. When you start babbling you will soon lose their interest. If it gets bad enough, they may unsubscribe. You want to keep your information as important to them as possible.

There is a considerable amount of time and work put into writing a newsletter. You will find this, especially when you first start. Your time will be cut considerably as you gain confidence in yourself and become better at it. You would be surprised at how much you know about a subject once you start to write about it.

To help you get started. Pick a subject, look it up on the internet and start writing about it with your own words and opinions. If you think this is cheating, your wrong. You are doing the research for your readers and condensing it into a newsletter for them using your own words and opinions.

Happy writing with prosperous news. <bio>The author allows the use of this article as long as this resource box and the links remain usable.
So now that you are now are in market for a new computer you are faced with a common dilemma. Should you get a desktop or a laptop? Desktops are fine if you an enthusiastic gamer but laptops are the definite choice for the average consumer. Hence, in this article we will examine the many benefits of owning a laptop.

Mobility One of the key benefits of owning a laptop is that it is mobile. You longer have to reside behind a computer desk. With a laptop you can take your work outside, on the road, in a plane and practically any place that has a power outlet. Apart from this, the portability aspect of the laptop allows users to be more social than desktop users. Laptops users can mingle with their friends and peers while doing their work done at the local café.

Productivity It is also now a proven fact that laptops helps to increase productivity, companies and educational institutions are catching on to this fact and are either requiring or issuing laptops to their employees and students. It is shown that only 1 out of 7 of laptop users felt that their laptop added to their stress while the majority believing that their laptop made them more productive.

More Compact Compared to desktops, laptops are smaller in size and therefore occupy less space. This is an advantage in areas with little free room like a small office or a student's dorm room. Given its small size, laptops are also easier to maintain, you don't have to worry about air vents being blocked by dusk balls, and laptops are also more cost effective as they use less electricity than desktops.

Performance Apart from gaming laptops are similar in performance, if not better, than desktops. Modern laptops can run now programs that previously had only been associated with bulky desktops. Also unlike desktop users, laptop users are more likely to use their laptop as tool rather than a entertain system and tend to install programs that they need. Laptops users are generally more security aware, and are less likely to be infected by spyware and malware.

In conclusion, if you like bulky, noise babbling, power sucking, and heat generating machines get a desktop else stick with a laptop. <bio>Mike Chow http://www.laptop-review.ca </bio>

Now that your little angel has reached 7 months old. Time goes by so fast that you don't realize your baby is now able to sit upright without your support or even her own hands. Wow, that must be an incredible feeling seeing her grow so instantly.

For parents of 7 to 9-months-old babies, what else can you find in their physical growths? Well, every baby is not the same. One may have earlier development from the others.

For example, your friend's baby was able to start crawling when he was 8 months old, while yours could do it when she was seven and a half months.

On the other hand, the first baby started teething when he was 6 months old, whereas yours did it when she was 9 months.

So, you really need not to be anxious about your baby's development. She will reach the stage.

What you need to pay attention to is your baby's developmental milestone. This means she should be able to do certain things at particular ages.

It's best for you to make some notes on your baby's growth, such as writing all her new skills in an online diary. If you do not want to miss any of your baby's growths, writing the journal will be very exciting.

Adding up cute photos when new things happen will also be a wonderful endeavor. Later on, you'll thank yourself for keeping the memories online as you can see it anytime anywhere. Add up the joy by sharing the site to friends and families.

Now let's go back to the previous topic. If you're a first-time parent, you probably still have a little idea about your baby's development.

Below is a milestone you can use as your guideline. If your baby isn't on her track or doesn't reach many of the stages mentioned here, you may consult it with your baby's pediatrician.

Here are some of the milestones for 7 to 9-months-old baby:

1. Sitting upright without support 2. Crawling 3. Teething 4. Babbling 5. Passing things from hand to hand 6. Standing up by holding onto something 7. Waving hands 8. Clapping hands 9. Turning heads when someone calls her 10. Holding her bottles 11. Picking objects up with pincer (thumb-finger) grasp 12. Testing your responses to her behavior 13. Able to distinguish people she knows and strangers 14. Cruising while holding onto the wall or other furniture

The older your baby, the more skills she may have. If your baby is not able to do some of these things, don't worry too much. It does not mean a problem. She'll reach the phase in the perfect time, soon. About The Author: Adwina Jackson is a wife and mother of a young boy.
Though many parents don't realize it, a child's development is closely connected to their child care environment. Development in child care facilities, particularly during their toddler years, can have a huge impact on children. There are a number of stages that a child may go through, and the level of a child's development in a child care facility generally depends on the facility's approach to learning. Special care in a child's development should always be taken.

Types of Development Occurring in Child Care Facilities

There are many types of development that occur both in child care facilities and outside of them. Social development is one example of this. Social development is something that occurs as a child matures and ages. One very important factor in social development is allowing a child to interact with other children. This is an area that child care facilities definitely play a major role in developing. Day care centers and other child care facilities allow children to come into contact with many other children that they may not have otherwise been exposed to had they been taken care of by a babysitter or a nanny.

Not only can children develop better socially in day care centers because they are around other children that are not from their family, but also because they're coming in contact with children that may be very different from themselves. Children can be exposed to other kids from completely different social, ethnic, economic, and cultural backgrounds. This is not something they would be able to do in most other types of child care settings.

Children may also learn language skills in day care centers. This is due to the fact that toddlers, in particular, tend to learn a lot by speaking or babbling with the older children. Also, many child care facilities will mix activities such as singing and rhyming in with their lessons. This type of learning can greatly aid children in developing their language skills.

Other activities like free-play can allow toddlers and young children to develop their physical coordination and motor skills. Motor development skills are also encouraged through the implementation of activities such as puzzles and painting. If children are fed properly at day care centers, as many now encourage, they are also receiving help with their physical well-being.

Day care centers and other similar child care facilities can help children develop many other necessary skills as well as the ability to learn better. For example, children tend to develop their imagination through pretend play with other kids. Also, they become more active learners as they're able to use different toys and other learning materials that may not be available to them in their home environment. This type of active learning can also help children develop greater attention spans, as they may have to entertain themselves at certain times. <bio>Brought to you as a courtesy from http://www.thehealthcarecenter.com/child_care.html </bio>

We all have been either annoyed, disturbed or irritated with them. You know? Those crazy cellphone users who trounce around talking into their cellphone thinking that the world is their private conference room. Whether it be at a restaurant, movie theatre, or in a library, no place is safe from their babbling. If there is a cellphone signal you can expect to find them. The frightening thing is that most don't even realize how annoying they actually are. Thus, this article will cover some basic cellphone etiquettes that every cellphone user should know.

Talk At A Normal Tone

Many cellphone users think that it is some how better to shout into a cellphone. Apparently they perceive higher voice levels with a better cellphone signal strength. Rather than shouting, when you can't hear the other person, why not go outside or in a area with a better signal strength?

Choose The Vibrate Mode Over Ringer

I can not see any situation, apart from broadcasting your latest downloaded ringtone, that would compel you to choose the ringer over the vibration mode. The vibration mode does the same thing that the ringer was originally intended for, it alerts you when you have an incoming call, however unlike the ringer this mode is less annoying.

Remove The Earpiece

Another annoyance is the number of cellphone users who insist on talking with you while having their ear piece on. You are consistently being placed on hold in mid conservation only to hear the ramblings of another semi-private conversation. If you have to take the call, at the very least notify the other party, that way there is no awkwardness. There is nothing worse than trying not to make eye contact with someone across from you who is not talking to you.

Avoid Talking With Someone When On The Cell

Avoid talking on the cellphone when you know you are going to be talking with someone, such as at a restaurant. Nodding and hand signalling to the waiter while on the phone is extremely rude, it suggests that you are too busy to even be bothered with acknowledging their the presence. In doing so you open yourself to retaliation...food poisoning?

Text Message More

If you have to communicate with another person while at a public area, than try to use one of the many instant messaging clients available on today's cellphones. Not only is text messaging less rude, it saves all off us from hearing your conversation, it is also very efficient. You are more inclined to get straight to the point via text messaging than talking.

Use Voice Mail Feature More

There is nothing wrong in turning off a cellphone or missing a call. If a call is really important then the caller is more inclined to leave back a voice message. Many sensible people understand that not all people can be reached 24/7, after all you are not a receptionist or customer service rep. <bio>Randy Harold http://www.cellphonetalk.ca </bio>

Speech is frequently affected by Alzheimer's disease. An understanding of simple speech often remains intact during the early stages. However, difficulties in locating and expressing correct word usage can begin very early in the course of the disease. The Alzheimer's sufferer may experience difficulty in interpreting complex conversations, proverbs, and metaphors. Because of this, it may become very difficult to construct a complex sentence.

Later, as the Alzheimer's disease progresses, it becomes difficult for the sufferer to complete sentences. The sufferer often moves from one subject to another, often repeat the same words again and again. Writing and reading can be affected in the early stages of the disease often as a result of spelling difficulties. There is also an associated lack of interest in the task involved, therefore, tasks are very often left uncompleted.

The taking of telephone messages can prove particularly difficult. Difficulty with this seemingly simple task is often the catalyst for the initial discovery of the dementia. The typical Alzheimer's disease sufferer would have difficulty following a conversation. The realisation that they are having such difficulties causes them become more confused and frightened, thereby worsening the problem.

As the Alzheimer's disease increases in severity, communication problems increase. With the decrease in the ability to locate appropriate words to complete a sentence or to become involved in a conversation, the Alzheimer's sufferer may add paraphasias, or other words, as fillers to the remaining gaps. This usually results in the loss of a conversation's true meaning. Comprehension skills also decrease with the disease's increasing severity. Questions may not get answered, because they are not understood, following the thought through to completion in a sentence often proves too difficult and the sufferer is overwhelmed by common swift changes of subject matter.

Eventually, when speech mainly consists of babbling gibberish, gradually the Alzheimer's sufferer will withdraw from talking altogether. In advanced stages of the disease, the sufferer is unable to communicate to others even their basic needs. In a few Alzheimer's sufferers, there may be some occasional automatic verbal response, but often by this point the burden of communication typically falls on the shoulders of relatives, friends and caregivers. <bio>Barbara Jones contributes to several online magazines, including http://info-healthy.com and http://healthy-line.com </bio>

It isn't that you don't try to fall asleep, you just spend so much time tossing and turning. You wake up during the night and the process starts all over again. It doesn't matter if you go to bed earlier or stay in bed longer, you just can't get a restful night's sleep.

Nowadays, most of us suffer from a chronic lack of sleep. Our busy lifestyles not only cut down the time available for sleep, but also cut into the quality of sleep we do get.

Here are five tips to not only fall asleep when you want to, but to stay asleep once you've gotten there. These tips are in no particular order, just try them and see which work best for you.

1.White Noise: Many people find it easier to sleep when there is a dull, low-volume noise in the background. You could play soft and relaxing music, or leave a fan running (blowing away from you when the weather is chilly). Some people have found success playing natural sound effects like rain or a babbling brook.

2.Cool Temperatures: Experts say the optimum temperature for sleep is between 65 and 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Consider using thinner or lighter blankets, but if you like the weight of blankets while you're sleeping, try setting the thermostat lower at night. Turning down the thermostat gives the added bonus of saving energy!

3.Relaxing Routine: Some people find reading before bed help them fall asleep. You could also create rituals like a warm (but not hot) bath or tea (decaffeinated!) a short time before bed. Try any routine which slows you down and gets your mind off the busy day. Another benefit of a routine is how your internal clock learns to sleep on schedule; a routine reminds your body it's time to shut down.

4.Reduce Caffeine: It isn't just a matter of cutting out the caffeine before bed, but it helps to know how late in the day your body can handle such stimulants. Some people can enjoy an afternoon coffee or tea without losing sleep, but others find they should avoid caffeine after noon.

5.Get a Good Pillow: If you find yourself wadding up your pillow to get more comfortable in bed, you probably need a new pillow. Learn to be aware of the effects different pillows have on your sleep. Find your preference (soft, hard, thin, thick, etc.) and stick with it. A contour pillow could have other benefits such as support for your neck and better nighttime breathing.

Ultimately, how you sleep is up to you. Although there may be circumstances trying to steal away your slumber, it is up to you whether you allow them to continue or not. The time spent working to improve your sleep will pay off in the time you gain for rest and rejuvenation, helping you get better results in your business and in your life. <bio>Robert Greenshields is a marketing success coach who helps business owners and independent professionals who are frustrated that they're working too many hours for too little reward.
Are you the kind who likes to sit for hours on the banks of a babbling brook, in the midst of still-standing time, waiting? Waiting for that prized trout that will eventually be ensnared by your eager little fish hook. If so, we would like to welcome you to Northern Ontario where you can be sure you will get to take that prized trophy home and brag about it for the next twelve years. Due to the sheer abundance of freshwater rivers, lakes, and streams teeming with fish of every possible type, Northern Ontario is your answer to an amazing fishing adventure.

Between the three rich regions of Northwestern, Northeastern, and North Central that are absolutely teeming with fish, Northern Ontario offers extensive waterways, channels, rivers, and so on. You could take a weekend fishing adventure drive in or fly-in to the lakes and waterways of northwestern Ontario. The region specializes in trophy muske, but walleye, lake trout, northern pike, bass, steelhead, and salmon are also found in abundance. Quenteco Wilderness and the Albani river distribution within the park is a good option for fishing in a laid back style in the backwaters amidst complete wilderness. For river fishing enthusiasts, meandering rivulets between the Marathon and Thunder Bay are ideal for fishing for trout and salmon. The Wabigoon Eagle Lake and Nipgon River area is frequented by flying fishing enthusiasts and experts as the areas are rich in trophy walleys, muskes, bas, and pike. The Samuel de Champlain Park offers a wide variety of fishing activity in its Long Lake where a variety of trout, bass, pike and herring hang out.

When talking of fishing adventures in Northern Ontario, talk of the magnificent Algonquin Provincial Park can't be far behind. This park is crisscrossed with water channels and you can enjoy fishing while taking noiseless canoe rides through them. Surrounded by wilderness, and completely isolated and cut off from the rest of the world, this is a haven for flying fishing aficionados, while angling experts can head to Killarney in Georgian Bay where they can practice their skills on pike, muskie, and bass. Gone are those days when fishing enthusiasts would wade through swamps and undertake many a perilous journey to reach their favorite river hidden deep in the forest. Now you can still go along those fishing trails and have your little adventure, but Northern Ontario has become highly accessible through road and air and can make your fantasy fishing adventure a realized reality. <bio>World class Ontario fishing adventures - Fish the clean, crystal lakes in Greenstone, Ontario, Canada. http://www.greenstone.ca/ </bio>

Hooked, trapped, desperate=97Oh these words are so heart wringing. Are those that utter these soul-searing cries being tied up by their thumbs? Or have they fallen down an old mine shaft?

Well, umm, no, they have=85 well they have made a decision to become hooked, trapped and desperate.

See the news blog tumbling out... Scottish smokers, hooked on their smoking addiction have vowed to fight the smoking bans.

Read the Press Release from the pharmaceutical company announcing=85 Smokers trapped by their smoking addiction are offered a new drug.

Hear the media babbling=85 Britney Spears' man is desperate to quit smoking for the sake of their children.

I bet if you are a smoker, you don't really use these strong words=85 more like, "I'd really like to quit, but I enjoy smoking, or, I've tried to quit but it's too hard, or, I want to quit, but I'm so addicted I don't think I can, or, I'm too scared, what if=85" and so on.

But are smokers totally at the mercy of their habit and spinelessly despairing of escaping its bonds? Would they describe their smoking addiction like that? Trapped? Trapped by a chemical and emotional fix? They're not trapped by their decision, that's for sure, because we all have the ability to make our own decisions, yes or no as we wish.

A person makes a decision to try smoking. For some that leads to more decisions to reach out and take more cigarettes maybe a week or so later. Then some more, then pretty soon as the nicotine gets its grips into the brain's receptors, the person finds it becomes harder and harder not to go out of his or her way to acquire cigarettes to smoke=85 and hey presto, because of their decisions, they are now supposedly a hooked, trapped smoker, and if they want to quit, they are desperate.

But it still comes down to a decision to smoke. Every time a smoker lights up it is a decision they have made. A simple, personal decision, along with 1000's of other decisions each day that make up that person's character, lifestyle, mood, health and future.

A daily decision to get out of bed is made.

A decision not to have another helping of food is made.

You decide to clean the house, take the dog out in the rain, stack the dishes, and sort out your accounts for tax.

You don't dwell on how you'll miss lingering in your warm bed, or how you'll suffer without more food, or how unpleasant it will be to walk the dog in the rain, do the dishes, tax etc.

No, with unpleasant decisions you simply do what needs to be done because the consequences not to would be worse.

Some people make daily major decisions, sacrificing a lot because of a goal worth aiming for, such as a champion swimmer rising at 5am to practice 2 hrs before breakfast. Thus it is with smoking, or exercise, or getting out of bed in the morning. It's a matter of making the decision and focusing on the outcome.

You know it's absolutely pointless to try to worm your way out of getting out of bed. Who would you worm to anyway! But the point is it's automatic, although for some people an effort, to get up in the morning=97but it has to be done. Has to... and your decision is made, because the day beckons and there's a whole lot of living to do today.

You're in charge of your decisions. You are not trapped; your brain and body are resisting, but no-one is tying you to your bed, so up you get=85 no-one is forcing you to have your smoking addiction, although your brain and body crave a smoke, so decide to get help to control it and focus on something better.

It's your decision and the consequences are not that crash hot if you don't make the right decisions. <bio>Megan Carter's website, http://www.quitguide.com is a complete resource for smokers wanting to quit. The step-by-step http://www.quitguide.com/stop-smoking-program is for serious quitters who want a smoke-free life now. </bio>

As dawn breaks over the horizon the light appears thru the darkness as the rays pierce the blanket of black. The thick night fades into levels of day as the sun rises upwards. The morning takes over the sky as the last of dawn disseminates from view. The dew remains for a while as a reminder of the night before. As the leftover moisture slowly evaporates into the warmth of the new day most of the dew will likely seep into leaves, blades, and ground giving nourishment from the touch of liquid under the sun. Plant and earth breathes to grow leaf or seed from the expanse of the morning light.

Day breaks into early fullness as the sun blossoms into being rising up through as an arch of the blue sky. All life below springs to activity to the busyness of recreating itself for growth. Leg or paw reach outward to march or wings reverberate through the air on missions for feed. Humans wake to conscience to think or plan, to hammer or saw, building constantly of their existence as ants and insect thrive to construct and maintain habitat. Everything generates from the ground in the wake of the light that spreads as a vision shining covering the energy to do.

The peak of the sun illuminates the world in the acme of glory. Idea and deed burst into manifestations as plant leaf and fruit bare ripeness for all to use. The balance of nature to counter every natural phenomenon with a reaction evens the scale of existence. Everything as a being walks in magnificence of purpose. The blue of the sky is crystal clear and the air thin, able to see forever in the light of the day.

In the glow of the afternoon finality bears the fruit of completeness. Jobs and projects finish or wind down for the task of day nears the end. Petals and stem start to wither and curl as the reason to mature progresses into the preparation of the evening. Idea turns into ideals as thought vocalize into the vanity of opinions by speculating what is believed as the absolutes of all truth. The buzz of movement by bird, bug, or mammal relinquishes the rapidity of aim when the length of the sun's course finishes toward the end of the day's path.

Yet the fiery mass as it seems to orbit toward the end of the horizon diminish in rays. This time, distance nor twilight tempers the flame. No longer will the solar flares erupt out of the bright sphere as the transformation takes place turning the sun into a dwarf star. Night creeps forever over the planet and the coldness of the universe freezes movement. Bird and plant fall or droop to the ground. Animals roar out in instinct of the extinction fast approaching. Humans in fear race about babbling absurdities until they finally secede from life. All plant and mammal in physical form decompose back to the darkened earth. Our galaxy is discovered light years away and seen that a certain planet could have sustained life under a dwarf star that could have been a sun. <bio>http://www.altoya.squarespace.com </bio>

A functional design layout can be kept really simple for a terrace garden. For a small terrace garden, all shapes and forms work to create whatever ambiance and comfort-level is desired. No matter how small, any outside space will do whether it's in the suburbs, a farm, the woods, in town or the splendor of country, a particular, individual style and design can be transformed for your ecstasy.

In Real Estate, an agent or broker knows all about the importance of location. Location, or in this case space is an invaluable commodity. It is not only costly, but limited in cities and towns; so needless to say, it's to your benefit to value every inch of it possible. Using a terrace is an enjoyable, and for many gardeners stylish way of expanding the limitations of the home.

When one thinks of "garden", it conjures up visions and images of velvety smooth green lawns, herbaceous rows of brush, pruning shears and soil, manures, mulches and the pleasantries of horticulture. With a tiny space, we tend to cram in every traditional element of a big outdoor garden, diminished in scale.

It is a necessity of the highest order to sidestep preconceptions about traditional gardening, in order to make the best of a small terrace garden. The first rule of the green thumb: gardens are for people, not plants. That should be a must for the successful terrace garden.

Every sort of design technique and element can be combined to create an effect of stimulation, especially in planting a garden. Every sort of design technique and element can be combined to create an effect of stimulation, especially in planting a garden. Your garden may require minimal planting as it might provide a sculpture and water. If it's lit at night, the magical effect can be priceless, on rare occasions; an enormous beauty is establishing a dense jungle in a terrace space is possible.

The importance in realizing the possibilities of a terrace garden space, in practical as well as visual terms, is design. Styling and planning your small space is entailed so that it fits your custom and way of living, as it gives character to your home and surroundings.

Imagine during the evening, when your terrace garden comes into its own, especially in warmer climates, when the serene sound of babbling water mixed with subtle lighting as it gets darker can create an unforgettable, romantic ambiance.

When it comes to the terrace, low walls can be used to fortify paved foundations. It can also be used to form a variety of stepped levels. The arrangements of the walls should customize the shape of the terrace garden, as they match the architectural style of the adjoining buildings. An example of this is a classical arrangement with symmetrical proportions of the garden that matches the style or angular shape created by the corner of your house within the yard.

It's highly ill-advised to construct retaining walls around the perimeter of original high walls in a small terrace space. This will only reinforce the snug handing effect of the pre-existing walls as it makes the walls appear more dominating and overshadowing. A word of advice is to divide the areas of retaining wall and apply their

It's crucial that walls built to keep the weight of soil are sturdy and 100% damp-proof.
So your love life is deteriorating and you cannot find it in yourself to take the blame. Well, if a couple had something once they probably still have it and just cannot recognize that fact. In the early stages of the relationship there was a reason you called your love "my significant other". Check out the dictionary and you find significant as "having or expressing meaning/ meaningful". And guess what? Turn the dictionary to meaningful and what do you find? "Having meaning or to be significant." Gee whiz, sort of like do unto others as you would have others to do unto you. If you are seeking this sort of information then you indeed do not want to lose the togetherness of your relationship.

More than often there is more than one area of failure in a relationship. As these failures become more and more prevalent blame is placed, and usually lands on the "other" one. No, No, No. If you have any desire to salvage this situation it is time for you to step up and accept responsibility. If you can take the time to discover within yourself situations you have caused (or aggravated when caused by another) you will gain strength necessary to heal. As this strength increases you will learn to recognize healing and your partner will most likely begin to waver in this direction.

Communication. One of the most important watch words in a loving relationship. Right now discover that communication does not mean "talk". The greater half of communication is the ability to listen. And this does not mean "hearing". When you learn the skill of listening you will learn where the other person is coming from. You may get a different perspective on problems and this will lead to positive results.

The other "greater" half of communication is the ability to talk. Not inane babbling but the ability to have clear concise thoughts and convey them to your partner. When you learn to do this in a positive manner you will find your partner more acceptable to solving problems. This, of course, will lead to open the door to solve the situation. Choosing the proper words for a situation is extremely important. In order to put a positive spin on a bad situation you must be careful of your partners sensitivities in certain areas. An important skill to develop is the right tone for a situation. Positive and constructive communication is a fabulous tool to use to salvage and save a failing relationship.

You have learned to listen and to talk effectively. Now take a shot at being honest. While this naturally would seem to fall within the spectrum of communication many people opt out of honesty when first repairing a relationship. Lying and concealing will just further deteriorate your situation. This honesty will include accepting responsibilities for past lies and deceits. If you want to heal you must open all avenues of healing. Insert just a bit of positive thought into your failing situation and you will find the solution you are looking for. And without a doubt this new found honesty should be coupled tightly to keeping your word. If your goal is to stay together and you have begun to communicate for heavens sake DO NOT BREAK any promise no matter how slight. Now doesn't that seem to be a natural combination. The fact that people do not or will not put these two together is one large reason for failure of love.

There are many reasons you first felt love for your partner. And, no, not all of them are sexual. Difference between lust and love is that with lust we want from the other. Love is opposite. A basic definition of love is simply wanting what is best for the other with not thought of personal gain. Give it a try. Get an renewed feeling for the needs and wants of the other. When problems do arise speak up now. Do not wait for this particular pot to boil over! Do what is necessary to solve it now either through compromises or through simply doing for the other. Problem solved. Love enhanced. Relationship further and further up the road to recovery.

So here we are. The two of you have just about given up on a successful relationship. And here you have implemented listening, hearing, doing and feeling for the other. When it becomes natural you will reap benefit after benefit as you realize a love and understanding that was once only a dream.<bio>Gordon Chandler http://squidoo.com/MakeupMagic http://makeupmagic.info</bio>

There are several online movie download services that have established themselves as real players in the instant gratification film niche. The latest to join the fray is Apple with its iTunes Movie Store. You can download a film to your Mac, your PC or your iPod - although watching a feature link film on that three inch screen could leave you babbling into your popcorn box.

Apple is joining a number of existing online services. The largest among them include Guba, Movielink, CinemaNow and - who else? - Amazon's Unbox. With the exception of the Apple site, you're going to need a PC and in most cases, use the Microsoft Explorer browser to download your films. It's not just films that are available - many of the services have a TV library as well.

There are a number of variations among the sites - size of library, presence (or absence) of first run films, and variations in the licensing agreements. Without exception, your download will include digital rights management (DRM) technology which controls your use of the downloaded file.

The Apple store recorded one million sales in its first month of operation, seizing on its position in the media download market to get off to a running start. They feature Disney products, but these days Disney has a number of film genres put out under various labels. Their recent releases cost from $12.99 to $14.99 to download.

Amazon has deals with 20th Century Fox, Fox Searchlight, Lionsgate, Paramount, Sony, Universal, and Warner Bros. That's an excellent collection of partners, and their film lineup reflects it. You can download The DaVinci Code for just under fifteen bucks, and a show from TV's CSI for $1.99. They have been heavily criticized for incorporating some extremely intrusive software into their download process.

Movie Link is a partnership of several major movie studios, another example of content developers trying, successfully and economically or not, to create a distribution network. Their library is probably the best on the block, as the partner roster includes MGM, Paramount, Sony, Universal, Warner Brothers, Disney, Sundance Channel, BBC, and National Geographic. If you're searching for an obscure gem, Movie Link has the largest catalogue online. Their new releases are usually $19.99 and their better catalogue choices $9.99.

CinemaNow is the only service to have managed a film release simultaneously with the DVD release, which they accomplished with andquot;Too Fast Too Furious.andquot; They also will provide the ability - for a price - to burn selected downloads to a DVD. Their licensed partners include Disney, Fox, Lionsgate, NBC Universal, Sony, and Warner Bros. Their prices for new releases range from $14.99 to $19.99 and their catalogue charge is $9.99.

Guba is the bargain download shop, with a library built on deals with Warner and Sony. They began originally as a Usenet service provider, and feature a Usenet uploads in their onsite search. Their prices top out at $9.99.

While Netflix has been talking about getting into the download business for two years, their service remains in the planning stage. They're going to be challenged when they make the transition from DVD to computer file, as many of the major movie houses have tied up their download rights in services that are their own creations, such as Movie Link or services in which they are partners.

The computer-driven movie-on-demand service is on the scene, and many think it will be the format of choice in a few years. A top end PC is capable of being a highly functional entertainment center, and the convenience of true on-demand films is going to overshadow even the most sophisticated cable TV on-demand services, as compression technology improves and download times drop. <bio>Madison Lockwood is a customer relations associate for http://www.apollohosting.com.
If you have a job then the chances are you have been interviewed at some stage. Many people don't enjoy the formal process of being interviewed and often with good reason. Here are a few ways that interviews can go wrong.

Consider a position where you desperately want the job. It might be the money, conditions or you just don't enjoy your current job anymore. The night before you decide to prepare for the interview.

You try all those tricks you have read on the internet about calming down by imagining the interviewer naked. It works for a few moments until you realise that your interview might be doing the same. You barely look at your CV as you fill your mind full of those negative thoughts like hundreds of people have better CVs or an uncle in the company or are just confident and slick with their language.

Having barely read through your CV you go to bed to dream of turning up to the interview naked. Morning comes round too soon and you are rushing out the door to get there on time. You arrive at the company just on time flustered, dishevelled and out of breath. Wheezing the name of your interviewer at the receptionist you get the clear idea that she thinks you are some crazed maniac as you suddenly go blank when she asks for your name.

After a short wait you are met by a stony faced old crone who looks like she has murdered someone every time she attempts a smile. Walking towards the interview room you desperately try to appear relaxed by attempting some small talk but unfortunately the weather lasts only a few minutes and you find yourself babbling about how easy the place was to find and the traffic situation.

You eventually make it to the interview room and the old crone offers you a coffee. After spending a few minutes wiping yourself down from the coffee you just spilt down your front the old crone asks if you are ready to start the interview proper. She then says something like, "Just as a nice gentle start, talk me through your CV."

Realising you can't remember anything on your CV and that you have not brought any spare copies you mutter things about how much you have enjoyed working for you last company. You are convinced she thinks the CV is a fake when you come to the conclusion that she said "gentle start" and that implies things are about to get worse.

The old crone decides to focus you in on some key areas by asking why you want to leave your current employment. You fumble around trying not to admit that you hate the company, the work and your boss and eventually hit on a "looking for fresh challenges" answer. Annoyingly she asks what sort of fresh challenges you think her company will give you.

Like a guppy opening and closing your mouth scrambling for an answer you desperately clutch at straws. Realising that she may be picturing you as naked has not helped and now you have forgotten the original question. You hope to make it out of the interview sometime in this lifetime.

At the point where you have lost all feeling in your extremities the old crone tells you that this is your chance to ask questions as she has finished hers. In an effort to appear keen you ask her when will the company make a decision. Hoping you have got the job she leads you out to the street after answering your question.

If any of this strikes a chord with you then imagine how different this could be if you had an air of confidence, a way of making small talk that builds rapport, a formula for being able to answer any interview question and deal with any objection. Add in the final element of covertly implanting post hypnotic suggestions that you are the best candidate for the job.

Sound impossible? Perhaps not, many of these skills are naturally occurring and you have certainly seen others do this as part of their daily lives.

Some people just amble through life always getting what they want, including the best jobs. I am sure you have met people like that. These are the people using these skills, sometimes naturally, sometimes they have been trained. In most cases these skills are learnt quickly and easily in a matter of hours.

If your CV pulled three over four times more interviews than normal would it be worth spending the two hours of CV Writing to add those NLP and psychological techniques? It may take a couple of hours working through a Hypnotic Interview Answer formula, but once it is done you will be able to answer interview questions powerfully for life.

In as little as thirty minutes you could learn how to banish interview nerves, build rapport and take control of an interview even though they seem like difficult skills. The only question is how much people are prepared to devote to mastering these interview skills because just a couple of hours is the difference between a great job and just the job you are doing now.<bio>To find out about Job Search Technqiues using NLP and Hypnosis you can go to The NLP Company website maintained by Rintu Basu.
You'll do anything other than looking for a partner online -- watch TV reruns, clean the bathroom, complain about your dating troubles, or even call your mother. You freeze up and question yourself repeatedly when it's time to meet someone for coffee, make the next call, date, or move on to the first kiss.

Sound familiar? It's all too common, whether you're new to dating or a seasoned but burnt-out veteran. When you find it hard or even impossible to date, even though you're lonely and hungry for a romantic connection, you have what I call Dating Dawdlitis (DD).

Actually most singles have at least a touch of DD. We get tongue tied and run the other way instead of saying hello to the cute guy on the train or the hot girl who works in the office. When we need to find a profile photo, we see nothing but pimples, warts and just how big our nose really is. We write and rewrite our emails to prospective dates, trying to be more clever, more real, and more funny, more whatever -- that mysterious quality that makes us irresistible. And when we're on a date with an attractive partner, we get awkward or quiet or start babbling gibberish.

There's another form of DD, we have pulled back because "nobody's good enough." We've dated a string of nerds and losers and that's enough, thank you very much. What we don't look at is how our own superiority masks a certain insecurity, a secret belief that, "There's something really wrong with me."

When DD is full-blown, we may be paralyzed to the point where we can't or don't even try to jump into the pool of possible dating partners. And even if we do manage to date, negative thoughts lurk in our minds like boogey men, ruining any chance of we have of simply being ourselves or having a good time.

DD is what stands between you and love, between you and those cozy nights of afterglow cuddling. But here's the good news: You can beating Dating Dawdlitis. All you need to do is get off the couch and take these four steps that will build your self-confidence and courage.

Step 1: Understand you're not alone. Most, if not all singles, have been through some form of DD. It's OK to feel anxious, scared, intimidated, weird, or awkward. In fact, it's OK to feel whatever you're feeling.

Step 2: Understand that falling flat on your face is part of the romantic process. You're supposed to make mistakes. That's how you learn. You learn to walk by falling down. You learn to date by writing idiotic emails, sticking you foot in your mouth, and making clumsy, silly and just plain wrong moves. It's OK. It's just part of the process. Besides, the right person will find those not-cool things endearing and adorable! Take a moment, close your eyes, and visualize being your not-cool self and someone who is the One chuckling, smiling, and really digging it.

Step 3: Understand you need to train yourself to take action. Almost any action!! Email five hotties that are "out of your league." Send that email response you've edited three times. Open your mouth and say something, anything, to any cutie around. And I do mean anything at all. Anything is infinitely better than nothing. And once you practice jumping in, you'll be surprised at the possibilities that open up for you.

Step 4: Understand it is normal to get 'knocked out'. Putting yourself out there in the dating world is a form of interpersonal training that is similar to learning to box. You are supposed to get knocked out until you meet the right opponent. Then you might trade some blows, but the whole thing is very exciting and you spend a great deal of time clutching and holding each other close.

Similarly, when you are training to be in a loving relationship, expect to get rebuffed or "rejected." It happens. When it does, you are that much closer to meeting your match. So give yourself a reward for succeeding. Because even though it didn't work out with the last person, the bottom line is that you are moving yourself forward. You sent that email, made that call, went on that date. You put yourself out there and that's what counts. Get a Caramel Macchiato, go shoe shopping, or call to your best buddy who moved to Katmandu. After you do, hang out with friends who love you for who you are. Also, recall your visualization of the One being fascinated, amused, and loving you from Step Two.

As you take these steps, train and reward yourself with mini-celebrations you will build a whole new habit pattern of playing full-out in the dating arena. In fact, you will be well on your way to being with that one person who absolutely enjoys all the different cool and not-so-cool facets of you. And your Dating Dawdlitis will be a thing of the past.

For the latest research on this topic and on creating love that is just right for you read my new book, Love in 90 Days: The Essential Guide to Finding Your Own True Love.<bio>Diana Kirschner, Ph.D., developed a unique approach to dating that over 25 years has helped thousands of single women get the love they want.
Sometimes I marvel at how my wife and I arrived in Guanajuato, Mexico, with so little Spanish and with so few cultural skills. Somehow we managed to survive some pretty severe bumps in the expatriation road. It was in our ninth month of living here when we decided we were sufficiently equipped to handle venturing away from the warm and secure nest that we rented from an American expatriate who had excellent bilingual skills. We believed we were ready to live in "real Mexico" and to cut the ties from this informal but very secure situation. We had a good guy who helped us out, a lot, when the frequent confusion of trying to adapt to a new culture overwhelmed us. We were not ready and could have used someone as a mentor to continue to guide us through our language fumbles and our attempts to develop bicultural fluency.

I don't think I can begin to explain all the various things that can go wrong when you get it into your head to live in another country, especially Mexico. And, wrong they do go. These days, so many Americans and Canadians seem to be attracted to the Prime Living Locations in Mexico where well-developed Gringo infrastructures already exist. Some of these cities are Lake Chapala, Ajijic, Puerto Vallarta, and San Miguel de Allende. However, the prices in these cities are now so high that many of those retiring Americans who once could move into these areas are finding it difficult. Therefore, they are resorting to new expat frontiers like Guanajuato.

My wife and I had no clue when we moved here that so many have been silently moving into the Marfil area of Guanajuato and buying up property. Nor did we know how many well-laid plans were in effect to buy up housing in the city with the intent of renovating the properties and turning a profit by opening Bed and Breakfasts or reselling the newly remodeled house at a hefty profit. It's happening. People are flooding into Guanajuato.

But, OMG, the things that can go wrong without facility in the language and culture! Misunderstandings are guaranteed. Hurt feelings are a sure thing. The Gringo thinks he is prepared and oh, how he is not!

Even if you are just planning on living here to try it out, maybe rent a lovely little villa or casita, stuff goes wrong and hits the fan.

A city in Mexico where no Gringolandia has existed is not going to have that well-honed Gringo infrastructure the other cities have. How the Gringo is treated in a city accustomed to a large Gringolandia and how they are treated in a city like Guanajuato, that has a small but developing Gringolandia, will be as different as night and day.

The first most obvious thing is English is NOT going to be widely spoken. This has been a bane for not only potential Gringo expats but for Gringo tourists as well. To avoid a meltdown requiring a ton or two of Prozac to calm you, get it into your head that where there are few to no Gringolandians running around the place, there is not going to be a plethora of bilingual or bicultural Mexicans to help you. It will pretty much be "Se Habla espa=F1ol" only.

Are you planning a trip to Mexico as a sort of reconnaissance mission to an area of Mexico that you think might be fun to be one of the first to "Go where few Gringos have gone before?" How will you master making reservations in a hotel, hostel, Bed and Breakfast when the person on the other end of the phone has no idea what you are babbling in English? Couldn't someone paving the way for you, mastering the headaches before your arrival, be the ticket?

If you want to see the need for this, just take a gander at the many online travel forums and see what they are writing on the Guanajuato pages. One of the biggest complaints is that American tourists think they have made reservations set in stone and when they arrive here, no one has heard this poor American was coming. If, perchance, the reservation was waiting for them, the American all too often finds none of the extras they asked for.

This nightmare you read on the travel forums is multiplied to the power of infinity and beyond when the Gringos wants do more than just plan a trip to Mexico.

If the Gringo wants to study in Mexico, what happens when the school that promised to pick you up at the airport doesn't show? And, if by some miracle you manage to make it from the airport to the prearranged homestay with a Mexican family, what if the Mexican family whose address you were given as your accommodation has no idea what you are talking about because you only speak English and the family only speaks Spanish? What if the house at the address you were given is vacant?

What about retiring to Mexico? Do you want to rent or buy first? Do you want to build from scratch? Do you want proper documentation to get into the country? What about all the permisos you are required to have to remodel or build a house in Mexico? Want to invest in rental property? The problems associated with this venture are infamously legion and, should I say it, legendary!

Even if all you want is to rent a scrawny little casita, the potential for your naivet=E9 getting you ripped off is magnified.

We have this pal who came to Mexico with virtually no linguistic skills. He rented a house from a Mexican woman who convinced him that if he paid a six-month lump sum for his rental, she would cut him a deal for a discount. He paid and she flew the coop with his money. A few weeks later, the real landlord showed up wanting his rent. The lady had scammed him. She wasn't even the landlord of the property.

And all my friend wanted to do was rent a place in Guanajuato. Imagine what waits for you if you want to buy property, try to secure your own permisos, handle your own visas, and so on.

Having someone who is bilingual, bicultural, and whom you pay to represent you in your expat adventure is not only needed but the time is ripe for such services. I predict this sort of "mentoring for hire" service will have a huge surge in the days to come when our fellow monolingual Americans, realizing they can't afford retirement in America, will be knocking on the door of Mexico. <bio>Doug Bower http://www.zyworld.com/theolog/Page1.htm </bio>

I think I'm yet to meet anyone who actively enjoys the job interview process. Sure, there are those infuriating people who suffer from no job interview stress and glide through the meeting as if their careers didn't depend on it, but even they don't actually enjoy it =96 they just don't let it affect them. And 90% of the time, this external confidence is simply because they know exactly what to expect from the job interview questions.

How do they know? Simply because interviewers are an unoriginal breed and there's a set of questions which have served us fine for years. We won't change if we don't have to! There's the occasional wildcard job interview question, but even those will usually be a variant of these (phrased differently, but looking for the same sort of response) or they'll be so off the wall that they're just looking for honesty and a candidate who isn't intimidated.

This list of job interview questions and answers isn't exhaustive (if it were, this article would extend for several pages), but it provides the basic questions that it helps to be prepared for. I'm going to be writing another article in the future about the very tough interview questions that some vindictive employers ask and how to deal with them, so watch this space if you find this list useful.

So, here's my beginner's guide to answering interview questions

"Tell Me a Little About Yourself"

This is a peculiar one and may serve a few purposes =96 the most important of these, I believe, is allowing you to get comfortable in the job interview environment. An interviewer who dives straight in to the interrogation is going to see a lot of anxious candidates. There isn't a set answer here, because it's such an open question =96 just see it as a short speech to promote yourself. Briefly outline your recent work and any significant achievements you've earned along the way.

It's essential you don't go on and on when answering this interview question, babbling about everything from your childhood to your current job =96 they're looking for an overview of who you are, and if you ramble, you'll have defined yourself as a rambler!

"What would you say your strengths are?"

Every interviewer loves this question, because it gives them quick answers. It's also one of the better ones to be asked in a job interview, because it gives you a free license to shamelessly self promote! The key concern here is not to go overboard =96 if you do, you'll come across as conceited. It's also wise to tailor your answer to this question to the type of role being advertised. Read the job description carefully, and match your skills to the question =96 if it's a role that involved a lot of proofreading, then mention your meticulous attention to detail, if it's a copywriting position, emphasise how articulate you are =96 and so on.

Don't lie here, because it'll be really obvious and embarrassing when you're found out. If you claim to be articulate, but struggle to put two sentences together without misusing a word, your credibility will be damaged and you won't be working for the company any time soon.

"What's your main weakness?"

The flip side to the gift of the `strengths' question is this beast. A weakness is undoubtedly a bad thing, so why would you want to bring it up in a situation where your aim is to sell yourself. The best way of answering this interview question, in my experience, is damage limitation. Provide an (honest) weakness, but then point out the steps to limit its hindrance. If you point out your lack of organization, but then explain this is why you make liberal use of postage notes to counter the problem, it becomes less of a weakness and more of a strength: you recognize your own limits and make amends.

"Why are you looking to leave your current job?"

Now this is a bit of a mean question. Everyone must have a reason for looking to work elsewhere, otherwise they'd be sat at their desk working and not attending a job interview elsewhere. Often this needn't be a problem, especially if the role you're applying for is in a different industry ("I'm looking for a change of direction") or a different part of the country ("I'm looking to relocate"). The trouble comes when you're looking for work in the same industry and in the same city =96 the main reasons people looking to move being a low salary, clash of personalities, a dislike of policy or jumping before they're pushed. Needless to say, none of these will impress your interviewer. The best way of countering this is to state your ambitions and point out that you're looking to move up the career ladder at a company with more scope for progression. This shows you're motivated and ambitious, and turns a potential negative into a glowing positive.

"Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?"

I've seen variants of this where the question is 3, 5 or 10 years time but the point of it is always the same: to scope out your ambitions. If the role has an expected path of progression, then suggesting that you hope to impress them enough to progress upwards in the company will not only state your ambitions clearly, but will express your loyalty by stating you can see yourself here for the long haul.

If the role seems to show less progression and they're asking the question to ensure you won't abandon ship after 6 months, then you can play it safe in another way: "Well, in 5 years I'd like to be managing a team, but it's entirely possible that I will enjoy this role enough to be doing something similar". Just make sure you mention a career thematically linked =96 the interviewer doesn't want to hear "I want to be an astronaut" if they're hiring for the role of salesman!

"Why do you want to work here?"

Clue: The answer to this one isn't "I saw an advert and it pays well.

What the interviewer is looking for here is evidence you actually give a damn about the company that's hiring. It's actually a great opportunity, disguised as a tough interview question: if you've read up about the company (the internet is the best source for this) then you should be fine. Just make sure you can find a reason why the company's philosophy will be good for you. This is usually very easy, as company websites are written to sell them as benevolent employers at the forefront of their industry.

"Any questions?"

This is often a trick question in many ways, and isn't just the act of courtesy it can first seem. Even if the interviewer has asked it free of any ulterior motive, then it's still a great opportunity to display your enthusiasm once again. If you ask lots of questions about the company, and your rivals meekly reply "no", then you will come across as the enthusiastic candidate with initiative, while they will have failed to distinguish themselves. Make a mental note of any points you'd like them to elaborate on during the job interview and make sure to ask them at the end. If all else fails, the fall-back question of "when will I know" is always a banker.

As I said earlier, this list is far from exhaustive, but the areas the interviewers are looking to find out about you are covered here. If you keep in mind the kind of answers here, you should be prepared for all but the most vindictive interviewer =96 and I'll deal with how to answer their tough interview questions in my next article. <bio>Gail Kenny is the managing director of Puregenie (http://www.puregenie.com) =96 an online recruitment agency for the travel industry.
The Muscular and External System

How to choose a camping tent is just like assuring your home has the best roof. Actually, the tent is your shelter, your dome of protection against all the elements, your home away from home. Your family might want to spend the summer getting the feel of nature. Of course, you want to feel the cool air, the soothing sounds of the babbling brook. Ahh, but when you encounter the chill of the night because of dim knowledge on how to choose a tent, your summer vacation might not turn out the best. Most people shun away from the basic questions that are necessary to ask for them to know how to choose a camping tent. Here are some tips you should know to help you on the outdoor experience of a lifetime. Believe me, you will give yourself a pat on the back later just because you chose these extra minutes to learn a little bit more.

There are things to consider before you decide how to choose a tent. You have to consider the purpose of the tent, what season you're going out on an outdoor experience, how many will be going on your trip, etc. Of course, when you want to spend time camping with the whole family, you should bear in mind the comfort, space and ventilation of the tent. Also think about the amount of gear (coolers, clothes, flashlights, backpacks etc.) you will keep in the tent. If you are going camping backcountry, then weight, size and durability of the tent should be considered as well.

Consider how long you will be setting camp. Are you just going for a day or two, or will you be camping a day or two every month? If you are planning to set camp for several days, buying a heavy tent is worth the expense and additional weight. If your camping adventure involves you getting exposed to the natural elements: storm, hail, snow, sleet, etc., four season tents are available for your convenience. On hot nights, poor ventilation in your tent will cause sleeping turmoil, so be sure to consider ventilation as well.

One of the most basic and most important parts of the tent is of course, its floor. A good floor will keep out ground water that could seep under your tent. Here are the different types of tent floors:

=95 Bathtub floor - a floor that wraps up along the sides. It is named such because it is wrapped up around 2-4 inches above ground level. This type of floor is made of heavy duty waterproof material.

=95 Nylon floor - this type of floor is not water repellent. Urethane treatment is needed for it to become highly waterproof.

=95 Polyweave floor - Contrary to nylon floors, these floors are highly waterproof but are not advisable in the presence of sharp rocks. The materials of a polyweave floor are the same ones used in covering boats or trailers. They are also heavier than nylon floors and might cause a little more weight in your backpack.

Bear in mind that tent floors can also wear out. A ground tarp is highly recommended. If you want something specifically made for your tent, you can buy a "footprint" tarp for most middle to high-end tents, such as Eureka camping tents. When camping during winter, position your tent in such a way that the early morning sun can thaw the dew or snow on your tent.

You may ask: how do I make sure that my tent seams are good? The floor seam should have lap-felled seams for it to become durably waterproof. These lap-felled seams provide extra strength because they are composed of layers of interlocking fabric joined by a double row of stitching. Nylon tents that are uncoated should have taped seams. Nylon tends to unravel. To avoid this, the end of the fabric behind the seam should be taped or hidden with another fabric. All end points should be strengthened with extra stitching or bar tacking. Always give the material a tug to make sure the weight is equally distributed across the stress points.

A general rule in tent setups states that the seam that attaches the tent floor to the tent wall should be covered with a rain fly. A tight rain fly prevents water from entering into the tent by not allowing the tent fabric to stretch and sag with water. If they do sag with water then the guylines should be tightened. Guylines are used to add structure to the tent. As the tent poles flex in the wind, guylines will keep it upright and sturdy.

Another tent part that we should consider is its skin =97 the fabric. Most camping tents use strong but lightweight nylon. Some bigger tents use coated polyester or cotton poplin canvas, which is heavier. Polyester's advantage is that it can withstand extended exposure to sunlight. Nylon, however is of lighter weight, while a canvas fabric is durable but heavy.

Polyurethane (PU) is a coating sometimes used on tent fabric for water protection. PU coatings are rated in MM (millimeters), for example "PU coated to 450 mm"; a higher MM coating will increase water resistance.

The Skeletal and Respiratory Framework

Now that you've come to know the physical aspects of a tent, you also need to get to know its skeletal framework.

So you have chosen a nice spot for your tent. Your tent floors are intact, your seams are okay, your fabric is durable but when the elements of nature emerge their powers, your tent might collapse and you could find yourself drenched in a storm. You wouldn't want to be caught up in this situation, believe me! So you might be asking, anything else I missed? Maybe you haven't checked your poles! The tent poles are the skeletal framework of your tent. Without it, all the time that you have taken to select the right materials will be useless. The following are the different kinds of poles to suit your tent needs:

=95 Steel - used in more expensive technical tents. Steel poles are very strong and flexible. They are very useful when you are camping in areas where the wind is very strong or when your tent is bound to be challenged with the forces of nature.

=95 Aluminum - standard for high-end tents. Aluminum poles are lightweight, strong and great for backpackers. The very important factor in this type of pole is that it is lightweight. While it is light, these tent poles are preferred because of their strength and durability. However aluminum poles break, they can be splinted together to a usable state. To summarize, aluminum tent poles are flexible, light and can withstand the cold.

=95 Fiberglass - this kind of tent pole is less strong so thicker and heavier poles are needed to achieve the same strength. This is a less expensive option. Fiberglass tent poles do not require pre-bending and do not have lots of special attachments. When folded, it can give you a better packing size. However, they are easily affected by cold weather and these tent poles start to crack in very cold temperature.

Both aluminum and fiberglass tent poles are mostly hollow and are linked often by long elastic cords. These are known as "shock-corded" poles, which allow the user to merely snap the poles into shape rather than piece them together.

Now that you understand the skeletal framework of your tent, you have to understand the respiratory aspects as well. A tent has some respiratory aspects? Why, yes! Now you may find yourself waking up in the middle of your sleep with your tent wet, even when it's not raining or you have sealed your tent tight. Waking up wet or getting dripped on during your sleep won't make for a happy camping experience. If you didn't choose a tent with weather resistant fabric, it could mean that you need to waterproof your tent. While you are protecting yourself from the external moisture by seam-sealing and waterproofing your tent, you also have to consider that your body circulates air throughout the tent i.e., your perspiration, breathing, etc. This internal moisture condenses on the inside of your tent fabrics, on top of your sleeping bag or the tent floor. Most tents available provide a roof vent or door screens. Preventing the condensation build-up requires you to open the provided roof vents or open a door or window partially. This helps you have a slight breeze that will help remove body moisture and prevent unwanted condensation.

How to choose a camping tent can be a big task. While there are a lot of considerations, you will be very thankful in the end. You get to enjoy nature at its very best. You get to gaze at the stars without being cold, and get a good night's sleep in the fresh air, even if you are far away from home. Consider your camping tent choice an investment of your time, money and effort. By choosing your tent carefully, you are laying a strong foundation for years of enjoyable camping experiences. <bio>For a large selection of camping tents and camping gear, visit Camping Comfortably at http://www.campingcomfortably.com. </bio>
